- Many of you guys asked me to try out the McDonald's in South Korea and I was super excited as well. With burgers such as the Shanghai burger, I was expecting great things. After eating at McDonald's I also stopped at Burger King in Seoul and tried out some of the interesting items there.
So here is my review and comparison of Korean McDonald's and Burger King in South Korea.

Imagine working and thinking, who the hell ordered seven burgers? And then just thinking that it's a group of people this guy is ordering for, only then to watch him eat all of the by himself. You wonder who he is, how he eats so much, when you overhear him say to the camera, 'Time to go to Burger King!'
you can see that he didn't eat all of them since they're placed in the background half eaten....so he ate 4 1/2 burgers .... or he ate them afterwards and then it's insane

I can’t tell you how much I relate like every time I go “oh sorry the ice cream machine is broken” like wtf.
Why doesn't this comment have more likes 🙄😫😣😥
Lmfao!!! I just watched a video with a lady flipping out because she couldn't get a chocolate shake. The "machine was broken" 😂😂😂😂
Why are mcdonald's ice cream machines ALWAYS broken in the US?
Your story about why you love BK is quite similar to my story why I love pineapple pizza with pepsi. I remember that when my parents divorced, I was ten, we had to move to another town and my mom had cancer and no job, no insurance, and my dad didn't really pitch in to help. But every month court made him send us money so each first of the month we bought pizza, was our "abundance" day because the rest of the month was rather hellish in the food section. So I remember that there was a place named "pizza doble pizza" which sold two big pizzas for the price of one plus a big pepsi. The available flavors for the cupon were hawaiian (which is bacon, cheese and pineapple) and chicken+mushrooms... so that's what we got every month, once a month when we were abundant. Even to this day, when i'm feeling low on morale or "poor", I buy pizza+ pepsi and instantly feel abundant again. It's an awesome story, thank you for sharing.
This story is awesome and your mom sounds like a really cool person

Dude I remember that deal $5 for 5 whoppers. My mom bought a sack for me and I had 2 for lunch, 2 for dinner and another for breakfast. That was indeed a special day.

Ohmergerd😋
The Burger King next to my high school had 99 cent whoppers available for a “limited time” FOR YEARS. It was great. I’d go after school/tennis/cross country, grab two or three whoppers plus a small soda and sit there and do my homework and eat and drink soda for a couple of hours, occasionally swing by Thrifty’s to grab a 35 cent ice cream cone, and then walk home and eat dinner with my mom. Great time in my life. If I even look at that much food these days I collapse into a food coma after gaining 15 pounds.

I'm so MAD the Burger King menu in US is nothing like Korea. I'm mean if you bring some of the menu items from Korea to US I bet money it would sell too. I'm mean Big Mac, Whooper, and Sonic cheese burger all taste pretty similar. Come on Burger King management! Get them burgers to USA!!!

I went to BK in Korea around 2001 and I really don't remember this type of burger. I'd have got it if it was there, just to say I did it. Maybe BK should bring us the international menu from a different country each month,
Me: *I'm hungry*

If American fast food restaurants would rotate their menus with those varieties they would see a 50% increase in sales minimum !!!
Seems a bit optimistic
That is a bad thing.
Fast food is awful.
No, most Americans aren't open-minded enough to accept that.
Fast food industries need to be erased from the world.
Most have toned down their menus big time because complicated items and large variety increased wait times. So now we have plain burgers with some bacon on it and a deep fried piece of dried out chicken.
Me: dad can we have mcdonal...
Strictly dumpling: sure but how about that noodle store around the corner as well?

This is kinda a foolish question but why does it seem like all fast food outside of America visually looks better and looks as if it’ll taste better?
Random Acc it isn’t a foolish question. Don’t quote me on this I do think one of the major factors is the food regulation.
Because Americans will eat anything. Obviously. The rest of the world has standards.

England is known for the worst food. Least creative and blandish dishes in the world. Horrid food
Michael John G Wait...so its not America? Wow as a Floridian I’m confused.😂
Tru 😹😹😹😹
We have no unique burgers in the UK. There is only the chicken Legend which is just a generic fried chicken sandwich. The Deli range is unique to the UK only because it failed to sell in America.
The only good thing we have is the banana milkshake and if you're in Scotland irn bru.
Burger king in the UK is worse because they aren't as common in cities, but they are common in airports and service stations where they cost extra £££ and don't allow any offers. The last burger king I went to at Manchester airport cost over £17 for their biggest burger with chips and a drink. I could get 5 guys for less which I would if there was one at that time.
Why isn’t BK and McD bring some of these international flavors to the US?
Too lazy.
TY. 😂
i hope in PH too
It would be cool if they did it quarterly for a limited time. It would generate fun buzz.
Same for Australia..
Don't alter it to suit local palette.. just redirect 50 container loads of food.. 25 USA 25 Australia..
Would be good to get these pork burgers and the burgers are better at hungry jacks

America is known for fast food tell me why other countries have better menus tho 🤔😅
Because there menus are made for the people in that nation and everyone has different cultures

they even have better toys
@@notangel8328 There is no identifiable culture as the nation isn't homogenous. That is a downside because the only unique characteristics of the US are money, business, and opportunity.

I feel like I’m being cheated by American McDonalds
The thing with US Mcdonalds is that they are limited to what they can do with their burgers. Foreign countries like shanghai and korea are able to create unique burgers unlike US
@The11year OldCoolKiddo nope. Had a shanghai mcdonalds before the covid outbreak last summer. Im not joking
@@lapplandkun9273 no. The thing with US mcdonalds is they can use extremely cheap and artificial ingredients (the government let them ) and also because Americans would rather have cheap food than pay a bit more for good food.
Mcdonalds is good most places outside the US. Same with Burger King.
In Europe the fast food places are real nice. Why? Because the government's enforce high food standard's, and the customers demand quality and don't mind paying more for it.
Don't kid yourself.
@@myaccount2914 Spot on here. If you went deeper, you could explore the oppressive practices the government/media inflicted on the population to make it where people want and are satisfied with the cheapest options.

I was stationed in Korea, I love that country. Watching these videos take me back
McDonald’s Korea has made its popular “1955 burger” a regular menu item for fans of the classic, retro vibe of the meaty burgers, the company said this week.
The burger was inspired by the one served at the first McDonald’s restaurant that opened in Illinois, U.S., in 1955. The premium burger is made with 113 grams of Australian/New Zealand beef, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, grilled onions and the smoky sauce.
Mike, I went to a BK in Gangnam and ordered the tong shrimp steak burger, truffle fries, and apple mango jellyade. You were right man. The burger was SO GOOD. The best fast food burger I've ever had by far. Thanks for the recommendation!!
foreign fast food does amazing things with their burgers. It's a shame america can't have it too, but its understandable that they're limited on what they can do

Korea understands me. They POUR condiments on because Koreans apparently don't like dry foods. I'm the SAME way. My father was the same way. My mom would call it slop because we'd douse our food in sauces, mayo, dressings. The McDs in Korea make burgers like I special order them, with 2x sauce on everything. Doesn't matter. If it's Big Mac, I need extra special sauce, extra tartar on my Filet. Burger King, Wendy's and Five Guys...I ask for extra mayo and ketchup on everything. I've told some staff to "soup" it. I live by the code that lettuce was created as a vehicle for all my favorite salad soups, number one of which is Blue Cheese. I go through two bottles of Blue Cheese a month. One per head of lettuce. Friends look at me like I'm nuts. Family has looked on disgusted. I don't apologize anymore. The only thing I don't sauce is a beautifully cut ribeye. That needs only be broiled in garlic butter and I'm set. Wait, if it's COOKED with the butter, is the butter still sauce?
Missnewbienoob I love that you truly appreciate a good piece of meat while still having a solid love for sauce.. I’m the exact same 😂
IKJXKLGVSDF AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH THIS IS SENDING MEEE EJSAFOLKADJFLKD
Me too. I love extra ketchup. Extra sauces for life.
I totally agree. But I have a coworker that does not put sauce on anything. She does not even use salad dressing on salads. Chicken nuggets...no sauce. Burgers...only cheese. Fries...no ketchup. Chips....no salsa or queso.
Don't over cook your food

I have a choice of three in my area: 10 minute walk from home for one, one inside the WalMart I normally go to, and the third about 5 minutes away from that one. Wouldn't trust the beef from the WalMart one (cooked beef shouldn't be a dull grey without a hint of brown inside...), though they do decent McChickens & Junior Chickens. The default for salt on the fries at the one closest to me seems to be all the salt in the world....

Brit expat living in Korea :) It's called the 1955 burger because it's meant to be how an American McDonald's burger was in 1955, how accurate it is I have no idea. McDonald's came to Korea in 1988 (in 1960 it was the poorest country in the world in GCP per capita, so no McDonald's!). If you want some really good Korean food after that travesty (which is designed for kids and drunk people, just like the USA), go get some jjimdak! Or 찜닭 in Hangul. It's my favourite meal by far in Korea after living here nearly 2 years, it's steamed chicken with vegetables and glass noodles and an amazing sauce, best for sharing but you could destroy a two person meal. Make sure to get it boneless and with cheese! That's what makes it. Hope you see this!
The answer to the 1955 burger is when the first big mac was created.
According to my grandma in 1955 cheese wasn't a default burger ingredient.
Do you watch Korean Englishman?

Not a fan of any of the bulgogi stuff here and I'm glad you didn't particularly endorse any of them compared to the other more interesting Burgers found in Korea. Easily my favourite part of the video was when you mentioned the 5 Whoppers for 5 bucks back in the day. Totally brought a happy smile. Thanks for sharing. I'll try to watch more.
#9 trending on RUclips in the USA 🇺🇸❤️
Sad that we gotta hit up Asia to find good American fast food

r/woooosh ?? Is this my first post
Right? American McDonald's just serves 2 things. The double quarter burger... and sadness lol. Quarter pounder is the only burger there worth eating. These Korean burgers though.. I want the surf and turf burger so bad xD
Customers in America are more traditional than you think. Those Asian burgers no one would buy, except a few dorks like me and you.
This video makes me miss Korea so much. I just looked up how much it would be to fly there. I love Korea!
you should try mom's touch burger when you go to seoul next time. the best burger chain in korea
