Impressive. The facts that the cooks have to take the customers just randomly walking by or through their stations, you need to be a very confident chef. Respect to all the staff.
You'd need the patience of a saint for that job. It would be like having 100 aimless toddlers putting their hands all over everything while trying to work.
This is truly the best dining experience ever. Go here every year for birthdays. Chef Kelly is outstanding and delivers a comedic tier to the experience. This is my happy place.
We've eaten there 3 times, it's just excellent. Is it a "buffet" definitely no, it's fine dinning and the menu changes every month. It's a 10 course meal, with lots of appetizers in between, you don't really know what you are getting, it's up to the Chefs, but every thing you put in your mouth is soooo delicious. Is it "all you can eat"? No, but you eat as much until they run out. One evening during "intermission" we ate so much oysters that they ran out, we also has sea bass and scallops on the main menu, I complimented the Chef on the sea bass and scallops, he made us 2 more plates, and then packed another order togo for us. At the end of the night, a staff member gave us a tour of the front and back kitchen, while in the back, she asked us whatever leftovers they have, they can packed it for us.
I personally cannot work in a kitchen like that it feels chaotic! But its so awesome that customers can get exposed to what happens behind the scenes and the hard work that goest thru the process. 185 per person is such a deal for all you can eat and those food looked amazing!!
This place looked like a true fun time. Great food, happy staff, happy chief, happy guests. That is what you want. The chief looked freaking happy. Which tells me, he's in the zone and ready to party. Love happy food staff.
I lived in Sacramento in the 90s and my friends and I went to The Kitchen long before they got their Michelin star. This place was always amazing, entertaining and a food fest. So happy for them and that they’re getting this recognition. 😊
Not understanding the negative comments… small portions? Nibble size? Big plates? You can literally nibble on a 1000 of them if you want. Plenty of food over 4 hours.
I see a lot of people do that to him all the time and I don't understand it either. To be honest I think they're jealous he seems so ordinary yet he has better vacations than they ever will in their lifetime
Maybe they’ve never experienced very high end meal ! The large number of courses are small so you can experience many many different food items and enjoy each one
This by far looked liked the most fun and interactive experience ever! Those chefs really worked their overtime when they are open. The price, experience and atmosphere seems completely worth it! Awesome video!
Hat's off to this crew for sure. I'm a chef, and the thought of random lay-people walking through or interacting with my kitchen makes my heart want to explode. "Wait. You want the guy who has no idea what sauteing is, to walk into a WORKING KITCHEN and allow them to poke around or even cook?? You're fired. Don't ever suggest that nonsense again." Also, I'm sorry, but the chef here looks like Robbie Rotten from Lazy Town 🤣
I watch Mike's videos, and live through his adventures. Because I will never be able to afford to travel to a different country every week like he does. Nor will I ever be able to afford to eat at 90% of the restaurants he goes to. I live through Mike, and that will have to do.
I remember going to The Kitchen. I had 5 helpings! The portions aren't too big but very good! Haven't been back in years! Now I may have to go back! Thanks Mike!! 😂

Did he just say around 185 before tax/gratuity!? That is actually so freaking reasonable considering how much food you are able to get! Wow, simply mind blowing!
I'd have to save up for a meal like that, but it does seem like you get your money's worth and then some! I think I've seen videos of restaurants that charge twice as much for way less than half the amount of food.
