I have one coming from China to the US Just curious what power settings were you using to strip the Rivera paint and rust very good honest Video .thanks.
im thinking of getting one of these as a startup, i want to learn to weld on the go and take on better projects as i get more experienced, but the maintenance opportunities with these machines seems amazing.
you should never use a laser welder in the open. So on the go is not a great idea. Your supposed to have a full laser cell around you. or at a bare minimum. solid walls to block the beam from hitting anything you dont want. Safety is vastly different from regular arc systems
Can you share what power rating and laser type you purchased? I believe it's a continuous vs Pulse laser as it can weld as well. Thanks for your video, it was very helpful!
There's quite a lot of smoke/dust coming off the job but you weren't wearing a mask and I didn't see an extractor. How bad does the surrounding atmosphere get ?
The building has huge extractors in roof so the fumes go upwards. When using it I usually wear a mask. In the booth I wear a mask even though the extractor is going. Extraction / respirators are needed
I burned up a truck bench seat with my 1500w cw laser, had to run for my garden hose, needless to say a nest infested 75 year old seat went up really quick
You mention that you are going to do lead repair. But, this car most certainly require welding in order to be properly repaired. Lead filler is not restoration, it`s botch repair.
@amunarjoh Not using filler. Using lead. Lead is metal and was used extensively on this car bodywork when new. Over 60 years later the lead areas are in perfect condition. So not a bodge and will last another 60 years.

Thanks. The labour saving must be massive. I've done two car restorations and this would have saved me months of work.
It is very good.
And you will clean up things you probably wouldn't have because of the effort
@@james10739 Yes you are correct.
More terrific content and a very thorough review of Laser cleaning.
Sounds like a wise investment.
Thank you kindly!

You're welcome
In most cases people go to fast with the back and forth motion. Slow the movement down and the results will be impressive.
Yes, took me a while to realise that
wow. that looks so satisfying and seeing the outcome..⛽
It really is!
Ive seen others consume alot of hard to get "lenses" , how have yours done ?
If I come up to MR to bring items for plating, can I discuss the laser service at the same time and same address?
Yes you sure can
What is the power output of your machine? Is it single phase of three phase? And what fuse size do you need?
