Roborock hands down! The mop lift function makes it completely hands off vs having to remove and add the pads or just vacuuming or mopping. They have the dryer function as well, it’s just an add on.
@@wildone3c The L10S also lifts its mop pads, so equal to Roborock on that one. And L10S includes a heated dryer with the vacuum, Roborock charges extra for the dryer, so that's a win for DreameTech. Both seem great, but the L10S has the slight edge at this point in time.
Wonderful review, thanks for your effort @Tech4All. Particularly liked the fact that it has (1) rubber brush to avoid hair tangles, (2) auto drying mops to avoid bad odors, (3) floor cleaning solution to leave some good smell post mopping. Most of the consumers does not know about the parent company and that's how they are cluttering the market with their products. But as a consumer, I believe we should only care about how well their products are doing.
Definitely the best robot cleaner on the market, just strange they are yet again not releasing the Pro version, with the addition of auto fill and empty base station, so you don't even have to remember to fill and empty it other than replacing dust bag, outside of China.... Does it have the ports on the back of the station to retrofit the auto fil/empty unit? It is also funny seeing the one factory making multiple units under different brand names (X1, L10s, T10), these are all Xiaomi made units, even stranger they dropped the Xiaomi DreameBot brand name on the latest release and just market under "Dreame"...
Very good points! I also am wondering why Xiaomi have so many brands... Dreame, Viomi, Roborock, etc. But this seems to give them a pretty good choice about selecting whatever they use for their "Xiaomi" brand.
Still waiting for the L10S Ultra to be launched in Australia However so far both Dreametech Australia and Dreametech International have been unclear or unresponsive about its release p.s. to my understanding Xiaomi has sold Roborock a few years ago and it is its own brand and has even had a few different subsidy owners
@@PeterKnagge The issue is China, they don't wish to release the items connected to mains water without a professional installation service to go with it (free install in china cities). Why they care about westerners stuffing up the install is beyond me....
Great Video.. You mention it can get over thresholds up to 2 cm.. I have a threshold that is 2,3cm but it has a bevel - do you think this DreameBot can make it up and down? The iRobot i3 does it with no problems but I had a Braava Jet M6 which didn't make it :/
If you mean - Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, I'd say the Roborock is a little smarter, especially about mapping. The rest is comparable. The Roborock can operate with a 9-kg baby sitting on top of it. I couldn't make the same test with the Dreame though 🤣
What are your thoughts about the camera and privacy? You mentioned putting a tape on it but I believe the robot would not work as intended. During my research I saw that some companies stepped back and removed the cameras but now it seems they are coming back, as we can on the roborock’s new vacuums. Do you feel comfortable with the camera on the L10S?
I do. There are a few terms you need to read and accept. To get the certification in EU these devices undergo serious checks, so I doubt anyone from Xiaomi/Dreame would somehow use it for bad purposes.
TY for the review! IMO another drawback, and dealbreaker IMO, is the water tank in the robot itself is not removable- only the dock one is. That means there’s no way to really clean it and it’s inevitable it will get all moldy and gross and be spreading that water on our floors. Unless there’s something I’m missing where we can get soap and hot water into it?
You don't have to worry, the internal tank won't fill with water anyway.. Many people have problems with this, including me. Resulting in dry mopping. Dreame should be well aware of this problem by now, but doesn't seem to care.
Great review mate, How does it do on tiled floor ? Especially on Glossy tiles, we have large glossy tiles across the house and I am concerned about mop leaving water stains on tiles.
