Bestway - LAY-Z-SPA Tahiti - Installation Instructions - Bunnings $499
Picked up one of these inflatable spas from Bunnings for $499.
The installation instructions are absolutely useless so decided to do a quick simple video to save folks the pain I went through.
Hopefully this video helps you with installing your LAY-Z-SPA from Bestway.
Let me know in the comments if you have any tips or tricks for installation.
Thanks!

Ho Ho Ho - Merry Christmas all. In this video, I'm preparing the 1976 Galant Hardtop for painting and as it gets closer, it also gets further away. A twist at the end? A happy ending? Car restoration can be fun.....can be :) I hope you enjoy the video and your Christmas. Cheers.

Finally the 1999 Yamaha Waverunner works. Finally it is time to go party. This project grew arms and legs and took much longer than anticipated. I ended replacing the starter twice, the starter bendix, the CDI spark controller, new spark plugs, new battery and about 40 hours of labour (but I knew nothing about 2 stroke jetskis so took me much longer than it would have taken someone with experie...

Back on Part 2 of the 1999 Yamaha Waverunner project. I picked this jetski up super cheap (basically the cheapest one I could find) and the aim is to get it out on the water ripping again for as cheap as possible. Nothing is ever easy though. Merry Christmas Daz. Like you said if you leave it when you know about it, it'll haunt you EVERYTIME you see it. And yep you're spot on.... big projects, particularly olf vehicles that have seen plenty of use in their previous life inevitably have battle wounds and scars that you don't want reminders of when doing a schmick rebuild. I know sanding back is a bitch,.... well it's one of my least favourite jobs, but the more effort to get it smooth means a better looking product at the end. Enjoy your Christmas mate, hopefully get a bit of ski time on the lake and come back to it when you're ready.

In the front yard, is the GC Rally car for parts. It's got a 2ltr 4g52, standard carbies and a factory log manafold. Plan is to run the 1.6 till i blow it up, then decide wether to put the 2ltr in, or k24 swap it. I may or may not have a honda accord euro ready....

    Progressing nicely mate. It's great to see that you can get away with the cheap supercheap brands etc to shoot primer. My thoughts are you can get a great finish without guns that are worth thousands. Sure, the finish may not be as perfectly layed down as those top brand expensive guns but all it requires is a bit of extra yakka to cut and buff, and you'd never know. I certainly makes no sense for primers when you're blocking block anyway to make a smooth surface for mechanical adherance of colour and clear. I'm with you mate on the masking tape, I've found I can't go the real cheaper stuff cause it doesn't stick well enough or it sticks too well and tears soft paint off edges. Unfortunately the expensive stuff is what's needed for crisp edges as well as soft edges but like you, I dunno why sticky paper costs so much.

    • @Intheshedwithdarren
      @Intheshedwithdarren Месяц назад

      Thanks David. I’d never put topcoats on with a cheap gun. There’s just too much work and effort to block back and buff out top coats. But for primers, I absolutely endorse the cheap guns. Cheers

    Very interesting to see one of these getting restored, I worked for a Mitsubishi and Hyundai dealer way back when I did my panelbeating apprenticeship in the late 80's. Where I live (the Shetland Isles which is the furthest north islands in the UK) these things hardly lasted more than a few years due to the tough climate. The dealer sold quite a few of them over the years because of their reliability but certainly not for their ability to stand up to salty air! Good project and I'll keep an eye on your videos.

    Please be careful cutting and dancing MDF, as it’s emerging as a bit of a lung health issue. Those cards are looking great but you may need to cut a rectangular section out for the internal door lock lever, as it sits in a concave box a bit like the internal door lever does but smaller. I’m not sure if they’re available - probably not - but maybe someone could 3D print some, or you could come up with your own alternative, which you clearly have the skills to so.

      Your timing is wild. I haven’t edited the next video yet but have done all the work. Spoiler alert, I remake the door cards out of a more appropriate material and include the provisions for the other door hardware (which I found in a sandwich bag of bits that came with the car). Thanks for the pointers!

    Bold but effective work! Another nice cameo for my hardtop. I’m looking forward to seeing the completed car.

    You’ve probably made the right choice, Darren. I had one recovered by a well known dash repair service and it wouldn’t fit, thanks to shrinkage. Here’s the sorry tale, photos and all: uppermiddlepetrolhead.blogspot.com/2017/08/final-touches-dashboard-doctor.html.
