I was looking for a solution for the same issue for a long time, but always gave up after trying the Magic mouse and the MX, but you came with the clutch ! Thank you .
You are able to disable mouse pointer acceleration directly from macOS, this was added in macOS Sonoma. Should be under System Settings > Mouse > Advanced
the teleportation lag is due to interference of wifi and bluetooth signal on 2.4 GHz frequency. I turned of 2.4 GHz on my router and only operate it on 5 GHz and the problem went away just like that!
Recently got the Logitech M650. Comes with side buttons, silent click, Bluetooth, a magnetic scroll wheel (which is different from and not as crappy as the MX3S), a battery instead of charging, grippy side texture, and gestures while holding the middle button. Snagged it for $18 in a sale and couldn't be more happy. In fact, I like it more than my MX2S due to its size and weight.
That sounds really nice, especially for the price. Are you using it with a dongle or via Bluetooth? I'm curious if the bluetooth connection lags or not
@@bogxd Using it with the dongle. The Bluetooth is shit because my 2017 air has only Bluetooth 4. But when I tried this mouse with my brother's M1 Air, it worked pretty well
my m650 was shit using it with the mac pro 2021 with terrible delay and lag. I have to use an app called LinearMouse to disable pointer acceleration for it to function normally.
Im curious, what didn’t you like about the mx3s? I finally pulled the trigger after finding it for half off but if I’m going to get tired of it, I want to know! 😂 EDIT: after re-reading your comment I’m realizing you specified the scroll wheel. What did you mean by that? And was it the only issue you had?
Thought I'd let you know, there's apps like Mos you can use on macOS to get smooth scrolling with a scroll wheel mouse. If memory serves me right, you can even use it to set your mouse to reversed scrolling direction while keeping your trackpad scroll direction natural. Hope that helps you c:
The bluetooth lag on the MX Master 3S is so strange. Ive never had that problem. Ive used it on my 13” MBP-M1 and my 16” MBP-M2Pro. Works perfectly fine with no lag. And i also have a MX Master 3 and MX Anywhere 3 for Mac which both work perfectly fine with no lag. Mouse cursor never stutters or teleports.
same here, but I have MX Master 2S and older 15in MBP 2019. No issues at all on bluetooth, didn't feel any difference with Windows machine on dongle. And I think I'm picky in that regard, mice and keyboard and display experience should be smooth otherwise it's a deal breaker usually
I've had it on multiple units, just like my gf, who is also using them. It's been an issue for the Master 2s as well on both intel and M series macs. It is so annoying for a mouse this expensive. (we tried both the bluetooth and dongle version too, still the same)
You solved my horrible mouse/Mac problems! I was tearing my hair out with mouses that didn't feel natural or move as I expected. I bought the Keychron M3 and it is better than all the other (5) mice I've tried. Thank you!
How do you guys not know this? Here are some more common chrome hotkeys: Ctrl W to close current tab, Ctrl Shift T to reopen last closed tab (great if you misclick), Ctrl Tab to go to next tab and Ctrl Shift Tab to go to previous tab. There are variations of this on mac, I guess the command key instead of ctrl.
that middle click button note changed my life. So useful! like just for that tip alone. Then add the website for mouse testing this was the best thing I have watched in awhile.
Keychron just recently released the M6, a MX Master alternative that is half the price and with advertised MacOs compatibility, as well as USB-C Dongle. I've had it for a month so far and I'm satisfied with it :)
Thanks for the info! I was considering getting the MX master 3, but then I saw your comment and now I'll be able able to save up a little bit of money :D
Definitely looks nice, but it also looks to be lacking my favorite feature of the MX Master line: the thumb rest button. Using it to handle virtual desktops in macOS makes things very seamless. For the price though it does look to be a very nice alternative.
@@iiwajdMacbook pro M1 14 inch, M1 Pro CPU. Still satisfied with the mouse itself, although I broke the USB-C dongle by mishandling it, but I must say it is quite fragile. Bluetooth connectivity took over and it does an excellent job (much better than keychron bluetooth keyboards I must say)
Was also looking into the M6, but the Scroll Wheel is subpar compared to the Scroll Wheel of the MX3. And as a Software Dev, I Scroll a lot through masses of Source Code. So the Scroll Wheel of the MX3 is something I don't want to miss anymore. At home I use the MX3. On the go, I use the MX Anywhere 3, which has a similar Scroll Wheel.
You are lucky. My Mx master 3 has driven me crazy with the lagging and jitters. I was so excited to use this mouse but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.
@@sammahasona yes, i have tried with Logitech software and without. I have two mac books and it only happens on m1 macbooks. With windows this mouse is amazing. Either mac os or logitech driver is to blame here but in any case I can’t use mx master with m1 macs.
I've been using MX Master 3S for a year, and it's perfect. The cursor is not teleporting, but it's lagging for 10-15 secs after you haven't used it for a long time (1-2 days). And, Master 3S has a lot of features, which are must-haves in Mac
I kind of experienced what you're talking about when I switched from Windows to Mac using the MX Master 3s. It felt really laggy on Mac and was crazy smooth on Windows. What I did was: - On Logi Options: Enabled sensor range to 8K DPI; - On Mac System Settings: disabled mouse acceleration. Now it works just fine.
I actually been using the mx master 3 non s for a few years now. It's actually the best mac mouse I ever had. I think the key is to install the annoying logi+ sofware and continuously update its firmware, I rarely experience wierd connection issue, always connects automatically, and I use all the time being a creative / graphic designer.
I did not know about refresh rate and its working. Learnt something new. This was crisp and yet filled with great details. Damn, so hard to find such tech review videos these days.
Am using Logitech MX Master 3S and didn't have any of issues shown in this video. I love it because it's big and fits well in my hand, and love it mostly because it has a native button which allow to scroll and switch betwen all the open windows and Desktops like the Mac trackpad. The only downside of this mouse is that it get dirty and is difficult to clean properly
The sad thing about the magic mouse to me is that the good is really good! Using it in school in illustrator and Photoshop, i liked how intuitive it was moving around an image by just scrolling on the top. It's a shame that no one else has made any "touch mice" because i think it's ripe for innovation.
Nobody else has made any "touch mice" for Mac, simply because Apple won't _let_ anyone else. No other mouse is allowed to access the same controls as it.
First of all, I have to admit that your video and suggestion have greatly improved my life. I have a MacBook Pro M1 and was dissatisfied with the MX Master 3S. The significant mouse lag, which many consider the best mouse in the world, is unacceptable. Yesterday, after watching your video, I decided to sell the MX Master 3S and buy the KeyChron M3. So far, I am thrilled with its responsiveness on my computer. I've never had such a smooth feeling, not even with the Apple Magic Mouse. This is one of the more useful videos I've watched, and I've become a new follower of your channel. Since you explained everything in detail in this video, I suggest you create more clips for MacBook, such as useful applications you use daily and similar tricks and tips like this one. All the best!
The MX Master 3 or 3s is an amazing mouse, but only on Windows. My experience on a Mac is exactly the same as yours (and of the video author) and frankly I have a hard time deciphering why on earth would anyone recommend this mouse for Macs. The support for it is terrible and the mouse just feels bad. Do people generally just have poor standards on what is a good mouse experience? My experience on Windows with it is awesome and I swear I will buy it again as soon as this one dies.
@@Mikri90 The last time I utilized Windows was eight years ago when I was using the MX Master 2 mouse, an experience that left me thoroughly impressed. Recently, I've noticed that many RUclipsrs are using the MX Master 3S with their MacBook computers without encountering the issue that @bogxd and I are currently facing. It seems quite unusual. As described in this video, I have personally encountered all the issues associated with the MX Master 3S. However, since I purchased the Keychron M3 based on recommendation, I have been using it, and surprisingly, I have not experienced any lag issues at all. I thought it might be helpful to share this information with you, as it could provide some insight into the situation.
@@MihaRekar with a dongle or bluetooth? Performance is OK with a dongle, not as good as on my Windows machine, but not bad either. And btw it isn't lag per se, but input latency. It doesn't stutter or skip frames, it just isn't 1:1 with my hand motion. And btw that applies to my experience with the magic mouse as well, which, on top of having the input latency also has a terrible sensor. I know several people who swear by that mouse, and at this point I am not sure if people who have used Macs for years and decades now just have low standards for mouse performance or is it me who's just too picky. We don't all have the same expectations. No mouse I ever tried on Mac, matches my experience on Windows where the input latency is so small that it's as good as non-existent, and yes I have tried even my fast gaming mouse which is better than the MX Master 3 but not as good as it should be. The trackpad is awesome (the ones on Windows laptops usually suck) but I do need a mouse sometimes. But once again, the dongle performance is fine with me, it's the bluetooth performance that's terrible. Heck, I connected that same mouse over bluetooth to my fairly cheap Android phone and it was smoother and more responsive than on my Macbook. That should't really be happening, but that's how it is.
Been using the Mx Master 3 (not S) since 3 years now, and I occasionally switch between intel iMac 4k, MB Air M2, and a windows PC. Contrary to your experience, I've never once faced connection problems across any of my machines. It just performs brilliantly. The only 2 things I don't like about the mouse: a) The weight -its just too heavy b) The forward-backward buttons don't work with Safari (or maybe they do, I never cared about installing the Logi software) Also, one thing that no one mentions about the magic mouse is the feet that it uses to slide/ glide on surfaces - they tend to attract dirt and become sticky more frequently than any other mouse that I have ever tried, so much so that the mouse becomes annoying to use unless you wipe it with a damp cloth every other day. Never faced this problem with the MX master.
I have both the MX Master 3 and the MX Anywhere 3 and also haven't had any issues with either of them, they connect fine, and I can switch easily between two Macs.
The reasons I can’t switch away from the Magic Mouse are because of the swipe gestures and fluid directional scrolling when I’m working in Figma. It’s the hybridization of mouse and trackpad that is so useful for not having to take your fingers off the mouse, a big plus when designing.
Thanks for the detailed instructions. I got my mouse working again, but it immediately stopped after I put it back together. The I just loosened the two outer screws under the thumb button (the ones that are hidden beneath the wide glide pad) and now it seems to work. So, hint for everyone: try these two first before opening the whole mouse. Might save you some work.
I use MX Master 3 for over 4 years and still going without issue. It's not laggard and it is very precise. I use it a lot for photo and video editings and so far it is superb.
5 Different Macs (intel, M1, M2)... MX Master 2, 3 and 3S (all black)... Completely different experience! Smooth af! Working all day and night and even gaming (but prefer razor for gaming)! Best mouse I've ever used in over 20 years.
Just bought the Keychron M3 per your recommendation. Loving the mouse so far! Combined with Mac Mouse Fix for smooth scrolling and back and forth button functionality, I'm in heaven. Also your voice is satisfying 😂
There are dozens of bluetooth mice that don’t require a dongle, so a no-dongle mouse should be a requirement, imho. A dongle usually means they cheaped out on hardware.
For the longest time I have been finding a mouse that has both usb-c receiver and bluetooth. Thanks to you I now now about this keychron m3. I will get it. Thanks once again.
Thank you. I got a MX Master 3 and hated it every second. Thought I was going crazy - it looks nice, somewhat premium, but it's bad. Thank you for the video.
Hmmm, have zero issues with my MX 3s connected via bluetooth, more than that my keyboard is also wireless(nuphy air 75) and I also have redmi airdots pro bluetooth TWS headphones connected, and all this on 2017 macbook pro 13 inch. Everything works like a charm
I want to thank you BOG for the title of this video because I was on my wits end with my Magic Mouse after persevering for 10 months. The title grabbed my attention and I watched your clip. Personally, I have had enough of anything to do with Logitech. After watching your video, it gave me the impetus to start research on what other mice were suitable for a Mac, other than the ones you have stated. I got a lot from forums on other peoples experiences of using compatible mouse for their Mac's. For me, using the Magic Mouse was highly unproductive. I settled on a Hyperx Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless. The Hyperx works a treat, works brilliantly on Bluetooth, and don't need to touch the USB Dongle; it's still in the box. It is quick with the pointer, on my multiple large Monitors that I have, with no lagging. Best of all, I can be productive again and chuffed with my new purchase. The Magic Mouse has gone into retirement. Thank you for your informative video, cheers.
Finally someone that understands. I didn't know that they keychron has a usb-c dongle, why is this so unpopular, all should have that option! You didn't mention how it is charged, I'd love a stand for that mouse of some sort
MX3 wireless with the dongle and USB-C to USB-A + Mos + Logi Options+. I've set the middle button click to switch between desktops depending on which direction I move the mouse to simulate the 3 finger swipe on the touchpad. Very useful for navigating between full screen apps. Yes, the dongle sticks out a bit, but the Bluetooth connection sucks as noted in the video.
I have the MX Master 3. And as a Software Dev, I don't want to live without the Scroll Wheel of the MX Master anymore. I have to Scroll a lot through masses of Code and the Scroll Wheel of the MX Master is the best I ever experienced on a mouse so far.
I'm so glad I found this video. I returned several mice because they're so laggy on Mac, even ones marketed for it like the logi mx anywhere. I instantly ordered a keychron M3 Mini, hopefully it performs as well as the standard M3
Logitech sells a USB dongle for the MX Master mouse that has a much better polling rate. I use a MX Master 3 with the dongle every day and it’s amazing. Only problem is it’s USB-A, so that might not work for your criteria.
I've been using mx master 3s (gray not white), for around 3 years now. Across a couple of computers -> 3 macbooks, a desktop PC and a linux laptop. I'm really not sure what you're talking about in terms of it being laggy, never noticed anything like this. Maybe your specific mouse is faulty. I also use it full time at software development work and it has always been flawless.
I have two MX Master 3S and they’re always connected via Bluetooth to Macs. I’ve never had any connection issues. It could be interference from other devices but I assume that would affect other mice too. I used to use a Razer Basilisk via Bluetooth and that did have lag from time to time, especially when I joined video calls.
With the MX3 this is a manufacturing defect. I have been using this mouse for almost a year with a Bluetooth connection and have not encountered a single lag during this time. I use it with a MacBook Pro 14.
Thank you for this review! Almost bought MX Master only to found out that it actually laggy. You also brings up the technical explanation, which makes a strong evidence to your subjective experience. I guess I will just stick with my trackpad. It already gives me the best experience to work on a Macbook.
Never thought that a 120 Hz screen would have this drawback. I went from an MX Anywhere to an MX Master 1 to an MX Master 3 then due to some wrist pain i bought an MX Vertical and an MX Ergo trackball. I also have the magic mouse, out of all of them i use the trackball and i have the magic mouse in my bag in case i forgot the trackball. Honestly i don't think i'll ever go back to a mouse for work
I had an MX Master 3S on Mac at 120hz - with same issues you mention. Now been using a Logitech G603 - got a great sensor (125hz or 1000hz polling) has lightspeed/bluetooth connections and 18 month battery life. Shame it's discontinued.
YES, the G603 it's near perfect! and you can use one or two batteries if you prefer a lighter or heavier feel and you can also map the side buttons directly for mission control or show the desktop
My mouse has a 60 hz polling rate and it is smooth on my MacBook with pro motion! Do this: In Mac settings decrease the mouse speed to 1 or 2. In the mouse software increase the dpi or use the decent button for the dpi on the mouse. Much less lagging with bluetooth connection!
I love your video and your approach to finding the perfect mouse!! I am happy to see, Im not the only one approaching stuff by systematically analysing them. At times I laughed during the video, because I knew this is something I would do. I know that was not the point of the video, but it was still my favourite part!!
I just bought the new M3 macbook pro, and I needed something (1) portable, (2) rechargeable, and (3) USB-C compatible. I initially bought a cheap Logitech bluetooth mouse because I'm very happy with my Logitech gaming mouse at home, however, the bluetooth connection was horrible and made the cursor micro stutter. After some research, I came across the Lenovo Go Mouse. It is absolutely fantastic! As it (1) fits in my small backpack zipper, (2) has a rechargeable battery, and (3) comes equipped with a super minimal USB-C 2.4GHz dongle which alleviated the micro stuttering from the last mouse. Overall, I highly recommend the Lenovo Go Mouse for anyone looking for sleek, simple, "forget about it" solution to using a mouse on the go with a macbook :)
They make a mini version of this for people with smaller hands. Also the Logitech G705 is pretty good for small hands. The only current "gaming mouse" in their lineup that does both USB dongle and bluetooth and has a rechargeable battery. The gaming tag means it does 1000hz.
About the Logi MX mouse: I had the same issues with the teleporting. Just install the Logi Options+ Software of Logi and it will install the right drivers automatically. Now it is the best mouse ever. The mx mouse is simply practical for macbooks. I have the feeling that I don't have to make any compromises when it comes to the functions. For example, the button at the bottom for the thumb is great when it comes to switching desktops. The second scroll wheel is super useful when you are on the web and need to scroll horizontally. The Logitech software is just great. I have entire automations to set up my workspace.
you know what i do is shut off all the keyboard shortcuts and the mouse shake thing is in accessibility: it means when you shake the mouse it gets big so you can see it is shut offable
Pulsefire Haste 2 mini, No dongle (it has one, but not needed), 1k polling rate, white, smaller formfactor (ultra portable) - if u don't like the mini, get the regular. Literally one of the best mice I've ever used
I agree with the MX Master mouse! Tried both MX master and MX anywhere, and it was so laggy on my macbook air even when using the dongle. I settled with the g304 and it was the best mouse for me. Downside is it does not have a bluetooth connection.
I purchased the Keychron M3 to replace my MX Master 3 recently as a result of watching this video; just because I wanted to see if there was a significant difference in the feel and my productivity. A few things to report back to you all: 1. The MacOS software for the Keychron M3 is very confusing and of very poor quality; managed to finally get the buttons on the side to control my volume and the top button to lock the computer (the same way I had it on the MX3), but it took a while to figure it out. Unlike the M3's really nice software 😇. 2. The battery life on the Keychron M3 is very poor. I had charged it all the way up prior to use and it died after 1 day's use while I was in a meeting 😑. 3. The various polling options on the bottom of the mouse, while compelling, really turned out to be more of novelty for me; I just want to adjust the sensitivity, set it and forget it, I don't care for so many options. It didn't add a lot of value for me. But #2 (the poor battery life) put the nail in the coffin on this mouse 😖; it's getting returned to Amazon and I'm going back to the MX3.
I have the 3S and I’ve honestly barely used it because of the Bluetooth tracking lag issue, happens both on my M2 MacBook Air and M1 Pro 14” MBP, along with other machines. Even carried over after getting a free mouse replacement. Honestly for a mouse with my mac, I’ve just used my Logitech G Pro Superlight with a small dongle to put it into USB-C from USB-A, and customized a couple mouse binds to make it work for me
For me it is the MX Master 3. I've been using it for a year now and works great. I don't use the dongle cause the Bluetooth connection is really smooth. I never noticed any lag.
I've just gone from the Apple mouse to the MX 3 Master for Mac (for mac means you get a usb-c to usb-c cable). Works perfectly without any dongles. Game changer with the customisable buttons and scroll wheels for x and y axis.
thank you for your videos and articles! this inspires me very much! I watched and watched all your free material several times (I’m from Russia and can’t buy paid material) and I consider you one of the best RUclipsrs! I wish you good luck and many subscribers!
1:17 That was a cool trick. Also I found myself using mac's trackpad rather than mx master 2 mouse. It's absolutely great for my workflow as a designer, the only con is that 3 finger drag is not applied to the layers sometimes so you have to click on the trackpad and drag the layer so the changes are saved.
For me my old Microsoft Arc Mouse works great! It is really portable because you can literally fold it, and has similar functions as the trackpad, by swiping left to right on the mouse's 'screen'. its completely wireless, has an insane amount of battery. Only downside is that it is a bit uncomfortable for longer sessions.
IMO, the magic mouse is a best mouse for mac. The thing is, for many people it's just uncomfortable to use it because of the very low profile. Same happens to me. I was happily used it for 2+ years until my wrist started pain
for me "click" noise is also a huge problem, so I prefer to go for a "silent" mouse, like Logi M650 L, no dongle, fast, great quality and feeling premium at a low cost, white, light and portable. Give it a try, no more "click and pops"
MX Master 3 + Logitech Craft is the GOATED setup for editing. Whole setup can connect to 3 laptops at once, transfer files and heavy work on 3 PCs and a lot of more GOATED functions and features u cant find anywhere else. It literally doing magic if u looking for professional fast progressive editing flow. With insane magnet fast scrolling in all directions (Bluetooth laggy: Use Bluetooth pairing mode ONLY if u forgot USB at home) Otherwise its ultra fast no lag. (The whole setup WILL cost u..) But its No1. for editing if u ask me
you just BLEW MY MIND with the two scroll click tricks !!! cant believe i've never known or heard about that before. shocked that i didn't have to map anything either it was just automatically working :o i've been clicking the little X to close tabs and right clicking links my entire life to select open link in a new tab 😭
I have a different opinion about the Logitech MX Master 3s. Got it a few days ago for my desk and it is really nice to be able to program the buttons and stuff to do different things in different apps (like programing the back and forward buttons to act as forward and back a page in safari for example), that and being able to still activate all the same functions that the trackpad can do, which is kilelr when I am multitasking
Great Vid. I’d been using the Logitech MX Master 2 since its launch. Eventually it stopped working, currently using the Logitech Lift, underrated mouse.🔥🔥🔥
Mouses on Mac are funky... I tried Logitech G502 , Steelseries Rival 3, Mx Master (which was terrible). But ended up with SVIPA gaming mouse wired (20 euros only), together with disabled acceleration and mouse fix, it's a perfect, smooth and precise experience. So many other mouses just felt 'off'.
Hi there. I've been looking for this exact content after trying several! Just ordered the Keychron M3. Tried to order it through your link but I'm in Canada and had to switch to the Canadian site. Great info! New sub.
This is the video that Ive been looking for for the past decade. It always bugged me that every mouse that I bought for my several mac systems that I use all had horrendous bluetooth performance (and yes including the mx master). Latest one that Im using as my daily driver is the mx anywhere mouse and bluetooth mode just feels like crap. Now Im really tempted to try out the keychron one
I mean, it will still have that "Bluetooth" feel. Just a little little bit of delay, but you can't really get around it. I only noticed it when switching from the dongle to Bluetooth. But yeah this one is the best Bluetooth experience I've had with any mouse so far.
@@bogxd makes sense, although one of the things that makes logitech bluetooth connection feel extra meh is that it's like just a wee but short of feeling fine/acceptable. Maybe keychron's is within the "ok" range
The editing and pacing on this is delightful! One of the few videos on the platfrom I don't want to watch at 1.5-2x speed. Six and seven figure viewcounts are in your future.
The MX Master is incredible with the Unifier connector, the best mouse I've ever had. With the Unifier, I can connect up to 6 Logitech devices without any lag, which is very important for my work. I have a racing simrig so I can keep another mouse and keyboard there without using another USB port (and no cables!), so I have 4 devices using a single USB port. Never tried the BT connection, sad that isn't good. Good review!
Not sure if there is a huge difference between your mac and my M2 macbook pro, but I have absolutely no issues with my MX Master 3s. The bluetooth works fine, I don't notice latency issues, and I definitely don't have the cursor teleporting.
My FAVORITE mouse is the Logi M750. It has all the buttons I expect, is programmable, works with three Bluetooth devices, has a great wheel and...it's cheap. It's under $50.
I use Logitech MX Master 3S with the dongle that sticks 3 hamburgers per square toenail and it does not lag, i can even game on it. However, on my windows laptop it always defaulted to 125 Hz polling rate, and on my mac, because Apple, it often got stuck at 90, feeling slow and laggy comapred to the trackpad. However since Sonoma it is always 125Hz and it is actually nice to use, so you might check it out again and use try the dongle :)
I think your Logitech must have been defected. I used it for about a year now and haven't had any issues (apart from the white finish not being completely white anymore). It's really ergonomic, smooth and has no connection problems whatsoever. Disclaimer: I'm using it on a Studio Display not a 120Hz MacBook.
My company is looking for alternatives, and sadly for budget reasons mostly. Alas many recommendations go towards the MX Master 3S, quite popular among gamers, but it's huge and not fit for constant remote work, not to mention I have seen your vids about it, you make great reviews mate. Now...if by any chance you would be interested, how about trying the Satechi M1 wireless mouse? Check it out, it seems an excellent candidate. Keychron seems like a good alternative, but still a costly one...and the cheap price on the Satechi is raising some doubts, I look for an honest opinion on it.
I have no idea why mx master series are so popular. Almost every tech youtuber recommend it. I bought mx master 3 and was surprised by how bad it is. With bluetooth, it's not usable. Even with the dongle, it doesn't feel precise enough. It's also quite heavy. I'm currently using Razer deathadder essential and quite happy with it even though it's wired. I'll definitely try out Keychron m3
Recent studies on mouse ergonomics suggest that scrolling back up to smash the like button increases wrist strength by 7.3% on average
my doctor agrees!
how is the battery liffffffee

the more you use it and the more you learn how to use it the faster you will get, it is absolutely not like a windows laptop where a mouse is basically mandatory because the trackpads, while improved a lot on the hardware side, still suck ass on the software side and will so for another decade is my guess.
to test a mouse you have to use it for 3 months at least till your muscles adapt, almost everybody misses right there.
don't use pointer modification software or acceleration modification software, they all are terrible and ruin everything by slowing down everything.
my tip is to deactivate touch click and enable triple drag.
there is a lot to learn and to adapt to, which takes time, for your muscles and your brain.
Update on battery life?
Procrastination is truly a scary thing! I don't own a Mac, I don't even own a laptop. Why am I watching this. I got things to do brain

You are not alone bro - I watch clips with Kim Kardashian all day long! ;)
I was looking for a solution for the same issue for a long time, but always gave up after trying the Magic mouse and the MX, but you came with the clutch ! Thank you .
haha cheers!
1:16 thanks for the notebook flip, i really enjoyed that.
You are able to disable mouse pointer acceleration directly from macOS, this was added in macOS Sonoma. Should be under System Settings > Mouse > Advanced
oh, finally they added it into settings! ty for letting me know
it feel horrible after disable it it how lol?
Thanks, bro!
THEY FINALLY DID THAT???? AFTER 40 YEARS?????????
Can you turn off mouse *wheel* acceleration too?
Perfect tone, cool motion design, great storytelling - your content is great! 🙌🏻
the teleportation lag is due to interference of wifi and bluetooth signal on 2.4 GHz frequency.
But when I tried this mouse with my brother's M1 Air, it worked pretty well
Came here to suggest this , am saving up for this mouse , and I think it's the best option for my m1 air.
my m650 was shit using it with the mac pro 2021 with terrible delay and lag. I have to use an app called LinearMouse to disable pointer acceleration for it to function normally.
Im curious, what didn’t you like about the mx3s? I finally pulled the trigger after finding it for half off but if I’m going to get tired of it, I want to know! 😂
EDIT: after re-reading your comment I’m realizing you specified the scroll wheel.
Yeah I use Mos mainly for the reversed scrolling feature while keeping trackpad natural.
The fact that you can’t set the track pad and scroll wheel separate is so annoying.
wait, does it affect both? i thought with mos it only switches it over for mouse input
Actually you can do that on native Mac mouse settings 👀
@@franpanxop the setting applies to both the trackpad and mouse though, i thought
That’s so strange, I tried the white version, returned it and got the black one, and both had the same issue
same here, but I have MX Master 2S and older 15in MBP 2019. No issues at all on bluetooth, didn't feel any difference with Windows machine on dongle. And I think I'm picky in that regard, mice and keyboard and display experience should be smooth otherwise it's a deal breaker usually
Same, I've used the MX Master for a few years on a MacBook 16 and never had any lag issue. I really like that mouse!@@AntonBlaschuk
Same here. Using MX series since 2 years.. never lagged.
Thank you!
Oh damn, thanks for the super thanks!
6:50 you changed my life with this trick
damn, it even works in windows
same here... I be lyk: wait, whaaat. Then open a new tab in my Microsoft Edge and it works...
Actually wild
There's an app for Mac called MiddleClick that lets you three-finger tap on the trackpad for a middle click
Thanks for this extensive review. I’ve been searching for a “perfect” non-laggy BT mouse for my Mac. I’ll definitely try Keychron M3.
How is it? Have you bought it?
Can you please update for us that is looking for a mouse?
that middle click button note changed my life. So useful! like just for that tip alone.
What is your mac? And are you still satisfied?
I have the MX Master 3S for 2 years now using with a M1 Max macbook. Never had any issues about it. I even game with it sometimes.
Same, I'm still using the M3 and have never had any issues with it either. M2 Max here.
You are lucky. My Mx master 3 has driven me crazy with the lagging and jitters. I was so excited to use this mouse but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.
I have used the MX 2S for so many years now. No issues whatsoever. The charge still lasts for months.
@@indieNerd Are you using the provided software to configure the buttons. I don't know if that helps but. I had it installed since day 1.
What I did was:
- On Logi Options: Enabled sensor range to 8K DPI;
- On Mac System Settings: disabled mouse acceleration.
Ayee thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful!
@@Mikri90I've used the MX Revolution, Master, Master 2, 3, and 3S, and never had a lag problem with any of them on any of my macs 🤷♂
I've had MX Anywhere 3S for 2 years now with my macbook and have had no issues with it. Super portable, comfortable, no lag. It's just good.
Been using the Mx Master 3 (not S) since 3 years now, and I occasionally switch between intel iMac 4k, MB Air M2, and a windows PC. Contrary to your experience, I've never once faced connection problems across any of my machines. It just performs brilliantly.
The only 2 things I don't like about the mouse:
a) The weight -its just too heavy
b) The forward-backward buttons don't work with Safari (or maybe they do, I never cared about installing the Logi software)
Also, one thing that no one mentions about the magic mouse is the feet that it uses to slide/ glide on surfaces - they tend to attract dirt and become sticky more frequently than any other mouse that I have ever tried, so much so that the mouse becomes annoying to use unless you wipe it with a damp cloth every other day. Never faced this problem with the MX master.
I have both the MX Master 3 and the MX Anywhere 3 and also haven't had any issues with either of them, they connect fine, and I can switch easily between two Macs.
Forward and backward buttons have never worked in Safari with any mouse I’ve used.
The reasons I can’t switch away from the Magic Mouse are because of the swipe gestures and fluid directional scrolling when I’m working in Figma. It’s the hybridization of mouse and trackpad that is so useful for not having to take your fingers off the mouse, a big plus when designing.
Figma balls
True
is it the bluetooth problem also the problem ? i thought if apple product will not have this problem
Great video. Looooove the background music and the narrating that fits perfectly alongside it.
Damn, thanks!
This video is so clutch, I had no clue about latency n bluetooth connections n all that. I was just going for coolest looking 😅
Yea I suspect bro received a faulty MX MASTER LOL
You literally changed my life by telling me what the mouse middle button does. never found a proper use for it in my whole 23 years using a computer.
Ayee, thanks for watching!
@@andreyyastrebtsov4367 That’s amazing.
I love the well rounded testing and technical emphasis! Subscribed!
The MX Master 3s in combination with the Mac app "Mac Mouse Fix" is the biggest deal I could've done, seriously. I am MORE than happy with it
MX3 wireless with the dongle and USB-C to USB-A + Mos + Logi Options+.
Not a manufacturing defect. It was a software driver issue. With the latest logi options + software, it is buttery smooth. No more lag.
@re7qi has Logitech come out with a successor to this mouse?
Battery life of the Magic Mouse is awesome. I have to charge it once every 6 months using it 8 hours a day. No other mouse has such a battery life.
My mouse has a 60 hz polling rate and it is smooth on my MacBook with pro motion!
Do this:
In Mac settings decrease the mouse speed to 1 or 2.
I know that was not the point of the video, but it was still my favourite part!!
the animations are so simple but so good

Logitech MX 2S had a software driver issue. With the recent logi options + software, it is buttery smooth. No more lag.
I also went through the same hunt… The solution is the Keychron M6 mouse: high polling rate, great ergonomics and a usb c dongle!
I have entire automations to set up my workspace.
you know what i do is shut off all the keyboard shortcuts and the mouse shake thing is in accessibility:
it means when you shake the mouse it gets big so you can see it is shut offable
Pulsefire Haste 2 mini, No dongle (it has one, but not needed), 1k polling rate, white, smaller formfactor (ultra portable) - if u don't like the mini, get the regular.
Literally one of the best mice I've ever used
Woa, when you said "Under the like button", it shined with colors, I dunno if you make that on purpose but its pretty cool, never seen that before.
A few things to report back to you all:
Only downside is that it is a bit uncomfortable for longer sessions.
i dont have a mac and am never planning on getting one, yet i allways end up on you videos... why....
good vid 👍
xd, thanks!
Just get G502 hero and if you need to sideways scroll with any mouse hold the shift key when scrolling. Problem solved
I'm so happy with my Logi M590. This thing can connect 2 devices via BT and easily switch between then using a button on top of the mouse.
(The whole setup WILL cost u..) But its No1. for editing if u ask me
Your sentences would make more sense if you said "GOAT" instead of "GOATED". Try it out.
you just BLEW MY MIND with the two scroll click tricks !!! cant believe i've never known or heard about that before. shocked that i didn't have to map anything either it was just automatically working :o i've been clicking the little X to close tabs and right clicking links my entire life to select open link in a new tab 😭
This was exactly my reaction when I found out about it too haha, thx for watching
Cheers!
So many other mouses just felt 'off'.
that middle mouse tip is truly life changing
4:47 That drawing would have been a masterpiece🤫
Hi there. I've been looking for this exact content after trying several! Just ordered the Keychron M3. Tried to order it through your link but I'm in Canada and had to switch to the Canadian site. Great info! New sub.
Razer Pro Click Mini is so underated. Perfect for macbook and Windows switching and even gaming with dongle.
ME TOO! I’ve been looking for a mouse that doesn’t lag on Mac
I really like this mouse. If only the left click button was smoother and quieter I'd be sold. Any alternatives here?
The MX Master is incredible with the Unifier connector, the best mouse I've ever had. With the Unifier, I can connect up to 6 Logitech devices without any lag, which is very important for my work. I have a racing simrig so I can keep another mouse and keyboard there without using another USB port (and no cables!), so I have 4 devices using a single USB port. Never tried the BT connection, sad that isn't good. Good review!
I use a Logitech MX Master 3S and it works perfectly! Also, I chose the dark/black version so it looks better when not 100% clean.
Not sure if there is a huge difference between your mac and my M2 macbook pro, but I have absolutely no issues with my MX Master 3s. The bluetooth works fine, I don't notice latency issues, and I definitely don't have the cursor teleporting.
I can’t stop laughing at “3 hamburgers per square toenail” lmao
My FAVORITE mouse is the Logi M750. It has all the buttons I expect, is programmable, works with three Bluetooth devices, has a great wheel and...it's cheap. It's under $50.
TBH: Have the MX Master 3 not 3s and never had a problem with my MacBook Pro M2. Works perfect!
Your manim animations are so damn cool and advanced! Keep it up man
The Mx mster 3s for Mac is BY FAR the best mouse out there for Mac and I own both this and the magic mouse.
Just what I needed. Thank you!
