MAPerformance I purchased a GReddy RS Revolution axel back exhaust from u guys a year ago fo my 08 Lancer gts. I love da sound of it and da look. I’m a GReddy guy and if I had da money at da time I would’ve bought da catback instead. But tanks again fo da great product. Aloha 🤙🏻
You guys forgot the Akrapovic Exhaust for the Evo X. Discontinued now, and for a RSP of $6500 AUD its no wonder, but the sound and performance from it is second to none.
I really love the HKS Hi-Power single on my Evo X, kinda helps with the weight problem also. Sounds great at lower RPM, only draw back for me personally is the droning when you're off throttle at around 3-4k RPM but also sounds great at WOT or at least accelerating. It's aggressive but not in the overly aggressive way as 'incognito driving' will let you point at your STI friends and say it was them
I really like the Magna Flow dual outlet exhaust on my 2012 Evo. For me, it sounds great, it's not too loud, but it sounds a lot better when I added a test pipe and an AMS down pipe. Plus, the the dual rolled exhaust tips look great! The only thing is even though it's 3" 304SS, there is a spot at the cat/test pipe flange that drops down the pipe diameter. I ended up cutting that part out and adding a true 3' flange in its place.
Got the ETS quiet with resonator (which isn't quiet). Got a cobb 3" downpipe, 3" sports cat as well. Perfect idle sound, nice when cruising and it opens up when on it. Making just over 400bhp on rolling road. Its the perfect combo for me. The cobb downpipe is very well made also.
Great info. Keep up the EVO X content. By the way I have the Invidia N1. I like the look of the single exhaust. Also when I installed the test pipe with it it is the perfect volume. Not too loud when cruising but the volume doubles when in full boost.
Who dosen’t like a nice pair of tips! 🤣😂 Hard to say no to that.. Nice one HKS.. Love the Tomei, that weight is pretty dang awesome. pick for the track def, but this time prob have to go for the Invidia for sound and looks for the road daily, Ti tip had me at hello, but I’d add a full TB system to exploit it to the max, the HKS only neg is the weight. All pretty sick options though, can’t go wrong, cheers guys.
If I had to have the single exit, for the best performance, then i'd go with the Tomei Exhaust. If I had to have the dual exit, then I'd go with the ETS exhaust. Overall, taking price, sound, look and performace into account, I'd go with the Map Exhaust.
Grat Video MAP. I run the Tomei on mine. It sounds amazing if you're still on the stock turbo, Manifold, DP, TP. However, it opens up so well when I slapped the ETS GTX3584 kit and AMS resonated TP.
I also use the Borla S-Type, it's pretty lightweight and sounds great however I have it coupled to the Turbo XS 3" downpipe and 100 cell count 3" high flow cat. You need to make sure to have the Cobb gasket to mate the Borla to the 3" pipes. I also believe autozone has the equivalent gasket available it's used on a LS1 style exhaust. I can't believe Borla did make the cut for MAPerformance's top 5 video..
I have a muffler design I wish I could have manufactured. It uses three different aspects of the golden ratio to flow air. I even have a pre Muffler design I would love to implement with Muffler bypasses and more.
I have a Mitsubishi Lancer '09 Mivec. It's the first car I've ever owned and I'm in love with it. I'd like to mod it as time goes. Right now I'm basically starting; took it to paint, bought a body kit, and next some nice rims. I'd like to buy some marshals for it and probably change the hood so it looks more sport/Evo. I'm also thinking of buying it a sound system, something that'll give it a bit more life, music wise. Nothing too extreme, it's my first car after all. It has crossed my mind to change the exhaust so it sounds better. I'm thinking of a deep tone, something elegant. I don't want it to sound too loud. I'm still waiting for it to finish painting, I miss it lol. Any tips are welcomed, I want it to last until my 30s haha.
Once again, although the vid/sound quality is great it tells very little. What the community really needs is each exhaust compared to stock with the same recording equipment in the same location. I doubt anyone is getting more than minimal gains with a catback if any. It's all about future mods and even more that sweet sweet exhaust note. I'm on my 2nd & although I love both they are not what I truly wanted. I watched tons of vids on different sound setups & none provided a good representation of what they were in person. I have considered doing it but I have 1 car & 3 exhaust systems. For me this would be a costly project. MAPerformance could do it far easier. I'm sure if they offered to reasonably close customers to possibly assist install, you get your car in a vid & maybe a slight discount it could be done. Even doing it with one car & selling off the used exhausts at a bit of a discount would keep production low & give consumers a better idea of the product.
Top 3 HKS for the Dual as well as design and sound #2 Map similar but probably be looking into that extream version #3 TOMIE sound is nar design seems to be to par as should for brand Not shure thanks for the video and all the details now to see if i can do some digging and find a decision
Love my Fujitsubo Full Titanium Exhaust. Very light and sounds amazing. But price is bit high at $2800. I also have the full titanium version of the Invidia. Invidia sounds bit too aggressive for daily driving of and can get in trouble with the popos in Cali though. So I just keep that as a back up in the garage.
I run full Tomei turbo back, turbo, downpipe, cat delete and exhaust, paired witha ti manifold and havent been pulled over. Its not how loud you car is its about how you can control yourself especially if you have custom plates that are easy to report.
I’m looking for something that isn’t too loud but still has a nice sound. Not an evo x, but I have a 2004 Ralliart that I’m turbocharging and I’ll need a full exhaust. I’m not going to run cats, because I feel like 20psi from an hx35 would probably blow them out. I want it to be tame for daily driving and I’ll have some cutouts for when I really want to be loud.
Great video! I picked up the HKS Hi Power dual exhaust last year for my Evo X MR. Can't believe I haven't put it on yet. :( Sorry MAPerformance, I got if for less at KamiSpeed.
Everybody but me Hates my Tomei LOL. Plus i got DP and big turbo so its extremely loud. But i love it. When needed i just put the silencer on and it helps a lot.
I prefer HKS. Not too loud but leave some nice tone for some ear and your family, plus no attention to those cops! Thanks for the vid. Btw HKS Legamax and HKS Hi-Power is it a different model or similar?
the tomei isnt that bad, i daily mine and don't have any complaints and I run an AMS 3" high flow cat + 3" widemouth down pipe , so it could be louder if i put a test pipe but its perfect
A couple things to clarify here. 1. Invidia N1 is loud as fuck. Trust me, it's probably the most popular exhaust I install on evos. It's essentially a stainless version of the Tomei. 2. You are spotlighting the HKS dual exit, but you're using the supercar suspects sound clips. Chris was running the HKS single exit. Just adding factual info for people using this video as a buyer's guide.

I have a cobb quad tip catback whit no catalytic converter on my evo x and damn it sounds way beter that the 5you talked about
ETS or Tomei.
2:50 ETS
4:24 MAPerformance
6:18 TOMEI
8:04 INVIDIA
9:43 HKS
Thanks men.
I have and love the HKS hi-power, but nothing's louder than my cracked manifold
Invidia N1 has perfect sound with future mods such as downpipe, testpipe, and intake. Not too loud with a beautiful rumble
I would like to see a vid about cool air intakes on evo x pls
Cool air intake on a turbo is pretty much pointless. The turbo will just reheat the air when it compresses it.
Just so you know, you need a tune if your gonna drop a cold air into it, but it's pointless
Love the tomei on my Evo X
I have a ultimate racing 3" turbo back with test pipe, and I think it sounds incredible 👌
I really love the HKS Hi-Power single on my Evo X, kinda helps with the weight problem also.
Sounds great at lower RPM, only draw back for me personally is the droning when you're off throttle at around 3-4k RPM but also sounds great at WOT or at least accelerating.

Where did u purchase it
@@Ollvin10 MAperformance
Would it fit a lancer 2009 gts ?
I have Greddy on my Evo X. Great sound and love the looks of it.
I went with a dual N1 from invidia. It's a thing of beauty.
Love my ETS V3 extreme with resonated test pipe and open dump down pipe I like to wake my neighbors at 6am 😂
hows the drone?
i didnt resonate my test pipes so i know how that cold start sounds hahahaha
Love my HKS Hi Power Dual 🙌🏽
Isn’t it upower
Oh nvm sorry
bit heavy tho
@@aestheticswim3397 definitely. I'd consider a Tomei to reduce weight, but the HKS is a nice option for a street setup.
@@peterking4173 i hate the big cannon tips that the Tomei has,it looks too ricey, but the proformance is there so, BAKA
I got a tomei on my X and it’s aggressive and sounds really loud with my all down pipe exhaust and HKS blow off... I’m loving it😬
Do they have a tomei that dual exit bc really not a fan of single
I’m thinking of getting one, is it too obnoxious?

Thanks Anthony! It's on our list!

I really like my Cobb exhaust. I'd much rather get a quieter catback and run a downpipe and HFC for more gains without being too loud.
i have the ETS V3 EXTREME love how it sounds no cat no resonator
I've had Invidia single exit, Cobb quad tip, manzo dual exit (top speed knock off), hks hi power dual, and Tomei. My favorite is Tomei and Manzo.
I’ve had the dual Cobb, magnaflow and CNT. I now have the Manzo and love it.
Great info. Keep up the EVO X content. By the way I have the Invidia N1. I like the look of the single exhaust. Also when I installed the test pipe with it it is the perfect volume. Not too loud when cruising but the volume doubles when in full boost.

I love that he kept saying put on our test pipe, while talking about a turbo’d vehicle. Turbo = down pipe / NA - test pipe.
Thanks for using my flyby clip!
Thank you Jonathan!!
My brother has the Borla exhaust on his x and that thing sounds badass
This is very useful beacuse now i know the things that i will never own

personally love the sound, look and performance of my Evo X Agency Power dual Exhaust
I got the ets extreme w/ stock dp and cat. Let’s just say on certain downshifts it sounds like a pack of C4 is going off behind you...
Grat Video MAP. I run the Tomei on mine. It sounds amazing if you're still on the stock turbo, Manifold, DP, TP. However, it opens up so well when I slapped the ETS GTX3584 kit and AMS resonated TP.

Should put borla exhaust they sound great

Hks is where its at. Need you of those. Would like to see my Evo X parts
I've got the HKS with a full 3" downpipe and hi flow cat from AMS

Tomei 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Tomei the world
i have AMS full titanium exhaust. it’s been discontinued 😌
That's a good one! How long have you been using it?
MrJonBreezy a year and a half. only thing i don’t like it hangs low (but looks good) so you can scrape it easily
Choose Tomei and you will be surprised
QIU LA surprised with what? AMS is better and is discontinued. besides most people go with tomei
