Im from Africa where polygamy is accepted. It’s a recipe for disaster. Women spend their lives being in competition with each others, children are sneaky and hypocrites and want to have the father’s love more than the other woman children. Lots of women killed their rivals children out of jealousy. Western women aren’t built for polygyny trust me it’s a social construction. Some of these men publicly talk about it I’m like bless your hearts. You are setting yourself up for failure going that route. Especially when they are poor or average earners. They aren’t ready.

Men forget that if they sign a contract with multiple women, the women aren’t doing that so they do not feel the way men are. The fact that most of these men can't even fully provide for themselves, let alone provide and support two different women and their children yet still think they could encourage these types of relationships is offensive. I know several women who were NOT even legally married, but had children with and in relationships with men who wanted multiple other women and literally every single one of those women still ended up single! And He could have made more than one. Multiple wives started with Cain's descendants. And we see in scripture that The Most High allowed it. And Moses wrote laws on how to conduct marriages with multiple wives to protect the women in them, since most did not work outside of the home. When you look at the fruit of these multiple wives and concubines, it was nothing but drama. Same here. Was with my soon to be ex husband for years, married him, marriage didn't last 2 years. He started cheating after going away on business, or always was cheating (I'll never know). TG I have a had male friends say it is hard to deal with several women sexually mentally and financially. I also have seen this even in my younger years I had a kid with my guy we broke up he went on to have 2 ladies live with him it was a hot mess. Those ladies would fight all the time one lady set my child's Father up to get shot he was laying in the hospital full of bullets. This lady took his money and paid someone to shoot him. Luckily he survived and after that all that several ladies slowed down. I didn’t shave either but my hair wasn’t dark or noticeable growing up. If ever I did shave for a cheer event or something it made my hair stiff or prickly and I hated that. So I stopped shaving so often. My husband has wolf hairy legs and never complained about the hairs in my body. I will wax every now an then but I always say to him “never pressure me to do what you’re not willing to do first.” I used him as a demo for content one day and whew! A leg and back wax. Tony, thank you for sharing your truth, as always. It's very interesting to hear the Christian pov on polygyny, which is what is practiced in the Muslim world. I'll only add that there is a lot of encouragement in Islamic scripture to treat every one of your wives equally if you take more than one. Without the intention to do this, then it is encouraged to keep it to one wife. We also believe that our prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings on him, took multiple wives to help protect them in a tribal society. He was monogamous for twenty plus years to his first wife. Needless to say, many men who practice polygyny these days have clouded reasons for doing so and most families would not permit their daughters to be in a multiple wives scenario. There is an innate preference for monogamy, but Islamic law recognizes men's nature to be tempted and provides a legal avenue to avoid mistresses like traditional Christian countries accept ( France, Italy, Spain.) It's a tough subject. I would only choose to be polygamous if I had no other choices and didn't want to die alone, like you said. There are worse things than sharing! But it's not my preference.
Im from Africa where polygamy is accepted. It’s a recipe for disaster. Women spend their lives being in competition with each others, children are sneaky and hypocrites and want to have the father’s love more than the other woman children. Lots of women killed their rivals children out of jealousy. Western women aren’t built for polygyny trust me it’s a social construction. Some of these men publicly talk about it I’m like bless your hearts. You are setting yourself up for failure going that route. Especially when they are poor or average earners. They aren’t ready.

Completely agree. I have had a couple men suggest this idea to me (which I declined) they were both inadequate to even take care of 1 woman. They were both liars and cheaters and overall damaged. I walked away but they did find women willing to participate which is rly sad. Most of the time these women are are out of options.

Tony, my ex and sons father of 3 years, I thought we were getting back together because that’s what he led me to believe. It's crazy how our patents teach our boys to not cry and not to think it won't affect their relationships in the future. We are now dealing with unattached emotional men who are only out here hurting others because they are not healed from their childhood. Tony, thank you for sharing your truth, as always. It's very interesting to hear the Christian pov on polygyny, which is what is practiced in the Muslim world.
I'll only add that there is a lot of encouragement in Islamic scripture to treat every one of your wives equally if you take more than one. Without the intention to do this, then it is encouraged to keep it to one wife. We also believe that our prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings on him, took multiple wives to help protect them in a tribal society. He was monogamous for twenty plus years to his first wife. Needless to say, many men who practice polygyny these days have clouded reasons for doing so and most families would not permit their daughters to be in a multiple wives scenario. There is an innate preference for monogamy, but Islamic law recognizes men's nature to be tempted and provides a legal avenue to avoid mistresses like traditional Christian countries accept ( France, Italy, Spain.)
It's a tough subject. I would only choose to be polygamous if I had no other choices and didn't want to die alone, like you said. There are worse things than sharing! But it's not my preference.
