Mexico’s culinary scene is so underrated. It is such an incredible city. I do however miss the 25 peso torta days. Inflation is real everywhere around the world!
@@TheLeafs2000, same. Isn't it funny how many people get all bent out of shape because he tried the 7-11s or other convenience stores in their countries? I can only assume that they've never seen any of his videos before, or they'd know that he tries convenience stores (and especially 7-11s) in EVERY country he goes to.
When you started having the churros and hot chocolate it totally brought me back to 7th grade Spanish class. The book we studied from was "Churros Y Chocolate" And I still have the book 44 years later.
Hi Mike, the chocolate you ordered at El moro was watery because it was mexican style which is made with water, they have a spanish style that is much thicker and made with Milk.
So true! I wish I didn’t wait until my last day in Mexico City to try that sandwich. I was totally regretting not getting it since day 1. It was SO good!!!!
I love watching all the different places and food that you found. They all look amazing. I wish that you could see the name and inform us as to where we can find these places.
Watching Mikey eating pan con frijoles y queso made hungry so I went to the local market here in Los Angeles to get some bolillos and because I already had some frijoles parados I just blend them on my Ninja and fried them.
Try tacos de guisado !!! You will love it ! Specially the chicharrón one (but the mexican City style) you won’t regret it ! Thank you for domingo this kind of video !!
Mexican terminology: Sandwich as Deli = Torta Cochinita = pulled pork in a sauce (full name is Cochinita Pibil/Pibil Piglet) Bread with refried beans and cheese = Molletes Pico de Gallo (Roster's Beak) = chopped tomatoes, jalapenos, onion, cilantro and juice of limes. @@OaibBiao and you prolly did have pulled pork 😄, thing is refried beans and cheese is very common but putting other things like chorizo/cream or in your case pulled pork, doesnt change the fact that its still a mollete, kind of like sandwiches, ppl put a lot of different things but its still a sandwich in the end .
How do you eat so much food 😬 but Mexican food is amazing love my cultures food I think its underrated wish people tried more of the traditional foods ❤
Mike, this is my first time watching one of your videos. I've seen you on a few other people's vids though. My first observation... eating that much in one day why are you not huge? LOL But I really enjoyed this. I imagined Mexico City would have been ridiculously expensive. And the food looked good! I would be passing on the scorpion though. Great channel. I'll be watching regularly.
Chilaquiles con huevo . Is the standard. But it's the fancy version . But the standard now. Back in the day eggs were available for everyone. Love your videos hermano.
That spicy powder from the Pozole is like Chile Piquin and there tiny little chilis similar to Bird's Eye Chile. They grow wild and are spicy as hell and delicious! And, Yes a little goes a lomg way.

Making me want to go to DF even more, now, man! I will find and hit up all these places and channel my inner Pac-Man the way your videos always make me want to do! Except when it comes to insects--that's a hard no on my end.
Just to clarify, the cochinita they use in La Esquina del chilaquil is not made from pork meat, its a chicken meat cochinita. Next time ask for a Bomba (the bomb) its the same torta but with chicken milanesa and cochinita, one of those and you're set for the whole day.
If you ever visit Augusta, Georgia, try the Taqueria El Patron at 3107 Washington Rd, they do an amazing Pozole and their El Pastor tacos are fantastic! It's a simple place with some really good food!
I took my Amiga (she lives in Mex City) to Mercado San Juan. We went upstairs to a Tapas place. It got monotonous after awhile. I like your cheese plate. Not a lot but enough to sample and move on. Coyoacan has a nice mercado and El Jarocho coffee shop. I hope to return Spring 2025.
I have been to Chilpa, but can't seem to remember if it was good or not Edit: I have been to quite a few of these places actually, not sure if you're still in CDMX but if you are you should try out La Vaka since you enjoy your buffets so much

the hike in price is because of gentrification
@@mrd7532 100% that is
I used to buy tortas for 8 pesos en la prepa😢
Tacos dorados were 1 peso each last time i went 18-19yrs ago
Love it when you’re in Mexico! Some of your best videos!!
I do enjoy the “fancy food” stuff. But street food or fast food are my personal favorite videos. ❤
Same here 👋
Yup, same! 😊
He barely goes to fancy fancy
Same, also the convenience store videos of 7 eleven and others are my fav

I’m stunned by this guys appetite
I just love your videos about street food no matter where you go
mike using the word "umami" is like me adding "dry" to every milanese torta i ever had.

Beautiful food❤every last bite. 😊👍❤️

These dishes look absolutely irresistible, with their generous fillings making them even more tempting! 🥟✨
An egg was the answer to any meal for my abuelo. “Mija, you got to have a fried eggs on it.” Chilaquiles, tamales, enchiladas and many other dishes.
I dont like eggs

Loved this Mikey such a great video ❤❤
MEXICOO!! Y SU COMIDAA 😍🥰
Those 2 huge street sandwiches look YUM 😋
So good seeing Mike back to street food😊

Nothing as satisfying as refried beans on fresh baked bread. Molletes are amazing.
As a Mexican, I miss Mikey calling tortillas, tuh-tee-uhs.
The market deli sandwiches looked great 👍
Im so happy to see your channel booming again
Every minute my mouth watered
Love being Mexican 🤤🤤
Loved seeing the market. Definitely would love to stay there all day!
Im full yet my mouth was still watering.
I loved the street food I had in Tepic, Nayarit. Tortas El güero and Lonchería El Pirata were my favorite spots.
Oh yeah watching your video is such therapeutic for me ❤🫶🏻
You did have pozole and the torta last time with Lalo
Street food in mexico is the life Blood!
I know it was just Mikey ensuring he didn't drop a morsel, but it looks like he's so excited about that baguette he's trembling.
The happy dance did me in 😂
I'd love to see you do more street food and night markets.
You are the best! Realy!!!😊
Loving your mexico city videos man, always wanted to see your thoughts on the street food there..

24:24 mmmmm pozole soooo good the housemade tostada shells you get and lime on the side perfection!
I love molletes with refried beans especially with gooey manchego cheese and a little spice from the red white and green pico de gallo!😋🇲🇽
I love street food.
let me guess, everything is diabolically delicious and the best thing you ever had
Fire video 🔥

hey Mike... love your videos.... you need to come to Romania and try the food... you won't regret it
You missed the chance to get a crema order and pair it with the pozole or spreded in the tostadas, BOMB.
What is the name of the first place you visited, street stall with the breakfast sandwich?
Chiltepín in the pozole 👌👌... it's just missing some avocado slices or cubes.
Top content as always ❤from the UK
The DF rules❤😅
spent a month there recently and man the food rocks in CDMX.. !

Awesome job Mikey drop a like for you

Does it say tripas or tripe? Because tripas are intestines. To me it looks like tripas, which is my favorite taco.. enjoy your stay in Mexico
😂😂😂 "tripes" es estómago y "guts" es entrañas, visceras o tripas. El comió entrañas. 😬
you need to come to wales for the castles and food
Restaurante Las Yacatas is a real good place to eat at aside from all the taco stands and everything else on the street. Its in tzintzuntza Michoacán
What up Mikey from Oregon...
I have been to Chilpa, but can't seem to remember if it was good or not
