damn that made a massive difference! Just got 900Mbps fibre here which is great but finding the range of just the smart hub 2 a bit limiting. I was thinking of grabbing a couple of discs to wirelessly pair with the hub but maybe the wireless speeds don't seem all that great? I'm aiming to get as close to that 900 as possible, also considering waiting for the Eero pro 6 to release here in the uk
This is what I’ve ordered for my summer house which is about 30 meters away from my house. I have a tplink booster do I just put the Ethernet into that and then into the bt disk?
Thank you for that video i had a BT SMARTHUB 2 and fibre fitted last week .. Before i had just normal SKY HUB SR-102 box for my internet and because I live in a big old farmhouse with many downstairs rooms And i had to plug and connect a Cat 6 cable into the SKY HUB SR-102 box and run the CAT 6 cable under the floor joists to the farthest downstairs room in my property where i plugged the other end of the CAT 6 cable into my NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK X4S WIFI router Which gave me a pretty good signal in that area of the property So Mike my question is will i be able to plug my Cat 6 cable into the BT SMARTHUB 2 and run my NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK X4S WIFI router .... like i used with my SKY HUB I only got the BT SMARTHUB 2 and i haven't got any WIFI Discs Any advice would be welcomed
@@micaerin Thank you for posting this Mike .. i will show my electrician brother your video he will also be interested on your ethernet and WIFI disc set up .. because during lockdown he and his chippy friend decided to build 32ft by 15ft a garden pub called the Dog House in time for the EURO'S .. i thought he meant a little shed he also lives in the countryside so no neighbours
Thanks, but even at 1:34 that music is making it too unpleasant to watch.

Is the TP link hardwired to the router? I’ve used a TP link switch which is hardwired to my router
Thank you for that video

I’m not a network professional I’m afraid all I can do is show you how I got a better WiFi to my summer house. 👍🏻

What have you got your Ethernet splitter to ? To get a connection from your router that is in the house?
yes that's correct
