We Tried Jollibee - The Filipino Fast-Food Restaurant With Thousands Of Locations Around The World

- We went to one of the 36 Jollibee locations in the US to see why the Filipino fast-food chain is so popular.
Following is a transcript of the video:
Going to the Jollibee yeah!
Hey, what's going on? Can I do an Aloha burger, the Chickenjoy spicy, the rice and gravy side, and then can I do the fiesta noodles, the spaghetti, a hot dog, the Spam sandwich, and the corned beef sandwich.
Yo dog. Ok, I guess I’ll just start right here. The amazing Aloha burger which has bacon, cheese obviously, and pineapple. Holy crap. That is so good. The pineapple. That’s what makes it. Oh my God.
The garlic with the sauce and everything, these noodles are like… I don’t know exactly what noodles they are. I will look it up and put it on the screen right… there. Reading the description it seemed kinda weird, but all together it is insanely good.
That’s got some heat to it too, man. Oh it’s got some heat. This chicken is so good. Way better than KFC.
I can’t believe how good this food is.
Something that’s near and dear to me as an Italian man, going to try their spaghetti. This seems to be like the main thing that everyone talks about online. Hot dog bits, bits of ham and pork, cheese. I mean to be honest it’s like something I would come up with when I was stoned.
No. I’m actually not into that. The sauce is sweet. First miss. First miss on Jollibee.
With the cheese and whatever sauce is on here, oh man. This is like Iceland level good of a hot dog.
I have a prediction this is going to blow my mind. It has like this creamy mayo on it. Look at that shape. The undeniable shape of Spam. Wow. I love that too. I think it’s the sauce. I love Jollibee.
This pie better be good. Dude, it’s like just fried. Duuuuude…
That is so good. The mango in here is so sweet. The outside is like savory. Oh man. It’s hot! I like my fast food with a little bit of danger. I’m not gonna sue. If that’s what it takes to make this thing that good so be it. Let the skin get burned.
I don’t even know where to start with this thing. Look at this nuts thing. It’s mostly shredded ice, I think there’s ice cream on top. There’s all this stuff at the bottom. And you gotta kinda like scoop it out and when you add it with the shaved ice, it’s excellent. No idea how much it costs. Get that price right over my face.
Oh, my God, that was incredible. I’m like exhausted I ate so much. My first time at Jollibee and I‘ll definitely come back. This was an incredible meal. Look at the smile, now I know why he’s smiling. This food’s so great, that why.

Jollibee is like “Disney” of fast food. Rooted from childhood; so nostalgic.
Burgers, fries and mash potato are not Filipino food. It’s American cuisine. Jollibee is a Philippine-owned restaurant that serves American food with a Filipino twist like putting sugar/sweetener in their spaghetti. Personally, I don’t like the food. The Jollibee spaghetti is so good in my opinion, just don't let the Italians eat 'em, they'll be disappointed 😂
Filipinos and Italians have different sense of taste.
Not just Italians but neighboring Europeans in general. Except most kids, some or most adult Filipinos sees Filipino spaghetti as dessert not a main dish, that's why it's sweet.
There spaghetti is very sweet cause im a filipino and oh almost forgot there chickenjoy is very popular i ate jollibee like a thousands of times and its great that im in the filipines 😊

We got our own version of spaghetti. ha. It's the ultimate birthday or christmas or any occasion food (aside from Pancit). It's best partnered with the chicken according to many Filipinos.

"Halo-halo" literally translates to "mix-mix" (meaning "to mix" , or "mixed up") which describes the dessert, having a mix of different fruits and nuts and sweets. "Mix" can also be referring to what people (generally) do before eating/drinking it. Giving it some nice mix would enhance the taste of the powdered sugar which are usually at the bottom of the cup which you'll have to scrap using the spoon in order dissolve them properly for sweeter taste. And also to get the "ube" (purple yam) and ice cream to be mixed with the milk (if you want that, tho some people don't want that and it's fine).
So yeah the name is kind of a pun.

Jolibee is having the international recognition it deserves, as a filipino, I'm proud
It's Chinese owned
@@wexrandez7216 what?
@@pororo6-x5t it's Chinese owned man. I'm Filipino myself
@@wexrandez7216 sorry man, I ain't Filipino, but you're not fooling anyone around. Only a low IQ would say that Jollibee is owned by the Chinese, and not mentioning it's also an insult.. How do i knew this? I do my own research, i just can't believe how ignorant you are, saying you're a Filipino and not knowing a basic info, or maybe you're just trolling around.
@@pororo6-x5t Technically the owner of Jollibee is ethnically Chinese from Fujian China. You may search for Tony Tan Caktiong in Google
There's more people complaining about the people saying "who's Filipino here" than people actually saying "who's Filipino here"
I should find a chance that i will see Guava Juice in one of these Jollibees
you won't like it when you pee and smells like a ripe guava...even Filipinos will find it yukky..
*mentions Jollibee*
Filipinos: You dare mention Jollibee? Then we shall come by strom
YES YOU HAVE FINALLY TASTED A PART OF FILIPINO CULTURE WE LOVE AND ARE A PART OF JOLIBEE
I just couldn't believe that it's so expensive there bc it's rly cheap here
ItzSienna because if they have the same price as here in the Philippines it'll be so cheaaaap to them
Supplier prices, they need to source local so food is definitely gonna be more expensive

Gordon Ramsay : So next epsiode of Kitchen Nightmares coming soon
In the Philippines...it should not be like that...like WTF we know it is a fast food chain but...it must be garnished in a good way lmao🤣
A heard Italian and Jollibee spaghetti, *i know its gonna get real*
As a filipino growing up with jollibee i never realize how sweet the sauce untill this guy said so.
Oh yes,Chickenjoy and rice/chips.
Eliza Guinto same thing boi. You would actually know the difference if you were filipino.
Pineapple on burger: Okay!
Pineapple on pizza: *I'M TRIGGERED*
ME TOO! 😂
*SJW*
Pineapples on pizza are honestly good, some people just hating on it because the internet told them to do so 👁👄👁
Actually....i hate hawaiian pizza....not in a racial way...i am talking about the pizza itself....but...i eat the pineapples first...
Who else is Filipino?
Edit: thx for likes
Jeremy Riego de Dios me
It’s me
Jeremy Riego de Dios me
shut up
mEEE
I mean, it is Filipino style spaghetti so understandable.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE EVER HEARD SOMEONE SAY “Savory” IN JOLIBEE 😂
Lol It's more expensive there than here in Philippines
But they got the amazing aloha burger
U.S Average wage beats Philippines
= Higher work of production, Service, Acquiring Ingredients
Higher Standard of living = more expensive things compared to other countries
But in reality its still cheaper
Wen Cai you are right. An accountant may also explain this through Managerial accounting terms. Materials, labor, overhead. Costing, expenses, etc.
Look at it this way
PH minimum wage per 8 hrs. is 500 (about $9 to $10)
US average is $8... per hour....
So yeah. See the difference? The daily $8 vs the hourly $8. So, a $3.99 meal in the US that is around $1 to $2 in the Phililpines is still cheaper for them.
Jomarcenter Media we have Amazing Aloha Burger Too..
Labor is more expensive there.
Our spaghetti is supposedly sweet because kids really like it, and now we’re grown ups we still love it
If someone ever say Jollibee is bad
