It's funny because Dr. Berry keeps telling us to go see our doctor. The problem is that many of us don't have doctors, for all intents and purposes because they're ignorant about keto and carnivore. I am one of those people. I consider myself to not have a doctor. Dr. Berry, Dr. Fung, Dr. Saladino, Dr. Diamond and Dr. Ali are my doctors!

Hi, just a quick comment as you seem to enjoy so much the successes of recently converted carnivores. I have been carnivore for 4 months now. Lowered blood pressure, fixed some minor joint pain, gained muscle and lost belly fat, gained a ton of energy and mental clarity. I also converted my wife and 12 years old daughter. For me the excellent , well researched, well presented information provided by Ken Berry and Anthony Chaffee, was the key to understanding the proper human diet and adopting it.

Regarding anti-depressant meds; hubby weaned himself off of Effexor by reducing a little each week. He weighed out the volume of the capsules, and created new capsules, using empty capsules we had bought for bulk potassium and magnesium. He reduced the volume in the capsules each week, and that kept him from having the withdrawal effects. Took him several weeks, but it worked like a charm!

I have Graves' Disease and Graves' Ophthalmopathy, I was diagnosed with both in 2016, but we think I've been suffering with these autoimmune conditions for much longer than that. I've always suffered with alopecia. I had an emergency appendectomy in 2002, and an emergency cholecystectomy in 2005. I've been suffering with digestive issues ever since the second surgery. This past October, I got another diagnosis, Sjorgen's Syndrome. This was after months of waking up with swollen, red eyelids and painful dry patches on the inside of my nose. I am so tired of being ill. I just turned 50 and I'm on a walker. I realize everyone has their cross to bear, but I still think that my situation can be improved through diet and by God's grace. I eased into carnivore by doing keto for a few weeks. I've already done the hard parts, almost two weeks in and I don't use any seed oils, I don't use any sweeteners and I only drink water and coffee. I add salt to both. I haven't had acid reflux, but I'm trying to power through the discomfort with my digestion. I think I may have issues with dairy that I never realized before.

I seem to have bottomed out@220 lbs. As I've said before, I'm a "ostomate", and this 50 lbs has helped me so much. It's now my lifestyle. I have drank 1.5-2.5 gallons of water every day since 1978. Since going on the Keto diet/carnivore diet I've stopped doing that. I'm more at at , 75 to 1 gal per day. I've gone from 267 lbs to 218. My goal is 205 which is my fighting weight. I haven't changed my eating habit, but have begun to hover around 218 lbs. I want to break through. Is it possible that I've had types II diabetes for this many years?

I suggest your videos to everyone that asks me about my weight loss. So much so that it may have bitten me in the behind when it comes to finding grass feed beef/liver. All the farms near me have a wait list until December for grass feed beef liver.

Pastured chicken livers might be a good alternate though I prefer beef liver.

Loki looks like my Sheldon. I just lost him to Squamish Cell Carcinoma on his larynx at only 9 years old. Love that cat while you have him.

Were you feeding your cat kibble with lots of soy or wheat, seed oils, etc?

    Absolutely love you two.
Too much good stuff in this episode to mention.
Curious about Armor thyroid. 2 weeks out from thyroidectomy and an RN. Can you do a video on it. What I've read so far I'm a little leary but have heard good things about it. My apprehension is that I've heard it's difficult to know which and how much T's you're getting.
Have you seen Food Lies video on Monsanto. Made me laugh, then cry, then weep for our people. My dad died from HF, had DM2, and melanoma...all connected to agent orange. Passed when I was between my 1st and 2nd year of my nursing program. He did 3 tours voluntarily in Vietnam.
One of these days I'll catch you all Live.
    Beautiful people.
    Jen

Was on armour for 6 yrs but then they had a recall. They reformulated and added fillers that I’m allergic to so I switched to np thyroid. Excellent for almost 10 yrs then they had a recall. All desiccated thyroid can be wonderful for most people. But they do have recalls and they do have shortages. I think it’s a big pharma thing. If you choose to take the lab route, might I suggest either compounded thyroid (what I take now) or if you’re going to be on synthroid, make sure they prescribe cytomel along with it. It’s hard for people that have no or low thyroid to convert t4 to t3. And take your iodine! Wishing you all the best.

Thank you both, for all of your great info. I’m on my 8th day of keto, lost 4 pounds so far, started doing cardio yesterday. I have a fatty liver and very high triglycerides 3500 at the highest. Will I ever be able to get off my meds?

I am so far off the rails w/ Keto lately & I don't even care ! Not sure if maybe it's just fatigue/burn out or what but after 2 years following the Keto Nazi it's hard to rethink a balanced approach & getting back on track. I'm STILL compelled to make giant salads every night & beat myself up when I don't. What's a good strategy for digging out ?

Darn I missed live again!!!! I read something that said to break your fast with protein but not eggs? Anyone know if this is true and why? The thought of meat first thing after fasting makes me want to be sick. 😬

I've been doing a carnivore diet with the occasional avocado and a 16/8 fasting. My work schedule has been 11:00 pm to 7:00am but it may change to 2:00pm to 10pm:. I really don't know what to do. I've made great progress. Lost about 15 pounds in a month, had great labs (but I haven't done cholesterol since the diet) and I don't want to lose gains. I walk about 3 miles at work and plan on working out after work if I change schedules. What shoulkd I do.
