Amazing review! I spent all day researching, reading articles, reddit, vacuum wars, and your video was what I was missing! Such great quality from a smaller channel - really appreciate the work you're putting in and hope you get the recognition you deserve. Like I said, I left vacuum wars indecisive, and really appreciate your thorough approach. Going with the L10s for the object avoidance and the fact that it's actually the cheaper of the two right now (at $629).
@@jamie.andrewshi, I am looking to get the 10s since it is so cheap right now. However, I am concerned about the mopping performance and mop pad cleaning. Can you please let me know how many times the pads were used to be that dirty after being cleaned. Also, was the water for the mop pad cleaning on its highest setting. I really appreciate your help and video. There is currently a $56 difference between the a Revo and l10s. The l10s ultra being a little cheaper. Thank you
@@Jagster7k Lordy I made this video a year ago. I can't begin to tell you how many times it was used. Not enough for them to be dirty that is for sure and the Revo does not have this issue. Yes I always use the highest water setting when cleaning the mops. There is a chance they have fixed it by now too. While the Dreame has more features Roborock has better quality.
I have actually owned both of these and I totally agree with Jamie. They perform very similar except for obstacle avoidance. I like to clear my floor before cleaning so for me it is not a problem. The only negative thing I have to say about the L10s is that there is much harder in my country to find spare parts. Roborock leads that category by a landslide. Maybe it will get better for Dreame in the next couple years.
thank you for this review. The hot sauce mop test plus the cleanliness of the mop pad sold me on the q-revo so I clicked your link before purchase. Thank you for your much needed value added. Now if my wife asks me why I picked this one I can point her to your video.
Jamie - appreciate your support I am very much leaning towards the Q Revo because 1)I am in Canada and Dreame does not have a Canadian web site but uses Amazon 2)Replacement part are more readily available for the Roborock at a much better price point 3) I called Dreame customer support and asked about service and found the reply to be weak and passive stating only that they would so the best to resolve any issues 4) The QRevo will be available for 999.00 20 Nov for black Friday - Dreame does not appear to have any upcoming deals . I do like the Dreame but to many cons right now for me to get one
Totally understand your points. You should see some of the replies I get from them. I got one from Ecovacs telling me I should reboot my router to help with a navigarion quirk. Lol. None of my other fleet of vacuums need rebooting of the router. Best of luck to you!
@@jamie.andrews regarding the cleaning solution to use it with the dreame, do you use the one they sell? The reason I ask is because I have the OMO roborock cleaning solution and I was wondering if that would be ok to be used with the dreame once the solution they provide is over.
This was a really great comparison and far more informative than the individual reviews I’ve seen so just wanted to comment and say thanks because great work work should be acknowledged 👏
I literally just ordered the L10S when I opened RUclips and saw you had just released this comparison video. I was in doubt whether I should choose the Q Revo or the L10S, so your timing on this video couldn't have been better for me, as your video confirmed my decision and now I can test easily knowing I made the right choice. Although it seems one can't go wrong with either of these, they both seem really impressive. Thanks a lot for the video!
Oh yes!!! Great Sunday night viewing Jamie. A great head to head there. Looking forward to the review of the L20 Ultra...it seems like it has pretty much ticked every box going (minus hot water washing of the pads)
I received the Dreametech L10s today. It set up easily and had no trouble connecting to the internet. It mapped my house with no errors and was pretty quiet. But in the middle of mapping, it announced it's battery was running low and needed to return to the charging station. No matter how much it tried, it could not connect to the charging station, even when I moved it. It was unable to connect when I placed it manually. Apparently, it has to do it by itself. I spent hours on this and finally gave up. Sending back.
Yes you should make sure the robot is fully charged before sending it out to map. Every robot you buy will need to complete a mapping by returning on its own to the base. If you interrupt the process it will fail. Again the goes for all robots that map and is not unique to Dreame.
This was an amazing comparison, thank you very much. Sadly, I still don't know which one to choose. I'll probably go for Q Revo because it mops better, at least according to your test.
Great video Jamie. I honestly thought they would be the same robot just under a different name but from your video it is clear they are VERY different robots!
Great suggestions. I don't have the data for most of that stuff. I would say the cost of maintenance is similar. As far as replacement parts that will depend on where you source them from.
One week into ownership, the Q Revo is truly amazing. Are there more expensive models that might be a little better? Probably, but the Q Revo can hold it's own at a fraction of the price. We bought direct from Roborock for 680-10% military discount, total cost $612. Much to our surprise it successfully avoided a folded blanket we forgot to pick up, so while it's obstacle avoidance might not match models costing twice the price, it's fine if you pick up cords and such. On the plus side, it does not touch, bump, or markup walls or furniture. We even have Christmas decorations out that it successfully avoids. None of our previous Roombas or Deebots could do that. Q Revo for the win for us.
Nice.. just bought the l10s Ultra for $399 refurb'd on Dreame's Ebay page. Gonna be nice having something to clean up after my cats. I can't believe they still have hair with as much as they shed.
Has the Q Revo gotten any better at object avoidance since you made this video (only so much a firmware upgrade can probably do given the hardware limitation)? After watching your video I think I like it more overall, but the object detection does seem pretty meh compared to the L10s and I like the idea of scheduled cleaning working fine even if my apartment isn't spotless. Thanks!
Great video! Thanks! This is exactly what I needed as I am trying to decide between these 2 robots. Looks to be a very tough choice. I am still undecided myself. In my area they're going at the same price (20 EUR difference). To me the Q Revo looks like a better robot overall (better cleaning, better navigation, better app and support). The trump card of the L10s is the much better obstacle avoidance. Having young kids in the house that sounds like it would be very helpful, although I am coming form a robot with LIDAR only and it has been fine as long as we do a quick cleanup before starting it. Better obstacle avoidance would make it more 'hands off' for sure.
A possible point in favor of the Roborock is that I can source consumables and parts locally. Not so for Dreame. Would need to rely exclusively on online shops and pay shipping.
It really does come down to object avoidance which I think tends to be overrated for people like me and you who prep before the robot runs. Object avoidance is not perfect. Thanks for watching.
Useful video, thank you. I wonder why it's a benefit for the Dreame to have the soap, if the Dreame doesn't mop as well as the Revo and it retains dirt on the mop head.
Great review! Very helpful! I've been patiently waiting many, many years for an affordable & efficient mopping robot vacuum. These look very similar, even the apps and both are a great value. They are also both similarly priced for Black Friday right now, so debating which one to go with. I am leaning towards the Revo though because their app is proven, you can buy spare parts pretty easily & the company has been around for a while now, seems to self-clean the pads better, the pause time to lift up the mop pads before hitting carpet, and the removable dock/easier maintenance (looks like there is already grime buildup on the L10 base) is a huge plus for me. Also, I already have an older Roborock vacuum which I plan to move upstairs since it's all carpet, so I'd only need to use one app. Hopefully the obstacle avoidance on the Q will get better with firmware updates - that seems to be the main issue with the Q Revo which isn't a big deal for me as I clean up anyway.
literally my exact same thoughts just ordered the revo I am upgrading from a j7 plus for my mom and I was a little bummed out to hear about the not so great obstacle avoidance issue but that's the only thing that was holding me back and yes I have hopes that the software will be upgraded and I have more confidence in my decision choosing a brand that clearly has allot more users then the dreame and more good reviews but that new s20 looks way to cool ngl
It all comes down to obstacle avoidance. The Q Revo has a very basic system that will never be as good as the L10s regardless of firmware updates. If obstacle avoidance is not that important then the Q Revo is a great choice for the reason you listed.
Thanks for the review! I ended up grabbing the Q Revo because of the sale price at 699 and I really liked the pull out tray cleanup design. The l10s ultra was very close but not for 100 more in my eyes.
I am considering the Q Revo but I am a little disappointed there isn't a spot cleaning option on the vaccum itself. I really enjoy that feature on my S5.
If you hold the Dock/Home button for at least 3 seconds it will go in to Spot Cleaning mode. So technically there is a button that does do this. If you briefly press the Dock button, it will go back to its dock.
I was totally set on buying the Dreame L10s ultra, until I thought about how uncomfortable I would feel, knowing that my vacuum has a camera that sends the images to some server. I am a bit too scared of it getting hacked or something, so I actively looked for something without a normal camera and went for the Q Revo instead. Since it's my first robot vacuum, I don't now yet how important obstacle avoidance is going to be for me, I hope the Roborock won't be an issue for me there.
Your previous L10s Ultra review showed it was collecting cables just like the Q Revo, but in this video, it seems to have done a good job at avoiding all obstacles ??
Glad i saw this comment because I just also saw a video by the hook up and it showed the L10s being pretty poor at OA...glad to hear firmware update made a difference because now will for sure get a L10s...
thanks I think im going to go with the roborock It seems like the newer robots they have been pushing out have had allot of positive feedback vs the newer Roombas, getting the protection plan for 2 years hoping ill never have to use it, dreame doesn't have enough feedback for me to feel comfortable buying its still has allot but the roborock has more then double the users which is actually a big deal if you think about it, more cashflow to them and better updates with the app meaning that the object detection can get better it doesn't seem to have been out a whole year yet and it took the Roomba j7 plus a good 2 years to really upgrade their object detection so im hopeful on that part, considering this is a gift upgrade for my mom and she likes to have the loading base on the carpet keeping the mop bushes off the ground is a need she just got her hardwood floors redone and she is super paranoid about letting the robot do it and malfunctioning and leaking water or something so hopefully this little guy can convince her otherwise and stay reliable
thanks for the content! can anyone comment if the detergent tank is required to be present for the l10s to function? for most regular usage i'd prefer to only use water, only using detergent periodically. the detergent tank is nice for the reasons stated in the video and comments, but i'm not a fan of having another disposable plastic bottle to toss out and replace every so often.
Hi, I need help which vacuum cleaner would you choose? Roborock q revo, xiaomi robot x20+, dreame L10s ultra, ecovacs deebot x1 omni? I have dogs and a lot of floors, thank you
I have not reviewed the X20+, but the reviews for the Ecovacs X1 and L10s Ultra are on my channel. I listed the pros and cons for each so viewers can decide what suits their needs.
L10S Ultra was $649 during prime day vs $699 for Q Revo. Second prime day and black Friday are coming up, so likely the same pricing again if you can wait
Hello. In my country the price is almost the same (Dreame only a little cheaper). However, I can't decide which one to choose. What I care about most is thorough cleaning and mopping, as well as a lower failure rate for the brand. Can someone help me choose?
Again, fantastic comparision! Now is the time i reall wanna buy one of these. Tending towards the QRevo, since i dont need avoidance. Have you planned a review for the L20 Ultra soon? That looks really innovative.
Damn, this is hard. The Q revo is 50 bucks less than the L10S... I wonder if the L20 is worth the 300 euro more compared to the Q revo/L10s damn, dunno which one to get
My L20 review will be out in a few weeks, but I am not sure I would compare it to the Q Revo as it is almost twice the price and has many more options.
I never do to keep things fair as some detergents may clean better than others and some manufactures do not include detergent in the box with the robot.
No. That tends to have more to do with different water conditions. Some people use a silver ion block to help. ruclips.net/user/shortswHcVeXudPbY?si=X0nqIPopaW1YFfzo
Do the vacuums lift the mops up high enough so that carpets don't get wet? It sounds really good in theory but does it work irl. Dreaming about the Dreame L20 but man it's expensive.
Entirely depends on the thickness of the carpets. I would say both of these are good for low to medium pile carpet and while the medium pile carpet gets a tad wet it should dry fast. You can also set the QRevo to vacuum carpets first and then vacuum mop the floors. With that said the Dreame L20 and X30 eliminate the issue which is huge.
@@jamie.andrews Which one would you get if the price was the same? The L10S ultra is on sale and actually about 30$ less than the q revo where I live. A total of 760$ for the Dreame.
Lately i have seen, that after the L20 Ultra there is also a new Model called "X20 Pro" in the makings. There are already some reviews from Asia out there, but do you know where the X Series sits in the Dreame Product Family? Will it be a new flagship, or rather a lite version of the L20 Ultra? What are your thoughts on that ?
I do not have any official information on it, but I can tell you that it will be a good ways off and the US market does not always get the same things as the oversees market and if they do it is much later and different. I am aware of a model after the L20 coming to the US, but it is not an "X" model.
And this immidiatly describes the 'problem' I have with the Dreame as a producer. They spit out new versions on a monthly basis. There is no way you can keep up as a consumer let alone a reviewer. L10. was replaced by L20, then L30 popped up, that is already gone and likely renamed to X30, which is already out of stock, now there is X40 all within 6 months. Now L20Ultra is available again on Amazon. What to compare? I wish they kept is simple to like 4 basic models to cover all price ranges and have a year or subnumer X41, X42.. attached to it to have some kind of versioning in these 4 basemodels.
You forgot to mention the L10S has clean, pause and home buttons located on the dock and can be used to manually clean the dock when needed. The Revos dock doesn't have that feature. I have 5he L10s Ultra and love it. I also preorderd the L20 Ultra that comes out later this month to use downstairs where I have primarily hardwood floors. Can't wait to get that one!
Yea I though about putting that in there, but they both have that function. The Q Revo actually does have dock buttons, just not on the dock itself. If you press the home button on the robot while docked it will start an auto empty and if you long press it will start a mop washing. There is no real need to fill the dock on the Q Revo with water since the tray is removable. They are both great robots. Glad to hear you like the L10s.
So does the L10s Ultra have the 2-way video now? I'm bouncing between the L10s Ultra and the L20 Ultra. If there are no huge advantages on the L20 Ultra, I might pull the trigger on the older model.
Yes the L10s has 2 way video as long as you use the Dreame Home app and not the MI home app. There are several differences between the L10s and the L20. I will have a video out on those shortly.
@@jamie.andrews thanks for the info, I also found out that it's video only, no audio. The L10s Ultra is currently 300 € less than the L20 Ultra, but just week ago it was 400 € less. For 2/3 of the price it would have been a no-brainer, but I missed the sale. Also sound levels between the devices and in different modes are quite important, the first impression for me is that the L20 Ultra is significantly louder compared to the L10s Ultra, which would be a shame, as I quite often vacuum when we are at home. Therefore lower suction powers and their sound levels are important, and whether the robot performs as good on those lower air flow modes as the maximum suction modes. Eager for your review. 👌🏻
Not really following what the deal is with the detergent dispenser on the L10S? Just add some detergent and it will mix a little by itself? I'm a huge roborock fan.. but after watching your video I'm leaning toward the L10S because it's exactly the same price as the Revo where I live. Great video. Helped me alot. Thank you!
It is a big deal for me in these ways. 1. I prefer to add hot water when sending my robot out to mop and with other vacuums it means I can't unless the tank is empty (Rarely) or I decide to pour out the old water that also has $$ detergent in it. 2. I prefer not to worry about premixing detergent to the correct levels. 3. Some people complain adding detergent to the water tank caused buildup inside the clean water tank. That is not good for the internal plumbing or the mop. Hope this helps.
On the L10s, Do the mopping pads spin as it backs into the dock the same way they Deebot T20 does? Ive seen a few videos which seem to show it doing it but havent been able to find out for sure
@jamie.andrews thanks. The bugs with the T20 have got me at the point where I want to replace it but the choice in the UK is limited so its between the L10s and the s7 max ultra and I'm liking to obstacle avoidance on the L10s
Hi Jamie, could I trouble you to double check if the pads spin as it backs up and if it lowers them. I watched another video today and theirs was doing it, I'm just wondering if it's something that's changed with firmware updates
I'm not sure the object avoidance in the L10S is "better". In your test, it avoided everything, sure. But it also didn't clean much of the carpet. The Revo hit just about every object, but at least the floor is cleaner. So if the object is very light, like your objects, I agree the L10S is better because it doesn't drag things all over and get caught up. But if the objects are fairly heavy, the Revo will try each angle and clean up close, and end up cleaning more of the floor. So either may be better in certain situations. The other thing I noticed is in the hot sauce test, yes both sides were clear of spots. But the L20S side was noticeably oranger than the Revo side. At their current price points, which are so similar, it's difficult to pick a clear winner. But thanks for your details so people can see which features matter more to them.
Thanks for a very detailed review. What would you recommended for a small apartment with one cat (long hair), no carpets (one small bathmat), wood and tile floor? Does the L10s miss the second side brush?
I don't really use customer support since I have a back channel relationship with all of the companies so I do not know the answer to your question. I suspect iRobot and Roborock would come out on top.
Thanks - I am looking to buy a Q Revo or a Dreame L10S ultra This to replace an older Irobot that has worked fairly well - so I would ask - what would you do (these are expensive so I do not want to make a mistake)- I would not consider an Irobot- Much appreciate you input and your videos- PS - I have read that Roborock and Dreame are the same company????@@jamie.andrews
If you are relying on the obstacle avoidance of the Dreame L10s, then watch this video. Not only does it not work but the Robot navigates like a drunken sailor and takes much longer to do the same job as my old Roborock S5 and hence uses more battery. I sent it back. I would like future reviews to also include a battery usage test as having to recharge mid clean takes significant time. ruclips.net/video/NcOaYa39mVo/видео.html
Wow that does not look right as that is not how mine behaves. I will say that a robot with obstacle avoidance will use more battery. They take longer to navigate around obstacles. If you pick up before your robot leaves the dock it should not matter too much. Second is you could schedule a robot to do a few rooms at a time which is what I do. I recently updated the firmware and noticed obstacle avoidance improved a bit for mine. What firmware are you on? Testing too provide run time for a robot is a very hard thing to do for the following reasons. 1. The vacuum speed, carpet boost, mopping settings all drastically impact the battery in a different way depending on how the end user uses the robot based on their setting in the app. Someone with all carpet will use more battery than all hardwood floors for example, but most people have some sort of mixed environment. Second the layout and complexity of the house (as you notice it takes longer to navigate around objects) also impacts battery life fairly drastically. I tend to shy away from these types of tests as they very rarely align with real world usage.
@@jamie.andrews Hi Jamie, thanks for your reply. As I no longer have the robot, I cant say what the f/w version was, however it said I had the latest at the time which was only a few weeks back. I understand what you are saying about the difficulty of measuring battery life. They are directly proportional to suction power, mop on/off, robot speed and how good the navigation is. Perhaps an overall time to navigate a typical room would be better. I feel that the manufacturers have "bolted on" obstacle avoidance to a generic navigation program and that's part of the problem. Also, I dont think the hardware they are using for obstacle avoidance is quite up to the task yet. Perhaps it will take another generation of hardware and some tighter integration with the navigation software to improve the overall time. I have an old S5 that takes 41 mins to vacuum my lounge which is 38 square meters. The L10s took 59 minutes to do the exact same room.
Working on it. They have needed to fix some things. It is not quite ready for the masses just yet. Other people on RUclips will be quick to slam out a review for veiws, but I don't work that way.
@@jamie.andrewsI assume it is worse than L10S Ultra? Weird that it's not improved. I assume that they will fix it in software updates but sounds really bad for now.
I think it is because of the design of the pads more than the dock, but I need to test to be certain. I figured this comment would show up when I was editing the video. That was the only downside to the L10s dock. The Q Revo lacks detergent injection, goes through more water and has a smaller dustbag and an inferior auto empty system compared to the dual airflow on the L10.
As the Q Revo goes through more water, do you recon it cleans better as well? Or do you recon it's just the cleaning of the pads. Long term there could be a difference? @@jamie.andrews
@@fthorsen I do think it cleans better, but I am not sure if it is because of the water or the difference in the pads. I need to do more research here.
@@fthorsen I have owned both robots and in my opinion the Q Revo mops better than my previous L10s. If that means more water is used, I guess thats a trade-off worth living with.
So I just got the L10s Ultra and I noticed a bug. When creating a "no mop zone", you'd assume that it should be able to vacuum over the zone during a vacuum only task but not mop. It turns out that if u set a vacuum only schedule, it will treat it as a no go zone. But if you manually send the robovacuum to vacuum (no mop) the room, it vacuums over the no mop zone fine. I've been back and forth with dreame and all their solutions seem to be impractical...e.g manually remove the mop pads if u want it to just vacuum etc...
I'm honestly considering returning the unit and going for the roborock. This feature is important because I want to be able to schedule a vacuum task before mopping so that it doesn't have to vacuum over my carpet with a wet pad. Lifting the pad is not good enough as it doesn't go high enough.
I solved the problem by splitting and merging the room to create a separate room in the middle. After bit of googling, it turns out the q revo has the exact same issue and it's actually done by design to prevent wet pads going over no mop zones accidentaly. Still doesn't make that much sense to me but I can live with this work around.
That model did not exist when I made this video last year and as of now I still don't have one to review. Price wise these two are much closer as well.
Ohh sorry... my bad. I forgot this video is quite old. Jamie, care to make a video comparison of Q Revo and Dreame L10 (non S) version? Thank you. And last but not least, I'd like to say your comparison is very thorough, especially the water consumption table, it's well observed. Well done, keep up!
I see, thanks for the clarification. Regarding the water consumption level for washing the mop set by the app like you've tested on this comparison video, is it the same for all the robots from any brands? I mean the settings of the washing mode we set on the app only affect during in the middle of mopping. The beginning and the end of the mop washing have their own presets water consumption from each manufacturers and do not affected by the setting from the app?
I’ve had the Q Revo for a couple of months now and it’s amazing. No issues from it at all and Roborock has the superior app and navigation. One thing I miss is room sequencing in the app (room cleaning order). I actually had that feature on my Roborock S4, but I hear there are some patent issues or something around adding that feature now. Other than that I have no complaints. I say get the Q Revo as the software, replacement part availability in the U.S., and app are just overall better. I’ve seen a 3-4 firmware updates in 2 months of ownership.
I have been using a Q revo for over a month now, and it's meh at best. Yes it vacuums and cleans well, in ideal condition. However, I have major pain points in my daily use : - Emptying the dustbin fails most of the time ! I have a fairly large cleaning area (the robot says 190m square) and use it daily. But still, I now have it setup to go the station after every room and even then it fails to empty its dust bin. It's just poorly designed and I'm already tired of going to the dock to unstuck it - The app is a pain to use if you have more than 1 floor. Really it's not meant for that AT ALL - The app is often slow or unresponsive when you try to load a map. And even the map you just had selected has to reloaded each time you want to control the robot. I often have to try 2 or 3 times - There is a 5-10cm area along the walls that it just won't clean. It cannot reach it, another major design flaw imo
As of FEB 2024 The Dreame is $649 [with -50 clip cupon] The QRevo is $769 [with -130 clip cupon] on amazon. Now the question, is the QRevo a better buy costing $120 bucks more?
@@jamie.andrews yes, but i don't roam my phone around the house daily to my kitchen, to my toilet, everywhere with my phone. besides, im using Apple only iphones which is tough to hack.

Although it seems one can't go wrong with either of these, they both seem really impressive.
Thanks a lot for the video!
Glad to hear I could help you out!
You could have waited L20S Ultra , just couple weeks :)
@@jpthsd Its more expensive and i heard that its dock's water distribution system wont be supplied within a box, which is weird imo
Oh yes!!! Great Sunday night viewing Jamie. A great head to head there. Looking forward to the review of the L20 Ultra...it seems like it has pretty much ticked every box going (minus hot water washing of the pads)
Thanks! I'm excited for the L20!
Both are great robots.
Great video Jamie. I honestly thought they would be the same robot just under a different name but from your video it is clear they are VERY different robots!
I hear that they are the same robot under the covers over and over from people and they really are not at all.
Just picked up a Q revo refurbished 375.00! Great price!
Wow congrats
Great comparison. What about cost of maintenance , replacement parts like mobs and brushes, and warranty / repairs / customer service?
Great suggestions. I don't have the data for most of that stuff. I would say the cost of maintenance is similar. As far as replacement parts that will depend on where you source them from.
thx for the review, Good job
Thanks for watching!
This is what I need. Tks for this video
Hello help what better buy xiaomi x10+ vs Roborock Q Revo vs dreame l10s ultra???
The long hair pet comment sold the Dreame that is a major concern for my household
Nice.. just bought the l10s Ultra for $399 refurb'd on Dreame's Ebay page. Gonna be nice having something to clean up after my cats. I can't believe they still have hair with as much as they shed.
Enjoy it
Has the Q Revo gotten any better at object avoidance since you made this video (only so much a firmware upgrade can probably do given the hardware limitation)? After watching your video I think I like it more overall, but the object detection does seem pretty meh compared to the L10s and I like the idea of scheduled cleaning working fine even if my apartment isn't spotless. Thanks!
No not in my testing. It is a hardware limitation. They are going to release a MaxV version soon.
@@jamie.andrews appreciate the insight and thanks again for the great content. Best robot vacuum reviews I've seen.
Great to the point review Jamie. Any news on the future innovations coming? Thinking of buying but if there’s a big step up coming maybe I’ll wait
Check out the new L20 Ultra from Dreame. I will have some vids out soon.
Thanks for the review! I ended up grabbing the Q Revo because of the sale price at 699 and I really liked the pull out tray cleanup design.

Great job, thank you, the best channel about cleaning robots

New Sub, great content! Any chance theres a future video comparing Roborock S7 max ultra vs The Yeedi Cube?
Thanks so much! I am working on the Yeedi Cube review now. No plans unless I get a bunch of requests to do so.
Ate they still worth looking at or should i turn to something else? They're both at around 500 euros at this moment. Thanks for the great review
Sure!
Did he mention the noise level of each robovacs under normal operation? Or did I miss that part?
I was totally set on buying the Dreame L10s ultra, until I thought about how uncomfortable I would feel, knowing that my vacuum has a camera that sends the images to some server. I am a bit too scared of it getting hacked or something, so I actively looked for something without a normal camera and went for the Q Revo instead. Since it's my first robot vacuum, I don't now yet how important obstacle avoidance is going to be for me, I hope the Roborock won't be an issue for me there.
Just pick up each time prior to sending the robot out and it will be no big deal, especially if you don't have pets that have accidents in the house.
Your previous L10s Ultra review showed it was collecting cables just like the Q Revo, but in this video, it seems to have done a good job at avoiding all obstacles ??
Yes firmware updates made a big difference.
Sounds like you have made your choice and I can't blame you for ti either. I am sure your mom will love the Q Revo! It is a dang good robot.
thanks for the content! can anyone comment if the detergent tank is required to be present for the l10s to function? for most regular usage i'd prefer to only use water, only using detergent periodically. the detergent tank is nice for the reasons stated in the video and comments, but i'm not a fan of having another disposable plastic bottle to toss out and replace every so often.
You can swuch it on and off in the app.
Please do one video for the l10s ultra vs l20 ultra

My L20 review will be out in a few weeks, but I am not sure I would compare it to the Q Revo as it is almost twice the price and has many more options.
Why didn't you use cleaning detergent on the mopping test?
I never do to keep things fair as some detergents may clean better than others and some manufactures do not include detergent in the box with the robot.

No. That tends to have more to do with different water conditions. Some people use a silver ion block to help.

With that said the Dreame L20 and X30 eliminate the issue which is huge.

this review determines it all....
I wish they kept is simple to like 4 basic models to cover all price ranges and have a year or subnumer X41, X42.. attached to it to have some kind of versioning in these 4 basemodels.
what model is this qrevo?
The original Qrevo. Link in description.
@@jamie.andrewsany idea if you can disable the camera of the l10s?

When will be a review for Omni x2 and dream L20?
Yea but it will be just a bit.
On the L10s, Do the mopping pads spin as it backs into the dock the same way they Deebot T20 does? Ive seen a few videos which seem to show it doing it but havent been able to find out for sure
Mine does not do that.
@jamie.andrews thanks. The bugs with the T20 have got me at the point where I want to replace it but the choice in the UK is limited so its between the L10s and the s7 max ultra and I'm liking to obstacle avoidance on the L10s
@@RichyNeal Yea no comparing the obstacle avoidance between the L10s and the S7 Max.
Hi Jamie, could I trouble you to double check if the pads spin as it backs up and if it lowers them. I watched another video today and theirs was doing it, I'm just wondering if it's something that's changed with firmware updates
@@RichyNeal yes give me just a bit and I will check.
Either of these machines will work well for you. The second side brush is not needed imo.
I like to know who has the best customer support?? I am in Ontario Canada
I don't really use customer support since I have a back channel relationship with all of the companies so I do not know the answer to your question. I suspect iRobot and Roborock would come out on top.

How about revo vs L20?
Those are so very different with the L20 being on a totally different league than the Q Revo.
I disagree with you on one point the price difference is not just $100 it's about $200 and often 300 when roborock is on sale
I am only talking retail list as it would be unfair to compare them to random sales prices.
@@jamie.andrews Thats true I agree
Out of curiosity: why 54g and 123g?
Nothing really meaningful. Just random.
How about the L20 Ultra?
Working on it. They have needed to fix some things. It is not quite ready for the masses just yet. Other people on RUclips will be quick to slam out a review for veiws, but I don't work that way.

Which one do you recommend Roborock max ultra new one or dreami Ls10 or q revo
That comes down to one's needs and wants. All 3 are great and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them.
A dock not cleaning the pads as winner? Hmm why?
@@jamie.andrewsthe Revo also has dual airflow. The port is on the side of the bin, and inlet on the robot itself
This is what I consider a weakness of Dreame in general. I found a few bugs recently myself. Roborock is much better at fixing bugs quickly.
I solved the problem by splitting and merging the room to create a separate room in the middle. After bit of googling, it turns out the q revo has the exact same issue and it's actually done by design to prevent wet pads going over no mop zones accidentaly. Still doesn't make that much sense to me but I can live with this work around.
Hi Jamie, pardon my feedback. I don't think this comparison is Apple to Apple. Shoul've compared it with Q Revo MaxV instead.

I can confirm room sequence was removed because of a patent.
Thanks for sharing,
I have been using a Q revo for over a month now, and it's meh at best.
Yes it vacuums and cleans well, in ideal condition.
However, I have major pain points in my daily use :
- Emptying the dustbin fails most of the time !
I have a fairly large cleaning area (the robot says 190m square) and use it daily. But still, I now have it setup to go the station after every room and even then it fails to empty its dust bin. It's just poorly designed and I'm already tired of going to the dock to unstuck it
- The app is a pain to use if you have more than 1 floor. Really it's not meant for that AT ALL
- The app is often slow or unresponsive when you try to load a map. And even the map you just had selected has to reloaded each time you want to control the robot. I often have to try 2 or 3 times
- There is a 5-10cm area along the walls that it just won't clean. It cannot reach it, another major design flaw imo
Yea I have heard similar from others.
The Dreame starts wanting too wet after washing the mop, nothing for wooden floors
You can select how wet you want the floors to be. Theres one preset below the default amount.
Yes the water control is better on the Q Revo.
L10S Ultra is now $900 CAD vs Q Revo at $1000. Hmm.
Hard choice!
As of FEB 2024 The Dreame is $649 [with -50 clip cupon]
The QRevo is $769 [with -130 clip cupon] on amazon.
Now the question, is the QRevo a better buy costing $120 bucks more?
$649 is a great price for the L10s Ultra
Its creepy to have camera roaming yor home daily n home camera system are easily hacked
Cameras are on both sides of your cell phones too!
@@jamie.andrews yes, but i don't roam my phone around the house daily to my kitchen, to my toilet, everywhere with my phone. besides, im using Apple only iphones which is tough to hack.
Haha.... Object avoidance was miles apart
Yep
Roborock will win based on my experience. Correct?
That depends on the needs as mentioned in the video conclusion. It really comes down to object avoidance for most people.
Is it new feature in all L10s? ruclips.net/video/iPtqfMa7bz4/видео.html
Yes
