I adore the fact that you do historical hairstyles and explore historical beauty, and break it down in a way that makes it versatile for the viewers.
Beauty expectations are fickle things that change constantly but it’s so fun to see if there are any correlations between then and now or what the main differences are! Your channel is amazing!

Just wondering if you've ever tried a cleansing oil? Since pomade is pretty much just wax and oil a cleansing oil could make a great pre shampoo treatment, hopefully saving you from having to go the dish soap route again. If you have dm drugstore in the Netherlands, their store brand Balea cleansing oil is actually my HG for my face and not so prohibitively expensive that it couldn't be used for hair.

you should try to plan multible videos in one go. less damage, more content. the styles do require heavily producted hair, and what is better then already producted and used hair? we did that with hairdress competition dolls. used them for styling atleast 10 times w products before rinsing because the hair would become easier to manipulate. and adding adding adding products then washing it out just for one hairstyle dosnt sound the best.
    you are doing great dear.

So good that you are doing damage control. Having said that try a thermal heat cap when you deep condition it is AMAZING!!!! I have a hot heads one and it is the most brilliant thing ever!!! Use it on damp hair that you have your oils and deep conditioner in and wait till you see the results!!! The heat and damp hair help open the cuticle and let loads of moisture penetrate the hair cuticle. It a secret all is curlies have. Try it I think you’ll be well impressed by the difference. 😉👍🏻

Folic acid, which is in every prenatal vitamin, helps hair growth. A lot of people don't take it because they think prenatal means only when pregnant. My hair has always grown slowly, but has grown from an inch over my shoulders to bra strap in a year since I've been taking this.
Also Olaplex when using chemicals, and mayonnaise. Mayo feels so icky while its in, but it really helps.

Love the shower cap! You can also do a applecider (raw) vinegar rinse with water and it will get any extra build up in your hair and scalp and make your hair shiner. You probably already know that but just in case. 🙃 The vinegar smell fades away so you don't have to worry.

I wonder if anti dandruff shampoo would work twice as fast. I can't use it on my own hair. Not only does it strip the color off of unnaturally colored hair (i have orange hair-- looked like I bathed in Sunkist after I made that mistake) , but it also stripped off the oils in my hair. Also bad considering my hair is naturally curly. But!!! Maybe that would be a good thing for the 18th century washes?!?!

Girl with frizzy hair usually flat iron their hair but that's more damaging. I just oil my hair, braid or bun it and let it be. Frizzy hair is not always damaged, sometimes it's just the cuticles are rough a bit but hair calms down after a while. Just accept that hair is not a shampoo commercial hihi
