@@yana_v_v thanks. I'm happy to hear that. I will say there's so many things Limus says that didn't make sense, including their thoughts on Poison.

I'm convinced Limus didn't watch the whole thing. I think they assumed the worst about it and thought there was nothing else worth seeing about it. Limus also never explains why Pumped Up Kicks is allowed to exist, but Poison shouldn't. Would really love it if they answered that. I won't hold my breath, though.

So every creator should just take into account that what they make will eventually get in the hands of people who aren't supposed to be watching it? Shows like Bojack Horseman, Invincible, and South Park should all change despite the fact they make it clear they're for an older audience and not for kids? You're basically blaming Viv for making a show and not saying, "hey I should change my vision of the series I want to make cause eventually someone is not going to be a parent and let their kids watch it." It's the same reason parents were mad at Deadpool for being R rated, because they're not smart enough to actually look at the rating before letting their kids watch it. The rating whether you like it or not, is responsible. It's saying, "if you're not this age, then it's not for you and you shouldn't be watching it." Again, blaming her is stupid, because then you should be blaming anyone who's ever made anything for a mature audience in the past.

I miss the days when characters with flaws were actually welcomed. Everyone seems to think making any character "perfect" is the best way to represent anyone. I don't care who you are, but no one is perfect. Again, it's hard to believe people don't realize that.

@@TheUnmitigatedDawn thank you lol I was worried some of the lines I said would be taken as insults, but they really were just critiques. Like saying they should take a deeper look at things instead of assuming a song like poison is meant to glamorize abuse. I will admit though sometimes I can be a little hard with my critiques too.

@@MarcoStrange Trust me, your critiques don't come off that harsh. Again, the way many Hazbin stans went on to mock and bully Limus despite being a victim of SA herself was disgusting.

@TheUnmitigatedDawn that was another reason I brought up them being a victim. I did have a concern people would bring this up, so I made a comment to say "my critiques in no way are meant to say they're not really a victim" Thats also why I did my own research like about Angel Dust being hypersexual. While I heard that it was a thing that can happen to victims, I wanted to make sure it was sourced instead of saying "I heard other people say this instead" I'll also admit Limus did make me mad with their video. I do think it's bad to say Loser Baby doesn't work because Angel and Dusk are so different. However, I knew insulting Limus wouldn't get my point across on why I disliked it.

Honestly in my initial script I was more mean and a couple of good people told me "hey you need to focus more on praising Angel cause thay should be the focus" and they were right. I don't know if Limus did research, but it does come off like they didn't. I admit I walked in not knowing certain things, which was why I did try my best to at least learn more before commenting kn anything. I still believe the worst thing was him trying to say Angel and Husk can't relate to each other. That just sends the message you should be more closed off to people unless they're going through the exact same thing, which would only hurt victims cause they wont open up to others. I really wish Limus would have thought of that before saying it. I am happy to hear my video had that impact on you, and hope you stay around to see more of my videos in the future. The complaint I hate the most is the "glamourizing abuse" one like Limus is doing. Like I said, I don't know how anyone can watch Angel Dust being abused and think the show is glamourizing it.

There's someone who only watched the anime reading this saying, "MOKA'S MOM APPEARS IN THE MANGA!?" lol

What exactly makes the manga worse? You said it fails but how does it fail?

It's always possible. I just worry cause in the case of something like jojo, people were talking about it for so long before the current anime came out for it. I haven't seen the same for Rosario Vampire

I'm not against the idea, but I still see it as an issue if you're trying to attract new viewers. It doesn't make sense to invest in that if it's going to be harder to attract new fans to the series. Especially when you remember all the problems the original series is filled with. On top of that, it's not like RWBY hasn't been rebooted before. Both the manga and Ice Queendom were reboots, in a way, considering the number of changes they made.

But I'd argue it's more acceptable to start over because you're asking too much of a new studio to come in and continue what's already a mess

@@andresmarrero8666 all true. Saying I want a reboot isn't saying I think all of it was crap. There's a lot of things they did right, or had good ideas. I think a reboot is a chance to show the right way to do everything in the series

@@redstories853 I agree the formula can stay. When I look at rwby my issues are with the execution not the premise. That's why I like ice queendom more cause they did a better job with their series.

You need to do it cause you think it makes sense. @@MarcoStrange Yep. Also, good rule of thumb that RWBY seems to never remember to follow: STOP MAKING YOUR FANS DO HOMEWORK IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR WORLD WORKS!! I should not have to watch an entire side series, read multiple comic books and listen to every single RT podcast in order to understand how SEMBLANCES AND AURA WORK!!! Example: General Ironwood loses his mind in Volume 7/8 and becomes a dictator. Why? Well the meta reason is because "We wanted him to be a genocidal general". Again, so much for making story based decisions based on THE GODDAMN STORY! Also, the in canon explanation is that Ironwood's semblance forces him to hyperfixate on completing a task at any cost. Is this shown or even STATED in the show? Nope. It's revealed ON A FREAKING PODCAST!!! So not only is Ironwood basically going insane for what appears to be no reason, NOT ONLY is he going insane due to a semblance that is so similar to real world personality disorders like ASD and ADHD that it becomes offensive AT BEST and malicious AT WORST, no no no. THEY DO ALL OF THAT AND DON'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO TELL US THAT IN THE SHOW!! Forget "Show don't Tell", they forgot to even TELL us!!!

@@MarcoStrange Yep. It’s RT’s main flaw with their writing. They are REACTIVE. Not PROACTIVE. And you can’t write a reactive story. As GRR Martin said: “If you design a story about a murder, and you set it up that The Butler did it, and you see that some bozo on the internet figured it out and you change it so that the chambermaid did it, you’ve screwed up the entire story.”

@kylewilson2819 that's another thing too. Take one piece for example. Most popular manga in the world, and luffy x nami is probably one of if not the most popular ship. He doesn't put them together now cause the series isn't about shipping. It's about finding the one piece. The minute he starts doing crap like that, he changes what the series was. I'm fine with shipping, but it does feel like rwby relies too much on it for their characters. Like Roman and neo. Did that really need to be a Canon couple, or could they said "hey let's do something different like have them as a father and daughter relationship?" By the way, I like how frwby deals with the relationship between Roman and neo.

I honestly thought I did cover the positivity thing in my section where I talked about those tweets. Those were all people arguing against my criticism on Yang, and trying to reach for anything to make RWBY look good. Viewing the first 3 volumes as a season, only ruby did anything of note/you don't need an arc. My point was this way of thinking doesn't help cause you're only driving people away. It's basically sending the message that if you have a negative opinion on something, you're wrong and we'll find any reason why. Then if you call us out, we ignore you. Likewise, I don't want everyone just telling me when i do positive things on this channel, or in my book. I welcome you to make any comments you want about either cause I know it helps me grow and I'm genuinely curious. I do think saying a show can be better isn't a bad thing. I can name multiple things RT dropped the ball on with RWBY that could have been better. That's also free for me to say because RWBY is this public thing that's open to criticism. Unfortunately, the series did get worse in a lot of ways, and I think it's fair to call it out when it happens. Just off the top of my head there's the faunus story, Adam being obsessed with Blake, and Jaune and Cardin's rivalry. All things RT dropped the ball on, and should have been done better. I'm not saying you can't disagree with my statement, but don't just view it as an attack like I'm trying to say the series is horrible. And, like I said, for all my complaints, RWBY is nowhere near the worst thing I've ever seen.

XD No No No that last paragraph is exactly what I mean I wasn't saying that criticism is bad for the RWBY fandom my point was that in my experience in both talking about the show and reading others conversations about it you can't have a conversation even a simple one with out one side bringing up Criticism no one in this fandom even back when season one dropped has had consistent conversations with people publicly and in some cases privately that didn't involve some one having a problem with the series and that's what hurt the fan base it wasn't that people were pointing out what was wrong it was that they couldn't talk about it with out doing that I've been in fan project discord channels all over redit hell I've even brought it up with random people around town while doing errands and I've been doing this since the show came out and I haven't had one conversation where someone who has actually watched the show and didn't criticize something about it yet the people who hadn't watched the show and were interested seemed excited to see more and often gave more theoretical conversation about powers and other such fun topics and yet all who had seen it almost all of there criticized the show or a very small part of it in a very dismissive or derogatory way some times while praising the rest of the show and believe it or not talks with long time fans were worse any conversation with them almost with out fail devolved into an essay on how the show could be better. I think most fans who love the show are jaded and threatened by the constant exposure to this and that the effect of this has only worsened over time. It feels like you can't be a Rwby fan with out having to defend either the show or your reason for liking it and it's felt that way from the start.

I mean I hate to compare, but evangelion is an example of a very divisive series where people literally wrote "die anno die" on the wall of gainax. That's out of line and even when I hated eva I never would condone that. However, it's one of the most debated animes ever and part of that is because I did hear fans talk about why it was good and said "hey maybe I'm wrong and should watch it again" I did, and now it's one of my favorites. I wouldn't have given it another chance though if the eva Fandom acted like the rwby Fandom though. Anno had every right to say, the hell with the fans. Instead, he said "hey whatever you take away from my series, thats fine." I just dont buy that the Fandom is this way because they "always heard the series being critiqued." well were just gonna have to agree to disagree then I'm sorry you have such a bad impression of the fandom that some one speaking from experiences they had from the start of this series and of experiences others they've had first hand contact with holds no weight for you. but if your gonna keep putting all the blame on the fandom as a whole and not accept that bad actors and persistent and ever present over criticism had a significant affect on how the fandom grew and continues to respond then there is nothing more to be said between us. just try to open your mind and look into it hell look back at your own experiences with the show did you ever even have one conversation where you didn't critic put down or wish something from or in Rwby was or could have been better if you did your one of the rare few cause I haven't and I know most others haven't either I've talked with many people who have experienced the same thing I've been saying the whole time and if you want to disregard that then I can't stop you and I won't try to change your mind but I stand by my claim that the fandom grew into the way it is because no one could in the past or to this day say a damn thing about Rwby with out complaining critiquing or insulting it. honestly I think your a bit deluded on how many fans had good experiences talking about the series and more than a little deluded about the point of talking about a series if you think no one can have a conversation or discussion about a series with out critiquing it.

I got told I was stupid, not a real fan, and I didn't deserve to talk about rwby. keep in mind, I still stayed after that. Exactly. RWBY has always had great potential, and I think in the right hands it can be a success. Another problem with continuing instead of rebooting the series is you're continuing someone else's work. Wouldn't you prefer hitting reboot, instead of continuing what someone else made? Especially when that person/group made something with so many issues?

@@MarcoStrange Good question, it has to be a healthing balance of honoring the work of the source material while at the same time taking a few creative liberities to make the story more flueint and apealling. Like what Peter Jackson did with the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

@@robertaslanian2564 and here's the thing to all that. I don't mind what they tried to do originally. It's the execution that was the issue. Cardin could have become a regular background character that eventually became a friend or stayed an enemy. Instead, he was rushed and felt like they just wanted to wash their hands of him. I do agree they should make their own changes, but it's not like there aren't any good ideas already. I will say I probably would like them to stay at the school longer than the original. That would be one of the changes I'd make.

@@MarcoStrange Personally I think RWBY has been heading slowly down hill since the end of volume 3, and at this point it's already at rock bottom. So if they do Reboot it then keeping it focused in Beacon would be a good start.

It's definitely not a position I'd want to be in. To me, they're both going to have their negatives, but a reboot has the chance to make a new Fandom and also tell them behavior like that isn't acceptable

@@MarcoStrange Also VIZ has access to RWBY's data on their merchandise sales, paid viewership, and brand deals. I suspect they saw the IP as damaged goods and will reboot it.

Also true. I mean I know people still hate me for this comparison but hazbin hotel/helluva boss has some amazing merch you can get. Even when I was a die hard rwby fan I wasn't crazy about what they had to offer merch wise
