I have to say, I think Narwal shoukd have done a bit better, though I'm not saying that to say you guys were biased against it. The freo mode in my experience will keep mopping until the floor is fully clean, so if that didn't happen in your test, then I don't think your test is accurate. Also you guys didn't really discuss how the narwal does by far the most to ensure proper hygiene, which is very important. Finally, the freo mode is the only one outside of eufy that is able to oroperly handle wet messes, which is again very important. Again, I respect your results, I just think your testing and rankings are a bit flawed.
Amazing review. I wish I saw this before Black Friday. Also, I suggest doing the similar video for mid level and low end vaccumes as well. Amazing video. Thank you.
i am using the switchbot s10 and i am very happy with it, although the avoidance algorithm and the app and its options could be improved. i have a request, all the robots have their proprietary cleaning fluid, could you guys break down for us what matters, and what alternatives can be considered?
Interesting idea! Actually, I already know quite a bit about what's coming next year because I've been briefed, however I can't reveal the info until the embargos for each robot is lifted. I will be covering CES with at least 2 videos from the show starting around January 6.
@vacuumnerds did you update firmware on each of the vacuums? I know with the eufy s1 pro that updated firmware makes it much less conversative with obstacle avoidance. Which might improve it quite a fair bit in all of your tests with edge and corner performance and navigation
Narwal Z is bad because it has NO internal water tank for the mop. It has to go back and fourth over and over again from the base to wet the mop. Don’t buy it.
Its not bad! It's good, when you mannualy mop your flor - do you just spray some water on floor during mopping or rewash after some m²? I habe x40 and Z, i assure you that Z is way better in mopping and x40 in carpet.
For the Eufy, how come you did not try the Free Mode or Medium mode, as mine is pretty balanced cleaning around table legs on Medium mode. Regardless, great video, and reinforced why we went with the Eufy (mopping ability).
@ I’ve seen reviews that the hard floor pickup ability is affected by using the Tri-cut brush over the stock. I know the tri-cut brush is superior for pet hair though.
I think you really missed a lot of points in the narwal review: Base station is actysuper easy to clean and take it. You actually took out only half of the base. Mopping is perfect. Any review mentioned that and that's the same case on mine. App is super nice and flawless.
We've reviewed the Freo Z before. It's an excellent robot, but mopping is not perfect. We tested each robot identically and you can see the results on screen against the others. We'll cover cleaning solutions more in-depth in the next robot comparison. Thx for the comment!
While the qrevo curve seems like it has some nice features it is surprising that it keeps “winning” on multiple channels as it seems like it has a few short comings. Namely obstacle avoidance. At this price point it doesn’t seem acceptable to run over pet waste I’ve seen this happen over multiple tests. It is currently the most one of the most expensive vacuum robots and has arguably the worst obstacle avoidance out of any of the top robots. In real life that vacuum would be going in the trash after running over feces.
with all due respect to your intensive comparation and testings - buying any IOT Eufy product in 2025 after the huge security flaw that they first denied and then apologized for (if I remember correctly) - is not smart
The incident received a fair bit of scrutiny at the time. Every major manufacturer has since indicated that they adhere to some type of security standard. We have not tested adherence to these standards and we don’t have the resources to do so. We are not security engineers or pen testers so all we can realistically do is show you what a normal end-user sees. It’s up to the purchaser to decide if they want a device with a camera and a mic inside their home. There are a wide variety of robots that don’t have cameras or mics.
@@anonylesss bro no1 cares, you ain't important for any hacker to try to hack and record you. Stop thinking you are some CEO when you're probably some next bum if you made a comment like that!
I have dreame for one floor and narval for another, Z its another level for mopping, it's just too good to be real:) but have some problem with carpet. In freo mode will not clean in adeguate way. You have to choose "zone" and put in on max. Meanwhile X40 is ery nad at mopping but great carpet cleaning, it seams like manual vacuuming. Can say, if you habe tiles and no or little carpet - go with Z, in italy you van buy 2 for the price of X40. But for carpet, you have to go with x40 (or just dont leave too much time for dust/sound accomulate)
I have the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Auto Refill & Empty. The damn thing is flat out amazing. I cannot recommend it enough (ON SALE!). It is very expensive, which is the only bad thing I can say about it. I almost got the Curve b/c of the mopping and the anti tangle brush rollers, but without auto refill and empty I couldn't do it. Thankfully, the S8 MaxV Ultra has been so amazing that while it might not be perfect, it is perfect for my family at the moment. I will say that no Robot Vacuum is perfect for cleaning 3600SQ FT on a single floor. That needs to be addressed.

A robot that cant avoid pet waste can't be the best one. That is a deal breaker for anyone who might have any kind of mess that needs avoided.
If you have young pets, or older pets this is a big deal.
Amazing review. I wish I saw this before Black Friday. Also, I suggest doing the similar video for mid level and low end vaccumes as well. Amazing video. Thank you.
It took a long time to make this, but in 2025 we’ll aim to get one done before the end of November.
You couldn’t see this before Black Friday, it was posted 6 hours ago lol

Throughly enjoyed your video. Have you thought of doing a “prediction” video on what might be next year’s must haves etc?

Try reviewing the Shark Stratos upright vacuum.

Have you noticed debris cleaning performance change when using the tri-cut brush vs the regular brush in the Dreame x40?
I haven’t used the regular brush in a long time. Which brush do you use?

it’s not that serious for most people if it was u probably shouldn’t even own a smartphone if security is that big of a deal to you

iRobot Roombas are awesome with deep cleaning carpet because of their 2 brush design! You should try that on the carpet test:)
Roborock has the same irobot is ded soon..
True but they are far behind for everything else.
@ yea, but they are great for Just vacuuming, not really mopping unfortunately
