these $5 buffets are actually for taxi, bus, and truck drivers. Obviously, not only for them but the idea behind these buffet is for busy drivers to rest up and grab quick and cheap home style meal. For obvious reason, also very popular among university students with limited budget. These kind of buffet/restaurants are called "기사식당" and literal translation is "Driver Restaurant".
Is it preferred that non-drivers eat elsewhere?
From the Missouri here . I live vicariously through you. Please keep it up.
And he said Mizurah! like in the Mid West. ;-)
20 years in centerville iowa... spent lot of time in kirksville... few good restaurants there Nurachi was my fav
Save up and go urself!
When you see the locals do something, you know it's a pro move! Thanks Mikey, always enjoy the content, makes me hungry or watch while eating.
Thank you Mike for the years of joy in your content. You provide us with a happy space.
Mikey. It was nice to see you do a video from the past you. I used to love your videos. My kids even got you to wish me a happy birthday. I haven’t been watching your videos as much since you have gotten into the high life stuff. I could relate to you when you ate food like us commoners. I hope this is something that you will gravitate to. I really enjoyed your videos on Thailand eating common street food. Thanks for the memories.
Totally agree.
.... bruh
Sorry you can’t afford to go out to eat at a nice restaurant. I didn’t think that was the high life 😂
What? He can show BOTH. Stop being jealous
@@Koicee8I can afford to go to some better places occasionally. That’s not the issue. What got him here has been put in the past from my perspective.
I am saving this for when I travel to Seoul one day, your videos are the best. I watch them every morning 😂
How are people so thin in South Korea with all of this food!? Looks so delicious.
Thank you for showcasing places locals actually eat at instead of the bougie stuff influencers are constantly showing
You always have lots of good eats to share from all your travels. I love them all.....and you make your viewers very hungry.....food is everything good. Thanks for all the good eats.....
I enjoyed your video. Can't wait to travel to Korea to check out the street food market. Thanks, Mike.
This was posted at an absolute perfect time! I needed a good video to watch while I ate some food and these videos never fail to be absolutely fantastic!

Next time you go to S.K., I'd love to see you do a tasting tour of Daegu. The city itself is gorgeous, nestled in this huge bowl valley, and it has a giant research farm in the northern part of the city, so with the right timing you can get farm-to-table at its absolute freshest. And from what I've seen on RUclips, the monorail ride on the east side is nice, too.
So much yummy food!😍 When I visit Korea, I like to eat simple street foods the best. Casual dining seems more fun!
I love when you go to Korean Mikey it’s my fav ❤❤❤
This made me really hungry lol, great video Mike!
Yummy as always Mike!😋
Your taste buds must be in the same shape as mine, if it tastes good it's good and if it looks different then taste it and experience something new.
I also love trying new combinations of food, nothing wrong whether it's traditional food or a fusion of flavors.
Every time I watch your vids I get hungry, even if I'm not hungry 😀
I'd love to see you explore foods in Korea outside Seoul!
Love this video of cheap eats exploring the vibrant streets in Korea
Korea visit videos are my fav

As a Korean American born in Seoul number 8 is a legit place
Mike you are awesome, love it!
I'm actually visiting Seoul and Busan at the end of March. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the SK food.
don't take the last train! (Busan is pretty cool)
i would suggest you to explore area around hwayang dong and kondae next time. the places are actually one stop away from seongsu station.
Big fan from Nepal ❤
Love your compilation videos like this!
Nice video as always but holy crap, I get ads every 35 seconds. I'll wait til your next one. :)
hi! try skipping right to the end and then dragging it back to the beginning, works for me a lot :)
I am a korean. Koreans generally do not eat spicy beef dishes, except for yukgaejang (spicy beef soup). Also, Koreans do not often eat beef with kimchi. And the peppers used in beef bulgogi are non-spicy peppers like sweet bell pepper.
Awesome job Mikey drop a like .
Makes me want to go out and find food ASAP 😢
Best Korean food called "BaekBan" many side dishes with 1 main dish originated from King's dish & Nobles dish
E-Z on the 🧂🧂🧂😄Thanx 4 the vid💯👍
Mikey with what you put in the Chinese noodle soup, I bet you'd love chicken paprikash.
Should check out Saemaeul Korean bbq in Korea!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your intro on this one sounds like this is a pilot pitch for the Travel Channel
Hey Mikey
You should visit Montreal 🇨🇦 for the infamous poutine 😊
Mikey has been to Canada several times it’s in his videos if you look for it. Mikey has also ate poutine. He has done a video on it.
@@pinkangel9597Classic poutine ?
@@JohnHausser yeah I’m pretty sure
@@JohnHausser I want to try poutine someday it looks so delicious 🤤
Yummy food
perilla seed powder i imagine is the green stuff.
$2.50 for that platter?! I am moving to South Korea!
Every last bit of that looked amazing, and should I ever go to Seoul? I'll be hunting down as many of these places to eat at as possible!
I didnt know PizzaHut still does buffet. Have u tried Pizza Ranch? Its pretty good
I’m all about cheap good eats! Lol
Why isn't Korea as chubby as the U.S. with these portable waffle snacks?? 😆
there is samaeul restaurant in buena park, ca!
Am hungry 😂
when it comes to communication how do you work it out, I one day also wish to explore the streets of Korea and Tokyo but always believe that not knowing the language could be a mass setback, to having the full experience of the place. So if you have any tips or ways that could be helpful in my quest pls say so, If it is not to much trouble for you
Grilled fish is one of my favorite things to ea! Iwillnow order it who,e and eat the cheeks!
Hi Mikey :D Hope you are doing well!!!
Any protein recommendation👀👀
Spam makes me nervous because I've been in a low-salt diet for twenty years due to heart conditions. Regular spam is way too salty, but they do make several products that are reduced salt and perfect for low-salt consumption.
❤
First time I heard Mikey cuss eating the waffle
Pleass stay healthy and keep eating to your heart's content🫶
looks like cheesecake cubes in the waffles
do a pc bang next !!
Is there anything that makes #12 Tsukemen and #19 Chinese Noodle Soup specifically a Korean eat other than it obviously being in Korea?
Apparently both my motherr and aunt (second cousin's mom) are turning 50 so now I gotta save up a bunch of money because they wanna get a lot of family and go to South Korea? SO now I gotta pick up my 60 hour work weeks while doing college again lol, but now I know how to save the moneys
Good luck!
Are all of those places can be eaten by solo traveler like me specially those bbq places?
I can not watch this video because i love Korean food and i am extremely jealous.
I want to visit Korea so badly 😭
Mikey must’ve had a cold when he was wearing the red collared shirt, he sounded so congested
I wanna try that sweat so bad but, my dentist will be mad at me hahaha. I love asian food in my Chanel I record too many vids about it. The USA has so many cool restaurants😆🥰😍
What ever came of your restaurant endeavors? Haven’t seen anything about them for a long time.
Karne is successful in Houston, so either he bought in and sold out, got bought out, or got screwed, and since he never mentions it anymore..
@@markw1247pretty sure he just left the partnership since it wasn’t really “his”
Mike Chen sounded different when he was eating the Korean army stew 😂
we need to start buying a special ticket to chase after Mike for all the goodies. just by watching feels like I gained 20 lbs.
That sweet potato pizza looks like good hangover food and I think the Koreans must fry chicken better than anyone in the world!
Traditional Korean food is not spicy at all. Korea was actually late to the party when it came to enjoying spicy chilli peppers. Now a staple spice in Korean cooking, gochugaru is a chilli powder that consists entirely of dried chilli peppers that have been deseeded. But Portuguese traders didn’t bring chilli peppers to Korea until the 19th century. And the Korean chilli pepper actually isn’t as spicy as people think - the pepper used to make gochugaru has a relatively mild rating of under 2,500 Scoville units (in comparison, the Cayenne pepper starts at 30,000 Scoville units). Korean foods like ‘fire noodles’ have become popular due to the popularity of viral challenges. Although Korean chilli isn’t the hottest on the Scoville test, Korean cooking methods such as fermentation cause the spicy flavours to diffuse more quickly, so they can seem to taste even spicier!
if some of these were before covid19, many things have changed since then
🍱😊
It looks like you got Nutella Ice cream Cheese Cake. That's what I read on the sign in Korean.
🎉
"I love so much.... this dish" are u ok?
