    I’m 17 and for 6 months off and on I’ve had this tension headache I think it’s because I had a panic attack and I stressed a lot because I thought I was dying..and it’s given me the most anxiety I’ve ever had and it’s made me feel like I’m not far from death but I’m getting better and I’m happier to be alive so anyone else that’s had this comment below and share your stories :)

    Thank you so much for this video explaining in more depth than what I've ever heard about how the body shifts into this form that creates tension headaches. It really resonates with me. My chiropractor has prescribed the text neck exercises, and you mention those, but you also mention opening up the ribcage. Can you go into more detail on how to better open up the lower ribcage and get it to move differently? Feel like you were just getting to the juicy stuff and then the video ended. Thanks so very much!

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Год назад +1

      So glad this resonated! A great way to start with the rib cage expansion is by wrapping an exercise band around the low ribcage and take breaths trying to expand the low ribcage into the band. We talk a bit more about it in this video as well I believe: ruclips.net/video/71ZzgpvuEx4/видео.html

    Can these things be seen on X-ray? The diagrams being out of wack ? Just wondering how I can figure out if this is what happening with me. I have been having constant tension headaches for almost 2 months. Also pressure in chest but i can literally feel it travel from my chest up to head sometimes. It’s so intense. Had. Normal CT scan. One that I think of it I had pressure in my pelvic area months ago. The only time the headaches eases up is when I lay down . I need some relief . I know and pray that God will get me through it

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Год назад

      They definitely wouldn't show up on an X-ray because that just shows solid structures like bone. Did you watch the video and listen to some of the suggestions we have? A lot of it can have to do with stress levels, proper breathing patterns, and muscle tensions around the chest and neck.

    What about tension headaches with a dull burning sensation on one side of your head plus the tightness...I have a history of health anxiety so you can imagine how far I've over thought this. Thought it was a neuropathy thing

      Hi Wemi, I have had tension headaches in the past that come out of nowhere and last for a few weeks and then it disappears. But as recently as April I've had a tension headache that seems to be constant and not go away at all. It's causing me head pressure at the lower back of my head along with the back of my neck and my shoulders feeling tight. Do you have those symptoms too? Also its caused me horrible, annoying ear pressure. I have a upcoming MRI scan in August.

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  2 года назад +1

      When the headache is one sided, that is less indicative of a tension headache and can more so be symptoms of a migraine. Have you ever had this checked out by your doctor?

    Hate the fact that every person has to stereotype headaches for women are more common , that’s wrong and should change men and women are equal we both feel pain and men should not be put to hide pain if they feel any

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Год назад

      We actually just gather that data from systematic review studies on headaches. So it does show that women at least report tension headaches more often. Definitely not saying men don't experience headaches or pain. Just that women report them more often when these studies are taken!
