I think the Gymni gives a value advantage as a cheap PROPER 4X4. The offroaders dont give a damn about anything except offroad practicality. Bs6-2 Thar diesel has dpf issues and petrol has atrocious fuel economy. Overall for Himalayan explorers it is a better call. Yes, underbody cover MUST BE GIVEN. also a roof mount from the factory.
I have driven my jimny alfa at 5k kms in just 29 days i use it as my daily commute which is 110 kms daily and its comfortable to drive and i drive in delhi , yes i agree lot of basic features missing for the price also the bottle holder is there but your car used that space for armrest and
A few days ago I was there in the Maruti showrooms with my friend's father. After test-driving both Brezza and Jimny, they selected the Brezza and booked it. The main reason was the Size, interior feel, and fuel economy figures quoted by the sales guys. One thing the Jimny sales guy highlighted was that Girls like the look of Jimny more than Brezza. He recently sold many jimny which were meant to be driven by female customers.
Jimny is a 4by 4 and not toy. Car enthusiasts who know what an off-road car is, will not comment so far like toying comments. There is lot of dynamics that come into place, looks are not important when it comes to off-road vehicles.
Paaji i have a ques. regarding coolants As u and munish ji told in one of ur YT vids that green coolant shouldn't be put in any german car What if some1 has done the same for the last 4/5 services...is that car still considering to be bought? Also, Mere ko pata nahi aap kis cheez se shoot karte ho, par agar aap iPhone se kar rahe ho to Paaji light ke opposite side mat kiya karo camera, andhera andhera lagta hai. Jab aap departure angle aur approach angle ke shots dikha rahe the to bilkul andhera lag rah tha. Just something I thought I should let you know

Weight has to be minimum for off-roading as it helps reduce ground pressure and the vehicle doesn’t get stuck in mud. Its impossible to use heavy sheet metals like tata and VAG and keep the vehicle light as this vehicle is purpose built for off-roading only. There is a reason why Army prefers this vehicle. But underbody plastic cover should have been provided as it prevents mud and dust from the wheels entering those parts.

So when i visited service center with my slavia just for curiosity i asked service advisor abt this so he said tht skoda VW uses Normal oil paint which is used by other brand like hyundai Honda maruti.it looks different bcz they use striking color shades. Water based paint is only used by luxury cars... this is what he said...
Seat height adjustment, underbody protection and 205 section tyres if given would have been at least been justifiable to buy a jimny... I bought a thunder edition and i love my jimny... But the above are a very basic requirements for any off roader....maruti should at least realise now and offer underbody protection as accessories.... The indian roof rack offered by maruti is dumb.... But abroad i think they are offering some good roof racks as Accessories
Maruti actually delivered us a good product but missed out big time on the Pricing and Overall Dimensions of the 🚗. It should have been in range of 9.99 lacs - 12.99 lacs ex showroom. A slightly wider rubber ,more height and at least 50 mm wider
Most people do not realise that this is not a Maruti product. Its from Suzuki... just that its made in a Maruti factory. ...and India is certainly not the market that they're targeting.
If sales can improve 😮, January 2024 reported only 163 units of Suzuki Jimny sold!! Now all JIMNY owners need to think and help the company by increasing sales
Hi! After updates it has become fine & no issues with the cooling whatsoever in the initial period when compressor cut off too often. However, Seltos/Creta/GV cools better.
Hi Sunderdeep, I'd recommend you update your knowledge about the car, its variants, etc before hand, rather than do guess work live. Gives a poor opinion about you to the viewer. Few examples: Thunder edition dosen't get headlamp washer...The Zeta (variant you describe) dosen't have cruise control, etc. Both Alpha and Zeta variants get drum brakes at the rear, discs up front. No dead pedal ...The dead pedal is very much there, if you look closely. The after market carpet blocks your view, that's why you don't see it. Seat covers and the steering wheel cover, door grips are part of Nexa accessories (given as part of the Thunder Edition). Plastic pattern on the dash and in general is to make it weather and dirt resistant. I don't get what you meant by upmarket patten ? The hand rest is not part of the Jimny, this is an after market accessory. 1.0 Turbo of Fronx power output is lesser than this engine.(98.69bhp@5500rpm), however torque figures are marginally more. .Take a look at videos from your counterparts from SA, Australia, where the very same 5 door Jimny is sold...The plastics are the same, the features are the same (barring a few). It sells well there..because Thar is not permitted to sell owing to copyright issues (copy of Jeep Wrangler).

I think it is a very baised and illogical review. I am 6.3 and I own jimny manual, the car has zero vibrations, it has excellent shocks, excellent milege and fun to drive Vehicle. 4 doors make it family friendly. We cannot compare the international version as the price is different. Thar is a very different Vehicle with its own limitations, it can't be primary car...

In India, there are just two options in petrol 4x4. Competitor petrol 4x4 is worst on mileage. Jimny still returns 10-12 in city n 15-16 on highways
