Except to a certain extent these are RUclips tv shows, and there’s no way Viv DOESNT know that most of her audience consists of edgy 13 year olds.
I understand it was never intended to be for 13 year olds, but god knows she was also a teenager with unlimited access to the internet. She should know that she’s going to get kids watching her show.
I’m obviously not saying she should’ve changed the entire mood of the show, but maybe handling certain topics irresponsibly (for example: trying to portray SA in a show that makes jokes about SA, and the obvious fetishization of gay men) isn’t the best option (in general, but especially when you KNOW stupid preteens are watching your show)
It’s one of the things I actually really like about The Amazing Digital Circus. The creators clearly knew from the beginning that stupid kids were going to watch their show because it’s the 2020s, and it’s inevitable. So instead of just putting on a quick disclaimer that it’s not for kids (knowing full well that they won’t listen because what teen on the internet DID listen?) they slightly tweaked the world building to prevent inappropriate consequences. And these tweaks don’t damage the story in any way, so it can definitely be done.
I’m not saying Viv has to cut out all the swears like TADC does, if parents don’t want their kids swearing then they should watch their kids.
But since it’s basically impossible NOT to know her audience is mostly stupid 13 year olds…maybe fetishizing gay men (and joking about SA sometimes) isn’t the best decision?
Because it teaches kids that this is okay.
There’s a certain level of responsibility that comes with putting your work on a very public domain that Viv just…didn’t take into account.
And I’m not saying she’s a bad person for it, but maybe a tad irresponsible.
RUclips isn’t like a company where you can specifically market it towards a specific audience. If she didn’t know that before, she definitely should now.
Also I’m pretty sure she’s in her 30s so there’s less of an excuse for her to handle these topics so irresponsibly than there would’ve been-like-a decade ago.

So every creator should just take into account that what they make will eventually get in the hands of people who aren't supposed to be watching it? Shows like Bojack Horseman, Invincible, and South Park should all change despite the fact they make it clear they're for an older audience and not for kids?
You're basically blaming Viv for making a show and not saying, "hey I should change my vision of the series I want to make cause eventually someone is not going to be a parent and let their kids watch it." It's the same reason parents were mad at Deadpool for being R rated, because they're not smart enough to actually look at the rating before letting their kids watch it.
The rating whether you like it or not, is responsible. It's saying, "if you're not this age, then it's not for you and you shouldn't be watching it." Again, blaming her is stupid, because then you should be blaming anyone who's ever made anything for a mature audience in the past.
