Would you listen to a podcast version of Fr. Mark-Mary's weekly videos? Thumbs up 👍 for "yes", thumbs down 👎 for "no".
I prefer video... but to share is easy a podcast
He has a particular kind of wisdom that's rare. We live in a time where this can be very well preserved. It would be a shame not to take advantage.
Yes
I took away my coping mechanism for Lent and all these emotions are coming up that I can’t hide from. The only place I have to turn to is the Lord. It’s painful and beautiful at the same time. Thank you for this video!! It’s very helpful
😊😅😅
Courageous & Brave 💪🏻
I’m doing the same sister. Praying for you 🙏🏻
@@LoveeeeelyM I will pray for you too!!
@@PurpleSunshine23Thanks for your comment, it made me think about my own coping mechanisms. What an interesting concept.......thank you!
Thank you so much Fr
I love how you always ask us to go deep down to the source of the issue so that we can take care of it at the root, or at the very least understand where it is coming from. I also love your gentle approach. Thank you for the important messages you are sharing through these videos.
I'm old now(and hopefully have assets). . .So back to church for me.

Great again, Fr. Mark-Mary! This makes me imagine how the desert fathers may have sometimes prayed.
I had to save this so I can listen to it...again and again.

Little by little
I bring all this pain and woundedness to the Lord every day. For years. I don't see the Lord moving. Cross is constant.
The greatest heroes carry the largest crosses. Remember, your faith is more precious than gold, which perishes.
In 1959, when I was seven, I was almost killed in a bombing. I have had two severe disabilities ever since. Nothing I wanted in life was allowed to me. Yet God in Christ Jesus by The Holy Spirit has kept me in faith.
I'm not having a good day today. A lot of depression and anger. I look forward to taking my nighttime medication in a few minutes, and going to bed.
You're not the only crossbearer, dear one.
Christians should do more praying aloud, by themselves, at home or even in public ( under your breath, of course, so they don't call for an ambulance! ). Just talk out your unhappiness and disappointment and pain and fear and rage and sense of hopelessness to God. Be like the Psalmist of Psalm 88. Spit, belch, scream, snarl, howl it all out to God.
He understands. The Psalms were written by such men.
I saw a picture of Father Mark Mary with Jonathan Roumie and Mark Wahlburg.
I am struggling. Food is how I cope. And my job is hard. And I am asking if any of this is worth it. I am limiting food to the necessities.
It's what God in some sense has given you. Honor Him by accepting that your cross is exceptionally painful and acknowledging to God that you need His help because you cannot carry it by yourself.
I write this as someone who has had two severe disabilities since I survived a mass murder in 1959, when I was seven. Make the Psalms your prayerbook. Read them constantly. The Psalmists were rarely at ease. Their lives were marred by almost constant, if not constant ( Psalm 88 ) suffering.
By all means, cry out your needs to God. Christians need to be unafraid to pray aloud, to shout, scream, shriek at God, to implore Him, to beg Him. Jesus did.
I also have that coping mechanism. Especially with snacking
👍🏻
GOD be with us all always. ❤️
Please help me. Pray for me and my family, please? May GOD help us with our very urgent financial needs and also may HE help us clearing off our debts, thats been draining my little earnings from my little job. 💔 Please also pray that GOD restore the peace in our home and our minds. May HE also guide me into getting a stable job that pays at least a minimum. 🙏🙏🙏
I have, just now. Don't be afraid to talk aloud to God. Feel free to shout, to shriek, your anguish aloud to Him. This, of course, is provided that you do this in an attitude of deference to Him, which I am sure you do. Follow the pattern of the Psalms. The Psalms are prayers, as you know, and most of them are about griefsome situations.
Don't be afraid to unleash your anguish at God. He knows all about it, and it pleases Him when you acknowledge that your situation is too big for you to carry on your own.
@@bobtaylor170 Im just so so lost. Im feeling so helpless, hopeless and so so scared. Idk anymore 💔 thank you so much for praying. It means a lot to me. GOD bless you always. May you have a beautiful day 💗💗💗
@@PleaseViewMyChannel I've been there. I'm a childhood mass murder survivor. That was in 1959. I've had two severe disabilities ever since. I've been homeless. I've been cheated out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in disability and inheritance money. For a decade, I lived on about $12,000 a year.
Cry out to God, but please don't hesitate to cry out to your church for help. It's the duty of Christians to help other Christians who are in need.
Don't lose heart. Keep reading the Psalms and the Gospels. Jesus promised to never leave you or forsake you.
Seriously, contact your church about your economic crisis. I did when I was desperate. And they have responded marvelously. I have an income which most people would regard as appalling because it's under $20,000 a year, but I don't need much, and am doing fine on it.
Always, always, lay your burdens out before the Father.
You’re describing Step 4 of the Alcoholics Anonymous program of recovery.
MY TEAM WON THE SUPER BOWL🦾
The deeper WHY?
Why does prayer need to be so complicated? Is that the only way my prayers will be heard?
NO!!!! Why do you think it must be complicated? You're free to speak to God as if He were a Person, because, of course, He is! Just shout it out! "Oh Father!... in Jesus' name, Amen."
This is what the Psalms are, human beings talking their hearts out to God. That is what prayer is. Why would you want to complicate it?
Prayer is a heart to heart communion with Our Heavenly Father Mark. Whatever we do must be in faith, for faith pleases God (Book of Hebrews)
If we have doubt, Saint James (James 1:5-8) tells us to pray for wisdom. God is lavish, He will grant it to us.
However this particular video is about Lenten Season.
Catholics will understand why Jesus was led into the desert by the Spirit of God. I don’t know what the understanding of Protestants is on that.
Or the 40 days & nights Moses spent with God in the mountain in prayer & fasting.
Or the 40 days of fasting by Prophet Elijah while on Mount Horeb.
After Baptism…. The priests says we are priests, kings and prophets. we walk in the footsteps of our brothers and sisters who’ve finished the race..
And the way is narrow and difficult, Jesus says.
And the way to destruction wide and easy, and many prefer that road.
@@bobtaylor170 I don’t want to complicate it. I just want to know that, if I spend any time praying, my prayers are actually heard.
@@annem2922 well as soon as I have any faith, maybe then I’ll spend time in prayer.
@@markantonelli53 you must take it by faith that they are. We walk by faith, not by sight.
Please tell me you're only the public relations person in this :)
did you ever run into any Sasquatches out there? serious question, I've been listening to too many stories on RUclips.
