Happy I found this video, was debating between the 3S & 2S, and this helped with getting the 2S while saving a little coin. I can say it's still worth it in 2024.
Hi Cole, excellent job on this video! I agree the quality and presentation is of high quality, sorry I didn't see it sooner. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Damn bro! Loving the quality of your videos recently! I also own the mx3 and the battery is friggin amazing. I don’t even remember when I last charged it 🙌🏽 Keep it up bro 🚀
i got the mouse for like 50USD that thing is like 2-3x lesser than the price of the MX Master 3, let alone the Orochi V2 i use on my desktop While my hands are small and thus having a bit of a hard time readjusting myself to the 2S (thus why i use Orochi V2), the side scrolling is SUCH A godsend. I wish Logitech would make a G502-2S hybrid cuz i prefer my former Proteus Core design which was not too big for my hands and was perfect (minus the thumb button which is too far away) but i also like the features of the 2S
Side scrolling is the one thing I really miss when using other mice. A g502 hybrid would actually be super sweet, would definitely pick that up. Thanks for watching!
Thank you man! Not too much, I honestly don't use the gestures all to much other than to quickly switch tabs and such. I've had a few issues with the button completely not working in macOS, but aside from that it's been perfect
In normal settings my mx 2's middle button opens links for me by clicking it to the left. and closes tabs for me by clicking to the right. On my Mx 3s middle button. It opens the link in new tab but also takes me to the tab which is frustrating because sometimes I want to open multiple links to view later not atm. Clicking it to the right doesnt close the tab though. Anybody know a fix for this ???
Yep, I’m using it with an m1 pro 16”. Only issue I’ve had is at times it feels laggy, so I’ll have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working normal
good review tnx but you didn't say anything about the silentness of the mouse I was here hear wheather it was silent or not but didnt hear anything about it. but thanks for the content
I got this in 2021, still using it in 2023, and it's the best mouse I've ever used. If I had to get a new mouse, I would either get this again, or maybe the Master 3. For the extra $35 though, I hardly think the 3 is worth the extra money.
No its not I firmly believe logitech has lost their way with the ms master, used my 2s since it first came out and nothing has failed faster over time than the 2s (I've repaired it twice already both involving sensor issues), judging by the components and how much of an sore eye the 3s is I think I will be getting a G604 for work.
You must have gotten a lemon. I've been using my 2S while working from home etc (so, usually around 10 hours a day), and it's fantastic. I haven't had a single issue with it.
Hello i have question. Can i connect it to 3 unifying receiver or it connects to just one unifying receiver and 2 with bluetooth.(your *bluetooth got me thinking) Do you know any mouse which can connect to multiple unifying receiver
Mx2 or mx3? If you ask about mx3, it depends on version of mx3. Mac version doesnt have receiver. Mx master 3 for business have bolt receiver which means, that you won't connect it to unifying receiver, and you won't connect aby other unifying device to this bolt receiver. For any other version, and also mx2 you can use unifying receiver to connect up to 6 devices, but you need to have software installed on your PC
Great video, not having usb c on mx 2s was a bummer, and I was thinking of going to MX master 3 (and paying $40 more). But thanks to this video, I won't. Will stick with 2s.
It's just a cable difference not a substantive feature difference. It's not a "bummer" as it presents no limit of any sort except orienting the plug, which you only wind up doing once a month if you leave it to charge overnight.
@@johnsmith1474 It most definitely is a bummer. Micro-B is such a crappy connector that, compared to Type-C, the mouse simply will not last in use for nearly as long as it could.
@@doqtorisykero7971 I know this is an old comment but need to clarify that micro usb connector won't wear off like to imply. specially when you're not charging that often. I've been still using many micro usb devicies and usbc devices, only advantage of the usbc is the convenience. in micro usb u have to carefully see which side you gonna plug in. other than that no issues.
I loved the MX 2 and finally needed to replace it so I went with the MX3 about a year ago and I just don't like it. The scroll wheel does funky things and the button don't always work well (got to click more than once or twice to get a response). FUNKY. I want to go back to MX2. It was better. my iMac (2013/14) with OS 10.15.7 so I am hopping it will works ok :)
@@ColeCaccamise Might just be my mouse. It drops the software controlling the scroll so I have to go into Utilities and turn the Logitech software off and then back on and it corrects. Funk like that. Maybe the mouse is broken??
I torn between the MX 2s (50euros) and the MX 3 (73euros). I read a lot of people saying that the mx3 is not comfortable and that the 2s is still better. So I'm not sure if the 23euros extra for the 3 are worth it if its potentially worse than the 2. Which one do you think is more comfortable?
Slightly scammy you changed the title to worth it in 2023 when this video was made in 2021 :(
And now he changed it again and excluded the year altogether.
Glad he did
@@johnly5702 😂
That's funny
@@ArthurD he has included the year 2023 back in the title 💀💀💀💀
The thing is the 2S can be bought for half price or lesser than the 3.
Seems like the better buy
On Amazon it's only 60, even cheaper than the Orochi
And its more comfortable
Plus, the "meteorite" color is only available on the 2s, which I think looks awesome
I was considering the 3, looked at the 2s and was like "this is a better deal"
Besides the microUSB, I still prefer my 2S over the 3
Happy I found this video, was debating between the 3S & 2S, and this helped with getting the 2S while saving a little coin. I can say it's still worth it in 2024.

Yeah, I am looking at this component for Windows 10. I am interested in having the side buttons working OK for switching among virtual desktops.
I love mine! Got it mid 2021.. If it ever breaks I'm gonna get the 3 the battery is very good, the shape for me is perfect.

MX master VS MX master 2? They are at the same price on Amazon now
Kinda curious, what mousepad you're using ?
In this video I’m using a matte deskpad from grovemade. I think it’s either the small or medium size
For the flow feature, don't both computers have to be paired with the mouse to work? So both need wifi/Ethernet, and at least 1 has to have Bluetooth
Me watching this video owning both the MX Master 3 and 2S and agreeing with everything you said 😄
Just ordered mine today for $58 like new. Thanks for the review!

still valid, mid 2022. here!
100% agree! I upgraded to the 3s to check out for a review but the 2s is still more than good enough!

definitely still a very nice mouse! I ended up upgrading to the 3S as I wanted a change up in the design tho
Is 3 still having scrolling issue? My 2S is broken (gesture button issue) so I'm wondering if I should get 2S again or upgrade to 3
I never picked one up. My 2s is still going strong. I’m sticking with this until a 4 comes out

The scrolling issue is on all the MX Master 3/3S where it stops mid-scroll and you get frustrated everytime. Returned mine within a week.
is still good for gaming? compare with wireless g502?
