Love the channel man! Been following you guys for the last couple of years! I had a question, could you give me any tips with dialing the ID1700cc injectors on my evo x? I’ve been stumped trying to smooth out these injectors on 91 pump gas at idle. it’s been near impossible to keep them from lightly stumbling. I have them close to smooth and I’m realizing I need to smooth out the Low Pulse Width adder. I understand tuning is based on empirical data rather than plugging in an answer from a formula, but is there any tip you can give me to dial these injectors well or if there’s any other maps I should adjust rather than the fuel and timing maps that can help stabilize idle. I know tuning open loop and tuning on speed density is another option but I want to see if I can keep these injectors stable in closed loop and on maf before I jump into that decision. Any answer would be greatly appreciated! I’ll donate some money too!! Thank you!
I don't understand what you mean by "smoothing out" the injectors. I do not teach people how to tune. There are plenty of online courses for that. But Evo x platform like most platforms, to tune after market injectors or intake etc you have to follow the fuel trims. That will tell you everything. Using that u scale ur MAF and map , or injector size and dead time or all of them. Again I do not teach people how to tune. You should pay for a tuning course.
@@bdalchemist I’ve been trying to follow the trims but for some reason, even if I get latency, scaling and even adjusting the VE table to get STFT and LTFT down to 2-3% combined, it seems to still have this “falling off a cliff” reaction. When the engine is warm, A/F ratio fluctuates between 14:3-15:4, which is great! But then it randomly riches up to 12:5-13:5 then leans up to 17-18. Seconds later, it stabilizes back to 14:3-15:4. I guess it’s just the mechanics of this injector. It sucks but I understand 1700cc or any big injectors have larger minimum injection so it seems near impossible to tune them close to stock on pump gas. I’ve done boost leak tests, smoke tests for vacuum leaks as well as a leak down test to check the health of the engine. I’ve also changed the fuel pump, checked for any wiring issues and everything is perfectly fine. I’ll keep looking around to see if anyone has ran into this issue with a solution. Thank you for your time!
I know I asked you about the 2.0 & 2.2. When building a Evo X, would you use standard pistons 86 MM, or would you do the 86.5 bore when doing a 2.0 build?
@@bdalchemist perfect thanks, trying to push put tp hopefully 600 on e85 without cams stockblock on 1300x is that possible? I'm running a xona xr7864s ETS turbo kit and full Radium Fuel setup
@@JPTinioMedia as long as the torque is lower than 400-420 you should be fine. however i would do the 1700 cause at that power level the 1300 would be maxed out
Thanks for the awesome feedback as always. I love watching the channel.
thank you
Alex will love it, he never used 1000hp anyways. Nice job! 👌
Lol , he def does.

@@bdalchemistI’d like to donate a little bit of money for your time but I’m not sure how?
No need. I highly suggest you take some online tuning courses.
Quick question what’s the difference between the 4.18 and 4.3 final drive?
4.3 is shorter that 4.18
how did these 2150 feel for ~500hp? especially the driveability? compared to id1700x or FIC1650
Always wanted the full race exhaust, can you post sound clips one day or when you tune it?
sure if i get one

Smallest bore the engine would allow
Does this evo have stock transmission final drive?
Why a Walbro 255 when you could run a Walbro 450?.. especially with FIC 2150's.. 🤔
I was told id1300 and id1700 are very annoying to dial on idle. Is that the case with fuel Injector clinic for you?
absolutely not true what you were told about IDs. they are really good but over priced injectors. i have no issues with either brand.

would a set of s1 cams make a difference? amd what do you mean open housing?
Definitely would make a difference, and open as in none twin scroll
