Goku Black as long the intake maf stays stock you dont need a tune. Once you do a boost controller or test pipe then that changes things. Downpipe definitely needs tuning. Also if going to the 3.5” intake you need tuning to scale the maf.
Hi, I have Ams, on a trackdays sometimes looks like that engine not getting cool enough , and it has originally 300hp , maybe there is any better options to get more cool air in to it? ✌️
You should add that the ETS intake offers a 3.5in MAF housing that lets you run bigger stock frame turbos and hit 500whp. It’s a great intake to run on the stock turbo and you’ll still be able to use it if your goal is to upgrade to a bigger stock frame like a gtx3576r Gen2 down the road
I have AEM paired with cobb turbo inlet, best setup for NY works great and have never heard a complaint from anyone with that combo. Forum research led me to that selection.
I recommend tuning for any type of mod from an intake to a exaust and everything between it. Pressure in pipe change depending on size and shape. so tune is recommended as soon as a mecanical mod is done to the car. I know my evo x whit injen intake ran a bit lean on oem map setting.
Instead of pulling hot air from the engine bay with a Short Ram Intake, spend the extra money and get the AMS Performance Cold Air Intake (Air Filter sits in LF Fender-Well), along with the LF Fog Lamp Mesh Screen. Doing this alone dropped my intake temps between 10F-20F degrees (depends on outside air temps). Plus, there's a lot less "Hot Air Turbo Blues" when it's hot outside (there's none of that when also running E85)!!
@@maperformance Thanks.. funny thing is every week i've been getting it should be done, or will be done.. and then when I call yeah maybe next week. Last week said the next phone call should be today Monday NOV 8, 2021 telling you that its good to come and be picked up.. I told the person on the phone, we shall see. But thanks for supplying me with good parts
So if I build a an evo 10 for around 450 to 500 to the wheel what do I need and would it be reliable ? Im new to evos and I'm looking forward for buying one by the end of the yesr
callmeFlly no need to build the bottom for just 500. It’s been accomplished for years even over 650whp. You just need to understand where the tq comes in and don’t lug the motor. Torque is what breaks the rod bolts and twists the rods.
I don't know anything about evos. I'm a Honda guy but it's being a while that I'm looking for something awd and turbo. With what mods I can accomplish 450whp?
Any word on modifying your 3.5" or 3" Map intakes for use on a Ralliart without having to do the battery relocation? I would be game for that, mated to my blouch xt turbo.. Great Video Map!!
MAPerformance ralliart are getting recognition lately I got ams intake definitely wanted to see if map had one intake where we wouldn’t need to relocate battery just how aem does
Have one of these intakes on your Evo X?? Let us know how you're enjoying it!
Are you sure there is no tuning required on your intake? i thought you need to tune period on any intake install.
For your last video, you didn’t put the link for the wheel spacers for the Evo X

We linked them now! Thank you.

I would have recommended the AEM unit, beyond stout and the best engineering team by a long shot
yip this is why i went with AEM as its enclosed also a proper colder feed when at the lights ready to dust the guy next to you
Indeed, all these hot air intakes might breath a bit better but less cold air is better than more hot air.

Had to do a double take as a clip from my channel made it in here haha 🤘
Thanks Jackson!
I have the AMS intake. I love it!!!! I noticed a difference after install. It doesn’t hurt that it looks amazing in polished as well.
Running the AMS intake. Fit and finish are excellent imo. No complaints here. Also running their fmic and uicp. Great products.
Couldn't agree more!
Ets intake here. Looks and sounds great. Really happy with it
Solid choice!!
ETS sounds awesome and performs well made 340 wheel when paired with turbo back Exsaust and a boost controller
ETS makes some amazing parts for these cars!
I have 3 inch map performance intake and its amazing.
Thanks Rob!!
K&N Typhoon intake
ETS intake and call it a day, upgrade to 3.5 maf for big turbo and its still good, not many other intakes have that option

great top 5 evo X intake video really enjoyed it

any floods, your cars munted
I have the K&N one and wondering if I should go with one of these instead
I bought the ETS, Hope to get my EVO back next week, motor went. I miss doing videos
Great choice! Hopefully you get it back up and running soon!

No AEM? Closed for the X is best
K&N is good o not ??? What’s your thinking about this one
My MAP exasght manifold on my evo x I just bought blew up and it is only pushing stock power :(
Sf was a question in your video
It stands for short flow.
Crazy how the 3.5 map intake was 350 now its 450
We need a evo 8-9 video

Stock motor will do just fine on 450/500 horsepower.
Likewise what Ryan said. I would recommend at least building the bottom end if you want to push 500hp

Benjamin Sides stock bottom good for 650whp

Who makes the heat shield @ 1:35 ?

Not sure that is on our radar, feel free to give us a call! We might be able to work something out for you.

Cobb doesnt come with a heatshield... i had to build myself one or else you have problems when the AC is running. Heads up on that
Cobb has the sf intake box
The thing I never understood is why people call short ram intakes a cold air intake.
I'm looking for a street legal intake that will pass smog. What do you guys recommend?
Give us a shout! sales@maperformance.com
They Forgot Mention the STM one
Does installing an intake requires tuning the car?
jc inocando yes you need to tune the car
