Nice video. Ecuador has many towns similar to Vilcabamba, check Bucay which is located in the Guayas Province. Bucay is a valley surrounded with al type of rivers and mountains with a subtropical weather all year around.

Muy buen video.Gracias por compartir.Se hablar en ingles,soy ecuatoriano,pero quiero comentar en castellano.He estado en vilcabamba hace algun tiempo,pero con mucha tristeza he visto que aquel bello lugar se esta convirtiendo en un lugar solo para extranjeros,ya que los precios en todo se han elevado muchisimo por culpa de la introduccion de gente con dinero,,y ja gente local esta siendo "desplasada".es una pena que esto este sucediendo.
Tienes razón, los Norteamericanos o extranjeros están desplazado nuestro Ecuatorianos. Quizás la política Ecuatoriana cambien las leyes de visas y leyes de negocios que favorezcan Ecuatorianos.

One thing that really makes me laugh about watching videos about Vilcabamba is that most of expats go there to be healthy and have a healthy life style, and they think by doing Yoga and drinking fruit juices, “meditating” they are working towards that Magic living!! When if fact they just need TO LIVE AND ADAPT TO THE LIFE OF THE LOCALS!!! Local
People in Vilcabamba DON’T DO any of that Yoga, meditation etc because they don’t need any of that as they are naturally chill in contact , and harmony with nature. All this people moving to be Vilcabamba for the wrong reasons changing or trying to change their life style. People don’t change, a monkey will still a monkey even when dressed up in silk.
