@@hughmungus370 Remind me. How many deaths from covid....so far?
@@hughmungus370 Funny how you pick and chose whatever fits your narrative. I bet you think this virus is not severe. First of all not everyone gets the same vaccine since there are multiple different types out there. Second Even if everyone gets the same vaccine not everyone will/wants to get vaccinated so 8,000,000,000 is not accurate. Third this virus has a case fatality rate of 1%-5% so even if we go with what nutheads believe and say it's 99.9% survivable then 0.1% of 8,000,000,000 is 8,000,000 which is far higher then 200,000 that you allege could die from vaccine. Also covid19 has a ton of cases where people survive but still have damage to organs some of which could be permanent. So stop with your anti-vaxx bull you idiot
All the cops involved should be fired for handing the child to a complete stranger. They let her take the child out of their site into a private office. They knew nothing about this woman except that she was a Walmart employee. Sounds like child endangerment to me.
Seriously!!!!
Couldn’t agree more
Don't forget kidnapping
Great point.
That was my biggest concern. Another lawsuit right there.
Whoever was responsible for the doxxing should be fired.
Whichever cop threatened him with CPS taking his son should be fired.
They all should be thrown in prison! There were alot of crimes committed, but not by the citizen.
@Joseph Hentschel Black Ball them by keeping them locked up for the next 20 years.
They doxed him on purpose. They'll want us to believe that was a clerical error but we all know that's 100% pure BS. That was purely intentional. (I've dealt with a couple of those vindictive little assholes in San Angelo. I wouldn't put anything past them.)
It is called KIDNAPPING under colour of law.
Hes not going to get sacked, cops have practical immunity, because their mates wont investigate them and then wont prosecute them. They all have to play along to maintain their own immunity - they look after each other from the top to the bottom - they're a bit like a"Blue Klux Klan".
"Ah! now I've seen your ID I can tell you're not intoxicated!" said no cop ever
Idk… kinda their MO
The most interesting thing about this incident is how NOBODY mentioned the damage and trauma of the child who was removed from his father - and all that time the child was also held in custody by a stranger while he knew the police were doing something with his daddy.
This is the most disgusting part of this entire ordeal - the damage to the child.
“The damage to the child.”
After what they do to you: Be kind
What trauma? Kid didn’t even cry. Was it right? No. But the child suffered no trauma.
You can sometimes keep the trauma inside you, not necessary have a reaction you can check from outside. Thats basic psychology, other way we would judge mental state by the outside, no questions.
@@googlesucks9041
It’s ridiculous that a “senior” officer who “studied” the statutes after this incident still doesn’t know the damn law. This is insanity!
he's just plain dumb as they come, and the only gang that would hire such dead weight is police
#Fire Francis aka Blinky. No confidence.
Exactly at this point fire him and his buddies no room for dirty cops they are making difficult for good citizens.
He knows exactly what he's doing is unconstitutional and therefore illegal but he does not care. He believes that he is above the law and everyone must submit to his authority no matter what. Submit or he will use his badge to force someone to submit. He's a TYRANT!!!!!
All he really knows is the answer to give his bosses --- "I've reviewed the law and now I'm better informed." That answer has probably worked in the past. However, he is an idiot and incapable of actually educating himself.
Threatened to kidnap his child, then did. They lied, and violated his constitutional rights. They unlawfully arrested him (kidnapping), and physical assaulted him. Fire them all.
That's where people die
They should be in prison for their actions
Except the one that says “You don’t have that, you have to let him go”
He can stay. He seems to know what he’s doing.
@Lee Devries
They colllude with Walmart to kidnap the 3 yr old child .
Walmart need to specify in their employment contract , not to collude with LEO's,
They aren't a public welfare agency,
They R just a monstrous greedy corporate entity .
Lee Devries The threaten to call cps to pick up his child so yes they did threaten to kidnap his child. Cops do it all the time. They do it as a way to intimidate because they know that most people will give in to their unlawful demands rather than have CPS take custody of their child.
The walmart supervisor seemed like he knew that was bs. Trying to solicit a tresspass from him and he said "what did he do" and the story they told him was of an illegal arrest. The supervisor responded "uhh, yeah, no, we're fine". Basically like "oh awesome, you just arrested one of my paying customers for no reason in my store and in front of his child. Thanks for wrapping us up in your lawsuit."
Smh just comply and you won't have to worry or sue, it's simple we don't live in China liberals
I think if a cop is found guilty of illegal arrest, they should lose their arrest power.
You mean be arrested themselves
@@PlayingwithproxiesExactly. They should be prosecuted and sentenced like any other citizen if they were to do such a thing. With emphasis on the sentence portion due to the breach of public trust under color of law.
This cop will never understand what Citizens rights are, because this cop disagrees with citizens having any rights.
He do know it’s what there taught to violate our rights because they think we don’t know they been doing this for centuries

Seemed he was using femm-logic techniques to avoid being accountable.
Worse yet, the victim knew the law better than the fat cop.
@@MrThisIsMeToo i hate to kick a man when he's down but man... after all that, the cop still didn't get the law regarding someone has to present ID while being detained. it was actually painful to watch him during the interview
This man is clearly so incompetent that he should never be permitted to enforce the law again
The cop test must be really really simple for him to pass it.
He couldn't handle being a greeter at Walmart
Jordan vs New London
but thats how they like them...
Actually, he’s of average competence for a cop.
Almost universally practiced: “you’re going to listen to what I say because I’m more important than you and you’re going to be under arrest because you don’t question my authority”. It’s called hubris and egotistical narcissistic behavior.
The last description is changed slightly when badged tyrants are concerned. It should be "...pigotistical, narcissistic behavior."
You heard me 😢
Smart cops are good dumb cops are bad to bad if your smart your overqualified for the job and they don't let you in
Why do they always think that getting ID will help them figure out the crime? Unless the already know the identity of the perpetrator of an actual crime, getting ID will do absolutely nothing! What is the logic behind ID requests? The cop says he wants to verify who the guy is, but do their know the identity of the alleged perpetrator? What is the logic??!!
As soon as the guy asserted his constitutional rights, the cops completely forgot about the alleged drunk guy who was supposedly talking to people.
ID is the foundation of control.
They have it pounded into them in training to ID everybody! It is like crack to them! "Gotta have that ID"!
Somebody reported a drunk person. The police were right next to the man and must’ve realized he wasn’t drunk. That should’ve been end of contact. But the Gestapo have to ramp it up and escalate.
They couldn't stand the fact that he knew he didn't have to give them his name. It was a big blow to their fat egos and they took it personally, then abused their authority and arrested him.
Qualified immunity was made for tyrants like these stupid cops that never paid attention in police collage. What's the point of having a SAT score if you're not going to set a bar high enough so you can get intelligent police officers instead of numb skulls that you couldn't even trust to be garbage men. Enjoy all the lawsuits you get you deserve it.
@@BackwoodsFilms Most of these false arrests are due to police officer ego. They can’t stand it when someone challenges their unlawful orders or knows the ID laws. Instead of letting it go the bad police officer escalates to arrest. Then they throw false charges in hopes some will stick.
@@BackwoodsFilms They didn't believe it when he (correctly) told them he didn't have to give his name. Despite the Sergeant explaining it twice at the scene, and his own review of the law, this guy still didn't comprehend the limits of his authority.
He was also clearly 5'9" wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. All they did was see a guy with a young kid and attack.
So far police should be charged with kidnapping, child endangerment.
Thank you
Also lied about getting info on his vehicule , unlawfull arrest, escalated the conflict which could result in creating danger where there was none
Ive been in many countrys but never seen a police force so weird as in US
They should be charged and prosecuted under title 18 U.S.C. sections 241 and 242.
But primarily gross incompetence.

💯 percent please tell me he’s getting a giant claim
It should be mandatory for every single officer to know and understand all of our ammendments!! No if,and, or butts about it!
Thanks for showing the world the truth about America and what "freedom" looks like.
It’s clearly not free and definitely doesn’t magically enforce itself. Tyranny is afoot
It cost me my life just for them to tell me to “Be nice”
Not doing whatever they say the moment they say it could take away the few freedoms I have left here. And in America, there's not much freedom at all.

"Release him . . . but tell him . . . it is best when asked by a police officer who he is to give his name." - In other words, it is best to voluntarily give up our rights in order to not have our rights forcibly violated.
Unbelievable.....smh
OF COURSE THEY DONT BOTHER TO TELL THE TRUTH= WHEN ASKED BY A COP
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE ID OR YOUR NAME======== ONLY IF LAWFULLY ARRESTED========== ( A SMALL NUMBER OF STATES HAVE LAWS THAT REQUIRE ID IF DETAINED)))0 JACK WAS NOT DETAINED=======

I’ve lived in several countries and never I ever saw police behaving with such extreme brutality and cruelty as American police. They have a power trip síndrome that is beyond comprehension
I have lived in other countries outside the US as well. And I haven't either

I have lived in several countries ever since I was 18 and I was fortunate because I got to see the difference and let me tell you the police and other countries don't act like they do here and we are not free we are brainwashed we are free
@104Colton104 Your comparing us to developing countries proves our point. Shouldn't we compare ourselves to similarly situated wealthy, "1st world" countries? We can't improve if we ignore our country's problems. If we just shrug our shoulders and halt healthy discussion with "Well, what about (insert hellscape)" or "if you don't like it, get out & move to___." I would like for us to improve, so we *can* be positively compared to other wealthy countries, instead of impoverished & war-torn ones.
@@Leonicles I’m happy to hear that someone from the US recognise they are way behind even though is much richer than the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and any other democratic country in Europe at least but, the US keeps claiming they are the best at everything and then we have these examples of bad authority all around your country (assuming you are in the US) but still, at least 45% of the voters are anti to go back in time if the Republicans win the election again. We also support our allies and that has nothing to do with wealth but instead with mindset. The respect for others is lost in translation; the education is only for the rich; the separation of religion and power is something the republicans refuse to recognise and accept; racism (I know we have the t everywhere not only in your country) but in America is just another level of and the list goes on and on…
Then they go around the world praying that all the above have to be addressed but nothing happens in America!! Is absolutely disgusting and infuriating.
I never been in America but I think I will never will for fear of what can happen.

Most cops get off on bullying. All they want is to get the bust. You see after they let him go the Corporal was showing disdain toward his Seargent, behind his back for over ruling him. It is frightening that law enforcement officers are ignorant of the law. This is a nationwide problem. This cop will do this again if they do not take him out of law enforcement. He is far too ignorant to learn from a slap on the wrist.
9:50 That is absolutely infuriating, there were three cops there during the arrest and not a single one of them even had a basic knowledge of their job. Why is the supervisor the only one that knows what ever single patrol officer should have know in order to graduate the police academy?
The rookie Knew the ID law,and the Sargent didn't he asked for it to be looked up..as he wasn't 100%.the rookie told him without looking it up...The rookie later in his interview stated he went along with the wrongful ID arrest as he thought the longer served cops knew something he didn't....He was then told in future he should take one of the cops to one side and say, well this is wrong and explain why...
They don't have time to learn the law at the academy, they are busy learning how to break your neck with a knee.
@Mike Jasper They know the perfectly. They want you to think they don't because majority of Americans don't and that's how cops can break it to pile up arrest. They are playing dumb but they know exactly what they're doing.
Law enforcement doesn't think they are intimidating when police officers encircle a private citizen. There is no requirement for a private citizen to give a tyrant identification without stated cause, even if the officer thinks it would be better. An ID doesn't identify a perp. Police officers need to understand that.
That's why he is a supervisor.
If these police don't know the law what the hell are they doing on the street
EXACTLY! It's SOOOO hard to fire a police officer, good or bad. And as a proponent of unions myself, I understand that...but only to a degree. So why not make it SOOOOOO hard to actually be a cop then? Or make it hard to be in the union and receive the protection of the union then. Guilds and trade associations make it very selective for a reason.
They are brainwashed real good
Sadly, in 2016 the Supreme Court ruled that cops don’t need to know the laws they enforce; their ignorance can be used against you.
@Mikes Camp soon be Biden supporters
it surprises me how many cops just dont know the law. why wouldnt they do some research pertaining to thier job? only job where you dont have to know what your doing.
Even when they know they are wrong they continue to lecture Jack.
"We never told him he was detained. We tried to make it as quick and painless as possible." Well how'd that work genius? The sarge looked at him like "Perfect, that's worse. You jumped from a consensual encounter to arresting him for a secondary offense."
It seemed like he knew he'd be wasting his breath saying that, and that corporal would understand it as much as if he just started speaking to him in French.

Hey, I need media attention here in Austin TX! I was unlawfully arrested twice AND Austin Police made me homeless by taking away my home where I lived for around 2 years. I have no criminal background and even have 15 years working for the state of NJ. I can't find a lawyer that will help me in any of my cases. I even lost feeling in a few fingers due to the last arrest where I wasn't even charged for anything.

@@owenjamesk they aren't done yet! Every 2-3 weeks the Austin PD or State Troopers come and perform unwarranted raids on the homeless! They take all of our stuff and everything we spent money on to try and rebuild what they destroyed gets thrown away and destroyed. What's the point of panhandling for money when we can't even spend it on shoes and cloths knowing it'll all be taken away in a few weeks?! They took 3 dog bowls, 4-5 bags of dog food and 3 gallons of water plus leashes and collars for other homeless dogs that I brought! What the dog do??!
Love this Sgt. Not only does he order him to be released immediately but he also ordered them to explain that it was a mistake in their understanding of the law.
But for him to also instruct his officers to tell Jack that "In the future if an officer asks you to identify, even though its not required they do so, that its always best to comply" is unacceptable. That should NEVER be said. The only thing that is "BEST" would be for these cops to respect their oath and our rights no matter what.
No, the sgt is a pos also. He recognized how bad these officers fucked up and his response was to ask them if they could at least find anything other than the original supposed offense to justify their wrongful actions.
The Sgt's instruction was to tell the victim it's *best* to ID anyway.

Its friggin kidnapping
It’s called false imprisonment
Bottom line if a cop falsely arrests someone, they should lose their job because all it shows is the cop isn't taking his job seriously and neglecting his duty to learn and know the law. Just like there's no excuse for citizens to be ignorant of the law same should go for police.

Even if it was a mistake, like scanning the un-redacted copy by mistake, why would we believe them now? Too much crap has been exposed about police bull crap tactics.
I firmly believe they did it accidentally by typing random numbers and letters, just all the stars aligned the wrong way and it turned out to be his exact info.
He should also sue the department for releasing his information.

That was blatant retaliation on the part of the dept. Pure and simple.
How can jack file a lawsuit, Jack has nothing do with the case he only posted the video on his channel? Jack's not even a attorney he's a former officer
i’m glad you’re suing those coppers, Jack. And thanks for schoolin’ the people that don’t know the law. I learn a lot from you guys. Hope you get paid Big!! 💵💰
12:53 Talking about unlawfully arresting the man: “It happens.”
That’s the entire problem with cops investigating cops!
If he can’t understand the ID law after being explained the law, he is a danger to the public, and should not be issued a badge and a gun.
He is absolutely a threat to the public. This isn't an officer of the law. Just because he has a badge, doesn't give him that title. His actions are complete bs. IA sounded like they knew it, yet still allow him his job. That's scary
Your 💯 correct
You said that right
He already was issued. They should be rescinded.
And how many peoples rights has he violated during his career with his total misunderstanding of the law.
My God this is Outrageous.
That Tyrant needs to be Criminally charged for Felony Ignorance !
Jack’s lawyer should sue Walmart, too. That woman had zero right to kidnap his child. Walmart owes him a quick $10k.
Why is it always the nazis at walmart
Unfortunately ignorance isn't a felony or half of our country (Democrats) would be behind bars
Felony ignorance : 😂🤣😆🤣😅🤩
@AndrewWithEase11 11 thats probably accurate
God bless the level headed sgt for calmly thinking through the consequences of his officers actions
The police gave the child to Walmart??? WTF is wrong with these clowns 🤡 ? The level of incompetence is astounding!!!
I'd rather have a Wal-Mart employee handle my child than anyone on the police department.
Just make sure you show a receipt 😂
They just let some stranger, whose not in law enforcement, walk off with his child. If it were me, I'd sue them so fast their heads would spin.
I noticed that also. Scary stuff.
Terrifying.
I am a victim of police brutality (was tased 7x) for “disturbing the peace” because I was in savasana on a Sunoco property (WITH manager permission) and I couldn’t afford a detainee fee for a lawyer so the case went to hell because i was uneducated at the time. Sadly it’s not easy for everybody to sue :/
This is exactly what stood out to me.
@@EarthFarm9 no money no rights
And then the officer lies to another officer about what his Senior Officer said and ordered him to do. He then proceeds to tell his victim it was the victims fault/misunderstanding of the law. What a piece of work
So the sergeant "educates" the other officers, he literally tells them "You can't just arrest him for failure to ID" but in the next breath says to encourage the victim to just give up his rights and just give his name because the cops are demanding you give it. This is why people have a distrust with police. All the sergeant did was cover try to cover all their asses, by saying "don't do that, but still you should do that."
They threatened to take his kids and put him in cps government care let that sink in folks
Rather common move far as i know and even more prevalent when it comes to fathers, since they know wife or worse the mother (as in divorced) will throw such hissy fit for not giving ID, that its already cruel punishment alone to deal with that shit, leading at worse case father loosing parental rights to his kid when ex brings this up in court.
Indeed..... Strip that mindset of ultimate authority off them immediately....... Last type of people that we need as cops.....
They didn't even do that. They gave the child to some stranger who works at Walmart
@@frankoramerez4536 haha...... Well, most likely the dad asked her or she volunteered to the dad after she's been listening to it all....
Yeah these cops clearly don't know much about the law and investigative procedures. They were dumb enough to take the word of Walmart employees when they should had went to check on the Cameras to properly get more information about the drunk driver first. If I was Jack; I would had sued Walmart corporation for hiring stupid employees landing him with a false arrest. Even if the Cops acted in "Good Faith;" there still must be reasonable suspicion to prove that you committed a crime or was about to.
Blood was reaching boiling point when they threatened to take his kid. The piece of shit threatened something so extreme like it was nothing.
Because it’s normal for them to do things like that. They do shit like that to scare people and usually it works. It’s sad how they act towards people!
They're sociopaths, sick predators that provide no benefit to society
They don’t care that it could ruin the child’s entire life. Their ego is the most important thing.
How DARE you refuse to obey me! How DARE you try to reason with me! Don't you know I'm a cop!
@@jaredburgess8381 yep that’s exactly the attitude they have. YOU MUST OBEY!!!!!
You rarely see a supervising officer act within the confines of the law as this supervisor did here. I commend this supervisor for doing exactly what he did in immediately correcting his subordinates and explaining the law to these Keystone cops.
Sgt Holt did the right thing, which is good as it could have gotten worse with a child involved. Usually jack would have been charged with something to cover up the illegal arrest. Then the prosecutor drags it through the court with many continuances, offers of plea deals, and causing further harm throughout… bullying, intimidation, paying lawyers and costs, and character smears.
Amazing what Sgt Holt stopped by simply doing the right thing. He probably got disciplined for not making it harder for Miller to bring a lawsuit.
"Senior officer" meaning he has been ignorant of this simple law his entire career. That's a scary thought. Also, denying the father's request to keep his child nearby was disgusting. Good luck with the lawsuit!
he said '' I settled for $125,000.''...
Glad he settled, probably cos the time it got to court the cop would of forgotten why he was there.
The Sgt. was doing so good until he said 'tell him it's always best to give your name'. Wrong, It's always best to protect your rights Sgt.
It can be for the invidual since most cops will hurt them if they don't. I don't think you should give your id, but at the same time look what can happen because of poorly trained cops.
People can say oh that is an easy lawsuit to win, but most people don't have the time and resources to persue a lawsuit.
Right?
They always have to have the last word
He wasn't really doing that good because when you realize that they had arrested him without cause he tried to make them say that he did something else so he could justify it
I wonder if the Pig would be okay if random citizens asked for his ID. Pig needs to roast
I'm a retired police chief and it baffles me how officers still don't comprehend the most basic laws of their job. The one law they should know backwards and forward is when they can identify or detainment of a citizen. Even just having it explained the overweight officer looks like a a person staring at the last letter on the eye chart. Frivolous stupidity costs the citizenry twice, either paying for the stupidity of the officer or the citizens paying with their freedom.
how are cops allowed onto the job with such little understanding of the law?!?!?!
So. My gripe is. HOW THE F DO YOU UPHOLD THE LAW AND NOT KNOW THE VERY SAME LAW YOURE PAID TO UPHOLD. (yes I’m screaming)
, ,it's in their moniker , LEO , LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER,
.
And they thought a few hours makes them knowledgeable about the law .
And their ego makes them above the law .
Human's make mistakes,
But not as repeat offenders .
That’s easy; they don’t have to. Even when they fukc up big time (like this case) they get some token punishment.
Maybe because Democrats pass new laws every fucking 5 minutes
Well we know he just slid right on through the police academy now 😂 🤷🏾♀️
I had no idea that sobriety could be checked on an ID. This cop is a genius.
Thats what I was thinking the whole time. You're there trying to find out if he's intoxicated but all you're concerned about is his name.
1. Jack’s not in the parking lot. 2. He doesn’t have curly hair. 3. He knows his rights 4. He’s not driving drunk 5. conclusion, lock him up.
They took his child and gave him to some random Walmart employee whose only qualification was being female. Then they try to incite retaliation by releasing the victim’s identity.
Nothing can excuse their giving his child to some unknown Walmart employee.
I love that after he was told to release him and reviews it with his higher-ups, he still gets it totally wrong talking to internal affairs.
They lie so much. They didn't know his car, or the age of his child, yet they claim to have information about both.
the best part is they tried to arrest him for being "drunk", then allow him to get in a car and drive off.
"You're going to have to arrest him for something else then" is probably the biggest issue in this video. If you realize you made a mistake, release them. Don't fucking double down.
It's because police are trained in Ego and tyranny, which doesn't allow the acceptance of responsibility or admitting your wrong. . They are not trained in the law or Rights.
detaining isn't arrest or is?..... otherwise they would be afraid to arrest real offenders, who look like normal people....But the ID probably can not be shown before detaining, because of possible police corruption.
I like the fact that the police want to be careful and prevent crime.
Think about the fact that cops want to prevent crime or car crashes....but during the prevention, they may hurt somebody´s feelings....but he doesn't want to hurt someone o purpose, he just wants to prevent the crime.

It absolutely baffles me that these police officers, who are acting under the guise of protecting the child, leave the child with a random, unidentified (cops are all about getting that ID), Walmart employee. Shows that they really couldn’t care less about the child, it’s about stealing a citizen’s freedom, no matter what!!!
It's about power. Their little egos couldn't take being told no.
Disgusting animals
They care more about their own ego than protecting anyone, even children. This is a nation wide problem with the police force.

That's what I was thinking
Still trying to hold and control him after he was told to let him go with an apology. Just can't give up that power over the lil' people.
I loved it when Jack just walked away. Didn't want to hear it.
If i get charged with a crime, go to court and say, "i did not know it was illegal", the judge will not allow that as an excusable defense. Why then, do those who are supposed to know the laws allowed to use it as an excuse?
There's a phone call !!! a phone call! A phone call! Oh, my God, a phone call!!! Now cops HAVE to Suspend everyone's Rights and the Laws , because there was A PHONE CALL !!!! who is on the other end of that phone!? Why are they More important than the Law And the Bill of Rights!???
I can't help but wonder if the caller made up the whole story because of the mask "Jack" was wearing. People do some stupid stuff based upon their emotions.
The worse part of all this was the threat of having CPS take his son. Bullying at it's best and therefore it's worse. Disgusting. And they wonder why the police get such a bad wrap.
To threaten was their intent!

These cops need to be sued personality. Down with qualified immunity! Maybe if their own money is on the line they will actually take the time to read up on the rules and learn how to actually do their job
THIS IS WHY QUALIFIED IMMUNITY NEEDS TO BE ABOLISHED!!!
Can't give enough thumbs up for this!
Qualified immunity makes no sense. It was devised decades ago under the premise that government organizations don't have enough money to pay for their mistakes. But, if they can't pay for their mistakes, then the organization shouldn't exist because it means they do more harm than benefit.
Fr the "qualified" arent even damn qualified
Absolutely Craig !!!
Exactly, again it's never ending. The thuggery
The fact that the sergeant has to teach the officers about the law in real time, and it seems like its first time they've ever heard the law...
Chilling moment when the police officer weoponizes calling CPS to take his child away.
They were looking for someone driving drunk with a kid. They find Jack, sober shopping in store with kid. This proves that they escalated to power tripping because he wouldn't give ID! Disgusting
Operating a shopping 🛍 cart under the influence of hunger and consumerism is absolutely grounds for a public beat down in a WalMart by agents of the New World Order of totalitarianism. Get with the program!
Well Tammy, you got it right. That's the only reason that came to mind, arresting that man was a retribution for refusing to id himself to oink oink cop.
Ronald no way 😁
They certainly did. They displayed power abuse, he was in the store shopping not in his vehicle. And he had the wrong color clothes on. Cops over stepped boundaries and arrested him under false pretense. I hope he wins the lawsuit
Punk ass cops
I predict that cop wont be happy being on that force much longer, they will likely fire him, then he will get hired the next day in an area PD. Welcome to police accountability
Since when is a Walmart employee, a certified child care provider for the state?
I would sue them on that fact alone! To let a stranger take a helpless child, without any vetting, is absurd, to say the least. Child abuse, and neglect, would be one of the charges.
Get the child separate legal representation and sue Walmart, the municipality, and the officers.
Shit that's kidnapping
This is similar to what I wrote also. That woman could have walked out that door at anytime without being noticed. It’s the police that endangered the child’s not the father. He should sue on that alone.

It's called the dumbing down of America. We have more information than ever before, but we are increasingly incapable of effectively using that information.
In other words in days gone by most people alive had common sense hence the name common sense. Today common sense is an oxymoron. We have made our society so safe that we keep people alive that have no common sense. We just seemed to be running out of competent people to fill the necessary positions.
This cop is too stupid to be a crossing guard. Why is he still employed is beyond me. Some municipalities seem to have no standards at all. I live in a suburb of Milwaukee. The cops here are professional and courteous. They write too many traffic tickets, but to be fair, our drivers are some of the worst.
Those officers should lose their qualified immunity, be terminated, sued and assult charges filed and prosecuted. The put that man's life in a possibly horrible position by calling cps and threatening to remove his son; these things are life damaging and those officers should be held accountable!!!
Exactly nothing less.
We need to end all qualified immunity!
When your stupid you can always fall back on the old, "I was ignorant of the law." That only works for the Officer. Doesn't work for a citizen. Officer still doesn't understand how he fu*ked up after have it explained to him.

“I didn’t know that this was bad” or “Well, that rule is kinda iffy to me…” don’t work for regular people in civil court.
It also encourages the justice system to deliberately stay as vague as possible, which is why the word ‘reasonable’ is thrown around so loosely as well as encouraging police to stay as ill-informed as possible about the updates to a situation in progress so that if they *do* make a mistake, they can just point to the old contemporary knowledge excuse.
