The 325a is definitely my favorite small ship in the game, very good combat capabilities, very good maneuverability, good cargo for its size and very nice interiors.
I’d argue that the 315i makes a lot of sense too when it comes to smuggling, since the low signature and extended range make it ideal for when you want to deliver concealed cargo to distant locations. One’s for speed, the other for range - both low profile (in terms of IR and EM). The Mercury will also be great for the task but with its much bigger signature just forget about staying under the radar.
I've been holding onto an upgrade for the 325A since way back in the Hangar module days. I recently upgraded my Avenger into a 300, and immediately applied the 325 upgrade, and haven't been disappointed yet. I really enjoyed this video, and it has only cemented my belief that I made the right choice. Also wanna say I love your calm, efficient speaking style. You have just enough emotion to let the viewer know you care, but it's not exaggerated, and your voice is a genuince pleasure for me to listen to. Seriously I watched quite a few videos of yours now and I do not own a single SC game package, yet i still find all of them so fun and interesting to watch. The quality of your content is easily up their with all the bigger SC youtubers, hell better than a lot of them too.
This solidifies my choice to get the 325A. With the new weapons and components persistence between claiming, I opted to get he base load out and upgrade as needed. I just didn't see a component package that meets my needs so I'll build my own. For now I will just have to grind aUEC each patch to keep it the way I want.
this was much more informative than i thought it would be. ive been a long time owner of the 315p and 325a, since patch 2 before the rework. I never knew the 350r was so well equipped. I thought it was stripped down kind of like the m50 but this video tells me all i need to know. might have to get that ship in game now that you can buy ships with aUEC to complete the 300 series line up in my hangar.
I started the game 2 weeks ago with the 315p. I'm now in a 300i. Once tractor beams function, I may go back to the 315p, but for now I think the 300i is the best of the lineup for two reasons. First, it has 3 guns. And second, it has the same 700 QT tank as the 315p (which the 325 and 350 do not, they both have the standard small 583 QT tank most small ships have.) I've now upgraded my 300i to a Siren QT drive, dual Mirage shields, and 3x Attrition-3 lasers and I'm quite happy with it as both a box hauler and a dogfighter. Other than an eventual upgrade to a Vanguard Warden, this thing will be my go-to ship for the foreseeable future. EDIT: Just to be 100% clear, the 300i and the 315p have the exact same QT range. The 315p has a Siren drive by default, which means it's actually slightly faster (and actually burns QT fuel faster so technically it has LESS range) but both have the exact same 700 QT fuel tank. Please do not buy the more expensive 315p if you just want a longer QT range because the cheaper 300i will go just as far and buying a Siren for it in-game takes about 30 minutes.
I got the 300i in yellow. Sport yoke and seat, and top add-on package. I mostly do cargo runs in my Cutlass, but this is my cruising ship. I'm saving for a 600. I love the Origin look, but also some of the more industrial ships.
Wonderful, superb job on this video. These comparison styled programs are what I love and you are fantastic. Only thing i could suggest would be some graphics at each summary point for each model and at the end. Great job!
Thanks for this. It’s helped me decide what I should get. It was a mash up between the 300i and the Titan. But I think I’ll go with the pathfinder 315p. As that’s more my play style
About to start SC and have been watching loads of vids in reference to getting my first ship (tons of them i watched were yours) and so far the 325A seems to be the one for me. If the 350R had the kitchenette/bathroom like the others i would blow the extra $$$ on it, but since it doesn't the A seems the best fit for me. Thanks for all the great videos!
Still love the 300 series. 315p was my original pledge, though I went through several iterations and other changes (much of it to do with LTI), and it's now one of I believe, 7 ships I have? Yeah, almost all very small ships... Except for the 600i that I just got, which... I just couldn't help it after spending so much time with it in the free fly event. Still, the 315p and 350r are still there, newly customised. (I swear I still can't work out if the paint schemes I chose are meant to be black & blue, or Black & purple - I have two monitors and on one it's indisputably purple, and on the other, indisputably blue. For that matter, I loaded a screenshot into a paint editing program, and it came out with an RGB value that is most definitely purple; But then again, even screenshots seem to show discrepancies depending on how I capture the image...) Anyway... With customisation, they're really quite nice. I mean, if I truly had free choice in the colour scheme I would've done something slightly different. But, what I've ended up with is pretty good, even if the 'is it blue or purple' question seems to drive me slightly insane... XD
I like Origin though I don't have any use for the 100 and 600 series of ships. I chose the 315p GT in Midnight Rose, wood trim, white leather seat with red highlights and all the amenities for an extra $27 above the base price. This is my personal shuttle though I also have the 85x, its' lack of any storage space tipped my hand to acquiring the 315p. I'll save my 85x for when I get an 890 Jump so I have two runabouts in the hanger. While I'm an explorer I don't see the 315p or the Terrapin as viable ships for that role. I prefer my multi-crew ships for that role.
Something you might want to consider, the 135C is only 2 meters longer and taller than the 85X, so it's likely you still might be able to fit one in along with an 85X. While the 100-series are listed as one crew, the bed means you can still bring along a passenger, and the 135C will give you 6 SCU of cargo space and the ability to mount a jump drive.
I love origin enough to have a 315p, 350r and a 600i... The 600i is definitely the least practical, but I just fell in love with it from the free fly event. The 600i feels like 'home'. You know. If you're just wandering around the verse for no particular reason, the 600i is just feels like the perfect place to hang out. It can still do things of course, but it's not super effective at them given it's size. (consider the 315p has 12 SCU, the 600i touring has 16...) But, yeah. I use the 350r when I want to get somewhere in a hurry. The 315p is just the most practical option for most tasks, and the 600i is what I like to think of as home. (I've taken to parking it on a rooftop in ArcCorp and logging off in one of the beds rather than taking it to the spaceport - it's definitely a nicer living space than the habs.) Obviously, if you have an 890 jump to work with, it's different. But since I'm effectively just one person, an 890 jump feels like massive overkill. So... I've settled on making a 600i my home, and using the 300 series ships for doing things with where the huge bulk of a 90 metre long ship is just a liability... In any event, yeah... They're nice ships, that's for sure. XD ( I guess in terms of practicality, leaving aside that most of the beds look like they'd hold more than one person, it's fun to note that a 600i touring has enough beds for 9 people. And obviously can carry a lot more than that on short trips where saving doesn't matter, since the amount of seating it contains is truly insane. - if you had every internal seat occupied I think you come out to carrying about 25 people, minimum, which as it stands right now is half the server capacity. XD)
What other utility items exist, that we could potentially swap out the tractor beam in the 315p? I know there is the mining laser and the salvage arm... anything else? Also does that mean the 315 could be turned into a mining or salvage ship?
Originally I loved the 350r for the differences in the hull. But with the rework they're much closer now. The intakes were moved from the bottom to the top. But I still suppose it has the greebles on it.

Where did that red paintjob come from? I recently viewed another vid that had the 315p with an all-black paint job. These paints must be older offers from CIG, as they are not available in the limited customization offers.
I have been regreating my 350r purchase of late, the amount it cost and I am unsure if I will actually use it in the Verse. I am more likely to be flying a Cutlass or similar. I just wanted a racing ship in my fleet. I have been thinking about melting it and purchasing something else or maybe use a CCU. After watching this I am happy to be a 350r owner again, you've sold my ship back to me. Thanks. :)
The P for the scu, the R for speed the A for weapons and that cool green paint. Not sure how my playstyle will fit with them yet. So I had to get all three.
Just ccu'd an LN to a 325a-XC on 11/23/19 and I dont see a weapons or armor locker. Am I missing something? And does anyone have any idea when its (325a) 4 bespoke S3 missles will be usable? Not having them is really killing me. 😂 Thanks West and the West fans.
so far there's nothing that could fit into cargo bay of any of the 300 series and still be able to quantum travel. You really have to upgrade to a medium sized craft before you can start hauling vehicles around within your ship. The only exception to that, that I can think of off the top of my head, is the titan.
I wish I could swap parts of the ship the 325 weapons and armor Cargo and capacity of the 315 I'd sacrifice the speed of the others etc too make it work idc I want it
@@michaelbeleut6480 I upgraded to a 300i for an in-between stage. Honestly have not been playing a lot of SC at the moment, and the 315 is probably what I will end up, but generally the 300i series is much better than the titan. Only thing I miss is the ramp entrance instead of the ladder. Also you aren't wrong about the customization. I got the blue paint job on mine and it looks great.
Hay law I’m new to the Chanel and new to star citizen, and I know how much work videos are, but could you consider doing a video like this for the reliant series?
I don't think there are any specs difference. Only a limited time paint job. I'm expecting better maneuverability down the road for the 350. Because they said they were cutting it's Hull strength for performance. And so far performance only ammounts to 113 meters per second. The thing can't race Old Vandervall worth a darn. It needs about 252 M/S more and turn like it's on rails. And that cargo bay had better carry a ranger. Or I'm afraid mine is headed for a CCU. I like the 325 however, and probably going to get one after payday
@@LordTiberius52 Thanks! I'm looking for a fast ship to make eventual speed runs, that also can hold some cargo. Should I turn over the Mustang Vindicator, then? What do you think?
@@StaffyDoo the Mustang Vindicator? Wasn't that the citizencon skin for the Mustang Alpha? The 350R is loads better than anything in the Mustang line. And I really am expecting it to get better. Hell, I'd take a 300i over a mustang. Despite my nit-pics, it's one of my "must have" ships for day 1 of the game. I need a Banu Merchantman, a smaller cargo shop (currently the Mercury), a really good fighter (currently the Heartseeker) and the 350R. I know they say "you can earn it all in game." but I don't think so. It will all be available in game, but we have seen that the bigger ships get, the far more they cost in game. So you need a good moneymaker. And I believe even at that, I'll be spending a lot of earnings just keeping that ship running and getting upgrades. I think that extra UEC for a racer is going to be, like in the real world, a luxury I don't really need as much as need that armor plating on my fighter. So a 350R, and maybe even an M50 for real money, rather than 2-3 million UEC, is worth it. I'll tell you, half of me wants to save for a year and a half an buy an 890 jump at the anniversary sale 2020. But I'm going to need to have that as my goal. In game. The reason to earn a fortune. (and an excuse to have some other ships bought with cash)
@@LordTiberius52 Awesome, dude, thanks for the thorough answer. Yeah, I myself have a Heartseeker too (for escort missions, bh, sky cleansing, VIP transport, personnel retrieval), have also a DUR (supposedly the only ship capable of getting through the smaller jump points), and like I said I was looking for a speed "canoe". I'm gonna consider the 350R then. See you around. EDIT: arghh, my edited, longer answer is gone!
@@StaffyDoo I hate it when that happens. When they said freelancers will be the largest ships that can fit through the smallest jump points, that was before the Mercury, which is about the same size. And I think all of the Freelancers can. I have a MAX, at least for now. Eventually I may melt it to buy a CCU from Corsair to Aquila. I already have the CCU from Aquila to BMM. And the Corsair. But for now the Corsair gives me an Aquila and Buccaneer as loaners. One thing to consider for escort, the Heartseeker has no bed and slow QT. might want to look into a Warden, but wait until the rework. It kind of sucks right now. BTW, do you have an Org?

Hi, I was planning on buying either the 300i or the 315, Im kind of a mining fan and since the 315 has the utility hold at the front, could you attach a mining system there or is it not possible?
It looks like the 350R can with the speed also be fun to fight but the slower 325A looks more powerfull. In fights both speed and power are vital. The question is can the less powerfull 350R outgun the 325A because it's to fast?
Hey Law, since you own the ships, can you comment on 300 series hydrogen fuel usage? I have a hypothesis that newly purchased 300s (after 3.8 went live) use a lot of H fuel, while those 300s purchased before 3.8 consume far less fuel. Might be a bug! My arrow, for example, consumes a lot less fuel than my 300. The arrow was purchased a year ago, the 300i just yesterday. I am seeing a lot of variation in H fuel consumption on RUclips, with people clearly playing 3.8. Thanks!
I think the lack of internal access to cargo from within is a negative & lackluster design for these ships. All there needs to be is a pressurized door. I think too much emphasis was placed upon the aesthetics & not enough on functionality, even for a country club ship. They are really nice looking ships however.
The 350r is going to make for an excellent Drug Runner. If anyone comes after you? You can dart away in a blink of an eye, with no one able to catch you.
love and loathe this ship. i got a 325 in game, great ship love everything but the paint scheme. and unlike all the other ships i bought i literaly CANT buy a paint for it cause you can only get the metalic blue when you buy the entire ship with cash.

When they designed Origin ships they wanted a German luxury car style. Which is why they are all numbers.

Thanks. :)
Love my 350r, i plan on kitting it out with stealth components and running highly expensive (and illegal) small goods from place to place.
The P for the scu, the R for speed the A for weapons and that cool green paint. Not sure how my playstyle will fit with them yet. So I had to get all three.
just got a 300i. love it. it's sexy and a joy to be in.
May i ask how xou guys have hud on the corner of your pilot sights im askin bc i dont :(
Another great video Law, thank you for the content!
I went with the 325A, for I think I will need more weapons, based on missions and places I go to.
Now to make another role play video with the 300 series
Coffee machine works now, can refill your cup too...
yes this is what cig need to be working on. the future of gaming.
Another great video thanks. Is there any ground craft that will fit into the 315p’s cargo bay? Or will I be walking everywhere?
so far there's nothing that could fit into cargo bay of any of the 300 series and still be able to quantum travel. You really have to upgrade to a medium sized craft before you can start hauling vehicles around within your ship. The only exception to that, that I can think of off the top of my head, is the titan.
LAWoftheWEST Gaming Thanks bud!
Great video! Love the new 300 series!
I wish I could swap parts of the ship
the 325 weapons and armor
Cargo and capacity of the 315
I'd sacrifice the speed of the others etc too make it work idc I want it
I'm imagining the 325a as some kind of bounty hunter(y) type of ship, minus the prison cells that one of the avengers has...
10:18 where is THAT :o
Man I'm tempted to upgrade my titan to a 315p. Extra cargo and better interior.
I would miss the ramp and greycat hauling capability though
Loweflyer was worth it to me tbh. Plus all the costomization the 315P has. I did it all and did different exterior colors. Definitely a plus.
@@michaelbeleut6480 i havent gotten the game yet, can you customize it with uec or does it have to be real money?
How do you activate the tractor beam in the 315P? I bought one and for the life of me cant figure out how to turn on the tractor beam.
I don't think that mechanic is in the game yet.
Hay law I’m new to the Chanel and new to star citizen, and I know how much work videos are, but could you consider doing a video like this for the reliant series?
Hmm are you sure it is a size 4 weapon slot for the 325a ? I am thinking of upgrading my 300i but the page just states a size 3 possibility. Cheers
yup, just verified it in game. It's a size four weapons mount on the nose. and two size three weapon mounts on the wings.
Is the 325a buyable in game for uec?
it is! : )
Any idea about the spec difference between the 350r Origin 300 Series Celebration and the 'vanilla' one?
Great video as always!
Thanks, exactly the breakdown I wanted.
I own a 325a but i might melt it and pick up the 315
I have a Titan. Would've considered changing over to a 300i if it was the same price
What about the 350R-SP?
12:56
@@lawofthewestgaming you literally have the best SC content on the web, but I was referring to the -SP version of the R.. or maybe they didn't have that version when you did this 4 years ago? Thanks again for the amazing content...
Great Video. Thanks for posting.
What are the possibilities of the Tracktor Beam?
L3O
Plowing snow, plowing fields, pulling space ships back into the road, pretty much anything.
Picture a modern tractor. Now picture a laser beam. Boom! Tractor beam!
I can think of many uses.
For example extracting people out of bad areas so the 315 could be used as a rescue ship also mining
Such well made content!
Great video, thank you for the content!
Hi, I was planning on buying either the 300i or the 315, Im kind of a mining fan and since the 315 has the utility hold at the front, could you attach a mining system there or is it not possible?
Nebula Factory don’t think it’s possible yet. Nothing is implemented concerning the stuff the 315P has. The cargo it holds though is really good.
Are we able to choose ship colors? I plan on getting the game next week.
you can only for the 300 series.....for now......
@@lawofthewestgaming Thanks fam
Can you still customize a 300 series ship of you buy it in-game?
No
It looks like the 350R can with the speed also be fun to fight but the slower 325A looks more powerfull. In fights both speed and power are vital. The question is can the less powerfull 350R outgun the 325A because it's to fast?
I actually thought that Wentworth Miller was the voice actor for this video lmao.
Origin: "Fall in love"
Me: Yes!
The dealership needs to have test flights, or at least hangars where you can get in the ships.
Good video
Hey Law, since you own the ships, can you comment on 300 series hydrogen fuel usage? I have a hypothesis that newly purchased 300s (after 3.8 went live) use a lot of H fuel, while those 300s purchased before 3.8 consume far less fuel. Might be a bug! My arrow, for example, consumes a lot less fuel than my 300. The arrow was purchased a year ago, the 300i just yesterday. I am seeing a lot of variation in H fuel consumption on RUclips, with people clearly playing 3.8. Thanks!
If this series was in the star wars universe what company would build them
Probably the nubian design collective
I think the lack of internal access to cargo from within is a negative & lackluster design for these ships. All there needs to be is a pressurized door. I think too much emphasis was placed upon the aesthetics & not enough on functionality, even for a country club ship. They are really nice looking ships however.
It would be nice to have a floor hatch or if I could open the bay from the outside.
The 350r is going to make for an excellent Drug Runner. If anyone comes after you? You can dart away in a blink of an eye, with no one able to catch you.
Only thing that might in a straight line is a herald, but unless the herald pilot is some kind of Buck Rogers, a 350 will tear him up handily.
@@robertschumacher2707 Definitely. So the 350 really has no threats when it comes to anything that can keep up.
love and loathe this ship. i got a 325 in game, great ship love everything but the paint scheme. and unlike all the other ships i bought i literaly CANT buy a paint for it cause you can only get the metalic blue when you buy the entire ship with cash.
Great Video thanks
Good video, thx!
Plan on starting out in the verse with the 315p and 325a as my. Primaries then work my way up to my hulls and mining ships
Great video :)
Great video but not a fan of the 300 Origin series
nice vid... thx for that... :)
i have been watching this game videos for a week and i still dont know what this game is about
this is elon musk's favorite ship manufacturer.
its official imma save up for the 325... gonna make it my pimp ship
Neat!
Survival mechanics??? NooooooOooooOoo
Too bad spaceship salesman isn't a job in real life
