The SeaGhost 130 in my opinion is a better fisherman’s kayak. It’s faster and more user friendly. Stability is a relative term. Most people have no clue what it means to have a stable kayak. The most stable kayak I have EVER owned was 25” wide. It gave me full control of the yak. So wider doesn’t always mean more stable. For me the best kayak PADDLES straight with out the use of a rudder. Rudders are for windy conditions or cross current. If it doesn’t paddle well without using a rudder. Don’t buy it. You need speed. Another relative term. For me speed means I can paddle it all day and not get fatigued. A good kayak must have rod storage in hull a long with gear storage. The lower you sit the more stable a yak is. Standing in a kayak is over rated, unnecessary. I’ve been yak fishing 4 decades and may have stood up in yak 2-3 times. Not a selling point. You need to be able to wear a good life jacket comfortably and do any and all maneuvering in yak with life jacket on. ( Chinook ) Far to many bells and whistles on yaks these days. Don’t be a sheep. They don’t sell hulls, hull shape, first and second stage stability. They sell gimmicks. Accessories. Don’t be fooled your on the water to fight fish, not the kayak.

This is so lame !!!!! Just sit in the seat and turn shoulders. Lean over the side and let’s see how far you can lean before flipping. All that hoopiilah is worthless

I wish I would have spent the extra money on the Shearwater. My SeaGhost has lots of storage but not enough deck room to stand.

Very much appreciate the comparison review! However, can I recommend more intentional shots (less walking around) and adding a tripod for steadier camera operation in the future? After awhile the video got difficult to watch and triggered a headache :(

Love the layout of the shearwater. The sea ghost floor is too cluttered, the cup holder, dry box takes up too much room.

I’m a little late on the video but hopefully you see this. Wondering your thoughts about the big center console on the sea ghost vs the open floor layout on the shearwater? Seems to me that console would get in the way and you lose so much leg/standing room on the sea ghost.

Nice test, I believe you push it to the extremes!! It was funny when you mentioned the Sundolphin. That was my first kayak and I still owns it, but will never even attempt to stand on it 😂😂

How do you like it so far? I just got mine. Yesterday was my first time with it on the water (with paddle though) and it was ok! Can hardly wait to receive the pedal system.

Looks to me vibe should of made the side rails taller.That thang sits low to the water.I dont know bout taking to the ocean (waves) or big rivers with boats flying by. Getting wet winter fishing in that thing must suck.

Here in Argentina in the open sea it is very difficult to enter due to the strong waves and it is essential that the seat of a kayak is very low to be able to assert and pass the ocean break. Which chair do you advise me lower? Be it Ghost or Shearwater 125? I saw a model of the Lightning kayak hd armchair and I find it a very good configuration to use low. I await your advice. I can not believe you did not flip trying to get in the Sea Ghost. I have the 110 and I feel like I am going to flip all the time. I do not think I could use a cooler in the back of I had one but I think I need to take it to a lake and spend a lot more time in it to figure out it's limitations
