Loved David Essex, saw him live in the 70s, got all his records, pictures all over my bedroom wall with David Cassidy, David Bowie and Marc Bolan. The best of times❤❤❤
Same here all but David Bowie I wasn't keen on him, seen David Essex twice in mid 70s and he was gorgeous, it was when his album All the fun of the fair, came out, was mad on David Cassidy too but never got to see him, but he aged terrible, and David here hasn't aged good either.
The Music was Dreadful (David Essex) At That Time! The Sex pistols Put An End To That Shit! Disco Duck!, Figaro!,Whispering Grass!, Essex, And All That Garbage!..
@@alanjames4991 the rest of it was good. Your just picking out the odd bad ones. Novelty records where around then. I don't think all the stuff Bowie, Queen and Elton John was crap. Just to name a few.
I left home when I was 22 and moved into lodgings owned be a woman and her two daughters. One was at school and the other was working. Every morning the radio went on at 7am to wake everyone up. It was nearly always "Gonna Make You A Star " or Bay City Rollers. 1974. Great memories.
Great stuff David. Great guy . 70s legend and still looks great today . If you're born with great looks .... you're blessed and no one can ever take that from you so well done you're fab
Had the pleasure of meeting David some years back in a Chinese restaurant, he was in panto at the time in Liverpool, he was an absolute gent, he’s not lost it
I remember seeing his film “That`ll be the Day” in the cinema in Pocklington, N.Yorks when it was first released. He was a really good actor as well as a great singer. I’m 60 now, but it’s still a shock to see him in his seventies. He still looks great for it though.
Ah! My youth is flashing before me! Later on, in my 20's I was lucky enough to work somewhere he was performing..saw his show every night for a week..and when he came in every day he couldnt have been nicer, always had a chat to us..and those sparkling blue eyes were just as sparkling as I'd imagined!
This man's voice is still so distinctive , and he was just gorgeous in the 70s , makes me weak to watch the original video of him in this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤🥵🥵🥵🥵😉😉😉😉
You realise how good he was back in the day…great he can stand and sing in a karaoke fashion …rock on. Was that the teds coat from stardust..? Pity we couldnt see his shoes and socks..dont retire David..dont fade away.it’d be great to recognise him in the street wouldnt it? And he gave you that cheeky grin.its great that he dosent wear a wig like all the other ageing celebrities..i wish he would take his songs seriously though..like tom jones…he can belt one out still..
bless my sister ..her partner had him booked on the 22nd September her birthday but she was sadly and tragically sent home from hospital with a few weeks left to live .RiP Eve .
me and david have grown older together through the years lol although he doesnt know me i have followed him since i was a young teen i am 67 now and i think life has been cruel to me because he is still fit and i still would lol but he would definatly pass on me, a girl can still dream though xx
I remember watching him starring in Stardust and That'll be the day, great days the 70's with no woke bollocks we have today. David Essex is still fab.
Oh god hasn’t he got old? He was gorgeous in the 70s, such a naughty twinkle in his eye. Sexier than David Cassidy! Loved David Essex in that film, “That’ll be the day”. Saw it at the flicks when it came out. I fancied him like mad. Didn’t realise he’d changed so much. Whatever happened? Whoops! I just passed a mirror. Oh dear …. 😥
Should probably stick to acting David, you still look good, but the voice is not what it was in the 1970's.....still , as long as the audience enjoy it, that's the main thing. Great to see you are still pleasing people after fifty years. One of show biz's nice guys.
Give the guy a break, he was once very talented, he is just re living his past, and at 75, he’s still sounding ok, come back when you’re 75 and tell me it’s wrong to reminisce on your past success, you have a nice now!!
@@thomaseaves7567 no offense meant whatsoever :). Mr Essex is a role model ........ its just so cool to see him like a dancing. bear having so much fun :)
Oh the good old days. A much simpler time growing up and the music was so good
Wonderful! At 75 he still has a fabulous voice. Loved it in the 70s...still remember all the words!

It's not how well the Bear dances.....its the fact that it can dance at all. Good to see DE still on the stage.
I always thought that about Frank Sinatra. He wouldn’t lie down.
OH My God, I would never have recognized him, he's so different as an older man.
Loved his work on Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds.

Saw David at the opera house in Buxton around 1982 with my girlfriend who loved him and yes i think i was the ONLY MALE at the gig😂
Blimey, if I saw him walking down the street I wouldn't recognise him!
I look at this and can't believe it's David Essex. I know he's older but unless you got up close you wouldn't recognise him.
