    About The Expanse:
The disappearance of rich-girl-turned-political-activist Julie Mao links the lives of Ceres detective Joe Miller (Thomas Jane), accidental ship captain James Holden (Steven Strait) and U.N. politician Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo). Amidst political tension between Earth, Mars and the Belt, they unravel the single greatest conspiracy of all time.
    About The Expanse Seasons 2:
In this noir thriller set two hundred years in the future, the case of a missing young woman leads a washed-up detective across the solar system to uncover the greatest conspiracy in human history.
    About The Expanse Seasons 3:
As the Rocinante crew digs deeper into the search for Prax's missing daughter, the war between Earth and Mars turns deadly in ways the solar system has never seen. But a new threat in the outer reaches of the Belt could prove much more dangerous, threatening to test the very future of humanity.
    About The Expanse Seasons 4:
Season 4 of The Expanse, its first as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.
    About The Expanse Seasons 5:
In different parts of the Solar System, the crew of the Rocinante and their allies confront the sins of their past, while Marco Inaros unleashes an attack that will alter the future of Earth, Mars, the Belt, and the worlds beyond the Ring.

As a citizen of Baltimore, born and raise, I love the way you connect the city to the audience. In episode 5 08, when Eric lists all the different neighborhoods, that was a nice shout out.

Beyond just being a great allegorical space opera, this show keeps me invested with every scene - doubley so on rewatches!

@@varunsrinidhi4747 not necessarily. Events have been fairly similar, but there are some changes/additions/removal of characters and events. Plus, this is a 6 season series, where there are 17 books in total, with 9 of those being the 'main' novels.

    • @varunsrinidhi4747

@@thedachmo Wow 17 books, I highly doubt they would have made 17 seasons it would be a bit of a stretch. Would anyone watch The Expanse if one of those books were made into a movie?

    • @thedachmo
      @thedachmo 3 года назад +2

@@varunsrinidhi4747 Yeah, it's a lot! 😂 I think the best we could have hoped for is 9 seasons - a season per main book, with bits of the smaller 'Novellas' adapted into certain episodes. We've seen that already for example with Bobbie's storyline in S4, and the flashbacks to Solomon Epstein in Paradigm shift in S2. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the last 3 books into a movie trilogy. The trailers for it would look epic, so I'm sure people would see it. There's a 30 year gap between 6 & 7 so I think they could make them work as standalone movies. The difficulty will be getting the balance of setting up characters within the movie for new watchers without boring or pissing off TV show viewers I guess.

That was a great shot. I had assumed it was a drone or cgi so to hear about the helicopter and crane is cool.

That long shot of Baltimore is amazing now we know how it was done, I figured it was a done before. So smooth, was it done just once?

This show works because they found great actors and crew, and didn't just grab the first diverse person they could find.

    I LOVED The Simpsons joke!
Khlav Kalash! No bowl - stick, stick!
All that was missing was him asking if someone wanted Mountain Dew or Crab Juice to drink.
