If it is an "implicit bias" then that means you aren't aware you are doing it. If you are male then you automatically have implicit bias against females, even if you don't think you do.

Chris Thomas Thanks, that’s what I meant. Our company only promotes or hires white people for management positions. They tweak the job description so that it meets the requirements of the person they have in mind (usually a friend within their network). They did this to me twice after I applied for a promotion (updated the job requirements and re-posted it after they found out I threw my hat in). They did a survey last year where one of the questions was about racism in the workplace. I remember thinking how will this flag anything when 70% of the staff is white? It makes me feel powerless because I can’t call it out.

If you have a human resources (HR) department please go talk with them. If not then speak with your immediate supervisor. If that doesn't address the issue then speak to their boss. Go up the chain until you are given a solid answer.

My granddaughter and I were at a grocery checkout and we overheard a white man saying awful things to a black woman in line ahead of him. She finally had enough of his abuse and told him so - as she should have. BUT, then the store manager, not having heard what the man was saying, tried to kick the woman out of the store. That was it for us. We told the manager what the guy was doing and they let her go. But, this is how it happens! And, if we hadn't intervened she would have been banned from her neighborhood grocery store. EVERYBODY needs to speak up and this must stop, NOW.

She had the leash in her hand so why didn't she just leash the dog? Also, while she shouldn't have called the police, I wouldn't like it if a stranger gave my dog treats. I only give my dogs certain treats after I have carefully studied which ingredients are in the treats.

The facts They didnt show what led up to this. He said to her (in a very creepy voice) "I'm going to do what I'm going to do... and you're not going to like it..." while trying to lure her dog towards him. He had been following her and was luring her pet towards him using a pack of dog buscuits he had in his pocket - *even though he didnt own a dog*. He ignored several requests to stop following her -before starting acting all nice just before she called the cops and playing the innocent. The full tape proves everything I just said. When you are a 6 foot plus man following and making strange threatening statements to a small lone woman in a park, dont be surprised when the police are called.
Also, he had previous complaints against him from MULTIPLE pet owners he had approached.
