@@FitzgeraldStanburyWeissV im going to japan in about 1 week, should the language be a problem? I also think the japanese dont speak much english in the local area.
@@masonchau7506 Not so much of a problem in tourist areas. If you are visiting a local area, learning some basic Japanese phrases will make things smoother. Japanese people usually only understand simple English phrases.
@@Maja_booI went over during Christmas for 3 and a half weeks for the first time ever. Such a beautiful and respectful country. No doubt you'll both have such a blast 👍🏼 Hoping to go back early next year
Yay cheap eats, played this video immediately. I used to watch every episode but for some reason it felt like the last few episodes (I may have missed some here and there) on my suggestions from you have all been about eating at the most luxurious place possible. Kind of felt blase about those videos after awhile, so super happy to see this one up. Something about cheap eats and seeing the people who help put it together just feels enjoyable to view.
Me too! Why do I always watch your amazing eating videos when I’m so hungry? I love Japanese food the most! Where do you put the food you eat so much of? ❤❤❤😊
Crikey, I have mentally put on a few pounds just watching all that delicious food. I need to go for a run. Looking forwarding to exploring some of these finds soon. Many thanks.
So glad you included Fu-Unji. I go every trip. Enjoyable to watch the chef work. Tsujita in LA is the closest stateside, but it is not even close. Rokurinsha is similar, but I prefer Fu-Unji for the flavor and ambiance. One of my favorite food memories.
Really loved this vid. Have lived & visited Japan and many of the youtube videos are the same popular eats over & over, but you managed to find a really unique bunch of places to show us :)
Wow, Japanese food looks absolutely mouthwatering in this video! Every bite seems like a flavor explosion. Definitely craving some Japanese cuisine now! 🍱🍣🍜
I just watched your first trip to Japan video from 7 years ago...you didn't want to eat uncooked sushi back then but looks like you are liking it now haha!! love your videos
Mike I was so excited to be walking through my local grocery store in Southern indiana ever I saw the instant noodles from ichiran I was so happy and they were delicious 😋
I lived in Japan for years, and I’ve been back for vacation at-least 20 times over the past 6 years. While it is a great idea to go to non-tourist areas.. sometimes you will get turned away. This typically doesn’t happen at restaurants, but it’s happened to me many times trying to go to izakayas. There has been times I’ve gone in with just one of my American friends and been turned away, then came back 5 minutes later with a Japanese friend and they let us in.
Love you Mike! I’ve been watching you for as long as I can remember, I even remember one day when you replied to my comment so long ago, that child in me was so happy and proud. Thank you for all the amazing content
If there weren't the cost of the flight over to Japan from Hamburg, Hotel or Airb&b ,and so on...that looks delicious and affordable...🫣 Looks like I'm ending up with Instanz ramen 😢
Nice video!! We’ll be going soon, hope we’ll have time to try some of these tasty food!! Thanks for the video! It’s easy to watch the whole thing, good descriptions and funny !!
The choice of music in this video is brilliant. Took me to the 80s-90s.
This is actually really good list. Also in Japan, you really can't go wrong if you leave tourist area. Just be brave and go where the locals go.
You can literally go anywhere in Tokyo, the vast majority of the food is good and at least decent quality. Even the Italian food is good. Lol.

Hi all
How easy is it in Tokyo when you can’t have gluten ? Are there any GF options??
How much yen does one need in order to try all these places for one person?
How was your trip?

Next time, try the benishoga (red ginger) with the yakisoba, the acidity and saltiness is a great contrast.
I love Mike deliciously eating his food❤ Everything looks yummy everytime he show the food and that bite❤ You always made hungry😅😂
Japan has the most amazing broth! Anywhere you go it's as if there's a competition who makes the best broth :)
7 years ago, I watched your vids a lot bc I missed Japan so much while I was in hong kong

Did I miss something? I didn’t see any wagyu at the $7 wagyu buffet.
Wagyu has different cuts, the name Wagyu refers to cattle not specific cut of meat
Gyu is the word for beef, Wagyu is domestic beef.
