Dhananjay ji, this is a rewarding statement and thanks for support. In "Jimny Cookbook Series", there will be many such videos. You can also watch another video "10 Reasons Why You Should Buy Jimny". Also, on this Sat, there will be my next video. I will also start a new series on different automobiles concepts and DIY etc. Thanks again for your kind words. Stay tuned for Sat. 👍🙌 If possible, also help with spreading the content. 👋
Jimmy is one of the finest vehicle for mountains, I experience the Jimmy while my trip to kufri, we had to go offgrid and in steep slopes, it goes where no other vehicle can go...it's a fantastic vehicle
Sure and thanks for sharing your experience and support. For the support for the same reason you will see my next video on Sat afternoon. Stay tuned. 👍
Wow, that's great. Both are siblings. In many countries, the Gypsy was launched with the name of Jimny (Gen 2) only. Enjoy it. Thanks for your support. 👍
Thanks for your response and I am with you. I would say not just in the Indian market but in the global market in its segment. The term segment is important to understand. My next video is coming on Saturday and I will talk about it a lot. Happy driving 😊👍
Amit ji, your comment is a reward for my efforts I put in so far and keeps me motivating. This enables me to work further and hopefully exceeds everyone's expectations, at least I try. Many thanks for your comment and support. White is evergreen like the color of water we never get bored with 😊. Apart from being philosophical, colors are emotions of people so all colors are good. Choices must be respected. Next video tomorrow so stay tuned and help to spread content. Thanks again 👍
Sanjay ji, many thanks for the encouragement and support. Much needed. I believe in communication is the key that connects. I do quit a decent research as you rightly observed reflects I replies. Next video is this Saturday afternoon and after few cycles I will try posting them twice a week. Many thanks for wishes. ✌️👍
Swarup ji, thanks for your comment and sharing your experiences. We all learn from each other's experiences 😊 You will see many such glimpses in my upcoming video on this Saturday so please stay tuned. 👍👋
Thanks for your kind words, working on the next video which may give you more reasons to buy it, I will publish it on Friday or max by this Sat. Please stay tuned. Thanks again 👍
Hello Sir some members reported below issues on their Jimny Have u faced any of them 1.Propeller shaft rubs against car underbelly under extreme articulation or load Because of this there was a bangle mark on the propeller of the shaft 2.Jimny leans towards the right side 3.There was loss of pressure in braking at high altitudes.
First of thanks for your comment and support! #1 You are absolutely correct, because this vehicle is for such extreme articualation so Suzuki must not give lame execuses on it and take it seriously because that is a backbone of the vehicle to keep it moving. I see some unofficial workarounds but I wont recommend and better to raise it with Suzuki so they should recall all vehicle 5-Door Jimny. I believe this is not an issue with 3 door because of smaller wheel base and shorter shaft. #2 Sometimes I also feel it but I do not have solid evidence, I need to check seriously. #3 You are absolutely right, I raised this already in Suzuki and one of Suzuki engineer is working on it from Chandigarh but trust me this a design flaw and has to be raised at highest to get that fixed. I will cover all those issues, not limited to these three but many more in a month time and currently I am doing the research so I can provide a concerete information in my video. I do not want to misguide beautiful people around. keep watching, keep on supporting and spread my content. Thanks.
Hey my friend, please look for Bimbra accessories. Please watch this video for the specific model and more details around: ruclips.net/video/mBKwmyeOTgU/видео.html Hope, this helps! 👍
Thanks for the insights. I have bought it with 2L discount, i live in Delhi and i loveee it for my daily commute and offroading is super fun. I saw beasts line ISUZU struggling in tough obstacles but it was childrens game for Jimny
Thanks for support Sachin Sahab! 👍 Without being biased, it is indeed lovely vehicle and capable too. The biggest mistake people normally does is to compare it with heavier vehicles. But it has its own segment. The only major common feature with other big brothers is 4x4 system. As you rightly said, being light weight it can outperform many in some situation but certainly not all. I will discuss that in a dedicated video later. Next week on Saturday you will see an interesting video so stay tuned and thanks again! ✌️👍
@@MashofreaksAuto Righty said sir, its about power to weight ratio. I waited for Jimny just like you, observed Thar for a long time. Jimny is a practical vehicle with 4 doors, metal roof, descent boot space, fuel economy etc. It can be ones only vehicle but Thar cant be.
Well, I enjoyed Thar in its RAW form for 12 years and bought very soon it was launched with ECM with safety. I never compare these two but both are legendary. These non-living but lovely things also need respect in their own areas and I trust in that approach sir. Thanks for your comment.
Reason 10 is something that I have faced. Service center refused me for wheel alignment saying that they don't have software for it. I don't know what software has to do with alignment but I did not wanted to force them to do something they didn't want to and moved on.
Paramjit ji, then you really have lots of patience. You may also send an email to maruti services regarding this so it will be documented and they probably advise you as well. Feel free to ask if you have a query. Thanks 👍
My different videos are of different subjects. This is just one leaf 🌿 of the "Jimny Cookbook Series". For a complete understanding if at all you are interested in Jimny watch all videos sequentially Sir. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Dipankar ji, thanks for supporting and commenting. Let me try to answer it. There are good and bad things about the 4 speed AT torque converter. It is surely not as good as your MT gear box in terms of control and power at will. So you might not get that punch in a few situations but you can shift to 1, 2 gears manual mode in those situations. 4 speed AT is very old fashioned. One good thing about it is it is not a Suzuki AMT type of but typically a CVT gearbox where you see lesser lags and way better control than AMT in steep up and down hill. I personally prefer MT not AT in hills because I want to contro it my own way of driring. I could have bought AT if Suzuki would have been offered 6 speed AT not 4 speed. I will make a separate video on comparing all these gear boxes in detail. Hopefully, for now it is helpful to clear some of your doubts. Thanks for watching and supporting!
Nice explanation. Just took the plunge with an AT. Is there a need to go for underbody protection kit, for places you ve shown in your video or like khoksar-losar stretches?
Good question, it's a bit subjective. In normal cases, No. In extreme cases, Yes. Normally, from Losar to Gramphu is one the worst patches in India. So you never know. I did this patch with my avenger, ignis, and Jimny. 😊 If you feel at risk, don't do that in the rainy season, if you still want to, I suggest doing it from Manali to Losar and then Kaza. Lastly, don't put the underbody kit in a hurry. Because not all are very friendly if the mechanic needs to work on your vehicle. I never do big bangs. Hope this helps? Thanks for your support 👍
Here in north India where there are many mountains roads, hilly jungle, streams, river roads, etc. Jimny is the best option, it's very reliable, performing very very well and most importantly it can take a lot of abuse and is very easy and simple to maintain get parts and repair which is very important for offroading cars. Very satisfied with my jimny
Thanks for sharing your experiences, it is not Jimny but it is Suzuki which is not performing well. Stay tuned on Saturday afternoon for my next video on this topic. 👍👋
Thanks for your support Kunal Ji. I just started the Jimny Cookbook Series so I will post multiple videos in this series and one on the way today afternnon. Yes, I will start doing in depth review of many other vehicles in the row. Many thanaks for your valuable suggestion. To answer your question, I stay at small place if I am placed suppose in bigger city with least chances of bumper to bumper drive and ciaz is the vehicle I should have been bought for me and my family. It is perfect and so comfortable car for family specially on Highways. Being a Suzuki car definitely a better service network than many other siblings in the market. Its sale is less so you can get big discounts, no surprice if upto 2-3 lacs(negotiable). But you may not get good resale because Indian market is almost gone towards SUVs or hatchback and least chances old fashion to come back very soon :-). One more thing, it is good comparable car with Honda City but more a value for money at this moment. Also, please keep in mind due to least sales of sedan's in market you never know which one is going to discontinue in the near futher so this is a small risk with Sedans at the moment in the Indian market. Feel free to ask anything else you need. Keep supporting, spreading my content. I will try exceeding the expectations. Please stay tuned for today's Video. Thanks.
In my opinion, half carrier is best. Am using bimras half carrier, an dosent weight much too. Thar roxx is not launch yet, but still which one will be better, jimny or thar roxx sir?
You are right, it is a subject of need and what appeals to a person between half and full carrier so I respect your choice. Honestly, apart from the reason both are 4x4, these two vehicles are not comparable as per my opinion but ironically people do that 😊. What I think about what kind of discount we are getting in Jimny is Mahindra Thar ROXX. There is a huge difference between the two. Thar as a product is proven in India and Suzuki made Jimny struggle like hell. You can see a detailed video on Jimmy's launch on 10th August, Saturday. I publish all my Jimny Cookbook series videos on Saturdays. And there are so many in the pipeline where I am working hard. Thanks for your support and feel free to ask any questions I can help you with. I will also try to publish a ROXX review if I get that car. Thanks again.
@mashofreaks auto, i have a question, which is better to buy a manual drive or an Automatic. I stay in Mumbai, and have to deal with the Mumbai traffic (if you know what I mean. ) & I travel outstation with my family 3 to 4 times a year. We are a family of four, but are a bit of heavy travellers, with luggage. Main thing is Mumbai Traffic and seasonal torrential Mumbai Rains, with water clogging on most of the streets.
My friend, Short Answer: with the given scenarios you mentioned go for AT if you are a person who does not enjoy a heavy throttle on highways. Long Answer: work in progress on detailed video on this subject if you like to wait a couple of weeks. Hope, this answers your question?
Sir what are your comments on build quality (Paint, pillars and fenders) and ruggedness of the vehicle. Can it be a daily driver for shopping and going to office.
Honestly, this is a different vehicle from Suzuki. The last most strong vehicle from Suzuki which I know was Breeza with better rating. But the kind of steel used in crashpoints and at many places is way better quality than other Suzuki vehicles, this is not best in the market but what way better than the image of Suzuki India. They used better thickness of steel than Breeza in this in the pillars and other parts. I have white which is evergreen so less issues. Otherwise also, the paint quality is good, probably not the best like some of the premium vehicles. Lastly, this has the Jeep DNA so surely not like sedan or other hatchback but you can take words it has far better drive and comforts than many other ladder-on-frame chessis. So you can use it with the small family of 4 going office and shopping but the issue is this will not stop you there because it has hardcore offroad DNA so will definitely drive this more than that :-) Watch my next Video on Saturday before you buy it. Hope, this helps!
Thanks for your support. Sure, actually this is from Bimbra 4x4 Gurgaon. In a short while I'll paste the link. BTW, you may find it nearby e.g. suppose you are near Chandigarh, what is your location?
BTW, I am pasting the link of the website because I do not find the product's direct link, please speak with them and please note that listed prices will be negotiable: bimbra.in/
Right to the point logicaly explained. Sir I own 1 Gypsy, one old petrol Brezza, another new petrol Brezza. Now that Discount tempts me to exchange my old Brezza for Jimny. What's your Advice ?
Well, huge discount these days. Access which vehicle between two, Gypsy vs Brezza is useful for you in future. Thoroughly decide which you are going exchange and go for it. Gypsy is the King but Brezza is new and a family car. Discuss and decide within family. Mashofreaks@gmail.com is my gmail id for any query of help I could extend. Happy to help. Thanks for support.
Did you experience break getting jammed issue at high altitudes? And also did u face any "death wobble" which is common in most jimnys? Kindly reply...
Yes, I did and reported in Suzuki. This is really serious thing. I used workaround to save life. We should collectively raised this. Tomorrow I will followup in email. You may connect me at mashofreaks@gmail.com. Thanks for your response and support. BTW, on Sat there will be next video.
@@MashofreaksAuto kindly make a video on the workaround and Suzuki's response. Also talk about the propeller shaft rubbing against the cross member. These 3 reasons are holding me back from booking one even with these huge discounts.
Well, surely I can do for fist reason but need to collect more evidence on propeller shaft. Some serious and evident research is needed. I have two more issues in mind. It may take some time but I will surely do that but not very soon. For first alone I can do it bit early in a month time based on Suzuki's response.
After seeing tastefully modified Jimmy’s during my recent Himachal trip I’ve been falling for this vehicle for its capabilities and looks more and more and day by day. Initially I hated the dimensions and the price point at which it was launched . But after the recent corrections and offers it seems like a value for money product and overall a good package. You explained it very well in this video but sir that Crotch buster key ring you got is diabolic.
😊 Starting with a smile for the Crotch Buster Key Ring, thanks for the suggestion! The only thing, I can say is you are a keen observer. No doubt for many Jimny is Love after Marriage. It is a beautiful machine. If anyone wants to know its real capabilities. Go to the hills as you rightly said my friend. Thanks for your time, contribution, and a suggestion 🙂👍
@@MashofreaksAuto I am planning to purchase it around Diwali. Just visiting dealerships and take quotations as of now. It’s gonna be either a Jimny or a that roxx . Fingers crossed. 🤞🏻
It depends what your requirements are, I both are totally different vehicles. I do not think so you will ROXX 4x4 anything less than 21-22 if I am not wrong. ROXX is a good car but no more it is a THAR. I am from Himachal Pradesh and its footprint is the biggest issue for our day to day off-road commute in narrow terrains with it.

Side view cameras should be elongated like they used to be in previous gypsy for heighted vehicles.becoz in car like at times in a space crunch area during reversing u need view of wheels as well as upper body parts.
Thanks for your comment! 👍 Probably I do not understand your comment completely but what I understood from you is the better maneuvering capability much needed so every corner is visible in most of the difficult situations, right? If so the 360 camera like they launched in New Age Baleno should have been sufficient. What do you say?
Thanks Mandeep ji. Sure, your add-ons are most welcome. And you have very valid points. Also, look at the next video on "why we should buy Jimny". You probably have some valuable feedback. Thanks for commenting and supporting.
Very good review. Your title deceives the actual good review. A lot of my doubts got cleared. Also got clarity in how to deal with the dealer and service centre. Also I agree that a few approaches of Suzuki towards this car and the Indian public in general is questionable. They shouldn't take us for granted, it's high time Suzuki wakes up and addresses these niggling issues. Or as they say, "If one doesn't change with time, Time changes you." Even if it's an organisation. Let's keep in mind Nokia and Blackberry.
Thanks for your support and comment. You rightly said, I often give the same example of Finnish and Canadian giants who are not in the dust now. I also made a video on Suzuki Jimny launch mistakes as part of the "Jimny Cookbook Series". I am with you and support your comment 😊🤝👍
My friend, thanks for your kind words. This is one chapter of the "Jimny Cookbook Series", and many more to come. Thanks for supporting and commenting 😊🙏

Sir, can you please share the details.and links of the accessories installed in your Jimny. Have you also installed throttle response, if yes, then it's product link too...💐🙏
My dear friend, thanks for watching and supporting me. This Saturday video is all about modifications I have done and I will share the most of the relevant links in it. Hopefully, that works. I used several throttle response controllers for testing and honestly, none of them really impressed me. It's just a device play with our brain. I will sometime make a dedicated video on it. But still if you want to buy one suppose then do not go for a cheaper one because if it fails while you are driving on speed is risky because the throttle will almost close to stop or non responding in that case. But if you still want it, then you may consider the Australian one which at least passes through a good level of QC. The link below is only for your reference, you may buy it from wherever it is cheaper, this is a Bluetooth version: www.4x4modsaustralia.com.au/Ultimate9-X931-evcX-Throttle-Controller-Jimny-18 Hope, this helps! ☺️👍
Sure my friend! Will you please explain the tyre wobbling issue exactly you are facing or the other Jimny owner are facing? Are you currently facing it? I may have an answer for this now.
Sir, Are you using headlight grills for jimny? Or any idea where you can buy it ? I have seen it in Amazon but pretty costly. If you run through any sites or links which sells just headlight grills which is cost effective pls let us know. Regards
Dear Ajai, no I am not using any. The grill you have seen in the Amazon portal is just of superion quality and if I am not wrong you need paste with maybe double tape or so though not very sure. I will take a note of it but chances are less. I also want to put grills like it was there for the first edition Thar available officially. Anyway, I will keep an eye on this. Thanks.

You're welcome, my upcoming video on this Saturday is going to talk a lot about this. And probably, each frame is going to be useful for new buyers or existing Jimny owners. Thanks 👍
Great video. I also bought jimny MT alpha back in December when MSIL offered discounts in the name of thunder edition. I got it for 14.10 lakhs on road. I didn’t want to miss on the great offer that time but now that the same model is available for about 12 lakhs on road, i feel cheated and disappointed with MSIL. This was my first maruti vehicle and i have been let down by their sale mechanism. Jimny no doubt is a great vehicle but i feel if this was the initial price (10 lakh base model and 12 lakh top model (MT)), sale figures for this car would have been a lot different. I also live in Himachal so this compact 4x4 car is a great addition to have in your garage. Maneuvering on narrow difficult terrain is a walk in the park for this car. I love my jimny but seeing the current discounts being offered make me feel cheated and tbh a lil angry. What about the resale value of my car now? Pathetic!
Many thanks for your kind words and support! Yes, you are right and this the blunder. I am going to publish a detailed analyses by end of the next week on the same and many other such things. Even now (August 2024)I’m getting an offer for Alpha MT for 14.10 on road. Did it go down to 12? I’m thinking Diwali should be a good time to get the vehicle. More discounts possible I’m hoping
@@MashofreaksAuto truly appreciate the reply. Do let me know what you think of the quote I was given. Chennai Jimny Alpha AT quote I received. Ex showroom price - 13.69L Reg cost - 2.49L TCS -13.69k Insurance - 58.6k On road - 16.91L (-) Consumer bonus - 1L (-) MSSF Login Finance - 1.5L (-) insurance margin adjustment- 10k (-) additional offer - 17k (-) additional insurance adjustment- 4.1k Total 2.81L discount Onroad - 14.10L
Most welcome! How come the registration cost is 2.49L? Also, insurance has more margin. May be 10k lesser, check which insurance company under Maruti insurance has best offering and good support with least premium. This field is very competitive. You may also negotiate on free extended warranty as well. Whatever you will get extra it is your money you will save. Make a sense? 😊
That's a very good question. For highway couple of tips avoid going beyond 91 Km/h I found this as a sweet spot. In a nutshell, don't rev the engine beyond 2400 rpms, secondly, use the momentum of the vehicle rather than the throttle every time. E.g. if you reach 100Km/h or plus speed then use momentum of the vehicle with a very light pedal so rpm will be in control. Cities, never push the pedal hard, I was in Delhi 2 months ago and got around 14 km/l in city. Mind it is not a diesel engine which uses lots of torque so use throttle sweetly. This is the key. Mine is MT, count at least 1 km/l less avg because underperformed torque converter in AT because it just 4 speed. Hope, this helps. BTW, if you want I can make a video on this but it will take some time.
Sir thanks for great videos on Jimny. In one of your vlog I mentioned that I am from Himachal @ Mandi and thinking of buying Jimny . My simple question is that as you know in our Himachal many hill roads we have u turn ( केंची मोड़ ) On such u turn does it run smoothly on 2nd or 1 st gear or we have to take 4 by 4 . Please I am mentioning on general roads not कच्चा रोड्स 🙏🙏🙏
Many thanks for liking my video and I am glad you like it. Lets talk more on Telegram Group - "Jimny Cookbook Series", please join the group with the below link. t.me/+8S49enqjf41mMGU1
Great news if they now introduced it, was not. Has that fitted in your vehicle? Just called up the dealer and they are still denying. If it is true it is available then must have launched recently and the dealership has no information. I will speak with Suzuki TSM on Monday. In a nutshell, it must had been launched as a built-in feature.
Update as promised: As on date, the Suzuki connect is not yet launched for Jimny. I am confirming this after speaking with the Suzuki internal team. It is in the pipeline and may launch after sometime.
@@MashofreaksAuto I stand corrected. My apologies. Post my purchase of a Jimny, I was told by the dealer rep a month ago that it is available. Suzuki Connect website shows it available. But dealer has retracted and confirmed it is currently unavailable for Jimny.
Sharad ji, it is not at all a small thing to apologize, it win hearts. BTW, you need not be be feel sorry at all. You did a great contribution to raise an alarm this has been crosschecked. Not at all your fault. Sometimes sales over commit which normally misguide consumer and I hate that. You are an awesome person and thanks for your contribution 😀 ✌️🙌
Good explanation sir. I suggest you to change name of video to " What you don't get in Jimny" or something, right now name is very very negative. Thanks.
First of all thanks for your support! I completely agree with you for the single video but this is going to be the length of a series of at least 20-25 videos, next is going to be what are the reasons we should buy Jimny this Saturday and so on. Probably after watching this series your complaint will be covered to a greater extent. But I respect your words. If you see this title is sort of setting up irony and also guidelines if someone wants to avoid it because of these reasons Sir. Hope, you are convinced to some extent. Please stay tuned for more Gaganjit ji. Help spreading it if you like. Thanks for your support.
@diasvivek main visible difference between JB74 and JB64 is, JB64 do not have black fibre wheel arcs, look at that again. It looks like this is another topic I should make a video for 😊
As far as I know, there is no rule written in the motor vehicle act that the roof rack is not allowed. The rule is about not modifying the dimensions and safety of the vehicle.
Sir, I want your honest opinion. My budget is around 20 lacs, and I plan to take frequent trips to the Himalayas. Should I go for the Jimny Alpha AT or the Creta SX(O) AT? My father had a Verna for a decade before switching to a Creta in 2022, and we've had a very good experience with Hyundai. I want to buy my own car and try something new but am unsure if Maruti is the right brand for me regarding reliability and long-term use.
Well, this is a subjective question but let me try to answer it here. If for the most of the trips you are going into the Himalayas then think about a 4x4 vehicle because you probably need to face difficult terrains and especially in bad weather, snow, etc, right! Creta or any non 4x4 vehicle will probably not solve the purpose and you may regret it later. Gurkha/Thar/Jimny all are good in this price point but you actually need to understand their individual capabilities first based on your priorities. If you like to go to Jimny, then I would suggest you go for Alpha MT in this case. Do the brain storming and come back with more questions. Hope, this helps! Hope, you enjoyed the videos.
Well, Mr. Negi this is a good point but in my videos I never suggested MT Vs AT except in individual discussions based on needs and it is a very personal choice where one feels more comfortable with after a satisfactory demo. To answer your question, honestly speaking if anyone driven any hardcore offroader vehicle in the past should not complain about the Jimny MT gear lever is hard and also it gets slowly smoother as one drives it a few thousand KMs. Also, in the Jimny AT gear box one can't get power/torque deliveries so quickly on demand as compare to MT so you will get a better control in MT in Hills, Offroad and Highway scenario in MT variants. This topic is already in my list to make a video for. Hope, this answers your question. Thanks 👍
Well, it is very much a personal choice but to answer your question. If you most of the time in city and traffic AT is best but mind it is 4 speed old transmission box which make you sacrifies on fuel economy, bit a lesser control on pickup, it has built in torque converter so suzuki opted it and other reason suzuki opted it for is lesser cost than a 6 speed AT gearbox. MT gearbox is good too, you will feel better control, initial 5000-10000 kms you will feel it not that smooth but as you know it is offroader not a cruising vehicle so most of 4x4 behaves like it. MT is not very friend in bumper to bumper drives. All the best for decision and feel free to ask anything else you like ask. Keep supporting, you will see next video by this Saturday. Also, watch that before you actually buy it. Happy buying!
My friend, not sure why your comment was held for review by YT and now I see it after a week otherwise I always reply on comment on same day if it is not one hour time. I bought MT being I am using 4x4 from last 15-20 years and have MT application more in hills, are you planning to or already have one?
Suzuki should have returned the now discounted money to the earlier customers as a goodwill gesture Jimny sale in India will be stopped i think Roxx already booked almost two lakhs now I have become fan of your knowledge
Well, Suzuki played so badly and what you said is the voice of almost all early buyers. Suzuki badly spoiled her brightest kid named "Jimny". Hope, you do not mind, ironically, success of Jimny also in the interest of all buyers so they will get better support instead calling it a discontinued car. A bitter truth! Thanks for your kind words and support!
@@MashofreaksAuto I really feel very Sorry for Jimnys failure in India ( a very capable True SUV failed in India ) Jimny deserve more Maruti Suzuki themselves should be blamed also I agree with you in all the points and all are very true and valid points I hope it might become a cult vehicle at a later date Like the film Agneepath ( Old one )
You have rightly said, but if you trust me Jimny is not failed, it will surely pickup the sales if and only if Suzuki come forward be very honest with customer. Suzuki also made a hype of booking in the same way Mahindra is making right now. They all are same and making fool of customer. They all create hype of competition and we all become an easy prey. Again a bitter truth! I am putting all my efforts for Jimny and Jimny owners. This is all I can do! Help to spread the content. Thanks!
@@MashofreaksAuto Thanks for your reply help and support But my opinion is that Maruti doesn't seem to have anymore true intention to sell Jimny in India They are happy with the export numbers They killed a very capable and brightest product Jimny (as you said and I also agree ) right at the beginning Now it seems almost impossible But hope for the best
But still trust me it is not gonna fail. I have reason for it probably can't discuss in comment section. But you are right that they have good export number and this is one of the reason which will not be able to out Jimny that soon from India! Given you a hint sir. 😊
Thanks for sharing your experiences and the same here. It is awesome companion virtually go anywhere. If it stuck somewhere there are only a few options but those options stuck with their weight on the other obstacle, especially in hills. 👏 Thanks for your support, lots to come in this "Jimny Cookbook Series" 👋
You are close, AT normally give lesser but a great vehicle for heavy traffic and ease of drive. Jimny's 4 speed automatic is not that great for mileage but does a decent job in offroading and this the reason Suzuki saved their money by not meshing up 6 speed automatic gearbox with 1.5L motor. Thanks for support. 👍
Jimny is only good for light traking and off-road only for good road can't go through rough terrain with heavy load and above all parts are very light compared to other 4w4
Few of your points are so valid, especially the heavy load. However, being it is so light weight it can go to any rough terrains where other many stock 4x4 vehicle can go but yes not with the heavy load like gypsy because Jimny is nothing but another generation of Gypsy only. Thanks for commenting and watching. 👍👋
Well, you rightly said. Jimny is so loved in South Africa, Australia, South East Asia, and many other countries being it is so compact off-roader, virtually go anywhere. Thanks 👍

Pritpal ji, very true and I am with you. 360 was the easiest thing but as you know to make it sit 5 person they probably forced to widen the chassis which is equivalent to re-engineering the new vehicle because all the underbody parts including suspension has to be re-engineered but Suzuki wanted to earn easy profit. 😊
Never ever lose your heart my friend only a small % who has a born affordability to expensive things, many of us earn later. You really think then you buy it one day. Thanks for your support 👍
I see you've got one of those badly built Bimbra roof carriers, like me, and have thrown away the useless cush rubbers which don't fit. And have had to live with the asymmetrical clamps with no logical spacing between them.
Thanks for sharing you experience. You have a very good point, one of my known had similar feedback. But this is not my feedback and I have a reason for it. Well, the quality of the steel powder coating is good so I do not think the build quality is bad but there is definitely issue as raised by you in rubber and clamps etc. And that issue only be faced if the fitment of the roof carrier is not good. So in nutshell, how competent the folks to fit this is more important than the product itself. Similar fitment issue was happened with the ladder, which I get that fixed later. And now the roof carrier and ladder both are performing superb. I carry almost 80Kgs of weight during my Ladakh trip. I am going to bring so much of useful contents and tailor maid things in my multible videos ahead. Thanks for your support and stay tuned.
@@MashofreaksAuto True. This is what the customer support always growls back at me, "Sir, don't try to do it yourself, go to a good garage." and when I do, the garage confirms all my complaints. Right now I'm struggling with an Automods/Harman foglight stay with bolts that are too long and need to be cut, again confirmed by a good garage. And their customer care growls, "Sir you have to remove the bumper."
I can understand your concern and you are right. I never do big bangs with the vehicle so I take these one by one. These garages want to do big bangs because of lucrative money so I don't follow. My approach is different. Many things I do my own so no regrets, I know not everything is possible. I believe more in being creative. My upcoming video on this Saturday probably gives more insight to the product. Please stay tuned and thanks for the comment. 👍
This car is bought by people who are nostalgic for Jimny. Else it has nothing. I regret buying this car. So small and no space. Just useless show off. I am ready to sell my car. Avoid Jimny people. Wait for new Jimny which is wider and more spacious
My friend the choices must be respected and you have the full right to make your decision. Trust me it's a real utility realized when one goes to narrow spaces, hills and goes anywhere virtually in any season which becomes the biggest reason why the Indian Army chosen its sibling Gypsy. Your point of view about space is so rational. If you are already engaged with it then do not divorce it too early my friend. Also wait for my next video on this Sat for the strengths I felt about. @@MashofreaksAutosir I am an ex Army man,let me tell you yes the gypsy is an excellent vehicle for senior officers betc but it is a useless offroader for carrying troops,u can't even fire with your weapon if ambushed, many have been martyred because of this , you can't quickly alight and it has low power ,the Pakistani army is much smarter because it uses The Hilux which is 100 times better, every one knows why it's the best. Also it can be fitted with multiple weapon platforms.
@@cannibalronny7314 Jai Hind Shri Maan, my father was too. Thats great learning from your experience and many thanks for value add. I am not defending Jimny at all. Due to some modern technology things are changed in the 4rth Gen Jimny but thats very true it is not suitable for carrying weight as I mentioned in the video which probably the main reason Indian Army did not opt it yet even though Suzuki did not sold Military color Jimny publicly. I completely trust on you as you served for nation and have real time experiences. No I don't think so but there are chances there will be an uplift model to cover its shortfalls in a year or so. None of the vehicles in history were discontinued in 2 years time. Hopefully, this answer to your question. Thanks.

Hello Sir some members reported below issues on their Jimny
Have u faced any of them
1.Propeller shaft rubs against car underbelly under extreme articulation or load
Because of this there was a bangle mark on the propeller of the shaft
2.Jimny leans towards the right side
3.There was loss of pressure in braking at high altitudes.
Thanks.

Without being biased, it is indeed lovely vehicle and capable too.

Right Santosh ji 👍
Thanks foe the video and explanation.. I am not sure about the performance of automatic gears 4×4 for mountains. Thanks.
Excellent explanation ❤

Well explained 👍 quite genuine opinion….
Thanks for support 👍
Nice explanation.
Just took the plunge with an AT.
Is there a need to go for underbody protection kit, for places you ve shown in your video or like khoksar-losar stretches?
Good question, it's a bit subjective. In normal cases, No. In extreme cases, Yes. Normally, from Losar to Gramphu is one the worst patches in India. So you never know. I did this patch with my avenger, ignis, and Jimny. 😊
If you feel at risk, don't do that in the rainy season, if you still want to, I suggest doing it from Manali to Losar and then Kaza. Lastly, don't put the underbody kit in a hurry. Because not all are very friendly if the mechanic needs to work on your vehicle. I never do big bangs. Hope this helps?
Thanks for your support 👍
@@MashofreaksAuto Thanks a lot .

One of the best in depth review. You should review more sir.
What is your opinion on buying ciaz in 2024?
My friend,
Short Answer: with the given scenarios you mentioned go for AT if you are a person who does not enjoy a heavy throttle on highways.

After seeing tastefully modified Jimmy’s during my recent Himachal trip I’ve been falling for this vehicle for its capabilities and looks more and more and day by day. You explained it very well in this video but sir that Crotch buster key ring you got is diabolic.

The link below is only for your reference, you may buy it from wherever it is cheaper, this is a Bluetooth version:

@bnj2669 Well, currently with a Suzuki loan discount, the on-road price should not be more than 13 lakhs at any cost. Double check this.

Sir how are you achieving 16/17kmpl? All my friends are getting 12/13 max on highway and 8/9kmpl city, real world mileage.

Suzuki Connect is available for Jimny

If I am not wrong, the 3 door Gen 4 Jimny was launched in 2018...
Thanks for your response Vivek ji, yes you are right but it was JB74 not JB64 which was launched much before JB74.
@@MashofreaksAutobut that model was different from what was shown in the video.
@diasvivek main visible difference between JB74 and JB64 is, JB64 do not have black fibre wheel arcs, look at that again. It looks like this is another topic I should make a video for 😊
I got the top model AT at 12.70 on road. Total discount of 3.70 lakhs and I am very happy

Wheather roof rail is allowed
@@MashofreaksAuto Why not suggest for automatic variant specially for the hills area? Because some people saying that gear is very hard on MT
Thanks 👍
Indian 2... What about CNG varient...
Well, I don't think there will be. Offroad vehicles are not meant to drive with CNG.
Sir which one to buy manual or automatic??
Which variant did you buy?
At or MT??
My friend, not sure why your comment was held for review by YT and now I see it after a week otherwise I always reply on comment on same day if it is not one hour time.
I bought MT being I am using 4x4 from last 15-20 years and have MT application more in hills, are you planning to or already have one?
Great presentation sir👍🏻

Suzuki should have returned the now discounted money to the earlier customers as a goodwill gesture
Jimny sale in India will be stopped i think
Roxx already booked almost two lakhs now
I have become fan of your knowledge
Well, Suzuki played so badly and what you said is the voice of almost all early buyers. Suzuki badly spoiled her brightest kid named "Jimny".
Hope, you do not mind, ironically, success of Jimny also in the interest of all buyers so they will get better support instead calling it a discontinued car. A bitter truth!
Thanks for your kind words and support!

I really feel very Sorry for Jimnys failure in India ( a very capable True SUV failed in India )
Jimny deserve more
Maruti Suzuki themselves should be blamed also I agree with you in all the points and all are very true and valid points
I hope it might become a cult vehicle at a later date
Like the film Agneepath ( Old one )
You have rightly said, but if you trust me Jimny is not failed, it will surely pickup the sales if and only if Suzuki come forward be very honest with customer. Suzuki also made a hype of booking in the same way Mahindra is making right now. They all are same and making fool of customer. They all create hype of competition and we all become an easy prey. Again a bitter truth!
I am putting all my efforts for Jimny and Jimny owners. This is all I can do!

@@MashofreaksAuto Thanks for your reply help and support
But my opinion is that Maruti doesn't seem to have anymore true intention to sell Jimny in India
They are happy with the export numbers
They killed a very capable and brightest product Jimny (as you said and I also agree ) right at the beginning
Now it seems almost impossible
But hope for the best
But still trust me it is not gonna fail. I have reason for it probably can't discuss in comment section.
But you are right that they have good export number and this is one of the reason which will not be able to out Jimny that soon from India! Given you a hint sir. 😊
Jimmy is one of the best 4 x4 available in India , I have done around 27000 KM in 8 months .
Thanks for sharing your experiences and the same here. It is awesome companion virtually go anywhere. If it stuck somewhere there are only a few options but those options stuck with their weight on the other obstacle, especially in hills. 👏

If you have time, also watch my 10 Mistakes in Jimny Launch published yesterday.
I m getting 10-12 kmpl in city n 13-14 kmpl on highways with automatic variant.
Beautiful vehicle ,
Thanks 👍
Exactly...
Nothing fits to all. It is very practical for Indian conditions and very simple fewer electronics.
Well, you rightly said. Jimny is so loved in South Africa, Australia, South East Asia, and many other countries being it is so compact off-roader, virtually go anywhere. Thanks 👍

360 camera connect and 5 passengers required
Pritpal ji, very true and I am with you. 360 was the easiest thing but as you know to make it sit 5 person they probably forced to widen the chassis which is equivalent to re-engineering the new vehicle because all the underbody parts including suspension has to be re-engineered but Suzuki wanted to earn easy profit. 😊
I really love the jimny but aapsos can't afford it 😢

My friend the choices must be respected and you have the full right to make your decision. Trust me it's a real utility realized when one goes to narrow spaces, hills and goes anywhere virtually in any season which becomes the biggest reason why the Indian Army chosen its sibling Gypsy.
