"I'm the son and he's the father and that will never change" humility at it's finest.
Trust me. It is respect that matters.
I just turned 30 got in a fight with my brother at home.
Pops comes down kicked my ass...
funny thing is he never slapped me once in my life till that moment
Q-Rich was one of my favorite players when i was growing up. i loved watching him play at Depaul. seems like a super humble dude. lost his mom, his grandmother, and 2 of his brothers. he overcame it all. nothing but respect for Q.
Awesome to see a blackman have a great relationship with his father...
Most do
@@MrBenjaminebrownjr You beat me to it.
Lol thats the myth ..me and my dad be cool since day 1
Not as rare as you think dont let ppl confuse u
Is that not a normal thing?
Pops could’ve been an engineer in a more just society.
U so right
I think his dad did exactly what he wanted to. In the end his dad being an excellent father and raising his kids properly with love and values made their family more money then an engineer would have ever made.
Taahir Abdur-Rahim That’s what you call racism stop in black people for greatness
James Ashby wrongs
Respect to pop's u did your thing
I met Q when he was playing in Phoenix . He was dating Brandy and it was his birthday.. Real good humble dude..Prayers 🙏🏿 for u and your family..
"How long did it take you to do all this pop?"
Pop - "Uhh, about 2 and a half months"
😳.
Bruh, I thought he was about to say about 3 years lol. That's amazing
LMAO man me too!
Me too
Facts
Q has such respect for his pops. Awesome.
why is that awesome? Is that not normal. lmfao
CPGoat #3 right bro, shit if ur Father raised u right that’s normal! Hell Ik a cats that still does that with their Dads and he walked out on em!
I met Q at the airport recently after big 3 really nice guy..class act!
This was wonderful to see. Not enough of us black men had this type of relationship with our fathers. You can tell Quinton has the upmost respect and love for his father. It's very sad to hear about his brother getting killed but life is very real for us out here in these streets no matter who your family might be.
Their family so cool especially Pops. As soon as Q said, he gave his brother the Infinity truck... "I knew what followed next." That's so DEPRESSING for the hood to continue the trend and feed the BAD reputation.
That basement is dope fr
South sider born and raised love my city dearly!! Much respect to you Q!! Nothing like Chicago Basketball!! DePaul Stand Up!!!
It’s so great to see the love and respect he has for his father.
I didn’t even know he lived across the street from the Kroc center, I play there like 3x a week to play soccer in the turf field. That’s fucking dope man
I like this Man! I remember him by the EA NBA 2004-2007) It was good time... Respect from Russia, Big Man! ;)
P.S. R.I.P. your Brother...

I watched Q grow from high school all the way through. I'm so proud of him
Q. Rich seems like a real down to earth person real one 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
He's great an the dad is brilliant
That's why its so important to have a father in your life.
Damn! Did every black family migrate from Mississippi and Arkansas?
And Alabama
Charles Willams no
Majority. Thats where all the jobs were.
Most black people who live in Chicago are originally from Mississippi. Just like most black people from DC are originally from North Carolina. Or a lot of black people from New York migrated from Virginia. And most black people from LA migrated from Louisiana and Texas.
Memphis
I lost my brother to gun violence earlier this year too, it’s a pain that will never go away. Sorry Q.
Sorry for your lost
Tar heels 215 Thanks man.

I live in Florida now too but I grew up on 117th and Justine...my granny's house will forever be called home to me.
Glad you got out. I left a few times but I just moved back about 5 months ago. For some reason I always get home sick. Thank God I don't live in a rough neighborhood otherwise I don't think I'd stay.
I used to get buckets at the Coop🏀
@@sirsylk Man I remember one time me and my homies went to go hoop at Cooper park and we were over there serving them up. So much so that they decided to pick a fight with us lmao. We weren't even supposed to be over there being from Ragtown but hoop is hoop to us.
Q RICH mannnn I love how humble u have always been. Your personality and people skills are dope. LOVE THE FAMILY AND THE TRAIN Sorry for your lost .
Chicagoans is mostly families from MISSISSIPPI and Arkansas
Moreso Alabama & Mississippi tho
@@yunghaneef4199 Yea most definitely Alabama and Mississippi.!!
@@TurtlEfrmdaManor and Tennessee BIG time. Just say the south.
Interstate 55. The more money you had the further north. A lot of people couldn't make it to Chicago and settled in memphis or St. Louis.
Mississippi Choctaw
Great video of Q reflecting on his past
Dope video respect✌🏿
that model set is wild!
Q this is simply amazing and beautiful. Watched you my whole life. 35 now with a daughter of my own. That is so cool what you did for your family.

Man...I came across my old Sam Ash tag which made me try to find Lee only to find out this tragic news today. Such a great guy. I have great memories of him I will always cherish including hanging with him once at the house in his basement studio. God bless you and your family. So very sorry for your loss. RIP Lee

Nothin like The City Of Chicago!
West Side was home!
Kedzie, Ogden, Christiana, 19th St, Spaulding,
"The Hood"!!!
Bulls
Bears
Blackhawks
Cubs
White Sox.
Proud to be from The Windy City, Always will be...
@bee boo been out of touch with the Cubs since they won it all, but it's an unfortunate trend in baseball going way back in the day
with all baseball teams.
You may not remember them, but Ferguson Jenkins, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, those were the Cubs I followed, back in the day.
Honestly and being very candid my friend, ⚾ and 🏑 will always be a Caucasian dominated Sport the same way Football and Basketball are dominated by us.
My perspective is one that was coming from a young boy growing up in the city of Chicago.
I didn't care what color dominated which team.
I just knew I was a fan of all Chicago Sports Teams. That was all that mattered to me. Even if all you could do was listen to them on the radio, which was all we had at the time, the young guys I grew up with, we all rooted for our Chicago Sports Franchises.
If the trend changes and things start to even out, Great, but I doubt if they ever will, for a number of different reasons, and you and I CERTAINLY agreeing on one in particular...
Your dad is the GOAT brother. Glad to see you and your have a great relationship 🙏🤝
Chi-Town is full of hard core ballers... Half of the NBA is Chicago base players lol...I love Chicago. #GreetingsFromOhio
@bee boo right...
Much love to you and the fam Q-Rich ! You Gee up block away from my ppl in the city #WildHunnits !!
Completely forgot about Q Rich. Im glad he’s doing well. Nice clip
Amazing. Need more images like this. Your whole family should run for office. I wish y'all the best.
Love the pod cast Q
No place like home.
Those train sets......wow. 👍💎👑
I think people really don't understand the power of a man having a good father or good father figure in their life. It's great seeing this knowing Q comes from my era. I will say only people from Chicago knows no matter how far you go or whatever Chicago will always be home. Man, I remember those crates. Hate what happened to his brother. The neighborhoos in Chicago were rough but they got worse when the city closed the projects and just started moving people into there neighborhoods and near suburbs. I don't hate the people from the projects because most are simply a product of their environment but still there mentality of the projects was so different from even the roughest neighborhood in Chicago. Moving them in the hoods without any type of programs or whatever was like throwing a match on gas and the result is what is seen today
Lee was a friend of mine he is a hero he saved his fathers life
He sure was.
I'm from DC and with my job is get to travel all over the country Chicago is one of my favorite cities
Your Pops got skills in all areas.... Salute

Q was a beast in his prime for real. Strong father in the house respect. Sad that our people dying over materialistic items....brotha died over a car smdh we have to do better.
Wish he spoke abt his Mom, other siblings. What a cool Dad though. That train set is so cute, you can tell how much the Dad loves it. My Dad used to love train sets too.
His mom passed it probably was a soft spot
What up!!! 85th and Loomis. The milk carton basketball was everything.

Wow!. Ur Dad is Super Cool!!. Gets his Hobby On!!!
I knew you was big like us country cats in the Sipp!!! I came to The Chi summer of 2018 and the first Cat I met at the Grand Sheraton on the River was mom was from Mississippi, in fact she went to school with my mom!!! All black people up north got Mississippi blood in em!
Much love Q!
That is amazing to see what his father did I just wanna go and sit for hours and watch those train. 😁
His father's train grid rivals the one at MSI.
Q such a good son i'll try not to cry now lol
Lee was my man!!! Made me sharper rhymin against him on the bus as a fresh at Julian!!! He wss nasty with the TWISTING STYLE!!!#whistler #coop #julian RIP GOOD BROTHA LEE!
He had the heart of a lion!
Yea that was a sad story, never heard about it to today. I went to the J in like 97-98ish. When I was younger tho I was cool with Eddie Curry (Calumet City upbringing), he lost family too to the violence & non-sense as well & I as well.
And Q Rich still had to finish out the season after that tragedy. As he said athletes are immune to tragedy.
His dad is brilliant
Representing Chi-city well, man!!!
To do all that in two months. Wow!
Q would've been a super beast had he never hurt his back
That's cool 👍 his dad sad about his brother
Shout out to Pop Q.......that basement is Official!!!
Go ahead my brother, love your dad He is awesome, but tell him I said O gauge not HO scale for his lay out, lololo... Tel him he will understand!
