    Here's the thing: the Pixel 8 is a very big phone, because every phone in 2024 is a very big phone. It's just that what we now consider to be "big" is actually gigantic. I think some people have forgotten that we used to use phones with 4 inch screens.

    • @garickalien3158
      @garickalien3158 9 месяцев назад +3

      I think Steve Jobs's iPhon 4 size is a benchmark, super convenient - you can reach any place on the screen without shifting it in your hands. The keyboard is concise and super convenient, watch RUclips - ok, there is a front-facing camera - it was convenient to use all the functions. Why users prefer shovels is not clear to me now.

      The Pixel 4a is perfect size, but no support anymore. But the Pixel 8 is not bad, but the I would prefer the Pixel 4a size for sure.

    Ive been using the 8pro since launch. I did buy a s24+ but i keep coming back to the pixel because of the software and call screening. That feature alone has given me so much relief.

    What are people saying when they say a phone has become their daily phone? Do they literally have multiple phones lying around as if it were shoes? And if so, wtf why?

    • @cruiselifeeric
      @cruiselifeeric 6 месяцев назад +1

      This guy does smartphone review videos for this channel. So it would make sense that he would have multiple phones at a given time. There wouldn't be much for him to review and make content on if he was your typical consumer that uses the same smartphone for 3+ years at a time.
      Aside from that, some people when they get a new phone will keep their previous phone as a backup, in case something ever happens to the new phone they have their backup phone to use right away. It's actually a good idea. And there are some who are enthusiasts who like trying out different phones and seeing the different features smartphones have.

Best sounding Android phone I have used so far. Call quality on Google Fi is solid. It has also been very reliable so far. Love the camera overall but miss Samsung's moon shot feature. Heyy so it's been like almost 6 months after this comment. Would like to know if you've starting to face any issues or its still going great with pixel 8? What would you suggest after using it for this long?

    • @muhammad-bin-american
      @muhammad-bin-american 3 месяца назад

      @@starkspirit Hi, thanks for reaching out. Yes the Pixel 8A is still my main daily phone. Absolutely no issue. I have received lots of updates with no issues. It has handled everything I threw. I must point out that am a light user. I do not game at all.
      There are a few things I will like to see improved: Battery life can be better. SOC is probably fine but idle time needs improvement. It needlessly consumes a lot of battery when idle. I don't like the stock Pixel launcher mainly because of the Google search bar that cannot be changed or removed. But that can easily be solved by installing a different launcher. Its why we love Android.
      I got another freee phone from Google (Yeah Google loves me LOL) and I plan to give the 8A to my son. I'l probably get the Pixel 9 by December. Honestly the Pixel phones are great and it will be tough for me to switch to Samsung anytime soon. I may give the smaller players a try because I believe in fair competition.
