The Perfect Disposition for Holy Week

- How should we approach the beginning of Holy Week? Fr. Mark-Mary explains that following Mary's example is the most powerful way to enter the mystery of Christ's Passion. We should be open, available, and receptive to receiving the Bridegroom.
Fr. Mark-Mary encourages us to ask Mary to guide us into this receptive state. As Jesus sacrifices for our salvation, our most faithful response echoes Mary's surrender: "Be done unto me according to your word."

MOTHER THERESA OF CALCUTTA: “In spite of our defects, God is in love with us, and keeps using you and me to be the light of love and compassion in the world. So give Jesus a big smile, and a big thank you!”
An amazing quote! Thanks for teaching me it.
Mary conceived without sin pray for those who have recourse to thee!
That thumbnail roped me in. My day of consecration to her was the happiest day of my life.
Mother Mary, thank you for the gift of your son Jesus. Thank you Jesus for your passion, death and resurrection for my sins. Help me make this holy week spiritual and with gratitude for your sacrifice for me.
Thanks Lord for the gift Fr. Mark who guide me and leads me closer to Jesus with his talk
ST. TERESA OF AVILA: “God protect me from gloomy saints! I am more afraid of those who are terrified of the devil than I am of the devil himself!
From somber devotions and sour-faced saints, good Lord, deliver us!”
This is the holiest week of the year. Will we must pray to our father's Jesus of our sins and Carrie our cross with him
I find this week difficult. Seeing all Jesus suffered for me a sinner....Thank you Jesus...❤
Its sad and difficult but amazing too! He is risen now. And he did it just for you! And just for me. He was thinking of both of us on the cross when he suffered. That's part of what gave Him the strength to do it. Have an amazing Easter.
Mother Mary guides me this Holy Week, to ponder on the passion of Christ, to be healed spiritually
Thank you Fr. Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏🏽✝️✝️✝️
Thank you, Fr. Mark, for shepherding us into the proper frame of mind. With so many distractions that compete for our attention, it becomes far more difficult with each passing year to approach Holy Week with the solemnity and reverence it deserves. I pray with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that we may avert our gaze, close our ears, and protect our thoughts from all that diverts our attention away from the redemptive work that Jesus did on the cross for us.
It was my first Holy week as a new Christian. So much to see and learn. It's all so new to me. The church changed over the week. We had candles at the vigil last night. It was amazing stuff.

I celebrated today as my First holy Communion Anniversary year 63…..BUT LITURGICALLY today as Annunciation was over ridden by Holy Week. We also don’t push it into the Octave of Easter so as a Roman Catholic Church we celebrate it Liturgically the Day after Divine mercy Sunday in year 2024. HOW COME THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED FATHER? We all were more Liturgically educated in “the olden days”….. sorry Father for giving you correction - I know many get twisted w a lay person correcting a clergy but my own brother was ordained when I was 11 3/4 so in seminary prior. Thus, I was never taught that and am myself no matter what your title is; especially when not 99% but 100% correct. Thank you!
It’s not *what* you say, but *how* you say it…

Always been an ingrateful son. I understand...
In Hebrews, God the Father is named first:
God in sundry times has spoken to us by the prophets, but in Hebrews 1:2 it clearly says God has spoken unto us BY his Son and has given his Son, the _appointed heir,_ all things. God made all things _by and through_ his Son. In Hebrews 1:5, God says that “I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son.” In Hebrews 1:6, God the Father brought Jesus, the firstbegotten, into the world and said “let all the angels of God worship him.” In Hebrews 1:8, God said to his Son “Thy throne, O’ God…” meaning his Son is an exact representation of him, and it is God who is glorifying himself in his Son. People use this to claim Jesus is God, not even realizing that God is talking to his Son, the firstbegotten. All who say different are hellbound. As it is written in 1 John 5:1, “whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that *loveth him that begat [God]* loveth him ALSO that is _begotten of him [Jesus].”_
There is only *ONE God, the Father,* and *ONE Lord, Jesus Christ* (1 Corinthians 8:6). To reject this is to reject the Father’s kingdom (John 14:2).
Jesus Christ died for me, I'll follow Jesus, not Mary. What guarantee of salvation is there if people follow Mary?
Leave, Protty
@@Beluga_groyper even blessed Mary said to do as Jesus told.
@@Theunspokentruth77Therin lies the answer to your ignorant question. If you watched the video you would know. It's following the Blessed Mother's example of receptivity to the Lord's will and grace. I pray you would see it is not a zero sum game between Christ and His Saints. Let us follow Mary's example this Holy Week and receive our Lord Jesus, whose flesh is true food, and whose blood is true drink. Peace to you.
@@hunterstrauss6591 why not follow Jesus Christ instead? Is it because Jesus tells not to sin?
Amen ❤
Thank you for this video. It helps me live the holy week more meaningfully. I have an important question and have been trying to reach out to Ascension via telephone and email I found on a web page. I haven't received any answer except: " Okay, we we"ll give you a quote after reading your email." I am afraid to be scammed, so please lead me to the info that helps me connect with Ascension. Thank you so much.
Thank you Father
Amen 🙏
