I adore the fact that you do historical hairstyles and explore historical beauty, and break it down in a way that makes it versatile for the viewers. Beauty expectations are fickle things that change constantly but it’s so fun to see if there are any correlations between then and now or what the main differences are! Your channel is amazing!
I love love love watching your videos! I feel like all RUclipsrs make the same videos as each other, and I love that yours are so unique. I binge watch your old videos when I’m bored too!
I just found you, and I love your videos! I m a historian and have done a fair share of historic interpretation, and trying to get historical hair can be so hard! You are adorable and so smart! I will be using your tips and tricks. Thank you!
I stumbled upon one of your videos a few months ago and I've been obsessed, despite having no interest in doing these hairstyles lmao. I've always wondered how you get your hair back to normal after all that styling and powder so thank you for posting this!
I don't think I've ever clicked on a video so fast. I will be revisiting some of the other videos for tips that you mentioned. I was very curious how you kept your hair looking so nice. My ends might need a bit more of a cut than I usually give them, if only to lessen some of the weight on the roots. Thank you for this video!
I have that same exact shower cap lol It’s so cute I could not resist, I thought it was for kids though, makes me feel a little better to see you using it too haha
Was wondering if you could add Debbie Reynolds for beauty beacons. She is my favorite actress from older movies and I just love her. Especially in Susan Slept Here at the end her hair is so pretty 1950’s. Thank you 😊
Just wondering if you've ever tried a cleansing oil? Since pomade is pretty much just wax and oil a cleansing oil could make a great pre shampoo treatment, hopefully saving you from having to go the dish soap route again. If you have dm drugstore in the Netherlands, their store brand Balea cleansing oil is actually my HG for my face and not so prohibitively expensive that it couldn't be used for hair.
rice water rinsing is my go-to repairing method, i honestly can feel the difference after every wash. been using it weekly for a bit over a month now and wow it's worth it.
I haven't seen the video yet but I am pretty sure that it is going to be interesting.....and I will definitely watch it till the end after I am done with my work..👍👍👍👍
you should try to plan multible videos in one go. less damage, more content. the styles do require heavily producted hair, and what is better then already producted and used hair? we did that with hairdress competition dolls. used them for styling atleast 10 times w products before rinsing because the hair would become easier to manipulate. and adding adding adding products then washing it out just for one hairstyle dosnt sound the best. you are doing great dear.
Thank you . I have just started to oil my hair because I have dry hair . At the moment I'm using olive oil which as been used for many many years as you probably know . I shall mix my self a concocted mix after seeing your video and add grape oil into it too plus what ever oil that I have that's good for my hair .
So good that you are doing damage control. Having said that try a thermal heat cap when you deep condition it is AMAZING!!!! I have a hot heads one and it is the most brilliant thing ever!!! Use it on damp hair that you have your oils and deep conditioner in and wait till you see the results!!! The heat and damp hair help open the cuticle and let loads of moisture penetrate the hair cuticle. It a secret all is curlies have. Try it I think you’ll be well impressed by the difference. 😉👍🏻
Folic acid, which is in every prenatal vitamin, helps hair growth. A lot of people don't take it because they think prenatal means only when pregnant. My hair has always grown slowly, but has grown from an inch over my shoulders to bra strap in a year since I've been taking this. Also Olaplex when using chemicals, and mayonnaise. Mayo feels so icky while its in, but it really helps.
WHAT?! I never knew that! Thanks for the tip. My hair is down to my lower back but I've been trying to get it to be a little past my behind. I miss *long* hair. Again, thanks! Edit: does it make you sprout hairs elsewhere? I'm terrified of growing rogue chin hairs
American Crew has a shampoo that is meant to remove really strong styling products. It gives a deep cleanse! At my old job I would recommend that to guys that used really strong gels or pomades!
Love the shower cap! You can also do a applecider (raw) vinegar rinse with water and it will get any extra build up in your hair and scalp and make your hair shiner. You probably already know that but just in case. 🙃 The vinegar smell fades away so you don't have to worry.
I dont know if this helps but when I got my hair done for a photo shoot, they told me to use conditioner before I used shampoo. It really helps when you've got a lot of product in your hair. (:
I'm curious about what they did back in those days to take care of their hair! I would imagine thry got the pomades out with some harsh soap but i wonder what their conditioners of choice were and if there were certain routines they had. I suppose the conditioners might vary from country to country depending on what was available...
I wonder if anti dandruff shampoo would work twice as fast. I can't use it on my own hair. Not only does it strip the color off of unnaturally colored hair (i have orange hair-- looked like I bathed in Sunkist after I made that mistake) , but it also stripped off the oils in my hair. Also bad considering my hair is naturally curly. But!!! Maybe that would be a good thing for the 18th century washes?!?!
Hi , mam 🤗 I have a request ...😔 Whenever I wash my hair with hair cleanser , as hairs dry they become soooooo frizzy with loads of flyaways , then I have to use a hair oil to get rid of them . So , I request you , if you could explain , how to get rid of frizzy hairs with flyaways , since I love your hairs 😍. Please consider , Regards from India 🤗.
Girl with frizzy hair usually flat iron their hair but that's more damaging. I just oil my hair, braid or bun it and let it be. Frizzy hair is not always damaged, sometimes it's just the cuticles are rough a bit but hair calms down after a while. Just accept that hair is not a shampoo commercial hihi
@@LuisaH2022 I actually do the same! Which kinda sucks in a way because I have to sleep on my stomach when I put my hair in a bun, but it really does tame the frizz
@@Glittermauz I never sleep on my stomach. I do this bun but very low and loose on the nape on my neck then tie it loosely with a scrunchie ruclips.net/video/9xCs7vnBFq8/видео.html

Since we are close to the 2020s, how about doing some 1920 hair, makeup and style tutorials? 🙂
great gatsby get ready with me!!

THAT SHOWER CAP IS SO CUTE. I NEED ONE NOW.
When you first said “fermented rice water” I definitely heard “fermented Christ water” 😂 what is this magical thing! Tell me more 😂
You can walk on it! :-)
Father forgot to clean the holy water font?
I've been doing the castor oil + showercap routine for about 6 months and I see a HUGE difference. Plus makes my hair smell nice
Could you do a video of you taking the hair out? Sounds strange but I've always wanted to see the process!
I think this would be interesting as well !

I've been so curious how you do it, I was worried you'd be bald soon lol
Also I'd love to see a historical hairstyle for naturally curly hair❤
Please do another “day in my life” vlog sometime soon🙏☺️ I love your vlogs so much.
I have one lined up very soon! 🤩

Looking forward to your rice water results!!
Yess please
you're so cute. i like how you've styled your hair in this video. due to hair loss in my bang line, i've had to give up wearing bangs.
I would use the rice water every other or every two washes because it can cause damage due to protein overload
i bleached the shit out of my hair and the aphogee 2 step protein treatment & olaplex no. 3 are LIFE SAVERS

Definitely want to start bringing in the oil treatment before washes, that’s such a good idea. Just curious how often do you wash your hair?
About every other day these days. I did every three or four days for years though
Loepsie good to know, thanks for replying💖
How I wish we could have seen wash all the gunk out
I love ur hairstyle, ur really lovely looking
Hey, oil is a sealant. If you put it on wet hair it seals in hydration, and if you put it on dry hair it seals in dryness.
I love the smell of briogeo don't despair repair. I only have the a sample. I can't really afford it.
When you were applying the hair oil you looked like Helena Bonham Carter!!
I love you so much and I love all your videos
Any tips on how you cut your own hair? I tried it and it didn't go too well 😂 Yours looks really nice, by the way! 💕

Why have a subscribed? I'm a guy and have short hair 😁😁 I'm still not unsubbing, I love watching stuff like this
Rice-water, is also very good for the Skin.
Depend on the hair type rice water is basically an at home protien treatment .Does your hair like protien is the question.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe I got it at Primark 😁
Have you ever tried a baking soda wash and vinegar condition?

How do you brush out all the backcombing?

Wonder how many people watching this may be time travelers.

Take prenatal vitamins! After a couple months you’ll notice your nails & hair growing super fast!

omg please promise to never use dish soap ever again, it can actually make you go bald ):
