Depends on the storage lol if you have the 128gb then good luck making it last 7 years lol I mean yes theoretically yes it could last that long it just needs to have higher storage options like 1tb

Don't be rigid, that's, if it's 128, then it's that's only for.life or so, we've alternatives for storage and options to keep necessary in G photos, no ones intend to keep all the craps to be in phone for 7 long years, necessary are easily uploaded with G Photos, Drive etc. So if you want to, you can till the phones let's u use in.

It's not necessarily fair to compare the 8 when on sale to the 8a at full MSRP. Realistically, when both devices are on sale, the 8 will be $499 and the 8a will likely sell for $374 (which is what the 7a went on sale for). With a price difference of $125, to me at least, it makes a lot more sense to go with the 8

That blue colour has become somehow a kind of an hallmark for Pixels. Very often ppl are asking me what phone this is. I ordered mine as a replacement for very used Galaxy s10e. I choose this Pixel because it's very comfortable in hand due to the round corners. I love these bezels and it's size, it is almost the same as my s10e I used to. Perfect shape, colour, and a great deal in Europe. For the rest specs, that's even too much for me. I like it has not overpowered processor so it can keep some more battery. I don't need that.

I think google always tries to catch early adopters with as high of a price as possible for the 1st month and then regularly have their phones on some kind of sale. They know the 8a isnt a smart purchase at $500. But they know some people will jump on it for that price. Especially with trade ins. They wouldn't put their products on sale so fast if they thought otherwise. The 8a will def be on sale within a mnth or 2 for 100-$150 off. Especially during the holidays or whenever they announce the pixel 9 lineups.

Watch out. I bought the Pixel 8a expecting decent quality (I had a 5a & 3a). The cool tone and the purple color shift off axis is horrible. This guy is one of the ONLY ONES who have brought it up. It's a deal breaker for me and it's a bigger deal then I think it sounds. The color shifts when you type. So it's really very slight shifts off axis (movement from phone while typing for example). I just can't live with it.

The most out of touch and incorrect comment of all time. oversized? 6.1" is smaller than literally *most* of the modern phone market in this day. Featureless? LMAO, it has everything you could need and some very useful features that excel in comparison to some other phones. The features it lacks are not necessities, nobody wants Samsung's weird AR emoji for example lol. You seem needlessly biased considering you've reviewed much larger phones and considered them good.

THANK YOU for that bit around the 2 minute mark about the panel variance. Sure, on PAPER they look the same, but I always noticed that the a-series had worse viewing angles and not as bright, even if they claimed it. Hell, even in store earlier this week I saw all 3 next to each other, the 8a, 8 and 8 Pro, and I thought the 8 looked the best when it came to color volume/perceived brightness. I typically prefer a cooler temperature screen, and while the 8 Pro looked cooler, the 8 just looked brighter to me.

You just gained a sub! I've seen some other tech channels claim that the phones feel premium, this is not the case. I have both and the 8a feels incredibly cheap. Photos in the 8a look very poor in comparison to the 8. The video on the 8a has a ton of chopiness.
