- "Get It" was composed by Gene Koshinski and performed by University of Minnesota Duluth professors Dr. Jefferson Campbell and Dr. Gene Koshinski. "Get It!," written for bassoonist Jefferson Campbell, is the product of a request to create a challenging concert piece for bassoon that stemmed from the popular music medium. Simply put, "Get It!" is designed to unleash the bassoonist's inner "rock star!"
Recorded in Weber Hall on the campus of University of Minnesota Duluth.
Sound recording by Don Schraufnagel.

wow...those china cymbals on a hi-hat stand....very cool...
I am an oboe and cajon player, this video is made for me :) thank you, beautiful piece and such synchronization !!
Haha! You're the target audience buddy! I bet there's not more than half a dozen people on earth in your demographic. And that's a good thing!
It's a Bassoon tho....
@@francescopaladini4106 yeah I know, Oboe and bassoon are close brothers ;)
thanks for posting!
Came back for another listen and it’s still good!
Bonjour.
C' est une pièce très originale qui je pense demandé beaucoup de travail au bassoniste
Bravo pour ce duo basson /percussion
I have a love/hate relationship with my cajon. Maybe I need to work on it... Loved the china cymbal hi hat. Very nice.

That title fits the song so good!

Thank you for posting
Amazing
Where can I get the music for this?
I am going into my junior year at Eastman and it would be awesome to get a chance to play such a cool piece like this. Also - LOVE the Rite of Spring tag at the end.
Bit late but he probably sells sheets on his website in the description
They killed it.
I Can't Believe This Piece It's In The Pocket 🥁!!
Прекрасно! Репертуар для фагота нужно расширять, чтобы раскрыть этот шикарный инструмент во всём великолепии
bravo! great piece played great!
Tight. Innovative. Sweet funky.
Cool shit guys .
I detect a little bit of Dave Matthews in it . Nice! 😀
That is an awesome use of Chinas!
Woooow funk!!
Nice work bros. How manny instruments do you play?
What is that box instrument and how does it work?
It's called a cajon. there are snare wires attached to the inside of the upper half of the box to produce the typical snare sound.
sounds kinda like Haitian fight song by charles Mingus at some parts 2:40
I don't get it!
That's okay. :) The first step is being brave enough to listen and you managed that. There's music enough for everybody, not all of it will work for everyone. Bravo for having an open mind!
hutchmusician lol I absolutely get it, I’m just making a joke of the name of the piece: Get It!
@@penguinexpress12 oh, I get it now
Hello! I would like to touch this, how can I get the papers? Thank you!

Syncopation is annoying
you got a bunch of music to listen before saying that
Shure it is. Everything is annoying
classical musicians be like
Dat's some cool cats, man. Dig it?
