- In this video I talk about prolonging my vehicle's life through the use of MotorKote. I originally learned about this stuff through a channel called 'Project Farm' and other videos. I was astounded at the results of the lubricity tests and therefore began using it. It is my hope that by using this product I will substantially reduce the friction and heat in not only my motor but also my transmission and power steering box. I've also used it in my lawn equipment.
NO, I DO NOT WORK FOR MOTORKOTE.

I love Project Farm, he is absolutely phenomenal 😍
I don't believe in additives but a friend of mine swears by Motorkote. I was with him when he took delivery of a used Ford diesel and before he got it home he stopped and bought a bottle at Walmart. He poured it in right there at the store and I could honestly hear and feel the engine smooth out before we left the parking lot. I was impressed enough to try it in a 97 Merc 4.6L with 112,000 miles. Before Motorkote I was getting 18.5 MPG. My first tank after the treatment was 20 and it is still at 20. The engine runs smoother than my other 4.6L with 50,000 miles on it. I must admit that I'm a believer.
It's not an oil additive,it's a hyper lubricant,there is a difference.
@@spartanj2957 Point taken, but I never said Motorkote was an additive. I said I don't believe in additives, and I probably never will. I know it's a hyper lubricant. My friend with the Ford is a Motorkote fanatic and has made that clear again and again. He has written letters to the company and emailed with some VP marketing guy many times, and he uses it in every gearbox and internal combustion he owns. He also uses it as gun oil.
@@spartanj2957well, you still add it to oil so technically it’s an additive! 😅
I'm at 240k and running strong. Going to use in my sailboat diesel.
405000 miles on 99 f150 4.2 v6 been using motorkote since 70000 runs perfect does not burn oil. It's not snake oil
I am a believer in motorkote and use it in all of my vehicles and transmissions. I even use it in all of my rear differentials. Amazing product 👍👍👍
@TheHiddenArchives I been using it for years.
Do u think it will work or is even necessary in a good synthetic oil like amsoil? I'm honestly asking cuz I've been looking into it seems like a great product if you were using a cheaper synthetic or a conventional oil but I'm already using the best Amsoil I appreciate any info you have
Yes no problem
I’ve been using MotorKote for the past 20 years, great stuff
I'm about to follow suit!
Burton hello from greece its been a long time from your comment posted but can you tell me about this miricale oil
Isit good 2 put some in fuel
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your scientific approach to EVERYTHING!!!! You have a mechanical/ engineer mind set!!
😂 project farm is the man
antonio ledesma
smrt emough not to use it on clutch packs
Yup he was the first channel I subscribed to. Dudes presentation skills is awesome.
This product it's awesome I'm using it for about 8 years, never tried in transmission, but in engine I love it, quite and smooth
My daughter's bedroom door the hinges were squeaking and I could hear the boys going in there at night and I would run them out after about two weeks she got my motor kote and put it on the door hinges so I couldn't hear the boys when they snuck in... Now she's two months pregnant.
I have been using Motorkote for years. in all my vehicles. And the true test Under extreme pulling conditions I mean extreme! up the mountains well over loaded No over heat no failure. I put the in the third member, The engine oil as recommended and the C6 transmission. I had 17,000 pounds on a E-350 according to the dot scale up the Eisenhower pass standing on that 460 in 1st gear for miles. no over heat and no way to stop if We rolled backwards, praying for no failure, Yes it works!
Nothing good old decent oil can't handle. I have ridden 800k on my GL1500 over 15 years and 250k on my GL1800 2009 on decent fully syntenic oil and it still looks like new inside. Yes they've both been taken apart. No need for motorkoke just awake on money oil is more than capable of doings its primary job all by itself.
Motorkote is under advertised it's better than what they say it does. I have a Durango 5.9 which I rebuild the engine on but I didn't do the valve springs on the head's or lifters and the motor had a shake and a tick after I put motorkote it ran 80% smother and the ticking stopped. After 24,000 miles I removed the valve covers and intake and my motor was spotless.
You Sir are a very nice man to give another tuber a bump, and thats dope! Cool.
Have you blown up your transmission yet lubricating your clutch packs with motorkote does not sound like a hot idea
I agree! I can't see how adding a hyper-lubricant to a fluid that needs a friction additive is a good idea. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't risk it in an automatic tranny.
@@MrDeviousdom I think it's more meant to help older transmissions that have hard shifting and haven't had a fluid change in a while. So instead of risking a fluid change and having slipping clutches you just add some protection/lubrication to it. On a new well kept transmission I wouldn't bother adding any.
@@MrDeviousdom I thought the same at first but it's not as it seems. ATF is already slippery itself. Neither will prevent the clutches and bands from working since they are in direct contact and have gritty surfaces that don't care about planar friction that much.
@james jones this might be fine for a differential (Non limited slip type)
a limited slip differential which distributes power equally to both the right and left tires.
The '64 Skylark had a regular differential, which, anyone who's been stuck in the mud in Alabama knows, you step on the gas, one tire spins, the other tire does nothing.
[the jury members nod, with murmurs of "yes," "that's right"]
I know motorkote claims it's OK to put it in trans. and diff. but I also am a bit leery about putting it into anything with a clutch.
it does work...my steering wheel pump was squealing all the time..brand new aftermarket. .
bad bearing. ..from napa. ..
poured some in...squealing went away..never came back..going on two years now...no squealing to this date..
I use motorkote in everything motorcycles lawnmower power washer snowblower transmissions , took one of my motorcycles in for valve adjustment at 30,000 miles, mechanic said it didnt need adjusted, took it in at 65,000 miles, didnt need it, he said whatever yr using for oil, its doing a good job, i run my bikes hard, Kawasaki Concours 1400 , i agree Project Farm has that water test that pretty much says it all, but ive been using motorkote before i saw that video, i believe motorkote does work well...
Wonder how motor kote would work if I,ran it in my washing machine
Are you still using it 2 yrs later? I’m curious about the long term effects?
Sludge
Motorkote is awesome. I use it in my motorcycles , cars, trucks. Yes projectfarms that guy is great. Both of you keep up the good work
This is the best product in the world but using it on anything other than dry clutch (BMW RS) will result in slipping. 100%
I realize this is 4 years later, but I bet that clutch is still slipping.
(7-11-2022) Bought my first container of MotorKote after watching the same Project Farm video he mentioned; should be delivered in a day or 2 when I'll change my full-synthetic oil & filter and add this product according to directions. I am most up for adding it to my auto transmission. My object: make my used truck's engine & trans last as long as It can with 228K miles on it, Excited to see what it does & can do......
I use Shell Rotella T6, with some Lucas Stabilizer and MotorKote mixed. Win
I'd be scared to put in the transmission. Clutches might slip. Same for a limited slip rearend
Same here
Ditto
Motor Kote works. I even have used it in the differential under extreme loads. Yes it works.
I like The chlorine in oil Stuff. Really good at lower ppms. Up until 2,000 ppm is harmless and presents great results.
Motorkote is said to contain chlorinated napthalene, which is basically Clorox and mothballs. When chlorinated napthalene mixes with water it forms hydrochloric acid.
I think it might be ok to use in an car that's daily driven. There is a ton of experiences in that.
But cars like my Corvette that might stay parked for long periods and sometimes started moved a few feet and turned off... might not be such a good idea as the water doesn't get burned off.
I have a 1999 f150 I've been using motorkote since 70,000 miles.
I now have 400,000 original engine and transmission never had a issue.
The motor Dosent burn or use oil
Tranny shifts like brand new.
If it's bad for your engine I think I would have noticed by now lol.
@RobertBrown-wm9ob thank you for your comment, you juat confirmed to me that this product is a good one then.
I am no chemist, but if it forms HCA then it would kill any free radicals. It would (and does) coat (hence the name) the motor in a protective film of the shortest chain molecules you'll ever(not) see. It works and can't be washed away with water.
If my oil has just been changed and topped off, should I siphon out like 12-14 oz to then add MotorKote to avoid overfill? 🤔
Motorkote contains chlorinated paraffin. ALONE, that's a good lubricant _however,_ when exposed to heat and atmospheric moisture a small amount of it turns to HCl (hydrochloric acid, aka "muriatic acid") and I will *NOT* use it on anything I want to keep long term. Use a good, modern day synthetic oil and change it on schedule. There is no 'magic mechanic in a bottle' formula that actually works.
most oils have Anti acids anyway you are worrying FOR NOTHING.. aka ethanol creates acid in the oil esp for those that use E85 THAT is why you use E85 rated oil that is part of the SN plus standard
That's funny, I've been using it for well over 15 Years in all of my Equipment and Vehicles and have no indication of Acids or Chlorinates in any of my Engines after a full oil analysis.
Their MSDS indicates no usage of Chlorinated Paraffins in their formulations.
If your car holds 7qts of oil and you added 1qrt of MotorKote, you now have 8qts in your system. Isn’t that to much?
Does anyone have an answer to this
Love that guy project farm .
Motorkote is the trick to keeping range rovers and jaguars alive, or any engine with poly timing chain guides! Trust me it works! Also great for al flat tappet cams!! Trick juice of the trade!
I have an 03 4.2L jag. What experiences have you seen?
Any long term results? Have you had any noticeable improvements in fuel mileage, etc.?
maybe 1-2%...it reduced friction reducing heat, prolonging gears and fluids
hey Jimmy I love your videos you have really shown a lot of awesome videos that's help me out and motorkote I swear by it too it is good stuff I put it in my 2016 Malibu with a 2.5 l and I got better fuel mileage in accelerated better I can just tell a difference thanks so much you're a blessing your follower Patrick Ford Olney Illinois thanks again man love your videos keep them up
Yeah, I watch Project Farm too. It’s an excellent channel. Jim, did you end up selling one if the Suburbans yet?
great stuff motorcoat. i use it in everything I own with an engine. that includes my harleys
Did you take some oil out of the crankcase before adding MotorKote? 16 oz of MotorKote is another quart. Seems like you need to take out some oil or you'd be overfilling the crankcase.
Warren Cotton no need. It doesn’t add volume because it coats the entirety of the engine.
Actually I misspoke. 16 oz is only a pint. Still need to drain a little oil, though.
@@nephi30 You think so, huh? Dream on.
@@wcotton It's not enough to worry about, probably won't even change much on the dipstick.
You people are sick paranoid geeks, your think the motor can't handle 16 oz of oil?
Yes motor kote is amazing ihave a 2008 bmw 328i that I purchased for1100 the guy I got it from said the motor shot cuz it made loud tik tik I added half a qt of motor kote noise went away it runs perfect now its expensive but worth every penny....this is a couple years ago now its about time people started using this stuff....
Already seen it, it's cheapest by the gallon, " project farm " is exellent. 👍
Hey dude, any updates as to further benefits or mechanical changes after application?
The engine was still idling super smooth when the car was junked because of a slipping transmission.
Good stuff man! ✌🏼
FYI, Motorkote is a Chlorinated Lubricant.
Chlorine reacts with water and some of the other combustion byproducts in your engine. These reactions form strong acids such as HCl (HydroChloric Acid). These acids overtime will begin to eat away at the metals inside the engine. This can lead to premature engine failure. AMS Oil released a TSB about these Chlorinated additives, Motorkote contained 27.2% Chlorine, and they cited a Cummins truck engine that had failed due to these acids forming and eating away at the lifters, tappets and valve guides.
Also keep in mind, these additives also VOID your engines warranty. AMS Oil's TSB specifically states that the warranty on the Cummins that had failed was voided due to the Chlorine content found within the metals inside the engine.
I don't see on the MSDS that MotorKote had any Chlorine in it. AMSoil would not reveal what it had so maybe they have Chlorine in it.
@@robertsmith3774 The MSDS I looked at lists a CAS# 64742-65-0.
Upon looking that up, its a heavy paraffinic petroleum distillate.
Paraffins are Chlorinated Oils.
I put this in my engine but took it out a few hours later because I read about the chlorine content. Do you think there will be any lasting effects since motorkote supposedly bonds to the metal?
@@Sno6403 if you've only been using it a few hours I'd imagine you should be ok. Most of the failures I've read about occurred after prolonged usage.
@@RogueRAZR Cool. I'm paranoid so I'll probably send my oil in to blackstone for acid count & chlorine analysis just to be sure
I'm curious for a 'long' term update on MPG's. I don't know if you've measured your MPG, but my Traiblazer 4x4 4.2 SWB with 160k gets about 15.5 mixed. I'm curious if this would effectively pay for itself in fuel savings.
There would be much more to consider than just Fuel Savings like the reduced wear and tear on your engine as a result of a significant reduction in friction and heat. I've personally had nothing but success with this product and I use nothing else!
I put in my 2017 Subaru Forester XT front and rear differential when I did the gear oil change. It drives a lot more smooth and I been getting about 1-2 mpg better on average. Great stuff. Planning on adding it into my truck next.
I put it in engine (1oz per quart), transmission (not CVT)[2 oz), power steering(1oz), radiator(1-2oz), and I just tested .25cc in my son's R-134 system for his AC (he had to change the compressor) will see if it works or if it burns it up). i can say it saved my '03 Toyota Camry when my other sons GF overheated it, and blew the headgasket...it got water in the crankcase...changed the head gasket...flushed the oil, drained, put in cheapo, drained, changed filters 2x times...and it's running like a top again!
when you spool up the twin nagasaki noisy boys and you Pearl Harbor your 4L60E
he said 4L60E I had to post the MEME
Thanks love project farm !!
Jimmy, I read a few other reviews on motor kote. They all say when you drain the oil it looks like bubblegum. I guess they mean sludge, thick , black sludge. Have you found that to be the case?
I've been using Motorkote every oil change since I've this video was posted. Every 5,000 miles in a 2005 Ford Expedition and 8,000 in a 2008 Gmc Yukon xl. The oil was never sludgy or extra thick
this makes me wana try it out. projectfarm is cool to. THANKS
Don't, it has chlorinated parrafin. It will acidity eventually, if you do use it you need to send your oil for acid count and chlorine analysis
I picked up .3 mpg using this stuff.
put some motor kote. in your rear end diff.....mpg's will go up...
No some have clutch packs as well(limited slip) it's a bad idea
Not a good idea, differential uses thicker oil much like grease systems and you don't want too slippery
Dang, back in the day I remember motorkote said use every fourth oil change, now it says use every other oil change. So either the product isn’t as good anymore, or they’re trying to get you to buy more, more often. ☹️
They say the benefits are most effective at every oil change. Still get lots of benefit using it occasionally
I would say that the sales department influenced the marketing department to change the label. ;-)
Take into account all the additives in new oil that may strip away motorkote abilities sooner than older oils ability
i wonder if motorkote will poison the catalytic converter
Or they have better long term data, or it interacts with full synthetic or the ultra low weight new generation oils differently
You have a new sub bc you promoted @ProjectFarm! Todd is the bomb!
Im not sure I'd of put it in an automatic trans. There are clutch packs and bands that are designed to slip under controlled circumstances. It may interfere with what the engineers design intended. Otherwise what the heck give it a go. Personally I say use good quality oil and change as needed and you shouldn't need gimmick additives.
Go watch project farm video on motor kote. Not a gimmick
In transmissions and limited slip diffs I agree.
But engine and PS many many people have been doing it for 20+ yrs. There is good evidence it reduces friction.
The friction in an automatic transmission is need for the clutches to fully engage and not slip too much. I would be careful using much if any in any transmission that has clutches or synchronizers
me too.. I'm high suspect of putting it in a auto or manual trans where the clutch disks / syncro disks rely on a certain amount of friction to do their job. For me.... I'll just change the fluid and not mess with it.
But in engine and steering.. yes I'm using it.
@@wydopnthrtl
Don't forget differentials.
@@shane250 Open diffs sure. But not on LS (clutch) types.
It might perform just fine but I want to see more evidence it doesn't adversely effect them over long periods of time.
@@wydopnthrtl
Yeah, of course... Nothing with a clutch. I don't want to reduce the friction of a component that needs friction to perform correctly.
Your missing the differential. 😬
antonio ledesma it has clutch packs. by far the last place you want to use it.. unless you have a solid rear axle or open differential.
since its a newer car it more then likely has traction control and clutch plates. it will foul up the clutch plates and and trigger a code(service traction control)
I've been waiting for Project Farm to test Prolong. It's what I've used over the years in my vehicles.
motorkote worked on my freightliner dd15.👌
Add motorkote not directly into engine. Must pre mix it
Sounds smooth
What about the chlorine naphalate it contains-it is extremely corrosive for engine
I love Project Farm too and I agree that the results look quite impressive. However, I would not personally use this product because it contains chlorine. There is no question that this product increases lubrication, but there is way more to an oil than how slippery it is. A substance can be the slipperiest in the world and completely eliminate friction, but if it's eating the inside of the engine it's clearly not good. They claim that it has no corrosive effects, which I have not tested yet. However, either way, I don't like the idea of pouring chlorine into my oil. There are a number of articles online on why chlorinated oil additives can be harmful by reacting with moisture, metals, etc to form corrosive substances.
Also, manufacturers of oils no longer use chlorinated additives for this same reason. Considering how cheap chlorine is, why would they stop using it if it was so great? Why don't the very high end oils like Amsoil and Royal Purple use these additives in their oils if they are so great for the engine? And considering that most properly designed engines will go 200K plus miles with proper maintenance with no additives, I see no reason to mess with that success by adding anything to the oil.
I would also be extremely careful adding anything to the transmission fluid. The transmission needs a certain amount of friction for the clutches and bands to not slip, so even though an additive may improve the fluid's lubricity, it is doing the transmission more harm than good if it's causing the clutches and bands to slip. And even if it isn't slipping, reducing friction WILL result in decreased holding power, so this could become a problem over time or if the transmission is loaded heavily. And the actual gears in transmissions rarely fail, it's the friction material in the clutches and bands that cause most transmissions to end up in the scrap pile rather than the hard parts like gears.
agree with you 100%. I’ve seen comments were people witnessed eating/ reacting with aluminum ( heads etc).
Project farm is great
Is there a update on the motorkote ? What's the long term effect
I added motorkote when changing the oil in my crv. The engine was noticably quieter after about 1 minute. Since then I've put 5000 miles on the oil and it's still a golden color. Usually oil would be black by now. I love motorkote.
@@dustinevernden i would be worried if the oil was unable to clean the engine and hold combustion by products in suspension. that's its main job besides lubrication
Hey I like the video but all you had to do was dump in the entire bottle on the front and says 16 oz why did you measure
So whats the results update?????
Put some thorium in the gas tank and solar road way panels on the roof to get unlimited MPG
Fine..... I’ll buy some.
Thank you for the information. I have a 1997 Chevy C1500 Suburban with 185,000 original miles. It's the only transportation I have and want to keep it going.
How is the motorkote testing going?
I would have concerns about long term effects. many of these additives contain high levels of chlorine which is harmful. I will stick to using a quality full synthetic oil. But the lawn mower video was cool. It did not however convince me that it would be a good idea to use it in my vehicle.
Snake Oil , no different than Z Max that was advertised on TV years ago.
Just Use Amsoil Signature Full Synthetic with Amsoil EA filter and you will get the best engine protection in the world. Which if good for 1yr or 25k miles.
I agree with you about the Amsoil, however the Motorcote is a one time treatment what would it hurt besides costing you $ 30 a quart.
Have you seen project farms video he test them if it is snake oil they must have beat off a lot of them or how ever yu get snake oil
Amsoil is overpriced and overrated. If you want the best go with Schaeffer oil. Best lubricants and fuel additives in the world 😎
@@charlespetersonii6989 was going to say that, but you beat me to it!
Or be like me and run amsoil WITH motorkote
Have you tried this on your power steering and if so how was the results
one thing's for sure you should not be dumping random additives in your transmission that's a pretty risky move imo. transmissions rely on a pretty specific fluid chemistry in order to function properly you go adding random friction modifiers or whatever and do that and you're going to be in for a bad time.. how they don't even recommend adding new transmission fluid to a transmission if it hasn't been changed in an extended period of time as the fresh fluid will have additives that will send your transmission down to slip town...
MXSLICK exactly right, would this mean he’ll soon experience some slippage? ( just a question I’m no professional technician)
nothing "improves" a transmission..its designed for one fluid type. even manual transmissions need specific oil or the syncronisers wont work and gears will grind. Automatics are way more sensitive.
I put new transmission fluid in my car because it was slipping and slamming into gear ofter I put new fluid in it worked almost like it was new again oh I did add a bottle of Lucas stop slip too
I've heard that tired old argument that the grit/shavings in the old fluid actually "help" the transmission. I asked a tech who has been building transmissions for over 20 years, while he was rebuilding one in the shop, (on the bench)what he thought about all that...he said its a bunch of shit. Change your Transmision fluid and filter about 10-15 thousand before the due date and keep doing that.
@@jjjsmith2497 the problem is modern transmissions have adaptive shifting..they learn over time. If fluid is very old and then suddenly its replaced with fresh fluid there is often serious slippage that occurs which can destroy whats left of a transmission in no time at all...this is only avoided by doing regular fluid changes but alas how many times do you buy a used car and have no idea the service history. ATF is often never changed by the original owners.
when adding motorkote to the engine do you subtract the a mount of motorkote from oil so it’s not overfilled or what sorry for the probably silly question
I was wondering the same. Any find a reference to clarify. Look forward to an opinion.
Did you use Motorkote in your Camaro?
I bought a new Camaro SS, and i wonder if i can add Motorkote to the engine.
Greeting from Sweden.
Yes, you can use it...and it works very well in those Cars!

My only question is how many of you giving your 2 cents are engineers or scientists, if not maybe you should consider keeping your opinions to yourselves, I'm sure the people that design this stuff are and test it thoroughly, and as for pure synthetic oil it too becomes acidic, but of course those companies prey on stupidity
So YOU PLAN to over fill (possible ) with 16Oz of fluid into the engine
DID YOU TAKE OUT THE SAME amount that was put in? that is a 1/2qt
Its not that critical
Lol you're an idiot, there's a huge safety margin, even Toyota can be overfilled by over 60 oz.

Hmmm.......instead of spending $30 a quart for an additive, just spend the extra $ on good quality synthetic motor oil and trans fluid. Never been a big fan of additives, they can change the quality and performance of the oil you have in there. I've got 300,000 miles on my Silverado and doesn't burn a drop of oil! Used Amsoil for the last 200,000 miles.
Amsoil is no SAE approved. Read about the API.
Wow jimmy, your right, project farm, is great, I see this video, is 3 years old, how did, you transmission, respond to this treatment , now, I'm curious, I used to rebuild transmissions, years ago, and I wonder how, its been holding up, any issues, that you noticed, since, great video, thank you for sharing!
never never and never ever add any anti friction into a transmission with wet clutches.
auto trans or wet dct trans.
gd to go for gears and trans without wet clutches.
It says right in the directions on the container not to use with wet clutches
So does saying that you don't work for company also mean that you are not sponsored by them or paid by them in anyway?
The best aditive oil is ceratec da liqui moly engeneering oil , Germany quality .
I think Project Farm found otherwise.
Is motorkote good for manual transmissions?
Alex C.
MK has done wonders for my diesel engine, I have the X 15 Cummins engine, with any other engine it takes 25 to 27 gallons to go 100 miles, with this Cummins X 15 engine it only takes 22 gallons to go 100 miles, after mixing 16 ounces of motor coat with the standard oil for this engine I know go 100 miles at 19 to 21 gallons depending on the route, area, and season.
My oil tank is a max 11 gallons, I put 10 gallons of standard engine oil for this engine and 1 gallon of Motorkote, I had all of the oil dumped out of my gear differentials and replaced it with Motorkote, now I take fully loaded trailers total weight 40 tons, I fuel only according to total route destination, Again, depending on the route I fuel at least twice if I'm going to mountains, now I fuel only once and I still have about 20 to 25 gallons of fuel left, didn't have to change my oil for year, totally worth it
I also use upper cylinder lubricant from Motorkote, my engine pearls like a cat now I get up to three MPG's, never thought I would see 9 MPG's in the Northeast and 10.6 mpg's west of Colorado I 70 Fully loaded, 80,000 pounds
When my truck needs to Regen to burn out the ash from the DPF filter it takes at least two hours, that's almost 2 gallons wasted, with the motorkote DPF cleaner it takes less than an hour sometimes
I look at the comments were people are using this in their car, you're not gonna notice that much of a difference if any at all but it works, and cars really don't need much; you would only feel and notice a big fuel economy difference in heavy duty engines and parts..
What is the update on car
Damm bro, should've went ahead and thrown some in the tires while you were at it 🤣🤣🤣
Why would you put into the transmission fluid? Would that mean the transmission would start slipping
lol right on you can;t even remove that stuff with out sanding it off
@@punker4Real false, maybe in a wet clutch system, it wouldn't be good in large amounts.
I’m sure you mean well but it’s not smart to use this in automatic transmissions. Manual OK but not autos. And why on earth would you determine the recommended amount for the engine and then add extra? That was pointless.
Not even front on 4x4/rear differential as there is clutch plates as well...
I would still say no in a manual trans. At least in one that you want to shift quickly. There are little clutch plates that help the synchro's mesh when shifting. Now if you don't care about shifting fast then yeah it might be beneficial
How is motor coat working for your car? Do you still feel the same after using it it now for quite some time?
How’s it working for you now, if you don’t mind me asking?
Can you add Motorkote to your gas tank to help lube the fuel pump since gas will not remove Motorkote?
Have you used it in modern engines, with variable valve timing?
Do you have to remove the same amount of oil to add the motorkote? If no that means your oil it's going to be over filled! So let's say that my car it takes 5L oil and the motorkote is 300ml ! Do i have to remove 300ml of oil ? Cheers
Best line has stronger bearing test than motorkote.astm.motorkote has 800 psi, best line has 1180 psi.bestline probably last 6-7 k miles before oil change.hard to say how long will motorkote will last. Impossible 20 k miles before oil change.
Is this the same motorkote in the oil/trans/power steering or is it specific to each application?
Yes is the same.
Why did you put that in the transmission? That’s a wet clutch.
do a follow up plz
How would you compare this to Prolong Super Lubricants.
So I just saw your video about MotorKote that was several months ago. Is everything still running well; any signs of your car's engine or transmission showing wear?
So far so good. I haven't been continually putting it in... But I've had no problems.
What a out sludge buildup? Does motor kote cause any sort of slugs buildup?
Question. To add additional lubricant on top of the recommended capacity would that not create DO NOT Over Fill condition? Thanks
Per manufacturer claims, your level will return to normal as the motorkote bonds and coats the surfaces
I'm an OEM engineer. We always build in some buffer for dummies who overfill.
IN an engine if you over fill so much that you see the oil aerated / foaming... STOP and drain some out.
Anyone ever tell you you look like Michael Gross? The dad on the 80's sitcom Family Ties.
Stop being gay.
no oil needs to be taking out...it sink into the metal and give it a invisible Cushion
Do you use it in your 2005 suburban?
If you are using MotorKote to Prolong your engine have you ever used Prolong to Motorkote your engine?
You’re a silly goose
