if instead of that crappy ultrawide camera, there would have been a camera with optical zoom, it would have been excellent, and this also applies to the simple iPhone , and if google would return to snapdragon processors or at least mediatec pixel it would be the best phone
Oh my god. You have eagle eyes man, thanks for pointing out the error. Part of the comparison I did, and saved the pictures in the same folder like an idiot.
Every phone heats up and whats makes us not notice the heat in other phones is the cooling vapour chamber. Pixel 8 and older pixels dont have vapour cooling chamber if only google could could bring this it would make the phone felt much less heated. Bisides is feel tensor G3 conpared to older tensor is doing a pretty good job.
Yes, a lack of vapour chamber cooling is a flaw. A phone heating up in normal non-intense usage while any other phone price range doesn't, is sadly a flaw. Tensor G3 may be better than the tensor G2, but it is nowhere near Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 (which is almost a two year old processor at this point), let alone 8 Gen2 or 8 Gen3. I really want to like the pixel, but such flaws can bother people who want a reliable phone.

Lot of negativities are hovering on the surface in case of Pink Line on screen, heating issues, Network problem, etc. Since the price has been slashed half of it launched price(Not sure if this price drop is because of Made in India). It sounds dreadful if pixel 8 is going to be a recipient of the above issues. Please help with your suggestion.
I would say if you want a simple phone with absolutely no issues, get the S23. The best possible phone that I can freely recommend. If you like what Google does better, (camera, software and battery), then go for Pixel 8, given that you are not a Jio user. Thanks for the appreciation! Hope this helps.
Go for Pixel 8 if u want clear experience, once u get the device update and reset it, then drain the battery completely and then charge it full, u won't face heating issues after this. For 3 years, primarily for clicking pictures Pixel 8 is pretty amazing. I would recommend to wait for a price drop. If you don't have a problem with a 60Hz display, then even the iPhone 15 is an excellent option. Cameras have been amazing on the iPhone 15. No AI there though.

Hi. I’ve been reading reviews about how the phone has consistently had network and connectivity issues, with the likes of Jio sims, where there is a constant drop from 5g to 4g and also a lack of 5g connectivity when indoors! What’s your experience been like regarding this? Right now I’ve got an option of either upgrading from my moto edge 40 to the pixel 8 or wait for the price to drop on the pixel 9 and then buy that, probably around the same time next year! The moto has had heating issues and battery drains quickly, gets warm on regular 5g use and the the camera has been disappointing. I don’t particularly game on my phone, it’s more about the usual daily use and photography. Would love your inputs as all the research I’ve been doing has driven me mad.
There are issues with Jio. The coverage isn't good. Airtel hasn't had any issues. I honestly wouldn't recommend it if you don't plan on moving to Airtel. It does heat up over 5G usage, but the camera, software, display and battery life are pretty worth it.
Bro Which one should I but S23 or Pixel 8 both of them I am getting for 40k ? I play games for 1-2 hours, need good camera, going to use it for 3-4 years...
Don't know about pixel 8 but this video and this mans storytelling is on point....❤ *That end was much like a climax of a great movie Felt like a monologue🙌 #keepgrowing 🎉
My usage is watching youtube and movies... some video calls...Whats app, calls and no gaming...could I purchase pixel 8 according to my usage? By the way great video Gaurang❤❤❤
If you're going to be fine with the heat up now and then while it is being used over WiFi, you'll be fine. In the end I mentioned exactly who should buy the phone and who shouldn't.
I won't say there is a red tint. Inaccuracy of skin tones can show up during the situations where the light is weird. Network issues are mostly limited to jio.
Would you get this now on the upcoming sale for under 35k? I'm thinking to get this over the Moto edge 50 neo, if you don't think me spending over 10k is worth on the pixel I'll stick to the neo. But if you think the overall experience will be flagship on the 8 then I'll get the 8. PS: I have the budget for either
Please get the Pixel instead of Moto. Under 35k is a great price for Pixel. I would even say if you're a Jio user, port to Airtel, but buy this phone instead of moto.
@@GauraangAroraI am a jio user 😂 Thank you for the advice, I hope the battery life lasts atleast 6 hrs with medium usage like camera, insta and RUclips and music
Bro, I genuinely want a good advice. I have to get a compact phone. I’m currently using iPhone XS, so something similar to this size. I’ve got some options, all of them with some issues :( S24, all well, but exynos? Heating and battery backup(5g battery drain?) also, getting this for around 61k. Pixel 8, tensor? Lag, Battery backup and the missing telephoto lens? Iphone 15 - 60 hertz display, 2hrs for full charge, and missing telephoto lens. Battery found to be less than or equal to s24? Can also consider for s23, but ‘ek saal purana ho gaya’. And ip15pro doesn’t seem to be a bang for buck this year, specially for the battery backup and heating issues with the chip. I have no issues in switching from apple to android, since I’m not in an “ecosystem”. Just want a good phone for daily usage - socials, youtube, web surfing, maps etc. I don’t play games on phone. TLDR - which phone to choose between S24/P8/iP15.
Honestly S24 is better than expected. And the iPhone 15 Pro is extremely reliable. The talk of overheating was long ago. It has been fixed for the most part and the phone has been one of the most reliable pieces of tech I have used since launch. In fact, that's also the next review I'm working on. And based on your usage, I would even recommended Pixel 8, just wait for a price drop, no better value than that for your use case.
@@GauraangArora thanks for replying man! Much appreciated. So it’s basically, iP15pro - if I could extend my purse Pixel 8 - at USA pricing (549$~₹47k) But S24? Better than expected, I mean people had fairly low expectations for exynos 2400 and better than expected could still not be at par with competition or for the price :) So, should I wait for P8 price-drop/someone coming from US to grab me an Ip. Or go on with S24, like, right now!? What would you have chosen?
The only thing I don't like about S24 is the camera and the heat. The rest of it is pretty good. Performance is incredible. But yes, if you can get the pixel 8 for a great price nothing like it. If you can't bring yourself to get either, just get the 15 Pro. Super safe choice. Or wait for my review for it and then take the decision.

if instead of that crappy ultrawide camera, there would have been a camera with optical zoom, it would have been excellent, and this also applies to the simple iPhone , and if google would return to snapdragon processors or at least mediatec pixel it would be the best phone
You have used s23 shot in your first camera sample broo!👀
Oh my god. You have eagle eyes man, thanks for pointing out the error. Part of the comparison I did, and saved the pictures in the same folder like an idiot.
Superb indepth review Bro
i love the way you review the pixel 8 hazel 😊👍🏾👍🏾
@@GauraangArora would you recommend trading pixel 8 for samsung s23. Would it be a good trade off. I love stock around but too tempted to get s23 as it has snapdragon 8 gen2.
@@irfanazeez19 if the heat is bothering you too much then yes. No AI and the camera will be a downgrade, but everything else will be an upgrade. But, why don't you try to trade in for the S24?
@@GauraangArora s24 has the Exynos processor, I am afraid eventually it would be same as tensor G3 or heating issues might come up.
@@GauraangArora When the phone heat-up in normal non-intense usage does that phone lags or anything or its just feel warm in hand?
I'm using pixel 3 and the 2x photo still looks awesome and have great amount of details
That could be true, but based on my experience and comparisons, the 2x zoom is crazy good on the pixel 8.
Loved your review . Big billion days are coming up . what should i go for S23 fe or pixel 8 I need a better camera and fluid performance , occasional gamer pls suggest
Thanks! Go for the Pixel 8.
is it good deal under 40k? compared to s23 .. better camera?/ for photography ..
It is better in terms of camera. So if that is the priority, yes, it'll be a great deal under 40k.
"Great review!
However, I have one question: At the 9:22 mark, you mention a 50 MP primary camera. How can I use it on my Pixel 8? Is there any specific setting or app I need to use?"
I don't think it's possible on Pixel 8. Thanks for the appreciation!
Honesty is refreshing
i used pixel for gaming and i gotta say in codm, when i games for about 1hr30m it didn't heat up even above 35°. i play on low graphics and 60fps because honestly nobody but tryhard gamers need all that. the performance was also very good
im not much of a gamer too but i have to say, if you take gaming seriously then pixel might not be for you. it's those phones that gets the job done and very good. just not the best.
Which one is better for camera? Pixel 8 or Samsung S23???
Pixel 8
Very nice job and I really like my Pixel 8 , but if you use it on mobile data all day the battery life isn't very good . I do wonder how this phone will handle it when summer shows it face and the temp goes up.
Thank you! And yes, a very valid reason to be worried for.
So how it beared the heat of summer... Right now its 32k in sale... Is it worth buying or i go for s23.... Does this phone overheats while making prolonged videos?
@@Atul0420 I ended up selling The Pixel 8 as I think the modem was not very good and so if you work in it office no problem probably if you're on Wi-Fi all day but for my job I'm out and around all day so it just didn't work for me so I ended up getting an s24 which as a much better modem and so no heating problems or connecting problems.
@@jejunamja i have to use it on mobile data all day... I play games occasionally... But my main concern is does this mobile survive 4-5 years android updates... Is it capable of it... Does it heat on day today tasks and on mobile data too? Is it bear summers of india? Or cause problem in summers?
@@Atul0420 I wouldn't recommend the Pixel 8 for somebody that's on mobile data all day as it does tend to run warm doing daily tasks or especially if you're watching videos and if you play games you can for sure it's going to get warm . And I can't imagine in 2 years how it's going to be cuz it's not great right now so I would look elsewhere and especially in India where I don't think Google supports its phone very well what about a OnePlus 12 r what's the price like in India for that I think that would be a better choice
@GauraangArora From where did you bought the T-shirt?
Uniqlo
@Gauraang , you earned a subscriber! I have a budget of 35k, I am sneaking at BDD 24 to buy a phone. However, I superbly perplexed among the drooling offers and different YTBRS reviews for the pixel 8, s23 Fe, and s23.
@@GauraangArora Bought s23, I appreciate your help.
Go for Pixel 8 if u want clear experience, once u get the device update and reset it, then drain the battery completely and then charge it full, u won't face heating issues after this. I followed the same steps, and have been playing games no heating issue, bettery backup is not good as Xiaomi phones, u get 5-6 hour SOT.
. Why did you say if you're jio user? Does the pixel 8 not catch good network with jio?
@@roswarmth jio is usually pretty bad on iPhones and Pixels.
Which one would you recommend for balanced overall caneracentric phone for usage of 3 years , previously i was a huawei p30 pro user.
Lovely review. Very real
Thank you!
That's what i call a proper review 👍
Thank you!
@@GauraangArora welcome brother but still confused in 50k budget which one to buy
Yes it heats up a lot. I love my p8 but heating issues are bothering me a lot. I am not a heavy user but watching videos will heat up this phone. Not sure if Google can fix this with updates.
Yes, that's not going to change with updates.
How to disable live photo settings.?
Way to go bro
Amazing reviews
Thank you!
Love my pixel 8...
Can we click pics in 50mp?
Bhai heating issue hota hai kiya?
@@Aliens-b1f yes it has . And pubg also some lags but if you get in under for 40k it's okay you can enjoy camera and all . But if you r a person just for gaming it's not that great 3.5/5

Honest review!!! Going to buy another phone thanks from Pakistan bhai
google take risk of performance they can use snapdragon for performance like they were doing in previous pixels but they take this chipset tensor step because they know the bright future of tensor. whenever new things are made it take times to stablize same thing is going with tensor and as you know the upcoming tensor g5 google have long vision they know that this heatings throttle will happened two to three generatiion but after that ... something big happened
The fingerprint sensor not working may be a result of another AppLock you may be using, my 6a does that too if i lock my screen when the AppLock prompt is on.
If you dont have any applock, let me know please.
I don't use app lock.
@GauraangArora Oh right!
So overall, it would be a clear step up from the Moto Edge 40?
@kironkamath it will be. Given that you get it at an excellent price.
@@GauraangArora I'm getting it at around 40k
is there any network issue bro? like unable to connect calls?.. n is it worth for INR 40k in flipkart now?
On Airtel, not so much. And for 40k, if display, design, software and camera are the priority, then yes, it's a good deal.
Bro Which one should I but S23 or Pixel 8 both of them I am getting for 40k ?
I play games for 1-2 hours, need good camera, going to use it for 3-4 years...
S23 just because you plan to keep it for long, and because you need to game.
Don't know about pixel 8 but this video and this mans storytelling is on point....❤
*That end was much like a climax of a great movie
Felt like a monologue🙌
#keepgrowing 🎉
I'm so glad you loved it! Thank you for all the kind words.
Thanks for the reply ❤
Thanks for the review. Can you please tell about red tint and inaccurate skin tone on pixel 8 and also heating and jio network issues.
I won't say there is a red tint. Inaccuracy of skin tones can show up during the situations where the light is weird. Network issues are mostly limited to jio.
@@GauraangArora Thank you bro.
Which device you choose if you have an option between pixel 8 or samsung s23?
@@GauraangArora and is there any option to turn off real tone setting in pixel 8?
I got the 256GB P8 variant for INR 39k in FK BBD 2024 sale. How's it at that price point?
Excellent!
How is performance of your new phone bro! I am also planning to purchase it. All I worry about is the battery performance.
@@GauraangAroraI am a jio user 😂
Thank you for the advice, I hope the battery life lasts atleast 6 hrs with medium usage like camera, insta and RUclips and music
Bro, I genuinely want a good advice. I have to get a compact phone. I’m currently using iPhone XS, so something similar to this size. I’ve got some options, all of them with some issues :(
S24, all well, but exynos?
So it’s basically,
iP15pro - if I could extend my purse
Pixel 8 - at USA pricing (549$~₹47k)
But S24? Better than expected, I mean people had fairly low expectations for exynos 2400 and better than expected could still not be at par with competition or for the price :)
So, should I wait for P8 price-drop/someone coming from US to grab me an Ip.
@@GauraangArora sounds great, will wait for your video then. Thanks for clearing the clouds out.
