I truly truly loved and enjoyed the part where you both were at that Turkish delight shop....so hilarious !! Shout-out to Saleem....he really was a good sale promoter. Liked the way he talked 😅😂 Well, another interesting vlog, thanks for sharing, Steve lvana
Hagia Sophia mosque is probably d only one mosque that was previously a cathedral. But in Spain, I think there is at least two, perhaps more cathedral built on sites that were previously mosques in Andalusia. I've visited one of them in Seville, one of d biggest Cathedrals in d world.
I lived in Istanbul for 10 years. Everything in Istanbul is "intense" but not in a bad way if you ask me. If you're rich it's probably the best place on earth to live, like if you're staying at one of those villas (yalis) overlooking Bosphorus and traveling everywhere in your Mercedes. Trust me it's the place to rule the world. But if you're poor, Istanbul beats you up seriously.
Totally agree!! I lived in Istanbul for 2 years and in my opinion the best way to enjoy it is stay where you are - if you try to travel anywhere in the city you'll be tired before you arrive! ;-))
You're right, Misir means Egypt, when they built this bazaar in 1660, it was called Yeni Baazar (New Baazar) 150 years later, since most of the items came from Egypt, so we changed the name to Misir carsisi, which means Egyptian Bazaar.
Hmm..3:52 I believe this is the same seller who offered two different prices to RUclips friends. "How much is it?" - 40 liras. "And for me?" - uh, 35..😂😂
Thanks @Jetlag Warriors! Always always love your vloggs of market hunt and especially this, DELIGHTS to the senses and taste buds! Semua Sedappp😋😋😋👌 Shout out to Selim for that winning line🎉
Was just there!! Miss certain aspects about Istanbul ❤. I found a lot of the vendors to be funny. One guy yelled out, would you like to come in and buy some thing you don’t need! :-) I can respect good humor.
Oh wow. We're in Istanbul at the moment. Missed you guys in Pakistan. May see you.. Stranger things have happened. Hope you're enjoying this incredible city..
Awsome , really cool . And please guys don´t let your experience in São Paulo taint your perception of brazilian markets . I remember people was very friendly with you in the central market in Belo Horizonte and the prices they were saying were the prices for any local . Bigg kisses
You get a box & ask for selection of different flavours, they’ll cut up all different ones & put it in a box & sell by weight. You don’t have to choose just one, you could have a piece of every single one if you wanted to 😂
9:40 I always thought Ivana was born in Canada from a Indo family since she has zero accent. How old were you when you moved to Canada? Surely a child yeah?
Istanbul ..... The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar...... Ok, I know this is not it.....Yes..... On our radar... and i have to admit... What a good salesman, .... Take care out there folks.
#JetFam Why do you guys only have one phone? And what do you do for mobile data as you travel around the world? Do you buy local SIM cards in each country or do you use eSIMs?
The people you see there are not Turks, most of them are Kurds and many of them are Arabs. In other words, Istanbul has lost its identity and turned into an Arab city.
Why do you come to Türkiye when you are on diet Turkey is the country of eating and drinking don’t come when you are on diets you were pretending you don’t want to eat but now you are eating too much
Fatih Sultan Mehmet han İstanbul'u feth ettiğinde kılıç hakkı olarak çamiye çevirdi bir yanlış anlama olmasın 1453 yıllarında cami oldu adettir.Biryer feth edildiğinde oranının en görkemli eserini fakf edilirdi biliyorsunuz Avrupa'da birçok cami kiliseye çevrilmiştir
That turkish delight vendor is totally right, you can't be on a diet when visiting turkey 🤣
And a good business man too
Say @KenAbroad who is tall and slim and doesn't need to diet...
Such a spontaneous beautiful interaction with the locals! Turkey is lit.
I laughed when Selim asked why I'd come to Turkey while on a diet. Don't know how much he makes, but he still deserves a raise.
I truly truly loved and enjoyed the part where you both were at that Turkish delight shop....so hilarious !! Shout-out to Saleem....he really was a good sale promoter. Liked the way he talked 😅😂 Well, another interesting vlog, thanks for sharing, Steve lvana

I thought misir in Türkçe means corn
@@Love90Lightyes but it also means Egypt
@@arcadeD. I am still learning Türkçe so I get confused.
@@Love90Light Turkish has a lot of synonyms
@@koraydrmokokootru3789 that's why I'm still not good 😅
I started learning at 2017.

Now I get where the romanians inherited the art of selling things

Hagia Sofia (Blue Mosque) untill 2020 was Christian church (picture with Jesus) and after a referendum was transform into a mosque
blue mosque is built in 17th century and you are right hagia sophia was museum between 1935-2020 and is way older than blue mosque
Hagia sofia and blue mosque are different buildings. And hagia sophia was museum not church
Fatih Sultan
