Wish the majority of modern music that gets airtime had this lovely natural sound. I am 28 btw a young person, tend to clash with most around my age due to my preference of 60s and 70s hits
When we were kids growing up in Ilford and Seven Kings we would always see him visiting his mum on a Sunday,we would mimic We Going to Make you a Star and run away and he would laugh and say not bad boys ! A good chap !
Can I ask 1question do you think today's music can touch this classic track answer no not in a million years the thing that gets me this track is 46 years old and still sounds brilliant nuff said
What A Top man David Is. met Him Some Years Ago. On A Horrid Wet Day. I Was A mate in A Truck Working. We Pulled Up. Me Asking A Supposedly member of The Public? It Was Mr Essex Walking He's Dog. Gave me The Perfect Directions To A Garden Nursery. No t A Bother in Such A Rainy Day.❤
I'm a bloke. But my dad was exactly like your dad. I'm also straight, but was intensely jealous of his 'cheeky chappie' good looks and personality. I wanted to be him so much. Great fun to revisit these simpler times eh? 🤪
It's like the difference between diamonds and dog shit...hopefully things will go full circle and people will start to realise the junk they're being fed today
Does anyone know that essex was auditioned for a part in the hammer horror film vampire circus in 1972 but he lost to Anthony corlan Higgins who came from taste the blood of Dracula and he auditioned for Emile originally.
I never knew of this song until 2023. It was the ending theme for a really fun comedy horror movie, Eat Locals. I have never been so pleasantly surprised by a vampire movie before. I don’t know why it got a bad score on rotten tomatoes because it was a awesome flick and the ending scene with this song was just terrific.
Me too! I remember this song from when it was in the charts. As for Philadelphia cream cheese....nah! I 've got Sainsbury's cheapo version (Mary Ann's Dairy) in my fridge. Much nicer and far cheaper. Love it with salsa. Gotta have some on a cracker, now!!!
David was my first love. And still is even though been married 49yrs.😊
Reminds me of living in Sony Stratford England in 1975 ....very happy memories 😊
Me too
Thought it was 76 😂
My dad loved playing this in the car when I was young. Those were much happier times.
Yesssss!!!!!!!
I miss those days so much! Thankyou for showing me that someone else has this exact memory ❤️
Maybe you could hook me up with your dad😊
Cute 💕
❤
Oh my lord. I remember being in the car as a child with my nan, singing along to this. I love you nan ♡ Miss you lots, Rest in peace.
One of my Mums favourite singers. Remember it playing as a kid. Reminds me of my Dad too miss you Dad.

Brilliant 70s song, reminds me of simpler times when everything was possible 😊
One of those mornings when you wake with a song in your head and today this is it.
What a song
How about "Rock On", "Gonna Make you a Star" and "Silver Dream Machine" too?
Damn he was sexy. Loved his music. Reminds me of happier times. If only I could go back and make a few major different decisions.
