Can you please give us your thoughts and a possible review of Roborock Q Revo. It seems great value for what it brings but I’m not buying a vacuum until you put it trough your tests.
It seems that Roborock Q Revo is a ripoff of Dreambot L10S for less money. I’m interested to see if it’s just a rebadged products or did Roborock actually make it from scratch. How do they compare?
The auto-solution adding function can be a pro and a con depending on the user. Having auto solution adding means you cannot manually control the concentration of the detergent in the solution. The app might allow you to adjust the concentration, but the level of adjustment won't be as free as manual adjustments. It could also mean the water tanks would be smaller, to make space for the detergent tank. Users may also be limited to a specific solution that they have to keep buying.
Interesting that the roborock won the feature category, even though it doesn't have a mop drying system, while the dreame has one. "bigger bin" seems like an odd reason to win that category, especially when you have the station which sucks it empty anyway.
There is a slight error in the navigation efficiency score; the Roborock did slightly better than was reported in the video (0.69 meters per min instead of 0.63). It doesn't change the outcome of that category.
I bought a Dreametech L10s Ultra recently and I love it. Based on the significantly reduced price compared to the S7 Ultra I think it’s a much better buy.
I have the S7 Ultra Max. Really my only requested for change would be in the app being able to prioritize certain rooms to be cleaned first or set the order that they are cleaned.
I'm planning on buying the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra when it comes out, but I'm intrigued by the L10s. Like a lot of people, I have grout lines. The hard floor tests in the video don't seem to take them into consideration. The L10s mop pads look like they would be able to get further down into grout lines, whereas the Roborock probably just hovers above them.
I just purchased an l10s. The mop pads are quite thick and soft, more like a traditional mop. My old deebot mop pads were just a microfiber with a rigid back from what I can tell is similar to the roborocks. The rigid pads tend to just fill grout with dirty mop water...
Please add more obstacles to your testing. Floor to ceiling mirrors and windows would be good. Also, coffee tables with half or 1 inch bars on the floors become "hump zones". Put a couch on an angle with a clearance from 3 to 5 inches, to give the robots plenty of chances to wedge in. Hang a bunch of clothes such that they droop a little down onto the floor, perhaps with some of them in those clear plastic dry cleaning bags. Tightly spaced barstools where they get confused by all the legs. Thick and thin carpets. Lots of different shoes with shoelaces. Carpets with tassels. All the vacuums these days perform well enough for cleaning, but having to service a robot that keeps getting lost or stuck is the big remaining frustration, and nobody seems to be doing a thorough job of testing these things.
Love seeing the new tests! Cant wait to see all the data. I've had a S7 MaxV Ultra for about a year now and it's one of the best investments I feel I've made as a homeowner.
I purchased the L10S Ultra after my Deebot T9+ died recently. I have to say I'm absolutely blown away by this thing. I live in a cluttered old farm house with dogs, kids, rabbit warren floor layout, the least robot friendly household. My Deebot constantly ate cables and got stuck under the couch. The auto empty feature was unusable because it blocked with hair/fluff even if used daily. After manually returning it to the base after a failure it would often fail to self locate and create a new map meaning I'd lose all customisation and have to delete maps or set them up from scratch. Nightmare. The L10S Ultra...It is yet to eat a cable or get stuck. I've noticed if it starts to get bogged climbing up some small steps we have, it will reverse back, straighten itself and hit it with speed to get up, crazy smart! We have a few levels in the house that require us to place it manually. I've set these parts of the house as separate maps. When it's required to self locate, it takes a wander around the room to take multiple samples unlike the Deebot, super intuitive! The vacuuming performance is what you'd expect from a high end unit but the mopping exceeded my expectations. I was initially concerned that a lack of built-in water tank (on the robot) but after seeing it work it makes a lot of sense. Adding water to the pad on the go (like the Deebot) tends to just rinse the pad onto the floor. The L10S strategy of rinse and repeat may take a little longer but it really does an amazing job. I also feel the rotary style mops will be a little more durable in the long run since it is basically just a drive motor on the robot side, no vibration mechanisms or pumps. The l10s dock is the same footprint as the Deebot dock despite having the mop cleaning, the roborock dock looks like a monster! There are many more little things that the L10S does well but I'd be writing an essay. highly recommend by a happy customer!
I have a L10s ultra and my experience is consistent with yours. The mop lifting is inadequate. I always do a vacuum only cycle first, switch to carpet avoidance, and then do a mopping cycle. I didn't have s7 MaxV, but I heard they don't have mop drying function and that their mop pad may smells bad after a few days. I can't verify any of that, but the drying function on L10s ultra is good enough and my mop pad doesn't smell after weeks of usage. I think that is something people should be aware of.
I've had S7 Maxv Ultra about two months. I change and wash the mop weekly and mop 2-3 times a week. No odors. Our floors are really clean now. It is near perfect system.
@@Greenthum6 All depend on how humid is your home, sometimes i forget to remove the mop from my ecovac t8 just within 1 day is smell bad. even Roboroc know this and fix it in t8 . that's why I reluctant to buy 1st gen product as they all have problem.
Looking forward to your review of the new flagship S8 Ultra :) Also did you know that there's a separate S7 Maxv Ultra drain/refil kit? refills the tank from a water source and drains wastewater automatically.
Double roller which improves hair pickup on carpets and a slight improvement on the sonic mop. The Ultra station now has a built in mop dryer. They dropped the camera system (thus I still prefer the S7 MaxV) but they may have an S8 MaxV in the pipeline. IMO (and shared by many in the forums) not worth the upgrade if your coming from an S7 MaxV.
@@Eagle-Striker double roller is the killer feature for me. i ditched my roborock a few years ago and got a roomba980 (twin roller) which thankfully fixed that tangled mess the roborock used to pickup and suffer from. i'll be jumping on the S8 as soon as it drops.
One thing to note would be maintenance: the Roborock Station has moving parts and is a Real hassle to clean and it's getting dirty fast, the dreame Station is way easier to clean, maybe you could consider this in your future Reviews. Thanks!
The biggest problem is S7 ultra dont have drying system by default, basically if you live in coastal area that humid that mop is a mold breading center.
Can you clarify the obstacle avoidance scoring please, as your explanation did not match the results. At 4:00 the Dreamtech scored much lower on individual results (11 vs 7) and did poorly for cloth and toys. But in the end you gave both robots nearly identical scores (8 vs 7). Thanks!
Once again it sad that you did not mention Roboroc don't have drying feature by standard , this is one of the most importance feature for robot mop in high humidity area even roboroc solve it in S8. one thing that you forget to mention L10s have dust sensor so it will empty itself if its the dust container full , other thing that also need to be consider is how easy the clean the base station and the maintenance cost.
I got my L10s after about 13 years of using iRobot 780 and what I have noticed is that suction power of iRobot was better. In small rooms with hard floors like kitchen-it is visible that after iRobot there is not a single crumb, while after L10s you can still notice it here and there. But l10s is no doubts easier to operate-you don’t need to remove wires and other stuff from the floor before cleaning.
My experience as well, I have an old 787 roomba and the amount of debris it consistently picks up as a dumb no navigation robot is astonishing. Much better than my other lidar robot. I just lock it up in a bedroom and close the door😂. I bought a J7 and braava mop based on the performance of my old roomba and so far they are a great duo. I feel braava mop is especially good and very close to real mopping result.
What about Maintenace of the auto-empty/dust bin and hair tangling? I have an S5 and while I do love the daily vacuuming, the thing that annoys me the most about it is the long hair getting caught up in the brush. I think I am going to pick between the Dreamebot L10 or the Q Revo since they're close in price right now.
Still have and love my Roborock S5 which I bought as a bit of a bargain. Nowadays Roborock seems to have got much of the credit they always deserved and their stuff has started to get a bit premium and Dreame seems to have picked up that value torch. It's great to see the two face off here. Despite rooting for the underdog that wet carpet thing is a bit of a red line.
Have had the s7 since their Black Friday sale last year and have been more than impressed ever since. Only gripes were how the auto dry module is a separate purchase, and why they haven't improved upon a bag-less option for the base.
As an extreme use case - White birch floors on the first floor, White epoxy floors in the basement, with a 200lbs black Great Dane... I own 2 Dreametech L10s' (on on each floor) and I will tell you it's a GAME CHANGER. I spot mop once a week and my floors look new all the time - thats it. Yes I would have gone Roborock but at the time the black system was all they offered was an eyesore in my mostly white home.
I am looking forward to your review of the Roborock S8. I have the 7 ultra and love it, but wonder if the improved features of the 8 warrant an upgrade
I love the approach that this channel takes towards reviewing, especially when it comes to robot vacs (which can be quite expensive). Though only time will tell how useful the new test data is, I have to commend the effort that must have been put into first designing and then running the new tests. On a different note, weren't we talking about auto-mop drying earlier this year around CES? I suppose we're still waiting for the models slated for release later this year to debut that feature?
Been running a L10s on our 1st floor for a couple weeks, been very happy with it so far. We may buy a second for the 2nd story. I'm also interested in how well the S8 Ultra does, but at nearly twice the price of the L10s, it better knock our socks off.
Hi there… Very in-depth review - I know you did a Roborock review a while ago. In your initial S7 review you mentioned about the wear and tear on the the robot and the durability of the build quality and parts. Particularly with the vibrating mop function.
Awesome review. But I would ask you to add one more thing for future testing and its alexa/google home/siri integration. I had s5max and loved to send it to specific room by voice. For example after cooking in the kitchen I wanted it to clean the mess. Roborocks can be send to specific room via voice, and dreame can only be asked to start its whole cleaning circle. For me it was actually important and thats why I just ordered s7 maxv.
Interesting but why no mention of the noise they make? The white station of the L10s is surely a plus compared to the black design of the S7's station too. Anyway, we all have our preferences.
Thank you so much for the really throughout test. Quick question: how is the maintenance ? How often do you have to clean it? I found the roborock watertank on the robot itself is really hard to clean and gets nasty really soon.
I’m a big fan of Roborock, I still have my S4. Looking to upgrade as I have two labs the shed everyday and it’s a pain to have to empty the small bin every 5 minutes
Dreametech in Aus charges $2.5k AUD for their L10s Ultra which is the same price as Roborock S7 MaxV, think in the US it's only $999 USD rrp. Day light robbery even considering 10%GST on top and the exchange rate
You forgot to mention that the Dreamy dries its mops by heat, which the other vacuum robot does not do. At the current price difference, the Dreamy is clearly the better choice for me.
I had the l10s ultra. You should compare the cleaning of the mopping pads and how big area the robot can mop in one run. The l10 does not clean the pads close to the center and it runs out of water after just 10-12m2
I think for the obstacle avoidance, you should weigh the animal waste more than other objects. If a vacuum doesn't avoid the animal waste it will ruin the robot but not avoiding a cloth isn't as bad.
You gave the roborock an 8 for obstacle avoidance test, and the dreamtech a 7. But on the video segment before, the scores for the roborock add up to 11 vs the 7 of the dreamtech. So seems roborock is a lot better than that segment portrays. Mistake?
The toys test the roborock wins 3-1 shows the l10s delicately avoiding obstacles while the roborock is attacking toys left and right and even picks one up and starts jousting with it.
I want to buy one of this robots and I have a doubt: can I choose if I want to use water or not? I may want to use only the vacuum and not the water sometimes. Or I have to remove the mops first?
How do the auto emptying systems handle tangled hair or fir on the brush? I have a dog with long fur and I'm worried to get a vacuum with auto emptying station as I need to clean the brush almost every run.
Have you looked at the S7 Pro Ultra? For someone with no pets, and in a country where it is nearly half the price of the MaxV, is it still a good buy? Thank you
I wonder how well Roborock base auto water refill and dirty water discharge add on works. This would make it even more no maintenance experience but I would have to redo my bathroom piping a bit.
Can you recommend a vacuum mop combo. but that bagless? Mostly because he’s vacuums are already expensive. Just one less thing I have to buy. Thank you
Based on this and other videos, I bought an L10s Ultra on prime day after having a Roborock S6 for three years. I just received it yesterday, but the app is much less intuitive than the Roborock app. I find it wants to clean the mop head even after being sent to rooms that only have carpet even after defining the rooms as carpet areas with floor type of "none"
Hi. Could you test these robots riding up a slope for the people who have elevation in their house and want to build a slope/ramp for them to climb on or off from. I have a set of 8 stairs in my livingroom connecting my kitchen at a minimum 35 degree angle the further i extend the lower the angle it needs to climb
During your "stain test" the robots make multiple passes over the same spot, can you do that during a normal clean? I have roborock s7 MaxV ultra because of this channel, but i cant get it do multiple passes. I have to set a zone and do multiple cleaning runs. Any tips?
I test both and indeed l10s is most cheaper but roborock cleaning station is most efficient (less cleaning and better for water consumption). S7 maxv with auto filling system is a true beast.
This is great, thank you! Do you know if the new S8 is coming out end of month? I've been waiting. I've never had a robo vacuum and have 2 golden puppies and am desperate!
The S7 has a lot of problems with getting the dust and debris into the bin. This is especially true when you have fine dog hairs that basically blocks the bin. We have a golden retriever and use the robot every single day. There are definitely room for improvement
Does anyone know what the VacuumWars top rated handheld vacuum is at the moment? I need to replace an aging Dyson and I'd rather go with an alternative manufacturer if possible. Cheers! :)
Hi there, will you do a comparison on the Roborock S8 Ultra Vs Dreame L20 with its edge cleanjng system. Id love to know which one performs better before buying but leaning towards the Dreame L20
We are looking at that one as well as a handful of new releases now, so the initial reviews will be coming out one at a time starting next week. Thank you for asking.
roborock don’t have an official store in the UK where Dreame does - so just for lowering the risk if I have a warranty issue I’d probably go with the L10s. Also their dock is huge and ugly - I’d go with the Q Revo as more a 1:1 comparison with the Dreame (but they don’t sell it here so its still a no go)
Great test, but I never understood how any robot always picks up everything in the "limited space debris test". When I run Roborock S7 at my home, it always, always, leaves an uncleaned/unmopped ~3cm patch right next to kitchen kickboard. Maybe something to tweak in the test and introduce kickboard-like environment, and test mopping, not just vacuuming there?
Your the place to go to for vacuums, and robots. you could ad an couple more scores to your tests. That’s the size of the bin systems less surface used the better, quality and feel of the material used, and a subjective one, esthetics.
This isn't new information, but I've had many Robot vacuums and the Roborocks have been by far the best at navigation in real-world conditions and the least likely to need assistance during their cleaning runs - so, an overall better experience than the likes of Roomba, Shark, Deebot, and Neato.
A years later 10/13/2024 the Dreametech L10S still mopping carpets. I had the Roborock before and it stop and lift it mopping pads before going onto a carpet. The Dreame just go on carpet then lift. the Dreame is worst for area rugs. it will mop that too

Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review!
Love the reviews, but I miss the finishing part. Does the mopping system leave stripes on the floor or is everything cleaned perfectly?
Hi there…
Very in-depth review - I know you did a Roborock review a while ago. In your initial S7 review you mentioned about the wear and tear on the the robot and the durability of the build quality and parts. Particularly with the vibrating mop function.
FINALLY! i was waiting for a comparision :D
Really dreamy cannot? even my rubbish navigation system ecovac t8 can, I assume they should can do it to
Another great video thank you. I’m eagerly awaiting your video on the roboroc s8 ultra
We are waiting for the release too and are excited to check it out! Thank you!
Our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review drops tomorrow at 4PM EST!
Interesting but why no mention of the noise they make? The white station of the L10s is surely a plus compared to the black design of the S7's station too. Anyway, we all have our preferences.
What about l10s vs q revo?
Thank you so much for the really throughout test. Quick question: how is the maintenance ? How often do you have to clean it? I found the roborock watertank on the robot itself is really hard to clean and gets nasty really soon.
Still looking for a robot vacuum that can identify mirrors. And not get all messed up with the navigation. Or room settings.
I’m a big fan of Roborock, I still have my S4. Looking to upgrade as I have two labs the shed everyday and it’s a pain to have to empty the small bin every 5 minutes
Hi, which is better at night and less noisy?
I was very tempted to buy L10, but think I will wait for one more month to see if s8 pro ultra will be available.
Our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review drops tomorrow at 4PM EST!
Dreametech in Aus charges $2.5k AUD for their L10s Ultra which is the same price as Roborock S7 MaxV, think in the US it's only $999 USD rrp. Day light robbery even considering 10%GST on top and the exchange rate
both are probably from China also.
You forgot to mention that the Dreamy dries its mops by heat, which the other vacuum robot does not do. At the current price difference, the Dreamy is clearly the better choice for me.
Thank you ! Now I need to decide s7 maxV with dryer module or G10s pro with dryer and pluming or wait for a S8 version with both .. 😔
We hope our videos help you choose!
I had the l10s ultra. You should compare the cleaning of the mopping pads and how big area the robot can mop in one run.
The l10 does not clean the pads close to the center and it runs out of water after just 10-12m2
What are your thoughts about the L10S camera and privacy? Is that a concern?
Can't wait for the dual brush designs from the manufacturers. Any clue why the spinning brush design failed on carpets?
I think for the obstacle avoidance, you should weigh the animal waste more than other objects. If a vacuum doesn't avoid the animal waste it will ruin the robot but not avoiding a cloth isn't as bad.
I would also like to see a random cable as object. My neato D7 eat them like I eat cakes
Clean after your pet. Don't be a pig
Currently on a Roborock S4 max, waiting for the review for the S8 to decide if its time to upgrade or buy an s7 for cheap
I think it's worth noting that both the products are from the exact same parent company.
Xiaomi owns both dreame and roborock! ✌️
Volkswagen owns Porsche, Audi and many more, so what? Or GM owns bunch of car brands...
@@smiert13 what's ur point mate
I want to buy one of this robots and I have a doubt:
can I choose if I want to use water or not? I may want to use only the vacuum and not the water sometimes. Or I have to remove the mops first?
What is the front brush on Dreame robot rubbing against the wheel? seems like design flaw.
How do the auto emptying systems handle tangled hair or fir on the brush? I have a dog with long fur and I'm worried to get a vacuum with auto emptying station as I need to clean the brush almost every run.
Do you have a separate review for the DreameBot L10s Ultra?
I have a Dreame W10 already and only use it for mopping. Worth the upgrade to L10S Ultra only for mopping?
Love the review, but I have a question/request: Is the Eufy HomeVac H30 worth it?
There's a ~usd250 difference in price here. I'm going to try the dreame. Fingers crossed
You won't regret it and you won't have missed a thing
Have you looked at the S7 Pro Ultra? For someone with no pets, and in a country where it is nearly half the price of the MaxV, is it still a good buy? Thank you
I wonder how well Roborock base auto water refill and dirty water discharge add on works. This would make it even more no maintenance experience but I would have to redo my bathroom piping a bit.
Can you recommend a vacuum mop combo. but that bagless? Mostly because he’s vacuums are already expensive. Just one less thing I have to buy. Thank you
Any hope to see reviews about the Dreame W10 pro and deebot X1 Turbo?
Based on this and other videos, I bought an L10s Ultra on prime day after having a Roborock S6 for three years. I just received it yesterday, but the app is much less intuitive than the Roborock app. I find it wants to clean the mop head even after being sent to rooms that only have carpet even after defining the rooms as carpet areas with floor type of "none"
I'd really like to see the Narwhal Freo tested. I don't think he ever did the T10 did he? I wonder why?
Have you seen a robot vac available in the US that can empty into a central vac? Do you know which one would be best to try and modify for this?
id be curious how it does on Faux Fur Rug. also waiting on the s8 to see if its worth it
Can you please please please add a rating for performance on high pile carpet?
During your "stain test" the robots make multiple passes over the same spot, can you do that during a normal clean? I have roborock s7 MaxV ultra because of this channel, but i cant get it do multiple passes. I have to set a zone and do multiple cleaning runs. Any tips?
Any plans on testing the Shark 2-in-1? :] Eagerly hoping!
We can't make any promises right now, but thank you for that suggestion.
Are you going to compare this to the new shark 2 in 1 vac/mop?
Can we expect Xiaomi Mijia Omni review? I wonder how it compares, looks very promising at that price point
The L10S also branded as Mi?
I test both and indeed l10s is most cheaper but roborock cleaning station is most efficient (less cleaning and better for water consumption). S7 maxv with auto filling system is a true beast.
Excellent summary
Thank you!
The Dreame is now almost half the price of the Roborock. Easy choice.
And if you don't need the camera, the normal l10 Ultra (non-s version) is $399 at Walmart.
This is great, thank you! Do you know if the new S8 is coming out end of month? I've been waiting. I've never had a robo vacuum and have 2 golden puppies and am desperate!
Our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review drops tomorrow at 4PM EST!
Cheers! :)
Can you do a review on the mach 1 ultra vacuum mop?
Please put the two against the S8 pro ultra, thanks!
Our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review drops tomorrow at 4PM EST!
Holy shit this guys is a vacuum tech company’s worst nightmare using s FLIR imager to see if the robot is lifting up it’s mopping pad soon enough 🤣💀
im thinking about buying a s9 or a j7 but the s9 only costs 499 and the j7 440 wich sould i buy?
Considering the robots height is a valuable addition due to navigating under furniture. Lower the better imho
Hi there, will you do a comparison on the Roborock S8 Ultra Vs Dreame L20 with its edge cleanjng system. Id love to know which one performs better before buying but leaning towards the Dreame L20
Great suggestion! Thanks!
We are looking at handful of new releases now, so the initial reviews will be coming out one at a time starting next week. Thank you for asking.
@@VacuumWarsOh please please review the Dreame L20 Ultra!! I just ordered it. Oh dear. 🙈
It won our Best Robot Vacuum of 2023 capetition, and our individual review comes out today at 4pm EST! Thank you for asking!
@@VacuumWarsthe L20 ULTRA won?
Will you be reviewing the L20 Ultra vs. the S8 Ultra?
We are looking at that one as well as a handful of new releases now, so the initial reviews will be coming out one at a time starting next week. Thank you for asking.
The L20 won our Best Robot Vacuum of 2023 competition, and our individual review comes out today at 4pm EST! Thank you for asking!
Dreame dose have camera ?
roborock don’t have an official store in the UK where Dreame does - so just for lowering the risk if I have a warranty issue I’d probably go with the L10s.
Waiting for the Roborock S8 review. About time now. Don’t you think?
We haven't received our order yet. Hopefully soon! Thank you!
We got it! Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for that review!
@@VacuumWars nice!
Your the place to go to for vacuums, and robots. you could ad an couple more scores to your tests. That’s the size of the bin systems less surface used the better, quality and feel of the material used, and a subjective one, esthetics.
Can you do a test video about roborock pro ultra?
When are you going to do a review of the roborock S8 pro ultra???
We have to wait for the release in the US!
Our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra review comes out tomorrow at 4PM EST!
This isn't new information, but I've had many Robot vacuums and the Roborocks have been by far the best at navigation in real-world conditions and the least likely to need assistance during their cleaning runs - so, an overall better experience than the likes of Roomba, Shark, Deebot, and Neato.
Hi vacuum wars this week I'm going to the Dyson factory for a tour
In UK?😊
Enjoy!
No not in the UK there one in Chicago Illinois
No not in the UK there one in Chicago Illinois
No not in the UK there one in Chicago Illinois
If you have S7, then get the bristle brush instead of the rubber one for carpets!
Roborock has a new flagship right around the corner, correct? I assume just wait for that one.
They do!
You got the new roborock S8 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop?
We are still waiting for ours.
We got it! Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for the review!
Thank you for your work ! I love your channel
That is great to hear! Thanks!
A years later 10/13/2024 the Dreametech L10S still mopping carpets. I had the Roborock before and it stop and lift it mopping pads before going onto a carpet. The Dreame just go on carpet then lift. the Dreame is worst for area rugs. it will mop that too
Will you be testing the S8 Pro Ultra?
