Thank you!
I love your food channel...
maangchi isn't just a chef she's an artist. truly a culinary expressionist.
Maangchi doesn’t waste she knows how to use every inch of the fish
Don't get me wrong, I love the dishes and I love everything about these videos, but what REALLY makes me come back is watching Maangchi butcher and clean protein. I don't know why, but it is really relaxing and enjoyable.
Hello everybody!

Hi maangchi

I'm a cooker too and I'm so interested in Korean cooking and Korean culture
She needs a televised cooking show. So much education, humor, and deliciousness in ALL her videos. Who wouldn't want to tune in? ❤❤

Dutch caption was submitted by timkoen (RUclips)! Thank you so much!
I really love the way she even tells in her Videos, how to serve and eat this! Although I may not even cook this, I'm still impressed.
I posted Korean caption! Now this video has captions in 6 different languages including English and Korean! Enjoy the recipe! ruclips.net/user/timedtext_video?v=Efhf-NYYpwU
It's raining here in SoCal, but not inside the house with Maangchi and her pollack fish friends. Those guys looked delicious! I am on heavy meds for a bacterial infection after some surgery, and for some reason I am craving fish all the time. A lot of fish guys are ending up in my stomach, and I feel better. Thanks guys! (And thanks, Maangchi!) ;-)
I love this recipe so much!!!!!amazing, savory and salty and umami. I didn’t have white radish so I use potato instead. It turns out still good.
Even in the Caribbean we cook fish with the bones... In Trinidad a lot of people appreciate the head of the fish also in curried and stewed dishes! Love you and your videos Maangchi
Portuguese caption was submitted by one of my viewers! Thanks a lot! ruclips.net/user/timedtext_video?v=Efhf-NYYpwU
Spanish (Latin America) caption was submitted by AngelaPaulina Lo (RUclips channel)! Thank you so much! ruclips.net/user/timedtext_video?v=Efhf-NYYpwU
You always share the best stuff. The bit about removing the bones, so many over look such things. It looked great and as always looked like you enjoyed it. Thanks as always
We got a free anatomy lesson today :P
Maangchi, you're my favorite. You make things easy because you talk us through everything and explain it so we know WHY we're doing what we're doing. You're the best!
Not only in Asia do they not remove the bones, in the Caribbean we also do not remove the bones. My friends when they come over to eat with my Jamaican family they were so shocked to see us eat the fish with the bones, and also when we eat the head. They said we were going through the fish and removing the bones like machines, we did it all our life it is like second nature now hehe. Happy New Year Maangchi! I love your videos and I hope you have a great 2018.
I was going to write the same thing! I remember eating whole fried fish (including the head) every Easter with onions, peppers and hard-dough bread. Only the children would get the fish with the bones removed!
Oh my gosh!!! Yaaas gurl!!! Southern Caribbean here. everything is cooked with bones. All the flavour is in there. And you do get used to sectioning meat and bones at lightning speed while eating.
In Venezuela we also don't remove the bones! it's quite of a tradition to eat freshly caught fried fish at the beach
i was gonna say the same thing. that is "island cooking" right there. the only problem is if you don't have enough fish heads to go around the table.
I’m half Korean, and Maangchi reminds me of my mom and grandma when cutting the tip of the fish’s head off, savage lol
My mom always makes me whatever food I want for my birthday, and I always ask for a Korean dish. My American dad really enjoys it.
Korean moms are the best! My mom makes me anything I want when I visit. My grandma doesn’t speak English, but anytime I see her, she hustles me into the kitchen, sits me down and puts a huge plate of food in front of me and tells me to eat. Korean grandmas are the best too.
Looks so delicious like all your other dishes! Will make this, but I am not throwing away any of the head parts except for the bitter black thin strip! I grew up eating fish heads (in Bangladesh) almost every day and love eyeballs and gills (we clean the gills thoroughly).
German caption is up now! One of my viewers submitted the caption! Thank you so much!
My mom used to make this sometimes. I can imagine the smell and flavour, just watching the video! I will have to try your recipe and see if it tastes like hers.

Camera work during fin removal was par excellence...
that Knife is amazing.
This looks really delicious. Thank you Mangchi for the wonderful video. I love your cooking and definitely I'm going to try this recipe today 🥰
Good luck!
This dish is really really appetizing Maangchi :)
Thank you, Manchi. Love watching you cook. Thank you for explaining the details too.
Maangchi, that peeler that makes the beautiful pattern, we used that to shred the raw papaya for the popular Thai papaya salad dish. Easier and faster instead of chop with knife and shred. If you ever make the papaya dish in the future that peeler will be a great tool for prepping that dish :)
kang xiong
she made it before, but she didnt use the peeler. She hand chop them instead, not the Thai way, the korean way where she always show us how to thinly cut radish or carrot strip. hahaha😂😂
I've just found your videos and really enjoy them. I'm from southeastern part of US. We do not find it offensive if you lick your fingers after a meal. It's a sign it was really good food. When you cook fish next time, leave the tail on and try it. It cooks up nice and crispy. My favorite bite. God bless.
After showing my mum your channel we love your recipes and just sit watching your videos lol she's obsessed watching you :) lol.
Thank you, Loaf! : )
Aww! That's so funny to see how from a culture to an other their is so much similarities!! We cook fresh fish exactly like that in the caribbean as well and we call this Blaff ! It is so yummy I'll have to try the korean style with your seasoning though !!
I was sick during the holidays soi could'nt go out anywhere i had to stay home while my friends enjoyed themselves, so i just binge watch Maangchi's video, it saved me from boredom and i was enjoying myself just as much as my friends did while i wad stuck at home...thank you Maangchi

Happy New Year maangchi! happy to share another year with you. You are the sole reason i got into korean food 😍
Ebony W. Is that a fish pun?
Nether's Herps .. no?
Ebony W. A "sole" is a type of fish :)
Ebony W. It is accidental then because I thought you were making a pun on sole fish. :p
Our family has their own fishpond and since we were small my siblings and I love to eat the meats that's inside the fish cheek ^^
Many friends of mine actually didn't even know about that lil piece of meat and their reactions when I showed it to them were always kinda funny haha
In my family just me who likes to find out and eat the small meat inside the fish head. It's like a hidden treasure. It's so yummy...
Maangchi you look extra extra extra pretty in this video ! Thank you for teaching how to do the cleaning. I always wanted to know how to clean fish properly. This was a really helpful video

Happy New Year 🎊🎈🎆 Maangchi. Thank you for this video!!!💜🖤
I love watching you cook and talk. I'm from a military town in Texas with a lot of Korean immigrants. I wish there was more Korean culture in Ohio. I have been craving yakimandu and bibimbap
Richard Patterson can you get korean ingredients there?
Kaypee12065 not easily. I would probably have to order the ingredients online or go to Cleveland for a specialty shop. It's manageable but back in Texas was basically next door
It's one of the things I love about living in Dayton, OH. We have 2 good Korean shops here.
Garlic unskippable, lol, always!
I Know I like this ! Looks Delicious ! Thanks for the Video !
