This bowl turned out awesome, too. You’re inspiring me to want to try resin! I love your videos because you’re so real in them. They’re not edited to “perfection” and covered with music. Your voice, accent, and sense of humor are just the toppings on the cake ❤️.
Laying these leaves on a balloon or other small sphere would make great Christmas ornaments. You can always do a second layer or three or 4 of light coats. I like to finish with hard resin coats. It ensure it becomes waterproof.
I noticed too, I did adjust the video to 2x speed. But only cause Julie was going to do that as well. Otherwise I never skip ahead on her videos. They are too great 😊
Hi to both of you from a 67 yr. old grandma just across the river north of you in Oklahoma! Texas was my adoptive state, love her almost as much as my native state.
Get yourself some Tim Holtz non stick scissors, Hun! They are amazing and will cut through metal so resin would be easy & the comfort grip on them is even easy on my arthritic hands! The bowl is stunning, great job!!
Знаете мне напоминают эти лепестки одну сказку :,,Цветик -самоцветик". Что сказать: Очень здорово работает ваша фантазия! Прекрасно сделано и мне теперь просто приходится любоваться этим.
Omg...it’s so gorgeous! What a brilliant idea for using those skeleton leaves. I love that the resin is thin and delicate...I think it matches the delicate leaves beautifully. ❤️
I think we are only limited by our imagination..Julie you always finding new paths, new ways, new ideas and you always excell..this is so lovely ❤🧡💜💙💚💛❤🧡💜💙💚💛
Wow Julie I can't believe how someone could make something so beautiful out of something so ugly. You are a woman of many many talents. I hope that did not sound rude I didn't mean for it too. Just so beautiful and delicate I love it.
wow how beautiful! the flowers really set off the colors. was thinking you could maybe set it back in the bowl and just do another clear coat on the inside to make it a little thicker and a bit less fragile. but i love the colors and texture!
Simple beautiful! You are awesome! You are worth it! Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Wishing you and your family a better day today than you had yesterday!
Just wanted you to know - I committed on Molly’s video that you are in my top 4 artists with Kanella C and Mina V and how you all have kept me from going BONKERS being stuck in the house and your beautiful paintings always get a 5 Rose rating from me. So tkyu for your time and talent and just as soon as my sweet daughter of mine let’s me go out it’s off to Michael’s !!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Very nice job! I think another, maybe 2 coats of resin painted on would make it sturdier. It sure is pretty tho! I would like to see this done, like you said, using the inside of the bowl. I think that will be nice too. Put ting the plastic over the bottom and using the glass bowl for weight really did a good job holding the ends of the leaves down. Great job and thank a for sharing this! 😊💜🌺
This is such a great project- I'm so glad it popped up in my suggestions! It's the first resin project I've seen that didn't intimidate me, but I'm sure that has something to do with your lovely personality, too :-) This was really neat to watch- thank you!
I think if you would put the Sharpie lines on, let them dry and put your plastic on there would be no black lines, but other that that, it's very pretty! I just love the colors!
Its absolutely gorgeous. A few suggestions if you do more. You can use the placement and weave a thin led light strip near the bottom (or whole bowl) that will really light up the colors. You can also make i thicker using a larger bowl & clear or pearlized resin on the outside after the first layer cures. There's always ways to experiment with things. Again this bowl is just gorgeous!
Lol, interesting idea! It's basically papier mache, but with resin instead. I'd suggest using UV resin next time for this so you can cure it quickly as you go, with each leaf, without worrying about runs. Then you can add an extra layer of regular resin. I also agreed that putting it inside a bowl is probably better than outside the bowl. I think this might've looked a lot more stable with a thicker resin shell though.
You have a very creative mind. Looks wonderful. Would look nice as a shade for a battery candles or spaghetti lights which would shine though the leaves if it was higher on a shelf. What will you come out with next!!! Take care, have fun, stay safe. 💖💖💖
I love it. I agree with doing inside the bowl instead. Also 2 layers of the film, draw on the first then a second layer to stop the ink transfer. Also thought to one or 2 leaves of each color at a time so you get better blending between.
Would have never thought to make a bowl out of feathers. How clever.
I love how you work through it as you go. One of my favorite tutorials.
that bowl came out beautiful.

Beautiful rainbow bowl 😊😊❤❤

Beautiful!! I actually like the fact that the permanent marker lines dyed into the bowl. It gives it a vibe.
A great idea...who would have thought of doing this.

Hi from Ohio! Your bowl is beautiful. Love the colors!
The end result is so beautiful
Lol, interesting idea! It's basically papier mache, but with resin instead. Oh how delicate...so pretty and I think the flower you chose compliments it perfectly.
You are great, your work is unique!Hello from Russia
You have a very creative mind. Looks wonderful. Would look nice as a shade for a battery candles or spaghetti lights which would shine though the leaves if it was higher on a shelf.
What will you come out with next!!!
Take care, have fun, stay safe. 💖💖💖
I agree! Little fairy lights bundled up inside would be precious!
So delicate and pretty.
I love skeleton leaves. And this bowl is so pretty 😍
You did great giggle girl! Love that little giggle when you think you've goofed up! But indeed it turned out very beautiful!
I love it. I agree with doing inside the bowl instead. Also 2 layers of the film, draw on the first then a second layer to stop the ink transfer. Also thought to one or 2 leaves of each color at a time so you get better blending between.
Also maybe not take the resin all the way to the tip of each leaf so it is a softer effect when it dries.
