What an interesting time we live in! As a Pico 4 (and Quest 3) user, I would like to upgrade my Pico 4 to the Ultra. The pass-through on the old Pico 4 is poor compared to the Quest 3-I've been spoiled by Meta's device. I no longer use my devices for gaming; my main uses are fitness and watching movies or other media.
good video with detailed content! You're talking about Inseye Lumi as an optional eye-tracking feature for Quest headsets. I am very curious about this and hope that Meta will take the same step as in the case of Bhabtics to create a general and official optional upgrade for face and eye tracking in cooperation with the manufacturer and thus keep the entry price of their own headset low (without having to integrate face and eye tracking directly implementated but optional).
Well done, this headset quest 3S seems to be perfect for mass market and an incredible upgrade from Quest 2 (btw don't forget Quest 2 would be 400$ today if we take into account inflation); hell the Quest 2 was actually 400$ for a time some months after promo release, which technically would be worth 500$ today
I am thinking of buying the meta ray bans, i would like to know if i should wait to see if there is a newer version one coming out this month or just the current one.
IMO I say its worth the wait until Meta Connect 2024. It'll be the same model, but they'll offer even more customization with frame styles and colorways to choose from. I don't own a pair of Meta Ray-Bans yet, and I'm holding out for the 2025 model because it's supposed to have a built-in mini viewfinder. AI features to me are still a bit of a gimmick.
When you consider hand held intel gaming systems like the Lenovo legion Go, a long term a partnership between Lenovo and meta could eventually result in a portable headset running Horizon and being capable of PCVR on the same hardware.
I think the biggest upgrade this generation is the chip set. Given the option, would you take pancake lenses without the new chips set and not be able to play games like Batman I doubt it.
I would just a matter of preference. The slightly larger FOV with a clearer display does wonders to the overall use of the headset. It goes from just a gaming console, to a passable media viewing/productivity device. Batman should be able to run on Q2 at a lower resolution, but you'll have to fix installation directories with exporting the APK/OBBs. A guy ported over Beat Saber to Pico 4. Just a matter of effort.
@@sixtacos you would have to do more than lower the resolution a little bit you would have to drop the frame rate and then use ASW which re-projection comes with its own problems and looks like crap. I don’t think it will run at least not an enjoyable experience on the quest 2. As a Quest 3 user pancake lenses, are nice, but I would much rather have better games and see the industry move forward. The lenses aren’t gonna do any of that they’re just gonna make the current crappy games look a little better. The Quest 3 update for games like Saints and Sinners does a lot more for that game visually because of the chip set then the lenses do.
Meta will discontinue support por the meta quest pro? Im interested in the controllers and face tracjing to use in standaalone idr care about mixed reality but they can stop support when the headseat its just almost 2 years old
In v67 they did rollout improvements to Quest Pro's eye tracking (July 8). I doubt they drop support, but who knows. Dropping support for Quest Pro would be in a similar vain to Quest 2 using XR2 Gen1. And I doubt Meta abandons their largest active user base.
With new coming quest update optimizing black by reducing white light, I don’t think there is a need to rush in needing OLED because it will mimic through software. I demo the Apple Vision Pro and didn’t see much of a difference with OLED either. Hope meta partners with companies to add eye tracking accessory and other accessories to attach to quest 3/3s allowing us to upgrade what we already have to reach quest pro 2 would be like.

Im canadian and i upgraded my quest 1 to a quest 3 best buy in years

There is a big difference between 600 times the price and 600% the price.
I thought I said the other one in my head. I guess I didn't lmao

I have a Quest 3 but I need a lighter Quest for my mom. She likes the travel apps. If the 3s is lighter, I’m in!

Baby Ray and Smugsworth vs the Metaverse!

Loved my meta Ray-Ban for the two months they worked :/ head phones were great
Damn, sorry to hear that. Did they break? Because earlier I did read reports of the glasses randomly cracking due to use.

I’d love for Pico to start selling their headsets with Horizon Os in America. That headset seems promising but their OS is lacking imo.
Imagine gorilla tag but on the pico, that would be insane, but that will only happend if they use horizon os

Will this be for quest 2 as well?
Quest 2 is long gone get your hands on a quest 3
I would get the Lite but not with the frenel lenses....smh
fresnel lenses are actually pretty comfortable so i dont get our point
isn't quest pro 2 cancelled ?
Rumors have been circulating for a while that the Quest Pro 2 would be canceled. This latest news just seems to confirm that it won't be coming out.
The 3s is pointless. $500 isn't even that expensive, you can hardly get a phone for that price.
A vr Headset is a gimmicky product people usually dont use too much
@@CptAloevera a phone is overpriced and gimmicky, $1000-$2000 to watch RUclips vids and fight on X
