The last and probably worst option is to cast to your phone and then try to direct phone cast your screen to your tv but this is usually the most laggy and terrible way to do it.
I bought so many accessories for my Quest 2. Many I never used for very long. This time around, I accessorized with more thought. I bought the rubber face interface and the wrist straps. I am still using a Vive audio strap. I bought a little $2 hose holder at Walmart, and I use that to hang up my headset on the wall. My most expensive accessory is the Murphy bed I built for the extra room to move.
Ey, finally :3 Great video. However this seems intersting to me (17:14) because I looked in depth into this product and I haven't seen anybody mentioning this issue you have. People like this strap and even I don't have this issue with it. So far I couldn't try how long it can charges the headset (which btw you forgot to mention) because my Q3 haven't arrived yet but from what I've seen people like this battery strap. For price of 35€ from Aliexpress it seems like a decent product.
I'm glad it's working for you. Do you extend it out for glasses much? That's when I find the light bleed is really noticeable, at max extension. It would be a fine interface if I just never used the extension abilities I feel like.
There's light bleed at 2 out of the 3 settings. Even with custom lenses I couldn't use the closest setting. It created a weird non-circular view for me when I was too close. I had to back it off to the middle setting even without glasses to make it feel normal. I taped up all the holes on my AMVR. Super jank, but it is the best we can do with current offerings.

For me, I got the amvr facial interface and I really like it. I only really use the quest for myself and only keep it on the furthest in setting. once it was in it was in and I've has no problems with it. also super comfortable 🤷♀️

I don't know man maybe you should just consider buying a powerbank and some good third party elite strap, since m3 is not delivering enough power.. I rock such getup and coudn't complain less seriously
Trick is to find own that has USB-C PD (power delivery) that can output at 9 or 12 volts. None of the ones that output at 5 volts can keep up with the power draw.
I had to actually return my AMVR Facial Interface cause it was causing the proximity sensor to not think the headset was on randomly as I used it. Thought my headset was dying at first so that was slightly scary.
So I got the same white RGB battery strap for free from my Amazon Vine account and to my suprise I actually kind of dig it lol, I might feel different if I spent money on it. Mine has a gear that works properly, but the back head cushion does sometimes come undone on one side 😂 It only really helps my quest 3 battery stay up if its already at more than 70%, but I find it way more comfortable than other elite straps due to the counterweight of that heavy ass battery. Gonna try a halo strap next that's similar to the Bobo that I also got for free 🎉😊 Great video!

It depends on how you define big problems. If you're doing mixed reality the battery on the headset can last as little as 100 mins. The BoboVR batteries can give you an extra hour-90 mins but they can't keep the headset charged and running if the battery is already low. It's really crucial to make sure your Quest 3 is charged before any play session basically.
Well for me the official meta cable is keeping the headset charged at the same percent the i started maybe a few missing but im seeing artifacs with it like an L shaped screen teering
Another RUclipsr recommended the rgb battery pack. But I'm glad i checked yours out to see the strap is crap. I heard the battery life is good at least.

I feel you there for fitness! I used the BoboVR m1 on my quest 2 with supernatural for a long time. They just made an updated one for Quest 3 I'm about to review. Big question is do you want a battery strap or no if it's just fitness? The Aubika elite and kiwi elite both come to mind as good options, but I haven't tried the kiwi q3 version yet.

I don't get the halo strap fans. I understand the question of comfort, but every halo strap I've tried lets the headset shake like crazy with the slightest motion.
@@jerrodshack7610 the key for me is to push the lenses in to where they still apply some pressure to the facial interface, but nothing near what the stock presses. Then you end up with multiple points of contact helping it stay steadier... If you hate bounce though elite straps are the way to go
I'd say wait just to see if they drop a 256gb Quest 3 for the same price as the 128 currently is. That's what happened at Quest 2 launch. There was a 64gb and a 256, but later they replaced the 64 with a 128 for the same price. 128 is small for these Quest 3's I'm seeing. Mine is always full and I'm constantly uninstalling and reinstalling games.
If you already have a Q2, just know that NONE of the games, songs, etc that you purchased will transfer. You have to buy them again. You can share from the Q2, however your high scores will not transfer to the Q3. You must have a FB/Meta admin. account for each device. 😢
i bougt the AMVR facial interface and i have zero issies that you have but that might be because i have it all the way in anyway. i use it with the Aubika strap and love it. Zero issue.
Fingers crossed for you! Either way at least Meta has acknowledged it and they'll probably have to add an extra long warranty like they did on Quest 2 Elite's so you can always get it replaced.

test the "cap clip" and end the online debate on "is it safe?". unreleated the est battery for me so far for quest 3 was the 20,ooo mah 20w bank from anker (with coupon its 39$) the 10,000 30w wasnt enough (maybe 2.5 hours). im tttng 5-6 hours (battery alone with hmd at 100% at death with all high power options turned on,pcvr streaming with passthrough) on the 20,000 mah. i wouldnt go smaller

AMVR is oddly working on another set of grips already too. They managed to put out a first round of accessories pretty quickly but seem to have a V2 of everything coming that hopefully will all be better. The AMVR interface is actually one of the best we have so far, but the keywords being SO FAR. Nothing has said yet "you need to spend $40 on me". It feels like we're close to the right interface coming at least. Yeah a couple battery straps have dropped I want to try including the now Kiwi Battery straps, Panda and so many others lol

As i need, from time to time, to let other people test our immersive movies (v-nova presenzvr, new amazing 6DoF movies coming soon), i needed a washable facial interface. At the moment i’ve still not found the “definitive one” (while I had a good one on the Quest 2), and i’ve purchased an on/off silicon cover, that I remove when using myself. I recommend the INIU Portable Charger, 22.5W 20000mAh. It has worked great for me. I have gotten more than 12 hours of playtime without charging it if I use the USB cables that comes with the Quest. I got the one that comes with the LED display that shows charge percentage so I can keep it between 80-20% so the battery stays healthy for years from now.
I just got the amvr facial interface its one of the only comfortable ones until kiwi or vr cover come out with one those drop ship ones have thin tile sponge padding and with clam shell headstraps i need wide memory foam to fit the contours of my face. With halo straps does the padding press on your face or more just to block lightbleed? I just get kiwi comfort straps since i play mostly active games. Also for a battery pack charmast 10k millamp costs only 27 CAD and keeps it charged and for grips i got destek 15 CAD so far i like them better than my q2 kiwi ones. Keep up the good content man

The AMVR facial interface is terrible. It wouldn't keep the distance adjustment locked in, and to fix it I would have to take the interface off the headset. Which was often. It just doesn't fit my face very well either. The forehead angle was weird. I fought with that thing for a few months, and just went back to the stock one. It works fine. Just wish it had vent holes. Time to break out the drill.

Hows the FOV with the halo style straps? Being that the headset is not pressed against your face like with the non-halo straps which usually gives you a huge boost in FOV, even if we're talking millimeters.

That's interesting that's the issue for you. Most people say the halo straps move too much and they want the elite due to that. Every head shape is different! I personally love halos no matter what but I've seen people who hate them and love elites.
i was weary of using my link cable because of quest 3 guzzling battery life faster than an H3 with all the upgrades, but i was using my link cable yesterday for about 6 hours without issue, so the quest is able to maintain a charge while plugged in. now, i plugged mine into a thunderbolt port which are capable of higher power profiles so not sure if that helped given its still a USBC cable at the end of the day (fiber optic still has some tech in the plugs so maybe it can up power if available). maybe its just the type of port that was keeping me around 75% for most of the time (which i think is roughly what i started with) but i didnt have to stop playing
That tab on the silicone interface pushes against the inside of nose part and keeps it from moving around when you have the headset on. I have that exact item and it works great, way better than the previous one I had. The fact that you dismissed it out of hand without even trying is really telling.
For a link cable, what about a C to C cable, when your PCs USB-C port puts out plenty of wattage? I have some long thunderbolt cables, which are USB-C on both ends, and my port puts out more than 18W.
17:46 I have the KronosVR Elite Battery Head Strap for Meta Quest 3 which is the brand for this in Australia, I get 5 hours of battery life on the quest 3 of game play wirelessly. This thing is half the price of the oculus elite strap and seems to be fine for my use. I dont' know why you have a issue with it for the price is very good.

Very Orange link cable does indeed keep the Quest 3 fully charged. Even while playing Alyx fully turned up to max settings cpu/gpu. Most do not know. But you need thunderbolt 4 ports. Almost all new motherboards come with them today. Using thunderbolt 4 and as a link cable for high bitrate, my quest 3 never lost any charge. Also I was able to use that exact cable with a 65w PD charger and playing aw2 fully tweaked and turned up my headset was at 100% after 1.5hours play time.
YOU KNOW IT!! When it takes us a week to test like 20 accessories and then multiple days to edit it all it feels pretty EXTREME!! Ooo maybe I'll change it to EXTREME instead :D

depends on if you like halo straps, Im using one right now but I ordered an elite style one because it shakes around on your head when playing more intese games
with the quest 3 you really need a power bank with usb c out for the extra power and the quest 2 unly needed the usb a out but just barely worked if i did that on the quest 3 it would just go down even on the home screen so you really need usb c out power bank
They do come from multiple brands as we saw here so you probably got a good one. I got two both with varying levels of sucky gears! I think that's the main problem with drop shipping is the QA is so spotty, one person like you can get a fine one, but I can get two and they both have issues.

I have no issues with the AMVR interface. It's fantastic and the best one by far in terms of comfort and no light bleed.

There something a little strange with the nose area on the AMVR facial interface, had to mess with the padding to get it to feel ok

If you already have a Q2, just know that NONE of the games, songs, etc that you purchased will transfer. You have to buy them again. You can share from the Q2, however your high scores will not transfer to the Q3. You must have a FB/Meta admin. account for each device. 😢
i bougt the AMVR facial interface and i have zero issies that you have but that might be because i have it all the way in anyway. i use it with the Aubika strap and love it. Zero issue.
Is the handle issue still a problem if you disable hand tracking in settings like Protube reccomends for their gunstocks/saber hilts?

Fingers crossed for you! Either way at least Meta has acknowledged it and they'll probably have to add an extra long warranty like they did on Quest 2 Elite's so you can always get it replaced.

So if someone just installs the AMVR interface at the correct setting, and never plans to remove it and fiddle with it, would it be a great product for them?
test the "cap clip" and end the online debate on "is it safe?". unreleated the est battery for me so far for quest 3 was the 20,ooo mah 20w bank from anker (with coupon its 39$) the 10,000 30w wasnt enough (maybe 2.5 hours). im tttng 5-6 hours (battery alone with hmd at 100% at death with all high power options turned on,pcvr streaming with passthrough) on the 20,000 mah. i wouldnt go smaller
Thanks Jay! I am curious about the AMVR interface and someone in the comments said they're working on a second iteration of them. By the way, maybe you're aware already but there is another battery swap headstrap solution out the that's called PandaVR.
AMVR is oddly working on another set of grips already too. They managed to put out a first round of accessories pretty quickly but seem to have a V2 of everything coming that hopefully will all be better. The AMVR interface is actually one of the best we have so far, but the keywords being SO FAR. Nothing has said yet "you need to spend $40 on me". It feels like we're close to the right interface coming at least.
Yeah a couple battery straps have dropped I want to try including the now Kiwi Battery straps, Panda and so many others lol
@@jaybratt Cool Jay, thanks for the info. I actually ended up buying those silicone grips and you were right, those buckles do hurt and I have small hands even. Ah well, I put some extra velcro padding inside the straps which made them a little better.

As i need, from time to time, to let other people test our immersive movies (v-nova presenzvr, new amazing 6DoF movies coming soon), i needed a washable facial interface. At the moment i’ve still not found the “definitive one” (while I had a good one on the Quest 2), and i’ve purchased an on/off silicon cover, that I remove when using myself. Hope a nice Q3 facial interface will appear soon… Thanks, Jay!
@@jaybratt I agree, the AMVR facial interface is currently the best. Unfortunately it still isn't good. I had to tape mine up to get rid of the light leak and the pad certainly isn't VRCover-level plush.

Thanks! Another great accessory video! I'm going to disagree with you on the battery straps though. I prefer a battery bank because A) you typically get more mAh for your buck and B) if you need to replace the battery (or the strap) then you don't have to replace everything all at once

I recommend the INIU Portable Charger, 22.5W 20000mAh. It has worked great for me. I have gotten more than 12 hours of playtime without charging it if I use the USB cables that comes with the Quest. I got the one that comes with the LED display that shows charge percentage so I can keep it between 80-20% so the battery stays healthy for years from now.

I just got the amvr facial interface its one of the only comfortable ones until kiwi or vr cover come out with one those drop ship ones have thin tile sponge padding and with clam shell headstraps i need wide memory foam to fit the contours of my face. With halo straps does the padding press on your face or more just to block lightbleed? I just get kiwi comfort straps since i play mostly active games. Also for a battery pack charmast 10k millamp costs only 27 CAD and keeps it charged and for grips i got destek 15 CAD so far i like them better than my q2 kiwi ones. Keep up the good content man

The AMVR facial interface is terrible. It wouldn't keep the distance adjustment locked in, and to fix it I would have to take the interface off the headset. Which was often. It just doesn't fit my face very well either. The forehead angle was weird. I fought with that thing for a few months, and just went back to the stock one. It works fine. Just wish it had vent holes. Time to break out the drill.
I got the Logitech Chorus for Quest 2 for $40. Is that a good deal?

Hows the FOV with the halo style straps? Being that the headset is not pressed against your face like with the non-halo straps which usually gives you a huge boost in FOV, even if we're talking millimeters.

I recently bought a case for my new quest and a new head strap called damon light head strap, i believe you reviewed it and its a really big difference than the stock strap, I’m not planning on buying any new facial interface and im satisfied with what i have right now

I am using a 3D printed Quest Pro style interface and a DAS. What I really want: oversized knuckle grips like what KIWI made for quest 2 and a better executed quality interface.

I am using the BoboVR M2 converted to M3 headstrap which is still very good however after the poor handling of stock and design of the latest headstrap I am now looking at alternatives hence this headstrap which does have glowing reviews on Amazon however that does not mean much these days unfortunately. I hope we get a review soon. I will keep asking about getting a review for it. Thanks.

That's interesting that's the issue for you. Most people say the halo straps move too much and they want the elite due to that. Every head shape is different! I personally love halos no matter what but I've seen people who hate them and love elites.
i was weary of using my link cable because of quest 3 guzzling battery life faster than an H3 with all the upgrades, but i was using my link cable yesterday for about 6 hours without issue, so the quest is able to maintain a charge while plugged in. now, i plugged mine into a thunderbolt port which are capable of higher power profiles so not sure if that helped given its still a USBC cable at the end of the day (fiber optic still has some tech in the plugs so maybe it can up power if available). maybe its just the type of port that was keeping me around 75% for most of the time (which i think is roughly what i started with) but i didnt have to stop playing

Yeah, any M2 strap will work with it. M2 OG, Plus, Pro
That tab on the silicone interface pushes against the inside of nose part and keeps it from moving around when you have the headset on. I have that exact item and it works great, way better than the previous one I had. The fact that you dismissed it out of hand without even trying is really telling.
For a link cable, what about a C to C cable, when your PCs USB-C port puts out plenty of wattage? I have some long thunderbolt cables, which are USB-C on both ends, and my port puts out more than 18W.

17:46 I have the KronosVR Elite Battery Head Strap for Meta Quest 3 which is the brand for this in Australia, I get 5 hours of battery life on the quest 3 of game play wirelessly. This thing is half the price of the oculus elite strap and seems to be fine for my use. I dont' know why you have a issue with it for the price is very good.

Very Orange link cable does indeed keep the Quest 3 fully charged. Even while playing Alyx fully turned up to max settings cpu/gpu. Most do not know. But you need thunderbolt 4 ports. Almost all new motherboards come with them today. Using thunderbolt 4 and as a link cable for high bitrate, my quest 3 never lost any charge.
Also I was able to use that exact cable with a 65w PD charger and playing aw2 fully tweaked and turned up my headset was at 100% after 1.5hours play time.

with the quest 3 you really need a power bank with usb c out for the extra power and the quest 2 unly needed the usb a out but just barely worked if i did that on the quest 3 it would just go down even on the home screen so you really need usb c out power bank

I've got the rgb strap with battery for 2 months now and haven't had any problems with it. Love it.
They do come from multiple brands as we saw here so you probably got a good one. I got two both with varying levels of sucky gears! I think that's the main problem with drop shipping is the QA is so spotty, one person like you can get a fine one, but I can get two and they both have issues.
The elite strap is overpriced and underperforms. Better off getting the binbok one for cheaper and comes with 2 swappable batteries.
If the aftermarket one destroys the vrs battery or the vr, do you think it voids the warranty
