Love the layout of the shearwater. The sea ghost floor is too cluttered, the cup holder, dry box takes up too much room.

Very much appreciate the comparison review! However, can I recommend more intentional shots (less walking around) and adding a tripod for steadier camera operation in the future? After awhile the video got difficult to watch and triggered a headache :(

funny that its the same seat with a slightly different base to fit the Shearwater
I wish I would have spent the extra money on the Shearwater. My SeaGhost has lots of storage but not enough deck room to stand.

Shearwater 125 maiden voyage!!!
Hi friend! excellent kayaking the shearwater! I wanted to ask you for a comparison opinion between the seats. Here in Argentina in the open sea it is very difficult to enter due to the strong waves and it is essential that the seat of a kayak is very low to be able to assert and pass the ocean break. Which chair do you advise me lower? Be it Ghost or Shearwater 125? I saw a model of the Lightning kayak hd armchair and I find it a very good configuration to use low. I await your advice. Hello From Texas Argentina!, id say that the Seaghost has a lower seat position, I have never gone ocean paddling and I only have been in two nice kayaks in my life, I have more experience n fresh water and some cheaper kayaks, so to answer the lowest seat question id say sea Ghost, but stability would be shearwater. hope that helps you out, also sorry I've been out, a lot of shtuff happening in life atm.

I’m a little late on the video but hopefully you see this. Wondering your thoughts about the big center console on the sea ghost vs the open floor layout on the shearwater? Seems to me that console would get in the way and you lose so much leg/standing room on the sea ghost.

we are pretty happy with the color, however its really grey instead of black, I haven't seen the red in person so i'm not sure

You chose to watch this video! you're wasted time is on your own hands. the 125 is a beast, but it has shown some major flaws recently, and the Ghost is still running with zero issues. if you cannot respond with positive feed back, don't wast your time and mine. thank you.

Chinese made kayak that robs American / European / Australian design including those molded back handles.
The Kayaks are designed in the US, and built in China. Personally it doesn't bother me, as I see a fishing Kayak as a luxury item. And I do like that Vibe keeps innovating new ideas.
But I have also heard that the Chinese rotomolded Kayaks feel softer than their American counterparts. So there is definitely a lot of pros and cons.
We aren't here for politics, Just Fishing and a good time.
