I'm not a soup guy, but i want to eat much more veggies, so i gave it a try. I don't had coriander or thyme, so i used parsley and rosemary. I don't had cayenne and scotch bonnet, so i used dried cherry peppers and smoked paprika. And it still turned out fantastic! Amazing recipe, thank you!
I would have never thought of adding all those ingredients together. Most recipes just have celery, carrot, and onion which is how I have been making it, but I really want to try it your way. Wow!!
Amazing recipe. I'm glad you are spreading the info about turmeric + black pepper. I moved in with my uncle this year and cured his crippling arthritis with that spice combo.
I just made this and oh my goodness, it’s so delicious!!! I had green split peas but I had everything else so I just went with it. Amazing flavor, thanks for sharing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Marcus; In looking for a yellow pea soup, I discovered your show. After watching you prepare the soup, I will try your recipe and ingredients for this Christmas. I was surprised that you did not cut your garlic cloves to remove the heel and open the clove to the pot. When you reached for the stick blender, I understood. I also use my stick beater to puree the mix, reserving some of the carrots, onions and ham as a finish. Thanks for sharing.
I am definitely trying this healing split pea soup. The split pea soup looks delicious!!!! Thanks!! Chef Marcus Anthony for uploading this video. Thanks
just a note The pharma industry buy up turmeric root and give the by product /powder to the supermarets Turmeric is a powerful med but only if you can get your hands on the root/rhizome . Black pepper is the best spice for clearing channels of circulation Thank You for the soup recipe I just fancied a pea soup and found your channel Your herb and spice mix sounds interesting and lovely Will soak my peas now for tomorrow 's big pot of very tasty soup i'm sure x
Youre Legend. thanks for this video i just started eatting split peas for the first time a few days ago. and loving them. new subscriber by the way Blessings onto you!
One would not need to blend at all, Just make it simmer for 15 hours. To have a fine pea soup at once, please use a pre-made mixture and Mc-gyver-it-up yourself to taste. In finland there's a fine pea soup brand called Jalostaja, It really is a fine product and a half. It never disappoints one in split pea soup matters.
Hello, You definitely have wonderful tips and awesome confidence ! You are a manly man ! You gave me some good suggestions, thank you ! Take Care ! Will definitely reference to your channel for recipes when needed 🤩🙏

W A H G W A N/ By Chef Marcus Anthony, luv this description of "Olive oil dancing, movin' and groovin'" EXCELLENT! .........Tampa Bay is cooking with ya:) Dorothy
Marcus Anthony the football player? Well, chef, this was fantastic soup. Excellent video, easy to follow along and informative. I love your attitude of “tweak it and have fun!” I added some heavy cream to thicken it for serving in fresh baked bread bowels. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Never thought to add bouillon afterwards if using just water. Great tip if there is no bone broth. Thanks for sharing. Also I may have missed it but did you need to remove the bay leaves before blending? Looks very tasty.
Thank you!! No being that it’s being blended, I leave the bay in, but surely after it’s been cooked down the nutrients are in the soup so to each their own!
@ I would be concerned that there could still be hard pieces of bay leaves and thyme stalks after blending. Also perhaps because I tend not to like super blended soups and usually leave some smaller chunks. Nice recipe -thank you.
Hi, I am sure this was a Kirkland brand Extra virgin. I like to purchase it there because of the value and quality. Thank you for watching and engaging. Much Blessings
Split pea is one of my favorite to make, honestly I like to add a few cups of chicken stock, home made is obviously the best but 1 can of stock can really tie it together. Give it a try :) NOT BROTH! Chicken stock..there's a big difference..your father would want you to stay strong in his passing, and hold the family unit down, God bless 🙏 Amen!
Won’t blend in pot it tends to spill all over if one is not familiar using that type of blender use a standing blender so you don’t burn yourself or make a huge mess.
Its nice to see a brother who likes to cook
This guy has the most captivating smile. Wow. Excellent presentation. Let the bromance begin!

@@ShopWahGwan I like to use better than bouillon. Much less msg and I find it adds great body to soups.
@@ShopWahGwan So you don't remove bay leaves before blending? Just want to make sure. thanks
Just subscribed. You nailed the presentation of the dish at the end. Sidenote: you might want to recover the bay leaf before blending.
I thought of that too.
Yo this looks fancy and tasty. Never seen split pea soup like this 👍🏾
Yum, that looks 💣!
It’s garlic 🧄 & Olive Oil 🫒 They love each other! Lol 😂 😂😂
