Well done mate..... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit scared along with you when you cut that piece out. ..... but it turned out awesome. Well done on getting that shape and body line absolutely spot on. There's always shrinkage when welding patches..... it's a balance between getting good penetration at the lowest amps you can get away with.
Patience and refusing to give up are the backbone of everything I do. It’s so easy to be demoralised and quit….just got to keep at it and push on. Thanks heaps for the support!
Welcome back ! Another great one mate , what a result in the end looks mint !! Again definitely worth all the work . The original dash has a little recess where the badge goes and sits flush when mounted , hope you find it as it’s a nice look , have seen them on e- bay before
Thanks Andy! Appreciate the kind words as usual. Agreed on the dash decal. I’d definitely like to find one (have a box of parts I need to dig through). Cheers
You made the right call, that bulge was noticeable, you would have regretted leaving it. I thought you fd it when you cut it out but the final job is awesome.
Thanks Karen! Anyone can do anything if they push hard enough! I don’t disagree on the dash, but I’d like to avoid getting a trimmer involved with the dash and I’m not sure my vinyl skills are good enough. Will see how things play out. Thanks heaps for watching….still!
That was a heart stopper!!!! Amazing work 👏👏👏
It was a bit nervy! No doubt about it

Bold but effective work! Another nice cameo for my hardtop. I’m looking forward to seeing the completed car.
Cheers! 🍻
Great work mate. You have some handy tools in your work shop.
Thanks - yeah, I’ve slowly built them up over time. Sure helps with some of these jobs!
@@Intheshedwithdarren Perfect. Keep it up. 👍
